[Fertility spells are good for other things besides having a baby. I have tweaked them to use for a project to be fruitful. I even used one for WOTC to be give birth to my way of doing this website when I took it over in 2019 as well as other websites I have designed for other people.]

EGG WISH SPELL FOR FERTILITY

“On an egg whose shell is brown or pink,

Sign these signs in grass-green ink.
[a simple sun, a male symbol, an encircled equilateral cross, a female sign,
then an upside-down 5-pointed star]
Bury it deep in an earth-filled pot,
Let this stand where the sun is hot;
Sow on its surface seeds of grass,
Water them well while nine weeks pass
Gather the crop, bind it with thread
Let it hang always above your bed

Some of the Witchcraft/Magickal Correspondence for Thursday

Thursday is a Jupiter day. Here is the day of the week for prosperity, abundance, and good health. Thursday is “Thor’s day.” This Norse god gave the day his name and many of his attributes, including strength and abundance. Some suggestions for Thursday enchantments would include:

Wearing a regal and royal shade of blue to see how it affects your mood and your magic. Other colors for the day include purple and green.

Carrying a turquoise tumbled stone in your pocket to draw a little protective and healing energy your way

Incorporating honeysuckle blossoms and cinquefoil foliage into prosperity charms

Calling on Thor for abundance, or on the Roman god Jupiter for the ability to peacefully referee a fight

Adding a few oak leaves—which are sacred to these Thursday gods—to your charms to see how much better your spell works out

Casting a charm with wheat stalks for prosperity, and calling on Juno Moneta to bring wealth into your life

Baking up some whole wheat bread and blessing it for abundance. Be sure to thank the gods for your family and your good health.

Some of the Witchcraft/Magickal Correspondence for a Full Moon

The Full Moon: Your Heart’s Desire Seek

A powerful energy for rituals of prophecy, divination and protection. Any spellwork that requires extra energy, such as finding a new job or healing serious conditions, is best begun during the full moon. Also for love, gaining sacred knowledge, legal matters, attracting money and prophetic dreams.

This is a time to really go for what you want. When the moon is full, her energy is very powerful and you can ask her to help you to accomplish almost anything. The energy of the full moon is great for magick involving divination, dreams, love and whatever else you desire. Some say full moon energy is available three days before the actual date of the full moon and three days after that date. I personally say the day before and the day after the full moon is most potent.

We use the power of the full moon to cleanse and empower tools by leaving them to soak up lunar rays. You can do this by leaving them outside or in a windowsill that gets moonlight on it.

April: Growing Moon

Also known as: Hare Moon, Seed or Planting Moon, Planter’s Moon, Budding Trees Moon, Eastermonath (Eostre Month), Ostarmanoth, Pink Moon, Green Grass Moon

Plan a ritual to physically plant your seeds of desire in Mother Earth.

Nature Spirits: plant faeries

Herbs: basil, chives, dragon’s blood, geranium, thistle

Colors: crimson red, gold

Flowers: daisy, sweetpea

Scents: pine, bay, bergamot, patchouli

Stones: ruby, garnet, sard

Trees: pine, bay, hazel

Animals: bear, wolf

Birds: hawk, magpie

Deities: Kali, Hathor, Anahita, Ceres, Ishtar, Venus, Bast

Power Flow: energy into creating and producing; return balance to the nerves.

Change, self-confidence, self-reliance, take advantage of opportunities.

Work on temper and emotional flare-ups and selfishness.

Tarot Card

Today’s Tarot card reading comes from The Celtic Dragon Tarot by D. J. Conway. With art done by Lisa Hunt. This deck is unique as the cards are never read in reverse. Copyright 2001 Pages 150 and 151

Five/5 of Pentacles – Minor Arcana

Loss; unpleasant differences

A man and a woman walk away from each other, each determined that their way or opinion is the only one. Five broken disks with pentacles lie on the ground between them. These disks symbolize life, friendship, cooperation, and/or love built between them, now destroyed because of ego and lack of compromise. Five dragons in the sky above them scream their anger and displeasure. Little dragons hiss at each other over the broken disks. The balance of the spiritual forces they have cultivated with their relationship has been upset, turning positive energies and events into negative ones.

Divinatory Meaning: Take care or there may be a loss of home or job. Differences arise that could divide friends or lovers. There may be a period of deep loneliness.

“Create a sacred space for yourself in your home and/or place of work”

A Sacred Space is an area in your home or work place where you have some privacy for contemplation, mediation, or simply a bit of quite time to think. If this isn’t possible to do at work, it becomes even more imperative that you provide this for yourself in your home. This is a space that is your territory, whether it’s an entire room or a corner of your living room or bedroom. Place a cozy chair or pillow there, and then set up a simple altar, one that contains a few pieces that are both personal and precious. Include a candle in your space that you can light when you’re abiding there. Make your sacred space a comfortable place to hang out, with no agenda or compulsion to do anything. As Buddha said, “Don’t just do something; sit there.”

You may find all sorts of reasons or excuses not to do this, but don’t cave in to these internal objections. Make it important enough for your emotional and mental health and balance to create this kind of private spiritual sanctuary. Be sure to do nothing in particular for a good period of the time you sit there. The increasingly rapid pace of life and growing intensities in the world are even greater cause for doing so. It’s a place for solace, one where you can more closely listen to your inner voice and feelings, and tap into the Life Force inside that’s expressing itself as you.

Associations: Rarity; Vegetarianism; Polarity; Willpower; Solitude; Privacy; Sacred Space; Intuition; Perspective; Gentleness; Strength; Flexibility; Modesty; Economy

St – Straith

This symbol, used for the sound St, is Straith (sometimes seen as Straif), the Blackthorn tree. A symbol of authority and control, the Blackthorn is connected to strength and triumph over adversity. Blackthorn is a tree (although some might argue it’s more of a really big shrub) of winter, and its berries only ripen after the first frost. White flowers appear in the spring, and the bark is black and thorny.

On a medicinal level, Blackthorn berries–sloe berries–are brewed to make a tonic (this is what Sloe Gin is made from). The tonic can be used as a laxative and/or diuretic, as well as a skin astringent. In folklore, the Blackthorn has a fairly unpleasant reputation. An English legend refers to a devastating winter as a “Blackthorn Winter.” It also represents the darker side of magic and witchcraft. Because it’s a plant that becomes hardy when all around it is dying, it is associated with the Dark Mother, the Crone aspect of the Goddess, particularly the Cailleach in some parts of Scotland and Ireland. There is also a strong connection to the Morrighan, because of Blackthorn’s association with the blood and death of warriors. In fact, in early Celtic culture, the Blackthorn was popular for its use in the cudgel shillelagh.

Some of the Witchcraft/Magickal Correspondence and a Spell for Wednesday

Wednesday from flyingthehedge.com

This day of the week gets its name from Woden’s Day, an Old English name. It is a direct translation of the Latin term mercurri dies, “day of Mercury.” When they translated the day, they changed to god Mercury to a local god, Woden, so people would understand. This is a great day to work on communications, thought, wisdom, self-expression, and the arts. Also a good day for divination.
Color: Purple, orange
Planet: Mercury
Deities: Odin, Woden, Hermes, Mercury, Athena, Lugh
Crystals: Adventuine, agate
Herbs: Aspen, lilies, lavender, fern
Associations: Business, communication, debt, the arts, transportation, fortune, chance, creativity

(SIDE NOTE from Lady Carla Beltane: Ra happens to be my patron god. So, I am always interested in learning new ways to include him in my daily “prayers” and rituals.)

Ra: Devotional Prayer for the Sun

Light a yellow or golden candle during this devotional.

Incense for Ra:

Frankincense, Sandalwood, Lemongrass.

Offerings to Ra:

Apples, Oranges, Lemons, Honey, Beer, Dates, Sunflowers.

Ra is the Sun god in Egyptian mythology.

The symbol of sunlight, giver of life, as well as responsible for the cycle of death and resurrection. He is the god who represents the midday sun, at its maximum splendor.

At the beginning of the Old Kingdom, Ra was just one of several existing solar deities, but around BCE he had become the official god of the pharaohs, who considered themselves his children, and even his incarnations. During Dynasty V his status was elevated to national deity and later linked to the Theban god Amun to become Amun-Ra, the main deity of the Egyptian pantheon.

His most usual representation was that of a man with a hawk’s head, on which he carried the solar disk. Another form of worship given to this deity was as Ra-Horajti, a solar god with a hawk’s head, crowned by the solar disk and a halo, with a Was-sceptre and an ankh.

This prayer can be used as part of you daily Wiccan devotional routine, or in a spell where you want to add attributes related to the Sun, such as Fire, heat, growth, or success.

Devotional text

O solar disk, lord of radiance, rising on the horizon every day,

may you shine on the face of your servant.

I have come before you; may I be with you to see your Disk every day.

I praise you when you shine,

And I speak to you when you rise.

You bring morning to exalt your forms,

and you ascend to magnify your beauties.

Advancing, you fashion your limbs in gold;

You turn your face to the west,

and my arms are raised in acclamation of your setting in life;

indeed, it is you who who is eternally praised when you set in the Celestial Waters.

I place you in my heart without weakness, more divine than the gods.

Praise to you, rising as gold,

bringing dawn to the Two Lands on the day of your birth.

You have brightened the circuit of the solar disk with great brightness,

rising from the Celestial Waters.

Causing every land, every town, and every house to celebrate,

protected by your beauties,

holding up your soul with food and drink offerings.

You will sail over the substance of heaven;

you will join with the stars.

Hymns will be made for you in the boat;

you will be called in the Morning Boat.

I will see you in your shrine,

As you make your disk to set every day,

drawing on the Evening Boat to its arrival.

May you have a fair wind, as the boat sets out on its journey,

and sails on till it comes into port.

The gods of the South, the gods of the North,

the gods of the West, and the gods of the East praise you,

Make my spirit-soul to be glorious,

make my Heart-soul to be divine.

You are worshipped as you set, Lord of the gods,

you are exalted by reason of your wondrous works.

Shine you with the rays of light on my body day by day, on me.

One of our favorite ways to protect the home with a spell is by reinforcing the foundational four walls of your full property. By placing symbols, totems, crystals, or plants in the four corners, you mark the boundaries of your safe space.

The element of Earth represents the energy of a strong, safe, and grounded foundation. So, in this spell, we’ll be using one of the most well-connected spell ingredients we could find.

The main ingredient of this house protection spell is a potato. Potatoes dig deep into the Earth, creating strong, nourishing roots. The plant, itself, is poisonous; this natural defense mechanism helps deter predators from harming the plant. So, we’ll utilize those two symbolic aspects of the potato to keep your home safe from harm, safe from negative energy, and full of nourishing love.

Potato Home Protection Spell

Spell Timing:

Waning Gibbous

Spell Ingredients:

Spell Directions:

  1. Cleanse: Cleanse your sacred space with a sage bundle or palo santo.
  2. Cast: If your spiritual path calls for it, cast a protective circle around your sacred space.
  3. Prepare:
    1. Using your boline, cut the potato into quarters. Each quarter represents a corner of your home.
    2. On the paper, draw the property outline of your property, making sure to draw it as large as the paper. Draw your home within the boundaries of your property.
    3. Place the candles at the 4 corners of your property line.
  4. Enchant: One by one, hold a quarter of a potato and light one candle. Say:
    1. Beacon of protection shine up to the sky
Protect this beautiful house of mine
I call down protection from all around
To take root and protect us deep in the ground
And as this plant begins to grow
Harmful visitors shall turn and go
Forget the reason you came here
I no longer live in fear.
    2. Repeat this for each potato quarter.
  5. Visualize: Visualize a box of golden, protective light connecting each of the candles. Know and see that your home is safe.
  6. Close the circle: If you cast a circle for step two, take your circle down, now.
  7. Finish the spell: Let the candles burn out on their own. As they burn, bury one potato piece in each quarter of the yard. Visualize a box of golden, protective light connecting each of your property’s corners. Know and see that your home is safe.

Some of the Witchcraft/Magickal Correspondence and a Spell for Saturday

Saturday from apaganmess.com

Planet: Saturn
Element: Earth
Colors: Black, Purple
Keywords: Banishing, Protection, Control, Order, Boundaries, Self Discipline, Cleansing

Saturn brings a powerful, somewhat intimidating power to Saturdays. This is another great day for banishing and protection magic, as well as for setting strong boundaries. The energy of Saturn is very orderly and is great when structure is needed.

Hopefully this gave you an idea of how you can time spells with the days of the week to give them a boost! As always, do what works for you rand what you’re drawn to. If you feel like you need to do a love spell on a Wednesday instead of a Friday, do it! Find what you best connect with and always follow your gut.

Leaf Spell for Release

Take a walk in nature and reflect on what no longer serves you. Collect a leaf and use it to cast this spell to let go pain and the past so you can summon peace and restore your sense of inner harmony.

I love casting this spell in fall, especially around the fall harvest festival known as Mabon. The fall is a wonderfully transformative time. As the leaves begin to change color and drop to the ground, we are reminded that sometimes we need to let go in order to change.

ITEMS NEEDED

leaf

ziploc bag

chopstick or something similar

STEPS

1. Go for a walk outside and reflect on what you would like to let go of

2. Collect a newly fallen leaf

3. Place the leaf in a ziploc bag and use the chopstick to “write” the thing you want to let go of on the leaf. Press on the leaf through the ziploc bag firmly enough to see the marks on the leaf, but be careful not to tear the leaf.

4. Take the leaf outside. Focus on releasing what no longer serves you and recite the incantation below. Let go of the leaf and release it back to nature.

“The past I leave with this leaf,

let go of pain and summon peace”

Some Witchcraft/Magickal Correspondence Digest for Thursday

Thursday: When the hammer is smashing up the skies

And we have just arrived to Thursday, named after Thor, the Norse god of thunder. He travels through the heavens in a chariot, wearing a special belt and iron gloves which give him extra strength to lift his giant hammer.

Romance languages based their fifth day’s name upon the Latin Dies Iovis, meaning the Day of Jupiter (jueves in Spanish, jeudi in French, giovedi in Italian). Jupiter was a chief Roman god, the god of laws and social order. His attribute was a thunderbolt.

Thursday’s Witchery

Today is the day for prosperity work of all kinds. It can also be used for healing work, whether that is a physical healing of an illness or an emotional healing. Also remember that you have to follow up your healing work and prosperity magick and physical action.

I can’t tell you the number of times I have met new witches who complain to me that their prosperity spell or “I need a better job” spell did not work as they expected. They’ll ramble on and on about how much time and money they spent working their magick….but, alas, they had no glorious manifestation of wealth or fabulous job that suddenly dropped out of the sky and landed in their laps.

Then, when I gently ask them, “Did you enchant your resume or application when you filled it out? Did you do a little confidence-boosting spellwork when you went to apply for the job or went to the interview?” typically they give me a blank, confused stare.

Nine times out of ten, their response is, “You mean I have to go out and actually look for the job too?” Um, yes, my dear, you certainly do. Magick follows the path of least resistance, which means it’s going to manifest along the simplest, quickest route. Get out there and hit the pavement. See what you can find. Times are tough and competition for good jobs is fierce, so you need whatever edge you can get. For folks like us, we’re going to get the edge by using our magick and our spellcraft.

Thursdays have such a rich source of magick for us to draw upon that, honestly, the sky is the limit. This is the day associated with the gods of the sky and heavens, after all. Get to know these deities and add their wisdom and magick into your days

Tuesday from learnreligions.com

Named for the Norse god Tyr, who was a deity of heroism and combat, Tuesday is a very martial sort of day—color associations include bright red and oranges, as well as warrior-like metals such as iron and steel.

The ancient Romans called this day Martis, after the warrior god Mars—other deities associated with Tuesday include Ares, the Morrighan, and other gods of battle and glory. Red gemstones like rubies and garnets come into play on Tuesdays, as do herbs and plants such as thistles, holly, coneflowers, and cacti—you’ll notice these are all sharp, prickly plants!

One of the interesting—and more than a little amusing—aspects of Tuesday magic is that in addition to war and conflict against your enemies, this is a day also associated with marriage. You can also use this day of the week for magical workings connected to protection and initiation. Use Tuesday to assert yourself, make a mark and stake your claims.

The Introverts Spell

This spell isn’t just for introverts. It’s for anyone who needs a boost of confidence before interacting with other people, such as at parties, speeches, job interviews, or family dinners.

Start by creating a sacred space around you and connecting to your power. Next, interlace your fingers behind your back. If that’s uncomfortable for you, simply relax your shoulders down away from your ears. Imagine your shoulder blades drawing together as your chest and heart opens up to the space in front of and above you. Speak (or think) an affirmation while in this position.

Example Affirmations:

“Everything I need is within.”

“The power of the Universe flows through me.”

“I’m magic.”

It doesn’t matter what you chose to say as long as it’s positive and makes you feel ready to face the world. Saying something like, “I will not mess this up.” won’t work because it puts the focus on “messing up”.

Breaking Bad Luck

You may need:

Small piece of ginger root

Fennel seed (if you cannot get fennel try dried sage)

Few cloves

Dried basil

Small bag or pouch

Optional – yellow crystal such as citrine

Put all the ingredients into the bag. If you have a small piece of any yellow crystal it is a good idea to add this too. Say:

“Herbs of the earth fill my life with light
Bring me good luck in a day and a night.
This spell is seeped in magick and mystery
Make my bad luck a thing of history
Bad luck will go deep into the ground
From now on good luck will follow me around”
So Mote It Be.”

Keep the bag with you for a day and a night and then bury it deep in the ground – somewhere that is not on your property. This will bury your bad luck.
