Bring All the Elements into Every Room in Your Home or Office
I am mainly an Earth and Kitchen Witch, so I like to have something related to my eclectic pagan path in every room of my home including my basement and enclosed front porch. As I have visitors that I have to keep my spiritual path on the down low with I use the following ideas to still have my home be my quiet, protected place.
I use different style, clear glass containers to match the rooms decor. In these I place some stones for Earth, a seashell for Water, a matchstick for Fire, and a small feather for Air. I suggest putting the feather on the bottom or somewhere close to the middle of the other objects, so it does not get blown away. Then as most people believe in angels in one form or another, I place a small angel statue next to the container holding the other elements for Spirit.
I bless each clear glass container by saying, “Earth, Air, Fire, and Water please bring me what I need from you each day. I charge you to help protect my home.” I repeat this nine times over each clear glass container in the room it belongs in and finish with, “These are my words, this is my will, so mote it be.”
For each angel statue I bless it by saying, “Please help me have clear thoughts and sight to stay on my true-life path. Help me to remember to be kind to everyone I come in contact with no matter how they may treat and/or talk me. “I repeat this nine times over each angel in the room it belongs in and finish with, “These are my words, this is my will, so mote it be.”
If you want, you can included a black stone in each container and make one to carry in a pocket or purse with PUT AH written on it. PUT AH stands for the following:
Patience
Understanding
Tolerance
Acceptance
Harmony
To charge each stone with these attributes say this spell nine times while holding it in your power hand (the hand you write with):
I ask for patience, understanding, and tolerance
for better acceptance of people, places, situations, they way people talk to or about me
so I can live in better harmony within myself, my home, work, and world.
These are my words, this is my will, so mote it be
The reason I say the blessings and spells nines time each is to make it strong as it comes out to three times three.

Salute to Aningan – the Inuit God of the Moon
The northern sky is broad and flawless black,
A vast expanse from which most look away,
But Aningan the Moon is on the track
Of caribou and seals, and will not stray.
His barking dogs work hard to pull his sleigh,
Weighted down with fur, and ivory tusks, and meat.
Watch over us, Brave Moon. We pass your way.
And come as brother hunters, on hushed feet.
We ask for your forbearance as we meet
The challenges laid out along the trail.
We brave the winter’s cold, the summer’s heat,
But know that with your wisdom, none shall fail.
Though harsh the path, your patience will not pall;
You serve as an example to us all

Appalachia – From Wikipedia
Appalachia (/ˌæpəˈlætʃə, –leɪtʃə, –leɪʃə/) is a cultural region in the Eastern United States that stretches from the Southern Tier of New York State to northern Alabama and Georgia.[1] While the Appalachian Mountains stretch from Belle Isle in Canada to Cheaha Mountain in Alabama, Appalachia typically refers only to the cultural region of the central and southern portions of the range, from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia southwest to the Great Smoky Mountains. As of the 2010 United States Census, the region was home to approximately 25 million people.[2]
Since its recognition as a distinctive region in the late 19th century, Appalachia has been a source of enduring myths and distortions regarding the isolation, temperament, and behavior of its inhabitants. Early 20th century writers often engaged in yellow journalism focused on sensationalistic aspects of the region’s culture, such as moonshining and clan feuding, and often portrayed the region’s inhabitants as uneducated and prone to impulsive acts of violence. Sociological studies in the 1960s and 1970s helped to re-examine and dispel these stereotypes.[3]
While endowed with abundant natural resources, Appalachia has long struggled economically and been associated with poverty. In the early 20th century, large-scale logging and coal mining firms brought wage-paying jobs and modern amenities to Appalachia, but by the 1960s the region had failed to capitalize on any long-term benefits[4] from these two industries. Beginning in the 1930s, the federal government sought to alleviate poverty in the Appalachian region with a series of New Deal initiatives, such as the construction of dams to provide cheap electricity and the implementation of better farming practices. On March 9, 1965, the Appalachian Regional Commission[5] was created to further alleviate poverty in the region, mainly by diversifying the region’s economy and helping to provide better health care and educational opportunities to the region’s inhabitants. By 1990, Appalachia had largely joined the economic mainstream but still lagged behind the rest of the nation in most economic indicators.[3]
