The Witches Spell-A-Day for Wednesday, March 29th – A Spring Abundance Spell

A Spring Abundance Spell

Now that trees and shrubs are beginning to show signs of growth, it’s the perfect time to perform this ritual. You’ll need a pliable stem about two to three feet long from a tree or shrub such as a willow or forsythia. Being by weaving the steam into a small wreath. As you weave, say:

The winds of winter are a thing of the past
Spring, I welcome you at last.
Growth and abundance are draw to me.
Now I’m blessed with prosperity.

As you weave the stem, visualize growth and abundance being bound to you. When you’re done, hang the wreath on a branch to the tree or shrub from whic it came. Thank the tree or shrub. You’ve created some positive karma, which will increase the flow of abundance coming to you.

The Witches Magick for Friday, March 24th – Banishing And Sealing Ritual For The Home

der Maler verführt sein ModelBanishing And Sealing Ritual For The Home

To be performed during at the New Moon, but may be performed at any time in need.

You will need a new white Candle (any size with holder), small bowls for Water and Salt, and a large bowl of water as well, and the censer and an appropriate incense. (Choose one that brings to your mind qualities you wish to have in your home.)
Banishing Ritual:

Meditate for a few moments on the task ahead; then make a brief
invocation to the Goddess and the God, asking for Their Aid and Power in the Work you will do.

Light the white candle in its holder, and charcoal in the censer (or an incense stick may be used instead).

Consecrate Water and Salt in the usual way.

Consecrate the water in the bowl in the same manner, but do not add Salt; place this bowl in the center of the room.

Take the consecrated Water, elevate it to North, and say,

“In the name of (Goddess) and (God)
I banish with Water and Earth.”

Sprinkle the Water lightly widdershins around the perimeter of the room.

Bless the incense, then elevate the censer (or incense stick) to North, and say,

“In the name of (Goddess) and (God)
I banish with Fire and Air.”

Cense the perimeter of the room widdershins.

Take the Candle and cast a Banishing Earth Pentagram at North. (Draw the Pentagram with the censer or incense stick, starting from the bottom left point up to the top point, and so forth.) As you cast the Pentagram say,

“With this Sign I banish ye, foul shades of the (Quarter)!
Let this home be freed of your baneful influences!”

Then go widdershins around the perimeter of the room, casting a
Banishing Pentagram at each Quarter beginning at the West and ending back at North, repeating the above at each Quarter. (Do not repeat it again at North.)

Now turn and face the center of the room, where the bowl of water sits.

With your hands, draw any negative energy or vibrations remaining, and cast them into the water in the bowl by flicking or snapping your fingers at it. Repeat this action until you are satisfied the room is cleansed. Do not touch the water in the bowl, as it is being filled with the negative forces you are eliminating.

Move the consecrated Water, the Salt, the Incense, the Candle, and the bowl of water (being careful not to spill it) into each room in your home and repeat this ritual.

After banishing every room in the home (including bathroom, closets, pantry, etc.) you have finished. Empty the large bowl of water into running water (a sink or toilet will do). Wash the bowl thoroughly with cold water, scrubbing with some of the consecrated Salt.
Sealing Ritual:

Take all the Elemental substances used in the Banishing Ritual (Salt,
consecrated Water, wax drippings from the Candle, and ashes from the incense) and mix them into a paste.

Using your forefinger, use the mixture to draw an Invoking Fire
Pentagram at each opening leading outside the home (the doors and the windows – and even the water pipes, if you should feel the need) while concentrating on the Intention of protecting your home from outside influences. (Draw the Pentagram from the top point to the bottom right, and so forth. Form the Star so that it is point up, or point out, as appropriate.) You may make two Stars at each opening if you wish – one on the sill or threshold, and the other on the door or window itself.

Remember that Intent is the key to success in this, as in all magickal operations; going through the motions without Will brings no results.

Monday & The Perfect Corresponding Spell

Winter Fantasy FriendsMonday & The Perfect Corresponding Spell

When dealing with a weekly spell guide, Mondays are thought to be the logical day for money, love, time and meditation spells. Since Mondays are thought to be the start of the work week, it gives plenty of time for a Monday spell to gain strength throughout the rest of the week.

Time Spells – Hands of Time Spell

Items you will need:

Both hands
6 fingers

Hold both of your hands in front of you. Stare at your hands, noticing your palms and fingers, for about thirty seconds. Then, say this chant one time:

“Palms sweaty,
From watching clocks.
No more.
One finger,
For every ten docked.
Seconds in a minute
1440 in a day.
Stop a few,
For singing birds
And trees that sway.”

This should feel like time has slowed-down and allowed you to appreciate life more.

Bury Your Old Self Spell

Bury Your Old Self Spell
by Robert Place

If you are bothered by an aspect of your personality that you would like to let go of, then take a new potato and a knife (or your athame) and carve the potato into an image that represents the aspect to you. At midnight, take the carved potato our into a field (or wherever you can find relatively undisturbed dirt) and bury it in the ground. As you do, repeat these words:

“With this image, I
consign this aspect of
myself to my mother the Earth.
As this image returns to the Earth,
this aspect of my personality
dissolves into my psyche
and is transformed into
new capabilities”

You’re done. As the image under the earth dissolves, so will the quality you want to be rid of!

Witches Spell-A-Day for Friday, January 6th – To Honor Perchta

WinterWitches Spell-A-Day for Friday, January 6th – To Honor Perchta

Today is the day of Frau Perchta, a Norse Goddess associated with the wilderness, spinning and even the Wild Hunt in some parts of Germany. On this night, folks would leave offerins of food out for her, hoping for her blessings of good luck in the coming year. Why not honor Perchta by leaving some cream and a hearty slice of bread out for her? And ask her for blessings throughout the year by creating some sort of simple weaving project, perhaps for use on your altar. Those simple weaving looms that use loops of fabric are very easy to work with and make great coasters and hot pads. Similar looms can also easily be made using cardboard. Check round the Web.

The Witches’ Spell-A-Day for Thursday, January 5th – An Ivy Spell

Wounds to wisdom...Athena An Ivy Spell

Traditionally this was the day ivy was used to divine what kind of health a person would experience during the coming year. Ivy was also used to protect the home from harmful energy during the winter months.

To predict your health for the rest of the year, you’ll need an ivy leaf, a bowl of water, and a clean white cloth. First, place the ivy leaf in the owl of water. Think of any health concerns you may have and cover the bowl with the cloth. Let it sit overnight undisturbed. Check the leave the following morning. If the leaf has remained green and unblemished, you should have a healthy year. If the leaf has begun to darken or is covered with black spots, you should take steps to protect your health—get plenty of rest watch your diet and so on. To protect your home from negativity, keep an ivy plant near a window or door.

The Witches Spell A Day for January 4th – World Braille Day

winterWorld Braille Day

Today we celebrate Louis Braille for his genius invention of the Braille system of raised writing. His visionary creation brought reading literature and education to those with vision challenges. Just as it takes only one candle to illuminate the darkness., it took only one man to bring light to the masses.

For this spell, you will need twelve white candles, some Florida water and a carving tool. Cleanse your candles with the Florida water. Carve any symbols or words that are special to you into the candles.

Close your eyes. Imagine what it would be like if you depended on your sensitive touch to read. Touch your candles, the open your eyes. Light one candle and take in its brilliant flame. Using this candle, light all the other candles. When finished, pinch out the candles while saying:

As above, so below. The magick is
with me wherever I go.

Use the candles to light other candles throughout the year.
