Simple & Quick Divinations

Simple & Quick Divinations

Hair Divination

Throw some hair into a fire. It is said to be a sign of long life if the hair flames up vigorously. It is an omen of ill health if it simply smolders away.

Rosemary Divination

Take a sprig of rosemary and ask a yes or no question seven times. Then pluck a leaf from the sprig and say YES. Pluck another leaf and say NO. Continue alternating yes and no with each leaf you pick until the sprig is base. The last leaf you pick reveals the answer.

Water Divination

Holding a stone, sit in front of a bowl of water and ask a question, one that can be answered with either a yes or no. Drop the stone into the water and carefully count the ripples it creates. An even number of ripples means yes and an odd number means no.

Tarot Divination

TAROT DIVINATION

Not long ago an on-line friend told me that he saw no reason to use the Tarot in divination; in fact, he felt that no one should use them for divination, as this was a profane use of the cards. He preferred to use the cards solely for contemplation.

At the time I did not feel inclined to respond to this narrow view, but after a night of thinking about it, I was prompted to write the following in defense of Tarot Divination (and I don’t mean fortune telling!)

Divination:
1) The art or practice that seeks to foresee or foretell future events or
discover hidden knowledge usually by means of augury (divination from omens) or by the aid of super-natural powers
2) Unusual insight or intuitive perception (these definitions from Webster’s)

According to the Brotherhood of Light there are four main uses for the Tarot:
1) Science of Vibration
2) Divination by cards
3) Divination by number
4) Spiritual Science (the method of putting the rest together to develop a philosophy)

Is it wrong to USE the cards?

1) Playing cards is fun! Without such use perhaps Tarot would long ago have died as other games have faded from use. Chess may be considered to be a child’s game or a highly developed intellectual discipline. The same is true of using the Tarot cards.

2) Have you ever played Taroc? It is a very interesting game like bridge using the Major Arcana as Trumps…in profane decks the court cards and majors may have two heads (to be read either up or down.) Some versions of the game have certain mystical aspects.

3) In studying the history of the Tarot you will see that the decks (except those belonging to aristocrats who had hand-painted decks made for them by great artists) used long ago were very primitive and made from wood cuts. We have come far from those crude representations…but the ideas expressed in the Tarot remain the same – they are still there in those early decks.

4) Where did the Tarot come from? We have only theory and conjecture:

a) Ancient Egyptians
b) They always have existed but have been revived from time to time
c) Gift of Divine Origin
d) etc.
It’s validity and usefulness are what count

a) it works when used
b) it contains Universal symbology and archetypes found elsewhere
c) it is numerically correct and corresponds with ancient systems of wisdom (especially to the Qabala)

10 = sephiroth (ace through 10 in the Minor Arcana)
22 = paths (22 Major Arcana cards)
4 = elements (four suits)(etc.)

The Tarot is MUCH MORE than mere pictures on pasteboard. The pictures on the Tarot cards are physical symbols for spiritual concepts. One definition I use for the Tarot is as follows:

A symbolic representation of Archetypal Forces and/or Beings which have always existed and have been identified and passed on to us by ancient initiates and which provide a focus for us to use in self-initiation, spiritual development, and the perception of hidden wisdom.

A few notes regarding the above……..

1) Jung says of Archetypes that they exist for us at birth…they emanate from the collective unconscious….they are NOT self-created or generated.

2) Aleister Crowley says in his book the Book of Thoth:

“Each card is, in a sense, a living being.” “It is for the student to build these living stones into his living Temple.”
“…the cards of the Tarot are living individuals…”

“How is he to blend their life with his? The ideal way is that of contemplation. But this involves initiation of such high degree that it is impossible to describe the method in this place. Nor is it attractive or suitable to most people. The practical everyday common-place way is divination.”

3) In Magick without Tears he says:

“…the Tarot itself as a whole is an universal Pentacle…Each card, especially this is true of the Trumps, is a Talisman; …It is evidently an Idea far too vast for any human mind to comprehend in its entirety. For it is ‘the Wisdom whereby He (God) created the worlds.'”

As regards these Lively Forces:

1. These Forces can communicate with us…or rather we can interpret their currents through our subconscious intuitive minds….this is one use of divination (and contemplation). This is the level, as Jung says, at which we are all connected.

2. These Forces can be directed by us Magickally if we are so trained. First we must master divination, then direction.

3. The Tarot is a Magickal Weapon in the hands of a trained initiate the mere placement of one card between two others can alter the forces involved and affect physical (and ethereal) reality.

4. The Tarot is a philosophy as well, with an Ancient Message about the Soul’s journey.

5. Yes, the Tarot is useful to study and contemplate….the colors and symbols are specifically designed and arranged to stimulate things within us (forces, archetypes, subconscious).

6. The Major Arcana are especially sacred to us because they represent the Paths, Steps, Forces which are necessary for us to rejoin the Godhead and attain enlightenment.

We are fortunate that modern printing is so good and that the Tarot decks and books which we have today are easily available to us. This was not always the case for our brothers and sisters in times past. Today one can afford to smile and say: “I only need to contemplate the cards to understand them.” But there is more to the use of the cards in Divination than many have been taught; for it is a mysterious process.

Just as one must study and practice upon a musical instrument to become a virtuoso, so too the Tarot takes many years of study and practice to use
correctly. One must be well developed spiritually, emotionally, and intuitively, or (as in music) naturally gifted to make full and accurate use of the cards in divination. In the hands of a gifted Diviner or Initiate the Tarot is a formidable weapon. It can even talk and spell out sentences! Hence the Hebrew letters correspondence to the Major Arcana. However, since we do not all learn in the same ways….the Tarot may not be the DIVINATORY METHOD for everyone…although everyone can learn from it and should study it.

Other methods which may suit:

a) Astrology
b) Numerology
c) I Ching
d) Pendulum
e) Runes
f) etc.

As humankind evolves spiritually (and in other ways) so too the Tarot evolves. Take for example the reconstruction of The Chariot (Arcanum VII) and The Devil(Arcanum XV) cards by Levi. He gave them a new presentation based upon his advanced knowledge at the time. Also, note how The Lovers (Arcanum VI) has changed from earlier decks. It still has the same basic meaning, but the symbols have changed. No longer are there two women…one good one bad…with the man in between…now it is two people with an Angel above them. New Tarot decks continue to be made as our knowledge and under-standing evolves.

A note on The Book of Thoth, Aleister Crowley’s Tarot deck, is as seen by him from the Astral Plane. This is why it is so different from many decks; why it is so striking; and, why the energy felt has such strong effects upon many people.

Some cards come and go….there are more cards on the astral plane than we have on the physical….between the cards, above and below the cards are others…as with the Quaballa.

When working with the Tarot if one is in a Magickal State (Asana, etc.) and reads the cards it is a Magickal or Divine (hence the term divination) operation. I take the forces into myself when using the cards thus they affect me and I them.

Because of this knowledge, I respect the Tarot as a Living Thing/Force and I do not bother it with profane questions. I treat it as a Magickal Weapon and thus with care and respect. Fortune telling, while not wrong, is the profane use of the cards.

Contemplation of the cards is useful; without Divination, however, one could not experience the forces within them in the same way. Also, there are hidden uses for the Tarot. The Tarot is indeed a Teacher. It is also a door, a gateway, an entryway into other realms which is partly how it was used in Egyptian

Initiation Rites. We may use it in some of the ways listed below:

1) Scrying/meditation
2) Ritual (invocation and evocation)
3) Works/spells
4) Talisman use/focus
5) Divination

Some of the goals of initiates (after perfecting divination and the Tarot’s philosophy) are
1) to read with a blank deck and to use a spread with no set meanings, and
2) to develop one’s own Astral Deck.

Magick (in Theory and Practice), Crowley’s famous book, calls Divination an important branch of Magick, and defines it thusly:

1. “We postulate the existence of intelligence’s, either within or without the diviner, of which he is not immediately conscious. (It does not matter to the theory whether the communicating spirit so-called is an objective entity or a concealed portion of the diviner’s mind.) We assume that such intelligence’s are able to reply correctly – within limits- to the questions asked.”

2. “We postulate that it is possible to construct a compendium of hieroglyphs sufficiently elastic in meaning to include every possible idea, and that one or more of these may always be taken to represent any idea. We assume that any of these hieroglyphs will be understood by the intelligence’s with whom we wish to communicate in the same sense as it is by ourselves. We have therefore a sort of language….”

3. “We postulate that the intelligence’s whom we wish to consult are willing, or may be compelled, to answer us truthfully.” He goes on to discuss divination as shown in some of the quotes below:

“In a system of divination each symbol stands for a definite idea.”

“As regards the Holy Quaballa, based as it is on pure number, (it) evidently possesses an infinite number of symbols. Its scope is conterminous with existence itself; and it lacks nothing in precision, purity, or indeed any other perfection. But it cannot be taught, each man must select for himself the materials for the main structure of his system.”

“It is always essential for the diviner to obtain absolute magical control over the intelligence’s of the system which he adopts.”

“Experience is the only teacher. One acquires what one may almost call a new sense. One feels in one’s self whether one is right or not. The diviner must develop this sense.”

“In order to divine without error, one ought to be a Master of the Temple. The faintest breath of personal preference will deflect the needle from the pole of truth in the answer.”

“One must prepare oneself by general purification and consecration devised with the object of detaching oneself from one’s personality and increasing the sensitiveness of one’s faculties.”

“The muscles with which he manipulates the apparatus of divination must be entirely independent of any volition of his. He must lend them for the moment to the intelligence whom he is consulting.”

(Note: one of the first steps in divination is the invoking of the Angel HRU)

“He must have succeeded in destroying the tendency of the ego to interfere with the object of thought. He must be able to conceive of a thing out of all relation with anything else.”

“He should allow the question entire freedom to make for itself its own proper links with the intelligence directing the answer.”

“He must sink his personality in that of the intelligence hearing the question propounded by a stranger to whom he is indifferent, but whom it is his business to serve faithfully.”

“He should exhaust the intellectual sources of information at his disposal, and form from them his judgment. But having done this, he should detach his mind from what it has just formulated, and proceed to concentrate it on the figure as a whole, almost as if it were the object of his meditation.”

“The concluding operation is therefore to obtain a judgment of the figure, independent of all intellectual or moral restraint. One must endeavor to apprehend it as a thing absolute in itself.”

“Divination is in one sense an art entirely separate from that of Magick; yet it interpenetrates Magick at every point. The fundamental laws of both are identical. The right use of divination has already been explained: but it must be added that proficiency therein, tremendous as is its importance in furnishing the Magician with the information necessary to his strategic and tactical plans, in no wise enables him to accomplish the impossible. It is not within the scope of divination to predict the future with the certainty of an astronomer in calculating the return of a comet. There is always much virtue in divination.”

“One must not assume that the oracle is omniscient.”

“The Magician ought therefore to make himself master of several methods of divination; using one or the other as the purpose of the moment dictates. He should make a point of organizing a staff of such spirits to suit various occasions. These should be ‘familiar’ spirits, in the strict sense; members of his family.”

“Divination of any kind is improper in matters directly concerning the Great Work itself. In the Knowledge and Conversation of his Holy Guardian Angel, the adept is possessed of all he can possibly need. To consult any other is to insult one’s Angel.”

“Although the adept is in daily communication with his Angel, he ought to be careful to consult Him only on questions proper to the dignity of the relation. One should not consult one’s Angel on too many details, or indeed on any matters which come within the office of one’s familiar spirits. One does not go to the King about petty personal trifles. The romance and rapture of the ineffable union which constitutes Adeptship must not be profaned by the introduction of commonplace cares.”

Thus we may use Divination for those worthy questions which we need answered but cannot find out in any other way…either through our own research or by the contacting of one’s Guardian Angel. If we can attain the necessary magickal states discussed above and if we complete the necessary study and work which then suggests, we can become masters of Tarot Divination.

Divination

DIVINATION

This seems like a fairly good time of year to be talking about divination. What is it, why do we do it, and what’s in it for us? Lots of people think it’s a way of avoiding responsibility – if the future is preordained, we might as well go back to bed.

Of course, that’s not it at all. Divination is the use of any one of several methods to obtain information which is not directly accessible to the conscious mind of the person asking the question. Whether you use cards, crystals, a pendulum, ink, lead, dice, the flight of birds or anything else, what you are really doing is opening your end of a channel to higher wisdom. I consider the “actual” source of that wisdom irrelevant and immaterial; it could be one’s own subconscious, the collective unconscious, the Gods’ will, telepathic insight, or a big computer buried in the Balkans. It’s still additional information which is not as tainted by ego and intellect’s limitations as most.

So what do we do with it? The same things we do with any other information; add it to what we already know and develop a synthesis that can help us do our decision-making. The easiest way to analyze the process is with a concrete (well, maybe jello) example:

A young man has been between relationships for some time. He wants very much to link up with the great love of his life, but is not aware of anyone on the horizon. He is putting himself in a position to meet new people, presenting himself as attractively as he can, and generally taking care of business, but no results. He has to decide whether to take a work-related course at night or not. It will take a lot of time and there are not likely to be any women attending. His progressed horoscope is neutral. He gets his cards read. They say:

1. Nothing at all about love, but a lot about skilled craftsmanship and
satisfaction through work. He decides to relax and wait for a better time, takes the course, and is rewarded with a modest promotion which enhances his satisfaction with his job.

2. A lot about increasing social activities, leading to the start of a new romance, leading to great happiness and satisfaction after some difficulties are resolved. He does not take the course, and meets a really nice interesting lady at a party given by a friend (which he couldn’t have attended had he taken the course).

3. That he is overlooking sources of emotional gratification in his current situation. Given the information, he starts looking around and discovers that one of his quieter friends is a really thoughtful and insightful person who helps him learn to know himself better, and that a young cousin needs a mentor and this relationship gives him a lot of pleasure and fulfillment. He begins to feel much more ready for a good relationship, and much less impatient to have one start.

These examples illustrate the point made above; divination provides you with choices, and you take the consequences, no matter what the oracles say. Treat them with respect, not adoration or blind compliance, and may they always show you the truth.

Ode to the Goddess
Stars shine bright in the blackened sky,
And cold winds blow and sting my eyes,
But the moon is bright and beckons me,
To praise the Goddess that I see,
And as I do so a warming comes,
To block the cold that chills my bones,
So I give thanks to this heavenly soul,
And my world is touched by her tender glow.

Ancient cultures often modified natural rock formations or built stone monuments to mark the motions of the sun and moon, charting the seasons, creating calendars and monitoring eclipses. Many believed the sun revolved around the Earth, with ancient Greek scholar Ptolemy formalizing this “geocentric” model in 150 B.C. Then, in 1543, Nicolaus Copernicus described a heliocentric, sun-centered model of the solar system, and in 1610, Galileo Galilei’s discovery of Jupiter’s moons revealed that not all heavenly bodies circled the Earth.

Today is Sunday, December 2

Traditionally, Sunday is the first day of the week. It is also known as the Lord’s Day from it original association with the Lord, that is, the Sun God, personified as Helios, Apollo, Ogmios, Mithras, and St. Elia. But in the Northern Tradition, the sun is seen as feminine, personified as the goddess known as Phoebe in East Anglia and Saule in eastern Europe. The sun rules the conscious element of the human being, the ego, the real self, and Sunday is the day on which this conscious power is at its most effective.

On Sunday, December 2, We Celebrate…..

Pan-American Health Day (United States)
NINA

Themes: Health; Cooperation; Dreams; Magic; Mediation

Symbols: Lions; Fish; Serpent (her sacred animals)

About Nina: A very ancient mother goddess figure in Mesopotamia, Nina has many powers, including healing, herb magic, mediation, dream interpretation, and helping civilization along when needed. Today we will be focusing on her healthful attributes and knowledge of herbs to improve well-being for the winter months.

To Do Today: Pan-American Health Day focuses on worldwide cooperation in the public health field. On the home front, do everything possible to make your home and body healthy and strong. Beginning in your living space, wash the floors using sage water, and burn a sage smudge stick. This herb decreases germ infestation and is magically aligned with Nina’s energy. As you go through your home, carry a small bell and add this incantation:

Nina, come and make us well;
banish sickness with the ringing of this bell.

Ring the bell in each room at the end of the incantation. In many religious traditions, bells are considered to scare away the evil influences that cause sickness. To overcome a troublesome malady, put a picture of one of Nina’s sacred animals under your pillow to invoke a healing dream. This tradition is very old and sometimes results in healthful energy being conveyed through your dream, or in a dream that shows you what to do for a cure

Sunday’s Witchery

Those ambitious, successful spells and charms will be heightened by working on the day of the week that has the planetary influence of the sun. So light those sunny candles, wear some luminous colors, and break out the gold jewelry! Bake up some cinnamon rolls or low-fat cinnamon muffins for an enchanting family breakfast. Take an orange with you to eat at lunch today. Try using a little magickal aromatherapy and burn some cinnamon-scented incense to encourage success and wealth today. Make the talisman to keep your solar magick with you. Sprinkle some dried marigold petals around your house-or across the threshold-to pull triumph and protection toward you and your family.

Get outside and tip up your face to the sun. Take a walk outside, and soak up some sunshine! Acknowledge the power of Sunna or Helios as they blaze across the sky and bring courage and motivation into your life. Sit outside at sunrise on a Sunday morning and bask in its warm, rosy-golden glow Acknowledge Brigid as the inner, creative spark of imagination and inspiration. She can help these gifts burn brightly within your own soul. Use your imagination and create your own brand of witchery and magick. Here comes the sun, and it’s your turn to shine!

Sunday is Ruled by the Sun

Sunday corresponds to the sun, our closest star. This day is full of wonder and all sorts of magical potential for success, wealth, and fame. Sundays are for personal achievements of any kind such as working towards a promotion at your job, seeking fame and wealth, or being acknowledged for a job well done. All of these goals fall under the golden influence of the sun. Some suggestions for Sunday enchantments would include:

Sitting outside at sunrise and calling on the goddess Brigid for illumination and inspiration

Wearing gold jewelry or clothing that is gold or sunshine yellow to pull some color magic into your life

Arranging a few sunflowers in a vase and empowering these “flowers of the sun” for fame and ambition

Gathering up the common marigold flower and scattering it’s petals about to encourage prosperity

Baking up a batch of cinnamon rolls for the family and enchanting them for health and success

Snacking on a solar fruit, the orange, and enjoying the magical boost it brings to your life

The Energy of the Sun

The planetary energy of the Sun is stimulating and warm. It encourages growth and expansion as well as general good feelings all around. It may be used for magick related to the growth of anything; career, family, public influence, wealth, the garden, friendships, love, general abundance, employment opportunities, business. Because the Sun shines down on the whole world, and thus sees everything that happens, the Sun’s planetary energy is occasionally used to find objects as well as protecting us from deception or being “kept in the dark”. Looking at the Sun’s universality in a different way, this energy can be used to find a common thread (we’re all warmed by the same Sun) to encourage new friendships and partnerships and reconciliation where existing ones are threatened.

Many things that correspond to the planetary energy of the Sun also correspond to the elemental energy of Fire.

Healing

The sun is associated with the heart, circulatory system, the spinal cord and the thymus gland.

Solar Minerals

Metal Gold

Crystals/Stones

Yellow, red and particularly bright, shiny crystals and stones tend to correspond to the energy of the Sun. diamond, ruby, chrysolite, yellow topaz, citrine, red garnet, chrysoprase and amber- fossilized tree sap said to contain the energy of the Sun as metabolized by the tree. Corundum and yellow Tiger’s Eye show sparkling designs that remind one of the sun and of course, there is sunstone.

Crystals and metals that correspond to the planetary energy of the Sun can be worn, carried or placed on the body to encourage healing or to draw planetary energies ruled by the sun, such as abundance to the individual. They may also be used to create a gem elixir and ingested, assuming they do not contain toxic materials. Crystals can be placed in a location to draw the desired energies to your home, place of business or vehicle as desired, placed on the altar, held, or gazed upon to enhance energies being raised during spellwork or other focusing and manifesting exercises.

Solar Plants and herbs

Plants that resemble the sun in shape or color, that open during the day and close at night, that follow the sun’s movements during the day, and those plants that are traditionally associated with the winter solstice as well as those that provide winter nourishment when fresh plants are unavailable, such as grains and nuts. Physically, edible Sun plants tend to encourage a feeling of warm satisfaction and medicinal plants affect the heart. sunflower, calendula, marigold, daylily, orange, citron, saffron, pine, mistletoe, rosemary, buttercup, heliotrope, bay laurel, daisy, walnut, acorn, maize, wheat, hops, cloves, cinnamon

Herbs can be incorporated into magick by placing them on the altar in the form of fresh flowers or dried potpourri or incorporated into incense to enhance energies raised during spellwork and ritual of a solar nature. They can also be carried or worn in a pouch or placed in an area to attract these energies. An herbal floor wash will infuse an area with the desired energies, or this may be accomplished via fumigation. Edible plants can be consumed as part of a meal or as part of an elixir or other herbal preparation. Those herbs that are skin-safe can be added to massage oils or fragrance sprays and ritual baths. Whole herbs or essential oils may be used.

*Incense* cinnamon, clove, pine, citrus, Benzoin, Pine, Frankincense, Labdanum, Olibanum

Sun fragrances are generous and, to me, home sweet home types of smells, with the exception of a few, which have “special occasion” feels to me. The sorts of smells that fill a temple, or the house on a day when lots of company is coming.

Days and Holidays

The Winter Solstice is the day most strongly associated with Solar Energy, though it peaks at the Summer Solstice, it declines thereafter.

Sunday is the Sun’s day.

Zodiac Leo is ruled by the sun.

Other Solar Correspondences

Animals Lion, Sparrowhawk, Griffin, hawk

While animal parts are used for magick in many traditions, they can be difficult or impossible to obtain and some animals are endangered, though you may find using feathers and fur of local animals to be feasible, using important bits of animals that aren’t already raised and slaughtered for food isn’t within the reach or moral compass of most modern witches. Using live animals subjects animals to discomfort and fear and is also not recommended. However, images of animals have a long history of use in magic and images of animals are quite easy to obtain as 2D pictures and 3D sculptures. If you are artistic, the very act of creating these images can help you more closely attune to their energy.

Colors

Orange, amber, gold, yellow, red

Many magic-users bring color into their working through their choice of colored candles, altar cloth and other items placed on the altar. If you wish to bring solar energy into your daily life, you may choose corresponding colors for your clothing or even chose paint, curtains and carpet colors to draw solar energy into your space.

Magick Prosperity, wealth, wealth, growth, confidence, clarity, commonality, abundance, truth, harmony, partnerships.

Sunday and the Perfect Corresponding Spell

Sunday

Finally, it’s Sunday, the official day of rest. Not only do Christians acknowledge this day but I’m sure many pagans appreciate this day, as well. Everyone needs rest and a lot of people need a good day to worship their creator (whomever or whatever that may be), however they deem fit to do so. With the Sun being the central theme of many ancient rituals, Sunday just seems to fit, in name and theory.

Sunday Pagan Worship

What you will need:
Your voice
Your body
1 bell (optional)

Find a quiet, private area, without distraction. Sit down in a comfortable position. Take a few, slow, deep breaths. Allow your body to become very relaxed. When you have done this, if you brought a bell, ring it seven times. Allow the last ring to resonate throughout your body. If you have something you want to say, to God or The Goddess, now would be a good time to do this. When you are finished, say this prayer or chant:

“I know there is a higher
being than me.
I am not alone.
You are with me,
Day and night.
You’ve rode the lows
And watched the heights.
If angels are real,
I’m sure to have a guardian.
I am so thankful
And so grateful for your hand.
You’ve blessed me.
You’ve fed me
You’ve quenched my thirst
And even dressed me.
A ‘man,
A ‘man,
And Blessed Be.”

When you are finished, ring the bell seven more times, to end the ceremony

TEA

Some of the best magick is also the simplest. Take tea, for instance. The Japanese make a ritual of preparing the perfect pot of green tea because they understand the power of mixing herbs and ceremony. And while the Japanese might design their ritual to achieve a calm oasis in a hectic day, Witches can combine herbs with magickal lore and focused intent to create teas that are a powerful magick in their own right.

Obviously, not all herbs are equally suited to making a magickal tea. I wouldn’t advise, for instance, a nice steaming cup of deadly nightshade tea, charming though that may sound. (And no, you can’t serve it to your mother-in-law either; remember, harm none.)

But there are plenty of herbs you may think of as traditional herbal teas that also have magickal properties you can take advantage of by adding a little ritual to your daily tea ceremony.

So how do you take plain old herbal tea and make it magickal? Simple, really. As with other magickal uses of herbs, if at all possible use the fresh plant. If you must use dried, try to get it from a good source.

Then heat your water and fix your magickal goal firmly in your mind. You may want to mix more than one herb (bergamot and ginger for prosperity, for instance) to increase the power of your magick or recite a spell to give it extra oomph. If possible, use a pretty teapot or mug. Place your herbs in a tea ball or loose in your container, and slowly pour the water over them. As the herbs steep, concentrate on your goal and envision the steam from the water carrying your intentions up to the gods.

Finally, drink your tea slowly and thoughtfully while focusing all your intent on whatever it is you hope to achieve.

(And don’t forget about that other magickal use of tea: the reading of tea leaves for divination. tion. I see great things in your future … )

Ten Terrific Teas

Here are ten of the herbs that I recommend for use in magickal teas. They are all easy to find and taste good, too! (Of course, my favorite is catnip. What’s yours?)

Bergamot-Use for prosperity, peace, and restful sleep. Hint: bergamot is what flavors Earl Grey tea.

Catnip-Not just for Fluffy, catnip can be used for love, luck, and peace. It is also used medicinally to help with sleep, but you will probably have to fight your familiar for it, which will undoubtedly wake you right back up again.

Chamomile-Use for prosperity, meditation, peace, and sleep. Also good for settling an upset tummy-just ask Peter Rabbit…

Dandelion-Use to aid in divination and calling spirits. And no, dandelion wine is not the same as dandelion tea … although if you drank enough of it you would probably see all sorts of spirits.

Elderberry-Use for prosperity and protection, especially against negative forces. It also is great when you are fighting a cold, a negative force if I ever saw one.

Ginger-Use for prosperity, power, success, love, energy, courage, and sex magick. The Chinese consider ginger to be a “heating” herb, as opposed to a “cooling” one, and you can see how this would translate into all its magickal uses. Ginger is also used medicinally for digestive upset and to treat colds.

Lemon-Use for purification, to help boost energy, and in healing. You can use dried lemon peel or just squeeze the juice from a fresh lemon into hot water. It has lots of vitamin C, which helps with healing, and is often added to cleaning solutions because of its ability to purify and cleanse.

Lemon balm-Use for purification, prosperity, and peace. Decorative and easy to grow-as the name balm, which means “soothing,” would indicate-this plant is used medicinally to calm and ease sleep. Lemon balm is a native Mediterranean herb dedicated to the goddess Diana.

Peppermint-Use for love, lust, energy, and purification and as a mental stimulant.

Rose-Use for love, beauty, psychic power, protection, peace, and sex. Rose tea is usually made from rosehips, which are the fruit of the rose bush (and high in vitamin Q. You can also use the petals.

These are just a small sampling of the many herbs that can be made into magickal teas; there are literally hundreds more that can be used (although not all of them will taste as good as those listed above-sage tea, for instance, tastes just awful). Keep in mind that not all herbs are safe to take internally, and that even those that are might cause an allergic reaction if you are the sensitive type. If you’re not certain of an herb’s safety, do your research first, drink second. Also, use caution if you are collecting herbs in the wild-some perfectly safe herbs look an awful lot like their poisonous cousins.

Spirit Message of the Day – Remember Your Happily Ever After

Once Upon a Time…

“we took a journey that led us through a forest of self-discovery. It was here where we encountered the wolves, monsters, fairies, and all those things that helped to define who we are and where we were going. And now we have finally arrived.”

SYMBOLS AND MEANING
“We can see the castle on the horizon. It shines like a beacon and heralds the end of a long journey well traveled. Through the tangle of the roots and trees, the calmness of the reflecting waters welcomes the traveler to a more placid place, where light and dark integrate and synthesize into greater awareness. The castle represents the anima of knowledge. Access to these offerings of wisdom is the ultimum reward. There are all manner of spirits hidden within the elements, ready to assist us through our path to maturation. They represent collected wisdom and can only be discerned if our hearts and minds are open to receiving their messages.”

“The flying birds symbolize the spirit. They are launching themselves from the safety of their nests and into the multifaceted splendor of the golden castle. They represent transcendence and the ability to balance mind and spirit. The serene water is the unconscious fully mirroring consciousness, representing the balance between the physical body and our spiritual essence. The outside of the castle represents the physical place of conscious thoughts, while the interior supports the unconscious, collective unconscious, and spiritual matters.”

“The wild woods in the foreground contrast the softness of the clouds and are a reconciliation of opposites. The branches represent the earthly plane and physical reality of our being against infinite, ever-changing layers of the world beyond. Together they compose the wholeness of the universe.

By traveling through dark forests and encountering creatures and spirits, we have the opportunity to expand ourselves in ways we did not necessarily think possible. We have been provided lessons through innumerable situations that feed into our psyches and help us become more attentive to our conscious thought processes. Through it all we have learned to follow our intuition and to listen to a deeper part of ourselves that has finally brought us to happily ever after. We can only attain ‘wholeness’ once the shadow, omni present in our journeys, has been confronted and integrated into the psyche.

YOUR MESSAGE
“We have arrived at happily ever after. We have full integrated the many and often complicated elements of our being and have eyes wide open to the illuminative power of wholeness. We embrace the multivalent layers of our inner life and can now appreciate the treasures that lie within.”
Today’s message is from The Fairy Tale Tarot by Lisa Hunt.

REMEMBER YOUR BLISS
If for only a moment – imagine right now- this is your happily ever after. You have everything you’ve always wanted. How does it feel? Where are you? What are you doing? Whom are you with? What are you thinking? Sit quietly for a minute. Remember these thoughts and knowlingly carry this feeling with you tomorrow. Watch what you’ve just imagined come to life right before your eyes. Transcend. Align your will with your desire. Remember your bliss and find your happily ever after…again.

December 2018 Ascension Energies – The Power of Love

The accompanying video to this article can be found here.

November Review

November brought some deep change to relationships — a core aspect of duality, since the experience of separation is physically based.

It’s not the whole story, of course. Our evolution is into conscious interaction with the invisible connection that nurtures the experience of separation. This is how we relate (connect) with life.

November’s Venus retrograde helped us reshape, review and renew our conscious interactions. Hopefully yours was smooth. It offered the choice to evolve in the flow of more Love or not. Even a “not” stirs opportunity for new choice. I had plenty of “opportunities” in November. ;o)

Strengthening Your Structure

As 2018, the Year of Amplification, spirals to a close, December offers a powerful upgrade to your foundation of Love. It’s been quite an intense year energetically. That’s ultimately a good thing, but you may have felt the whirlwind of change from time to time.

Overall 2018 was about amplifying your Merkabah structure so that the Lightbody is spiraling/spinning at a higher frequency. This expands your conscious connection beyond the bandwidth of the physical senses. This is Ascension.

We have been diligently rewiring the heart/mind connection since 2013. 2018 brought this to another level energetically, as universal laws are starting to apply more directly into our lives. That is a natural progression of Ascension.

There was a lot of throat chakra and heart chakra readjustment throughout the year. They weren’t the only changes of course, just a lot of reworking of the interaction of the two, as the throat chakra transformed it’s flow. Time to speak up in Love.

For those with an upgraded energy system (yes, that’s you) these changes are mostly exciting. Your focus and capability of connection with the subtle realm—the stargate of Love—is coming online more and more. You are anchoring a profound subtle energy (Love) through your interaction with life.

Your bridge of Light nurtures new choice.

This is why Areon has been saying more than normal—get your energy into your life. Choose more. Love more.

Becoming grounded in your empowered wholeness is a journey because it requires readjustment to your experience of physicality. Change is always good, even if it’s not always easy. It’s been a powerful year.

Loving the December Energies

The energies of December, The Power of Love, feel somewhat introspective and yet flowing. It feels like an amplification of the separation of self and all outside of the self, but in a positive way—more detached compassion available.

Your work of expansion is to see the invisible connection and let your Love-flow discover new opportunities. The Lightbody amplification of 2018 is spiraling you into a new level of creativity and responsibility. These two energies are two sides of the same coin.

When you create, you change. You are “owning” more of yourself, your experience, your interaction with life. This is imperative at this time as the world shifts its balance into more Love or more control.

As you amplify your Love, you are shifting the information in the vast subtle field that builds this world. That when Love starts leading.

Your Love becomes the bridge of Light for others to also connect to new potential.

Love in the human experience is not just bliss yet. If you’re experiencing bliss, amplify it. If you’re experiencing heart break, fear or sorrow—let it flow into the transformation that it is meant to be. Your empowered compassion.

Minding Your Heart

Amplify the mind/heart connection that supports new perceptions. Your brilliant mind helps you discover the path of the heart in the physical realm. December amplifies this through your power of Love.

As we prepare to move into 2019, we are culminating this powerful year of deep change with a focus on the great connector—Love.

Over a decade ago, I had an out-of-body experience where I met the energy of Kryon (an energy channeled by Lee Carroll). Kryon said, “Your power is great, Jamye.”

I got a deep download with that single sentence. It has guided the way I experience life and sharing my passion for Ascension.

It’s not just a power that I was granted by Life that others don’t have.

It’s the power of Love.

It’s in everyone.

It will manifest in unique ways in each—one will create art, another loves science, another is a caretaker, etc.

The only thing that matters is how much we are using our Love. That’s where our real choice is.

Amplify Your Powerful Love

Sometimes in the face of adversity, it’s not easy to Love. Sometimes time and space provide the crucible of change needed to transform pain into new choice. Sometimes you surprise yourself with your capacity to Love more.

No matter how small the effort seems, it makes a huge quantum difference in this world. December seals this year with a kiss as we amplify the Power of Love. Peace on Earth. Goodwill to all. Even the meanies. They just forgot how to Love in the midst of pain.

December is preparing us to spiral to the next level. Areon is calling 2019 the year of…watch the video to find out. Oh no – I just became one of the meanies! ;o) Seriously, it’s in the December video—a little suspense is fun. I’m really excited about next year’s energies. Areon has  always said Life is fail-safed toward Love. 2019 is preparing us to live it!

Happy December. I hope your holidays are magnificent!

December’s Multi-Dimensional Energies

Aloha beautiful Star-Light BEing Family!

What a POWERFUL month it was…. and continues to BE as we roll right into December and mega-wattage Energies too! High high high frequencies …. singing, harmonizing, lifting, expanding and just completely dissolving all old anything…. poof! Gone. ♥

Unity Consciousness…. Multi-Dimensionality… Quantum Realities…. this natural and organic evolution of our beLOVEd Gaia and HUmaNITY, OUT OF the unconscious realms/frequency bandwidths of amnesia … to RETURN to much higher states of consciousness… is off the charts now.  Lifting and expanding out of/beyond the veils once held within/vibrationally by each.

These Ultra-High Divine Cosmic Photonic Plasma Crystalline Frequencies & Harmonics ♫♫♫ Streaming 24/7 … are accelerating DNA and template/reality re-writes more powerfully than ever before.

Today, off the charts again…. tuning and harmonizing so strongly… it’s like “wow”, when we “think” we couldn’t go any higher (not really, just words), we not only do, we go wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy higher and higher and higher again.

Remember that acclimating and full integration is key in mastering and maintaining Divine Quantum flow…..

All of this linear year of 2018, has been a pre-cursor, leading up to this December passageway and StarGates, focused on syncing up Individual and Collective 12D Templates with Gaia’s/Universally/Cosmically….. to move all into the next phases as we anchor much higher dimensional realities in/through us here.

These are such exciting opportunities for each now…. to awaken, transcend, ascend and embody, by embracing what’s always available through our wide open hearts, minds and LightBodies…. and UNITY CONSCIOUSNESS…. where LOVE is all that matters….. ♥

The December Energy Update is here, as well as other updates too. It’s such a JOY to do all of these things with you and to see sooooo many excited and fulfilling much higher purposes/roles through Unity LOVE too!  ♥

Keep honoring your physical LightBody and you. As you fully support it, it will support you. ♥

Magical Blessings and immense Love from Kauai,

♥ Lisa ♥

p.s. Every 11/11 Gateway kicks off my “Gatekeeper Sabbatical” where all of my focus shifts to our highest priorities over “doing for everyone”, which shifts how I share/write/support/provide. We always go through “role changes” with these too, and because our Gatekeeper Roles take precedence, it takes more for us to manage all and maintain, while anchoring, integrating and bringing forth that which is important for us all. This continues through the 1/11 (minimally) …  As always, we announce, share and support appropriately along the way. ♥

Three fortuitous sky alignments greet you in the early hours as the moon in Libra makes a supportive, 60-degree alliance with the sun in Sagittarius (12:32am) and then moves on to form its monthly rendezvous with problem-solver Pallas (2:49am). Meanwhile, Mars and Juno provide a boost for creating harmony in key relationships via an inspirational, 72-degree liaison (3:06am). However, a trio of celestial naysayers tries to ruffle everyone’s feathers as Mercury makes an off-kilter, 150-degree link to rebellion-prone Uranus (2:17am), the sun parallels underworld-chieftain Pluto (3:26pm) and then the solar orb squares off with the red planet Mars (4:35pm). Therefore, the ouch-factor is present throughout this 24-hour time-period and your job is to be a tower of strength for needy dear ones. Adding some extra mystery and secrecy to love ties is Venus re-entering Scorpio (9:03am) until January 7, 2019.

[Note to readers: All times are calculated as Pacific Standard Time. Be sure to adjust all times according to your own local time so the alignments noted above will be exact for your location.]

Your Cosmic Weather Forecast for December

Jane Lyle, Astrologer

From The Astrology Room

Welcome to December 2018. December’s astrology offers us plenty of imagination, practicality and emotion to unpack.

This is a month of planets in the fire, earth and water signs. December moves fast up until the Solstice on 21st December. Once the Sun is in Capricorn, things begin to slow down over the holidays, and a more serious mood emerges. The Solstice is the right time to find some tranquil moments, light a candle and just be still. Even if only for a little while…..

With no planets (except the Moon) travelling in air signs, those airy festive fairies of Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius are elusive this year. Passion, sensuousness, and humour will tend to win out over cool-headed communications and rational analyses this month, and for much of January, 2019.

For Aries, Leo and Sagittarius – the Fire Signs:

The Sun, Mercury and Jupiter are in sociable Sagittarius. Uranus is back for the final time in fiery, impulsive Aries.

*Mercury’s most useful gift arrives early, on 6th December, when the planet of travel, media, tricks and communication turns forward again.

All our travel plans still need extra care though – Mercury (briefly in Scorpio) is arguing with disruptive Uranus until Wednesday 12th December, and then squaring off to discombobulating Neptune just before Christmas Day itself. Surprises, or a sudden turn of events, could scramble our holiday plans.

*December’s big cosmic boost from messenger Mercury and jolly Jupiter will be right on the Winter Solstice, 21st December. This one looks to be quite something. It’s at 9 degrees Sagittarius, aligning with the Watcher of the West, fixed star Antares.

Antares is a very potent, important star. It’s also known as the Heart of the Scorpion. Antares denotes success, but some kind of journey to the underworld and back again is always involved. This could be through an intense experience, or a psychological trip into your personal subconscious. Some kind of underworld beckons. Antares is also closely associated with news about nuclear energy.

So, do watch out for the days around this December event – they’ll more than likely be brimming over with intense news, passion, and major announcements. If you have planets at around 9-11 degrees in your own natal chart, this could herald important personal news for you, too.

*Jupiter in Sagittarius is surely Father Christmas in some of his many guises. For, just like Jupiter, Secret Santa is a shape-shifter.

He’s a Siberian shaman, flying high on magic mushrooms, and attended by sprites and elves on the inner planes. He’s Odin, galloping aloft on his magical horse in the dark December skies. He’s a close friend of the Holly King of pagan tradition, and somewhere or other he’s kindly St. Nicholas and jolly Sir Christmas too. And like Jupiter in Sagittarius, which is mostly lucky and wondrous, Santa Claus has a devilishly dark side called Krampus. Yes, you better watch out! He knows when you’ve been good or bad……

Santa – and Jupiter – contribute much more than just a sense of fun to this holiday season. Jupiter is radiating goodwill and a sense of adventure from his home in Sagittarius until next December. When Jupiter activates your own natal horoscope it’s time to be more expansive and open. How and where will depend upon the planets and houses involved for you personally.

*Gemini, Libra and Aquarius can all benefit from these planets in fire too, so they aren’t totally missing out during the Yuletide season’s astrology. The astrological element of air is, in fact, mostly absent until 20th January, when the Sun enters Aquarius. Meantime, air signs can enjoy an energising, imaginative and fiery boost to their dreams and plans.

For Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces – the Water Signs:

*Venus returns to Scorpio again on Sunday 2nd December, retracing her September and October path and perhaps reawakening deep thoughts and feelings we had then.

Venus is in new Scorpio territory just before the Solstice.
Fresh thoughts on love, friendship, money and fashion begin to emerge – it could all get very spiritual and romantic for some of us around Friday 21st December. Venus meets Neptune then for some intensely misty enchantment. There may be tears before bedtime, but the festive season always has many intricate emotional layers – and I can’t be the only person who’s welled up when watching certain Christmas ads!

*Mars is in musical, intuitive Pisces all month.

Christmas ghost stories, heavenly choirs, and supernatural Yuletide beings are extra energised between Sunday 2nd – Saturday 8th December, when Mars meets Neptune in Pisces. These are also days to be extra vigilant around your cash, online scams, and smooth-talking would-be lovers or salesmen.  Fishy? Yes indeed.

*Neptune often represents a glamorous magician, or spiritual guru. This can be a misty, even delusional astrological influence, fond of mind-altering drugs, alcohol, and deception.

But Neptune has a kind-hearted side too. Astrological aspects involving Neptune this month can prompt us to give something back to our community, spend a little time helping others, or decide to donate to our local food bank or favourite charity.

For Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn – the Earth Signs:

*Serious Saturn and enigmatic Pluto are in earthy Capricorn now and on into 2019. They’re joined there by the Sun on 21st December.

This Sea Goat trio mean that business, finance, government and security are issues we can’t completely ignore during December. They’ll push their message home in January for sure, aided and abetted by a potent solar eclipse in Capricorn on 6th January. All this activity supports serious ambition, hard work, and practicality. It doesn’t wear a party hat though.

However, let’s give sober old Saturn, ruler of Capricorn, a holiday break too. December brings echoes of the Saturnalia, which was a wild party in the Ancient Roman world.

The Saturnalia celebrated the god Saturn, freeing him from his usual chains of responsibility. It brought days on end of bawdy fun, games, gift-giving and carnival. Capricorns can have a dour astrological reputation these days, yet deep inside each and every Sea Goat there are, most assuredly, some Saturnalian vibes in their cosmic DNA.

The Yule Goat is another festive pagan figure. Capricorn, the Yule Goat, is still alive and full of mischief in Scandinavia – as you can see in this photo from Charles Freger’s fantastic ‘Wilder Mann’ portfolio and book.

Friday, 21st December 2018:

The Winter Solstice

Winter Solstice 2018 brings us to the year’s final turning point, and the official start of winter. For thousands of years it’s always been a moment to pause, in the heart of darkness, and wait for the renewal of the Sun’s light.

This year, a heartfelt full Moon in Cancer rises on the following evening, Saturday (Saturn’s day) 22nd December.

So it’s a particularly powerful Solstice moment for all of us this year, rich with symbolism and fresh potential.

The Sun and Moon sit on the annual Solstice points – 0 degrees of Cancer (Moon) and 0 degrees of Capricorn (Sun). Each point is a seasonal portal, a pivot in the year – with the others falling at the Equinoxes in March and September. Each and every one of these is a turning point.

This December Solstice looks particularly energising though, with meaningful messages for all of us, plus an opportunity to release deep emotions at the full Moon in her own sign, Cancer.

There are tender, loving feelings and celestial music from Venus and Neptune.

There’s important news from Jupiter, Mercury and Antares in Sagittarius.

Saturn, ruler of the Solstice Sun, is beginning to make a helpful, productive aspect to Neptune – favouring ancient mystics and long-lasting artistic and charitable projects now, and in 2019.

And the mighty Sun, poised for rebirth, is channelling all manner of excitement and upheavals courtesy of a flowing link to electrifying Uranus in Aries.

If ever there was a year for a Solstice ritual of some kind, this is probably it.

‘Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening’ by Robert Frost

Whose woods these are I think I know.

His house is in the village though;

He will not see me stopping here

To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer

To stop without a farmhouse near

Between the woods and frozen lake

The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake

To ask if there is some mistake.

The only other sound’s the sweep

Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

But I have promises to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep,

And miles to go before I sleep.

And, finally, it’s Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the Astrology Room! Wishing you peace, love, and all good things in 2019……

Your Weekly Love Horoscopes for December 3

Sarah Bartlett, Astrologer

From The Astrology Room

Although Mercury’s retrograde movement may have held up our plans or given us a few sleepless nights, this contrary planet now turns stationary direct.

As it gradually gathers speed to move on again through Scorpio, it reminds us that the time we had to revise our desires or review our romantic needs, was much needed space in the crowded house of life.

ARIES

This week, single or attached, there’s a feeling of a new departure in a love relationship.  At last, you can make a commitment to real, passionate love. Try it, and see the magical results of that kind of self-awareness. When honesty replaces self-deceit, then the love you seek will come to you.

TAURUS

With Venus moving into your love angle, it’s time to experience each moment for what it is, rather than rush on to the next one. With Mercury’s changing influence, it would also be a shame to lose out on one person’s desire for you at the expense of that common complaint called, ‘fear of commitment.’

GEMINI

As the sun and Jupiter move on through your opposite sign, you realise that you don’t have to give up your independence to gain love. OK, there may be compromises to be made, but that’s the reality you’re faced with now. As much as you want the perfect romance, you know that for any human being to live up to that ideal is a pretty tall order. Including yourself.

CANCER

Mercury’s slow change of direction is making you think back to the past, both with moments of regret, and others with joy. Thoughts like, how it might have been if you hadn’t met so and so; how it would have been if you’d acted differently? Enjoy a bout of nostalgia and wishful thinking, but more importantly start reviving your romantic future.

LEO

We all think we know who we are, but who are we really? In truth, what are our fears, worries and vulnerabilities?  Believe in yourself and accept yourself for who you are. And then, if you’re satisfied with yourself, you have pleased the harshest judge of all and someone else will truly love you for who you are too.

VIRGO

You’re on a quest to finally make a commitment with the one you love. The planets are reminding you, that someone is to be applauded and embraced with open arms. If attached, there’s a chance to redeem the romantic part of yourself. Time to taste your freedom on the winds of change.

LIBRA

You’re feeling quite confused about whether it’s now or never to take the plunge.  Of course the crunch comes if you want someone to move out of your life, or move right into it. And that’s why, this week, even though Mercury is moving forward again, don’t make any decisions for a week or so. Then, with a little careful reflection and forethought you’ll know exactly what to say.

SCORPIO

Mercury’s change of direction in your sign is preparing you for romantic results. At last, you can begin to communicate with real mutual understanding and honesty. It seems things are how you want them to be. But commitment? The price you might have to pay is high, but then again, you do adore buying into something that could be worth more than the rarest diamond, don’t you?

SAGITTARIUS

With the sun and Jupiter in your own sign, it’s understandable you’re ready for unprecedented action and sorting out the wheat from the sheaf. At last, you’re ready to learn what it is you fear about love and what it is you can make out of it.  We often end up mastering the thing that we fear the most, and discover that it could be the answer to long-term happiness.

CAPRICORN

As a motivated Earth sign, you have a restless desire to either change your lifestyle or your love life. But do you want your partner or someone new to be part of this venture?  Heading for the hills may be an option that you can’t resist, so this week, be true to you, but don’t run from those who really love you.

AQUARIUS

Most Aquarians are often secretly needy – in the sense, they need to make it clear they may have their own sense of identity and ambitions, but they actually need a good friend or shoulder to cry on too.  This week, the gentler side of your personality will shine.  In fact, being sweetness and light will get you further along the pathway to love’s success than you imagine.

PISCES

Pisces aren’t exactly renowned for being pillars of society, in fact you’re the one sign of the zodiac who is more than likely to get led astray by a total stranger than anyone else.  This week, Mars and Neptune’s conjunction in your own sign, will lure you down the wild road to random encounters, and one such unexpected meeting will give you reason to be cheerful.

Venus moves to Scorpio to join Mercury – a day to speak from your heart

Aries MARCH 21-APRIL 19
As Venus moves to Scorpio, it’s a time that inspires you to set goals for next year, especially for your personal life. Spend the weekend learning more about some of the things that could help you progress. Don’t be afraid to try something new, it could result in you meeting interesting people and having remarkable experiences. Life’s full of opportunities that are yours for the taking.

Taurus APRIL 20-MAY 20
If you find yourself constantly the one dealing with another’s crises, even if they are not your concern, it can still be unsettling. Some people love to be in the center of a drama and thrive on it; you, on the other hand, do not. Perhaps it’s time to weigh the benefits of this kind of tumultuous association and decide to part company.

Gemini MAY 21-JUNE 20
There’s still a lot you have to do before year’s end. With Venus moving to your work area, life’s about to get hectic and you’ll need to organize your schedule to keep up with all the demands. To begin 2019 efficiently, tie up all the remaining loose ends this year. But don’t knock yourself out trying; focus on your highest priorities.

Cancer JUNE 21-JULY 22
There can be changes at work, and if so, then use the weekend to think through which of the people want the best for you and which don’t. You’ll instinctively know when someone stretches the truth. Don’t expend your energy on them; use it to figure out a way you can best start working toward the career you want in a few years’ time.

Leo JULY 23-AUG. 22
This weekend can highlight what’s most important, especially when it concerns money but, since it is changeable energy, be ready to suddenly revise your plans. You thrive when you learn new things; sadly, not everyone can offer you the intellectual challenge you seek. But when you find people who fulfill your needs, your life can flourish.

Virgo AUG. 23-SEPT. 22
Don’t get caught in the holiday shopping fever madness. You may not be able to control all financial matters, but it’s wise to avoid impulsive spending. The planetary energy in your family zone this weekend can set off a long overdue dialogue that can be very freeing when you get to the bottom of a situation.

Libra SEPT. 23-OCT. 22
When you meet someone new, try to figure out if that person appreciates you as the sincere honest person you are or sees only what you have to offer. Being astute, it shouldn’t take you long. Don’t spend this weekend worrying about work. With Venus and Uranus turning their light on your love zone, prepare to enjoy a romantic encounter.

Scorpio OCT. 23-NOV. 21
No matter how much money you currently have, it’s not an endless supply. During the holidays, you might find yourself maxing out your credit cards, which could be a big mistake. With Venus moving to your sign, this is a very important time for you financially and the best choice would most likely be to aim for moderation.

Sagittarius NOV. 22-DEC. 21
This weekend, try to de-stress from recent events. The connection between Venus and Uranus can cause relationships to become unsettled, and that’s on your mind, too. All things considered, you deserve to have some fun. But be ready to face new challenges as well.

Capricorn DEC. 22-JAN. 19
Nobody comes close to having your common sense; you resolve problems quickly and easily, gaining the respect from all involved. However, as several things influence your chart now, you could find your normal logic is replaced with an emotional viewpoint when it comes to both work and family.

Aquarius JAN. 20-FEB. 18
It’s alright to do something impetuous this weekend, after all it is the holiday season, and a perfect time to go out and network. Not every moment of your life needs to be planned, where’s the fun in that! Put your best self out there on the social zone and you can make contacts now to follow up in the new year.

Pisces FEB. 19-MARCH 20
There’s a chance for you to get a fresh start with relationships during this time. The energy also can make you more impulsive than usual, so try to keep your urge for spontaneity in check. Keep in mind that rash decisions can have long-lasting repercussions

Jennifer Angel, Astrologer

What will 2019 bring for you? Book a year ahead psychic astrology reading with Jennifer

Moon and Venus connection in Scorpio unveils your emotions.

Aries MARCH 21-APRIL 19
As the changeable Moon connects with Venus, somebody could help resolve a sensitive financial situation. Be open to discussing different options and a recent problem could be settled or, if not, at least you may feel differently about it. Often, things happen when the time is right.

Taurus APRIL 20-MAY 20
An awkward situation can be ignored for only so long; eventually, you’ll have to deal with it. And with the Moon and Venus connecting, the combined energy can open the door to have a sensitive discussion to set things right. Schedule a time and plan what to say.

Gemini MAY 21-JUNE 20
While others may be concentrating on the holidays, this week you might be making plans to move ahead at work. Keep your emotions in check; remember, business is business and, no matter how well you know someone, maintain a professional manner.

Cancer JUNE 21-JULY 22
Stand by for love. The Moon and Venus connect and can create sparks of love magic. Make time for love, and being in the right place doesn’t hurt, either. Romance and passion are very important in a relationship, but friendship keeps it together for the long haul.

Leo JULY 23-AUG. 22
Right now, your focus in on money and family affairs, or a situation at home. As the Moon and Venus connect, the energy will help you connect with the right people to get things set in place. You want to look after others, but be careful it is not at the cost of looking out for yourself.

Virgo AUG. 23-SEPT. 22
With so much to do this month you could feel overwhelmed. But nobody says everything has to be finished right away, or even at all. Sometimes, you take it upon yourself to try to be there for too many people. Take care of your own responsibilities first, and you’ll feel re-energized.

Libra SEPT. 23-OCT. 22
A financial opportunity could come along now, but you have to be ready and willing to accept it. Sometimes, a small shift in your outlook can make a big difference. If you want to change your life, you have to realize what you have to do differently.

Scorpio OCT. 23-NOV. 21
Avoid getting involved in other people’s drama. Maybe they only want to get things off their chest by venting, but you have a lot going on in your own life just now. The Moon and Venus interact in your sign, and you may have some sensitive issues of your own to deal with.

Sagittarius NOV. 22-DEC. 21
In a perfect world, everyone would be as generous and optimistic as you, but that’s not possible. There is no room for secrets or game-playing in your life, and if you tune into your intuition, you will learn who is on your side and who has a hidden agenda.

Capricorn DEC. 22-JAN. 19
Your attention is centered on both social activities and business, and as usual, the better organized you can become, the more you can accomplish. But with all the planned action, don’t neglect your well-being. Stick to your fitness regime; your body will thank you.

Aquarius JAN. 20-FEB. 18
If things are not going the way you planned, don’t stress, the week has only just begun, and a lot more can happen. Someone, who recognizes your talents at work, can step forward and be your promoter. A detour in your plans could actually work out to be better. Don’t get in your own way!

Pisces FEB. 19-MARCH 20
If you see an opportunity at work, don’t wait; step forward and show your attributes. This is not the time to be shy. When you know you’re right for the job, it’s up to you to let those in power see it, and the Moon Venus connection will help you make the right introductions.

Your Witches Rune for December 2 is Woman

Today’s Witches Rune

Woman

Meaning: The first meaning of this rune is quite obvious: it represents women. Any woman that is important in the question, whether you know her or not, will be represented by this rune. Mother, sister, aunt, grandma, a female boss, friend, lover or even enemy… all can be symbolized by the appearance of this rune.

In a more general sense, this rune is related to traditional female abilities and characteristics, such as giving birth, nurturing, comforting and healing. When this rune appears, you can count on the sympathy of others towards you or your situation. In its most negative aspects, the Woman rune can show over-protectiveness, a patronizing attitude or co-dependency. It often strives to maintain the status quo, refusing to change even if the situation is bad.

The Woman rune is connected to nurturing – nurturing a relationship, a person or a project. Like the Moon rune, it can be related to finding a safe place to rest and heal, but while the Moon implies a solitary retreat, the Woman often shows that you need to go back to the people you trust, the people you feel safe with.

Healing is another strong aspect of this symbol, as well as teaching. You can be both the patient/student or the healer/teacher when this rune appears. This rune is also connected to creativity, but in a way that is different from the Romance rune. While the latter is about the conception of a project – the initial stages of creation – the Woman is about the birth of this project. When your creation is brought out into the world, fully manifested.

In relationship readings, this rune isn’t bad, but rather weak. While it can indicate subtle ties between people, these are usually so, so subtle that the partners can easily drift away from each other. It can show that one of the partners sees the other as someone who needs to be protected and healed, rather than an equal. Usually, the romance is a bit stagnated when this rune appears, or very close to becoming a friendship.

Daily Planet Tracker for December 2: Mercury in Scorpio

December 1 – December 12, 2018

Mercury in Scorpio: Sharp, Inquisitive, Mysterious

Mercury plunges into the depths when it enters passionate and private Scorpio. Mercury is the planet that influences how we think and communicate, but while it moves through this watery sign, our thoughts mix with our feelings and inspire us to ask questions and get to the bottom of what’s happening in our lives…

Ideas, conversations, and people who are shallow or superficial have no power during Mercury in Scorpio. Instead, this is a time of depth and intimacy, and can be a very effective period to talk about difficult issues regarding relationships, money, and mortality.

When Mercury is in Scorpio

Scorpio thrives in the dark — the realm of secrets and lies, questions and answers, death and transformation. It is an extremely inquisitive sign that is never satisfied with what is simply lying on the surface. Scorpio knows that the real treasures are found when you dig a little deeper, so while mental Mercury moves through the sign of the Scorpion, we all start asking more questions and searching for hidden meanings … but we may not be happy with what we discover…

When Mercury travels through Scorpio, it’s like Mercury is shining a light on all the darkest parts of ourselves. We become more aware of our fears and desires, and the ways that others’ lives impact our own. We can bond in much more intimate ways because we’re able to discuss topics that are normally off-limits.

But Mercury in Scorpio brings out the skeptic in all of us. While it may feel like we’re searching for something wrong in every situation, it’s really about emphasizing our negative thinking to get positive results. By eliminating information and ideas that don’t serve our needs, we make room for those that will.

Our minds are also more suspicious when Mercury is in Scorpio. Because it’s a time that emphasizes secrecy and privacy, we’re quick to assume there are things going on that we don’t know about. But if we push too hard to try to get to the truth — which is very likely under Scorpio’s persistent influence — we risk creating long-term issues of intimacy and mistrust. That said, Mercury in Scorpio does have the potential to foster greater intimacy as well. Because we’re more willing to ask the really hard questions, we might finally get the answers we need to grow closer in the process.

Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio

When Mercury retrogrades through the sign of Scorpio, issues of honesty and intimacy arise. Secrets and lies we’ve been trying to hide are exposed, or we may experience yet another fallout from a previous deceit or betrayal.

A key quality of any Mercury Retrograde is that it offers us a second chance to correct errors, reconnect with people, and absorb information that we didn’t get the first time around. Doing this in dense, dark Scorpio, however, requires us to stay calm in what can feel like threatening situations. This is a time to learn that thoughts and reality are not the same thing. We can and should question facts and conclusions that come from the things we see and hear.

If you were born with Mercury in Scorpio

People born under the influence of Mercury in Scorpio can often be very intense individuals. You perceive and process the world in a very acute way, making it hard for you to ignore hanging questions and suspicions. You know that the information that is readily available to you is just the tip of the iceberg, and if you want the real answers, you’ve got to dig deeper…

You value your privacy above most things. You’re capable of opening up and sharing yourself in intense, passionate ways, but only when you’ve reached a level of real trust in a relationship or friendship. Because of this, you tend to have very deep and emotional connections with others, and may have a very difficult time letting people go.

You may also deal regularly with issues of trust. Believing that others don’t have ulterior motives or hidden agendas is hard for you, and you could create big problems in relationships by insisting there is something happening when there really isn’t. In the same light, you highly value your own privacy, and don’t appreciate people trying to pry you out of your comfort zone. The best thing you can do is extend this same consideration to the people you love, and realize that sometimes things can be taken at face value.

A Little Humor for Your Day

Dough nuts: It Really Does Happen!

–Turok’s Cabana

“Walk barefoot, listen to the wind, drink in the moon…. BE MAGICK”

Good Sunday Morning To All Our Brothers & Sisters of The Craft!

Father Yule

The Crown

He is the Oak King, mighty and strong,
His reign will last all summer long,
At the midsummer solstice he’ll fight for the
crown,
With the Holly King, dressed in his fine
autumn gown.
The Green Man will watch and then tell the
trees, The Holly King’s coming, begin to drop
leaves,
To make a grand carpet for him to walk on,
For the Oak King is tired, his powers have
gone.

The Holly King now, wears the grand crown
with pride,
The plants and the animals hurry to hide,
Away from the cold and harsh winter wind,
They know the Holly King soon will bring.

The Holly King’s powers in strength they
will grow,
He’ll command strong winds to bring ice
and snow,
At the midwinter solstice his powers will peak,
But the animals and the plants will stay fast
asleep.

Refreshed and reborn the Oak King will
wake,
The Holly King’s crown soon he will take,
The birds will return and joyously sing,
The plants and the animals will welcome
the spring.

Happy again the Green Man will be,
His kingdom released from the cold misery,
Until midsummer solstice again comes
around,
And the Holly King once more, will take
back his crown.
