Devotional text
Blessed Bríg, keeper of the Sacred Flame,
Mother to all, and Lady of the Spring, I call to you.
Daughter of Dagda and Morrighan, born with
the rays of the sun, I call to you.
You who were nursed on the milk of the Sacred Cow,
whose footsteps bring flowers and shamrocks.
Blessed Bríg, whose flame burns evermore
with the light of the world, I call to you.
Blessed Bríg, weaver of webs and teller of stories, I call to you.
Blessed Bríg, healer of wounds and scars, I call to you.
As the light from your flame covers the skies as the sun rises,
I call to you to spread your blessings across this land as you once spread your
mantle.
Envelop all you touch with your healing grace.
Bring newborn babies into this world with love and hope. Grant the poet the words they seek
to spread your peace far and wide.
Weave a web and tell a story, oh Bríg, so that
those who weave as well may understand.
Blessed Bríg, grant your peace and patience across the land.
Every hill, every valley, every river, and stream shall sing your praise.
Lady Bríg, I call to you.
Come into my home and sit upon my hearth.
Bless my home and family with the protection you have to offer.
A bed is always here for you, Lady Bríg, if you would have it.
I call to you as I weave my web, paint my picture, and write my story.
May your blessings be ever present in my life.
I call to you, Lady Bríg, to instill in me the creativity and inspiration
that follows you wherever your feet may take you.
I stand at your feet, Blessed Bríg, and tend the hearth fire in your honor.
May your Sacred Flame burn always and never extinguish.
Blessed Bríg, I call to you. Purify me within the Sacred Well.
Heal me from all wounds and injuries. Bless and protect my hearth and kin.
Blessed Bríg, whose cattle are sacred to the land, I call to you.
Bless my hearth and kin with your nurturing hand. Allow us to live freely
in your light.
Blessed Bríg, Keeper of the Mysteries of Women, I call to you.
Lend me your guiding light. Keep me safe from all who would do me harm.
Blessed Bríg, mother of all and mother to none,
I call to you to keep
the old traditions alive.
Help me keep your Sacred Flame lit and
spread your unity across the land.
Blessed Bríg, daughter of Dagda and Morrighan, sister to Oghma, lover of
Bres, mother of Ruadan, Iuchar, and Uar.
Weaver of webs. Teller of stories. I call to you.
Come into my home.
Wear your crown and gem.
Lay your mantle over my home so that we may be enveloped in your peace, in
your unity, and your compassion. Envelop us with your inspiration,
Lady Bríg.
I call to you, Lady Bríg, that you may bless us so we may be as fruitful as
the Earth.
What is Brigid the goddess of?
Brigid is the goddess of the flame and the well, patroness of healing, poetry and smithcraft. She is a solar deity so her attributes are related to fire, light, and the hearth. 🔥
Brighid is the Celtic goddess of inspiration and also carries various powers related to inspiration, such as the art of healing, and divination. She was the patroness of sacred perpetual flames, such as that held by 19 nuns in a sanctuary in Kildare, Ireland (now in honor of St. Brigit).
The tradition of female priestesses who tend to eternal sacred flames is prevalent in ancient Indo-European spirituality. Other examples include the goddess Hestia, who watches over the hearth of the home, or Minerva.

A Native American Prayer To Awaken Your Spirit
By Nick Polizzi October 1, 2015 The Sacred Science > Prayers & Blessings > A Native American Prayer To Awaken Your Spirit Sometimes all we need in order to change our current reality is a little wisdom, spoken to us with gentleness and a pure heart. I came across this powerful Lakota prayer a few days ago and wanted to share it with you. I hope it helps you on your path. I know it did for me.
Lakota Prayer
Great Mystery,
teach me how to trust
my heart,
my mind,
my intuition,
my inner knowing,
the senses of my body,
the blessings of my spirit.
Teach me to trust these things
so that I may enter my Sacred Space
and love beyond my fear,
and thus Walk in Balance
with the passing of each glorious Sun.
According to certain tribes, the Sacred Space is the space between exhalation and inhalation. To Walk in Balance is to have Heaven (spirituality) and Earth (physicality) in Harmony.
At the core of this timeless wisdom is the word “trust”. When did we stop trusting ourselves? When did we start giving that trust, that power, away?
In many ways the spirit path is a process of reestablishing that trust with the infinite that resides within us, just waiting to be activated.
Wishing you a day of balance and harmony,
Nick & The Sacred Science Team

Crafting Your Own Sacred Schedule – Part 8
How Do You Celebrate?
Now, all this exploration doesn’t mean that every day you note as important must be acknowledged with elaborate ritual. Lighting a candle on your altar, taking a few moments to meditate outside, or preparing a favorite meal of a deceased loved one all work beautifully. If you know a particular day is going to hit you hard emotionally or mentally, then remember to schedule self-care of some kind. That can be anything from taking a cleansing bath to scheduling an outing with friends to dedicating the day to doing community service.

September 11, 2001 A Day That Will Always be Remembered
This will be the only post for today.
World Trade Center Before and After
I could not pick just one photograph for the memorials in different countries to those that died here is a link to look at The Memorials
The United States of America Pentagon Military Building
The red circle in the first photo is where the plane crashed into the Pentagon.
Images from Flight 93 Crashed near Shanksville, PA
“On September 11, 2001, 19 militants associated with the Islamic extremist group al Qaeda hijacked four airplanes and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. Two of the planes were flown into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the Pentagon just outside Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Almost 3,000 people were killed during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, which triggered major U.S. initiatives to combat terrorism and defined the presidency of George W. Bush.”
To read this lead story on History.com and may others about what happened on this day 18 years ago just click here Nations Around the World Mourn Yes I could quote articles from many different sources about this day but I could only handle reading some of the articles from this source before I started feeling the pain, confusion, and mourning of this day 18 years ago. If you wish to read other sources here is the general search link I used Google General Search for 9/11/2001
Do you remember where you were when American Airlines Flight # 11 hit the North Tower of the World Trade Center better know as the Twin Towers at 8:46 AM ET ? Then came United Flight # 175 flying into the South Tower at 9:03 AM ET. Do you remember where you were than? Next was American Airlines Flight number 77 that flew into the Pentagon at 9:45 AM ET. DO you remember what you were thinking about when this third plane tried to take out the USA’s center of all military operations? The last plane to crash that surreal day was in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania at 10:10 AM ET the brave men and women after hearing about the other planes tried to take back control of Flight 93. The misled devotees of Osama bin Laden crashed the plane into a field just to keep control of this plane that investigators that was headed for the USA capitol in Washington D. C. or Camp David, a presidential retreat, in Maryland. This was the only flight where the only casualties were the brave people aboard the plane. Do you remember what you were doing or thinking than? I light 1 white taper candle at the time that each of the airplanes were use as a weapon to attack the USA by a terrorist organization.
For those of us in the USA the air was quite when then President George W. Bush grounded of all flights into and out of the USA until further notice, Most of us were in shock not only from the attack but the fact that we could look up and not see any type of plane or helicopter in the air for the first time in the history of airplanes taking passengers all over the world. I remember thinking, “This is how peaceful the air was for birds before the first plane ever flew.” Which may seem like a strange thought but waiting to find out if relatives of mine had made it out of the South Tower or not I had to turn my mind towards nature just to allow myself to think at all without screaming.
Thank the gods and goddesses my family did not lose the life of a loved one that day but to this day they are different people than who they were before the attack suffering from PTSD and survivors guilt one took their own life on the 10 year remembrance day of the attack that took so many of their friends. I refuse to call all the September 11ths after the horrific one in 2001 an anniversary because anniversaries are suppose to recall a day that something happy happened such as a wedding or your first kiss, etc. If anyone reading this lost someone to death or mental illness or physical disability on September 11, 2001 or as a direct result from this date if you feel you can please share your friend or love ones name in the comment section. If you want to add anything else about the person please do I for one would like to know more about the person behind the name who was needlessly sacrificed by the terrorist either here or in the military. Also remember the animals that have given their lives searching the World Trade Center Towers and in foreign lands. Many gave their lives so their human could be safe.
I ask each and everyone of reading this post to please take time out of your busy day to remember those that perished on this day and the families and friends left behind also all the military personal and their family and friends who died fighting in a foreign land hopefully keep our country safe from another terrorist attack on our soil. All these people deserve the honor of us remembering them and the sacrifices made on September 11, 2001. The Ancient Egyptians believed that as long as a persons name was not forgotten and spoke out loud they were still alive in the underworld. Following is the list of names for all of those who were sacrificed on that surreal, horrible day 18 years ago. Please randomly pick out names from the almost 3,000 and say them out loud during the time you take today to remember the honored dead along with their families and friends. Keep in mind that these people came from my nationalities, religions, and cultures. Some I am sure were our pagan brothers and sisters. Also, try to remember as hard as it maybe that the families who did not know their child was a terrorist have to live with the shame of what their child did to other peoples children. I ask you to please say a prayer for the innocent family members of the 19 terrorist that came to our country to try and destroy much more then just our way of life these innocent people need comfort also.

This Song Has A New Meaning for Me Today
Last evening I became the grandmother to my 6th grandson bring my grand total of grandchildren to 9!! I was allowed to do his Wiccaning with in minutes of his birth so his ancestors are already watching over him along with my son and daughter-in-law also our large extended family.
I asked for prayers for my daughter-in-law (D-I-L) as she had to have an emergency c-section due do preeclampsia (women in the later stages of their pregnancy can all of a sudden develop high blood pressure that can be life threatening to mother and the child she is carrying) and gestational diabetes. As she was adopted she has none of her medical history background but I am not to worried about my grandson as my D-I-L has been healthy but a little overweight her whole life.
Please do not share this post with anywhere else due to a request from my son. Thank you.
