Spell To Assist In Readings and Divination

Items You Will Need:

White candle

Whatever tools you use for divination, such as tarot cards, runes, crystal ball, etc.

Not every form of divination works for every Witch. Sometimes it take trial and error to discover which one work the best for you. If you are having a hard time seeing clearly, try doing this before attempting a reading. It is also a good one to do if the issue at hand is very important.

If you still have a hard time seeing the answers you seek, you can try having your familiar help by giving them a choice of tarot cards or runes stones, and seeing which one they pick.

You can call on any God or Goddess for this spell. Apollo is used here because he was the patron God of the Oracle at Delphi, probably the most famous center of divination in the ancient world.

Great Apollo
Farseeing and wise
Help me see clearly
As if through your eyes

Bless now these tools
And the one who will see
And send me your vision
Of what is to be

Help me set aside feelings
That get in the way
So I might see true
In my reading today.

Card of the Day: Scots Pine

The Scots Pine is a tree that we get great versatility from. It brings clarity, adaptability, and creativeness. But its main focus is to bring inspiration to follow our own path. The Pine brings forth saying “take responsibility for your actions” You are here to serve a higher purpose.

When the Pine is left our of our lives, we no longer can confront any issues in our life. So then what enters: confusion, fear, timid.

So, this card fits perfect for what is going on in this world. Remember, to be you and bring some Pine into your life. Go with what is inside you.

Odin’s Rune for September 12 is Mannaz

The starting point is the self. Its essence is water. Only clarity, willingness to change, is effective now. A correct relationship to yourself is primary, for from it flow all possible right relationships with others and with the Divine.

Remain modest – that is the Oracle’s counsel. Regardless of how great may be your merit, be yielding, devoted and moderate, for then you have a true direction for your life.

Be in the world but not of it. And yet do not be closed, narrow, or judging; rather, remain receptive to impulses flowing from the Divine within and without. Strive to live the ordinary life in a nonordinary way. Remember at all times what is coming to be and passing away, and focus on that which abides. Nothing less is called for from you now. This is a time of major growth and rectification and, as a rule, rectification must come before progress. The field is tilled before the seed is planted, the garden is weeded before the flower blooms, and the self must know stillness before it can discover its true song.

Now is not a time to seek credit for accomplishments or to focus on results. Instead, be content to do your task`s for the tasks sake. Herein lies the secret of experiencing a true present.

If you take the Rune of the Self and cut it down the middle, you will see the Rune for Joy with its mirror image. There is here a subtle caution against carelessness. The Self is required to balance the self.

Nothing in excess was the second phrase written over the gateway to the temple at Delphi. The first counsel was Know thyself.

Reversed: If you feel blocked, Mannaz urges you to begin by being clear with yourself. Do not turn to others now, but look inside, in silence, for the enemy of your progress. No matter what area of your life is in disarray, stop and consider: You will recognize the outer enemy as but a reflection of what you have not, until now, been able or willing to recognize as coming from within.

Above all do not give yourself airs. Breaking the momentum of past habits is the challenge here: In the life of the Spirit, you are always at the beginning.

Dream Oracle (3) Saint Swithin

Dream Oracle (3)

Saint Swithin

1. On Saint Swithin’s Eve, July 14th, cut the corners off a square of fine paper and burn them.

2. Using a new pen with red ink, write down the three things you most wish to know on the corner-less paper.

3. Fold the paper up, wrap three hairs from your head around it. Make it knot with each, reiterating one query with each.

4. Place this paper under your pillow for three nights and all will be revealed to you.

Within each of us lies an oracle to whom we can turn for guidance. Imagine entering a dimly lit room. Your oracle – a wise woman – sits at the other side of a table. You approach her and describe your dilemma. She asks you to pick three magick cards out of her fanned out deck and lay them face-down on the table. Smiling, she begins to turn the cards over, revealing images and words that reflect on your situation. As she does so the room becomes brighter and you realize what it is that you need to do next. You thank your oracle and leave.
