Stop Nightmares Spell

Stop Nightmares Spell

Items You Will Need:

  • scarf (white or cream colors work best)
  • 4 cloves
  • pinch of basil
  • pinch of ground sage
  • lavender or vanilla oil (whatever you find more soothing)
  • black marker
  • white ribbon

The Spell

Lay the scarf out. You will be putting spices into it.  Place the spices (ground sage, 4 cloves, basil) into the scarf and add 2 drops of oil.  Gather the scarf at the top (like a moneybag) and tie it with the ribbon.  On the outside of the scarf draw the nightmare that plagues you (e.g. spiders, falling, whatever).  Place the scarf under your pillow and sleep with it there.

The Witches Spell for July 25th – A Spell to Turn Up the Heat

Book & Candle Comments

A Spell to Turn Up the Heat

Has the spark gone out of your relationship This spell uses spices to add spice to your love life, along with fire to heat up things between you and your partner.

Tools:

A fireplace, balefire pit, barbecue grill, hibachi, or other place where you can light a fire safely Matches or a lighter

A piece of paper A pen that writes red ink

Cayenne pepper

Mustard seeds

Ginger

Jasmine

Rosemary

Bay leaves

When: During the waxing moon, preferably on a Tuesday

Safely build a small fire. On the paper, write what you find enticing about your partner and what you desire from him or her. Be as descriptive and explicit as you like— no one but you will read what you’ve written. When you’ve finished, draw the runes Gabon, which looks like an X, and Tiwaz, which looks like an arrow pointing up, around the edges of the paper. These two symbols represent love and passion, respectively.

Place the spices on the piece of paper and fold it to make a packet that contains them. Visualize you and your lover in a passionate embrace. As you hold this image in your mind, toss the packet of spices into the fire. As it burns, your intention is released into the universe.

Element: Water
Altar: Set with sea-colored cloths, figures of dolphins, the figure of a ship, a compass, and a great bowl of salt water.
Offerings: Sea salt. Face some emotion that seems overwhelming to you.

Invocation to Neptune

Great Bull from the Sea
Crashing against the rocks
Master of the waves and depths
Foaming horses champing wild
Break against the yielding shore
And you, Lord of bitter brine,
Sink not our ships as they make their way
From safe harbor to safe harbor.
Show us the depths of our own souls
As you know the depths of the ocean itself,
And give us safe passage there as well.
Save us from the whirlpool and the drowning tides,
Save us from the circling predators
That would drag us to the bottom.
Earth-shaker, loudest voice
In the world between heaven and underworld,
The voice that booms up from the depths
Of every water-borne soul.

Chant:
Earth-Shaker
Storm Maker
Lord of the Wave

(The compass is then passed from hand to hand, and each person in turn says, “Guide me in my navigations, Lord of the Unending Waters, and bring me safe home again.” The bowl of salt water is then passed hand to hand, and each splashes a bit onto their heads. The rest is poured out as a libation.)

Spell to Gain Energy

Spell To Gain Energy

You need:

bright red or orange candle
spicy incense
glass of clear pure cold water
bowl of sea salt

If is sunny out you may want to start the spell by going outside for a few minutes and breathing in some fresh air. Sit in front of the candle and say:

Give me energy to happily complete the task I have been given to do.
I will feel better for having done it. The completion of the task will be my reward.

Sprinkle the sea salt around the candle and say:

Give me strength, O sacred Earth.

Pass your hand near the candle and say:

Give me strength, O sacred Fire.

Pass your hand through the smoke of the incense and say:

Give me strength, O sacred Air.

Drink the water down and say:

Give me strength O sacred water.

Now immediately get up and go do your task.

Ward Off Evil

Ward Off Evil

To ward off evil spirits or energy:

In a small jar, place sage, sandalwood, galangal and brimstone herbs. Mix well and sprinkle sea salt on top. Cute a three inch piece of red string, and tie one knot into it, and place it in the jar. Next, place three pins or nails in the jar and close it shut. Light a black candle and say:

“Pins that price, herbs and string, to protect me now, my angels do sing!”

Hide the jar in a dark place to ward off evil.

Water Magick – Magickal Cleansing Bath

Magickal Cleansing Bath

  • 1 square piece of linen, about 2 x 2 inches
  • Piece of string
  • White sage
  • Rosemary
  • Sea salt

Tie equal portion of the ingredients into the square of linen. Whisper to the sachet your intent to cleanse yourself of all negative energies. Crush the ingredients with your hands. Place the sachet directly under the running water. As you soak in the bath, allow all of the negative things in your life to leave your spirit and flow into the water. When you emerge from the tub, be sure  to bless your new self. It is proper to ask the Goddess to recycle the energies in the water and use them for positive purposes.

Water Magick – The Importance of Sea Salt

The Importance of Sea Salt

In maritime lore, seawater was thought to cleanse a person thoroughly, absorbing any bad luck, due to the salt content of the water. Throwing salt into a fire for nine consecutive days was thought to break any chain of bad luck, while throwing salt at a person was sure to bring her grief.

WISHING POWDER

WISHING POWDER

* The Great Outdoors (This could be your back yard, a park, or forest — any
place where the wishing powder will land on the earth when you release it).
* Anything else you feel you need to personalize your wish.
You will need to craft the wishing powder ahead of time.
You can either do this at home in a Circle or, if you don’t mind taking your mortal
and pestle along with you, you can make it outside where you plan to use it.
(This isn’t too hard to do if you’re staying in your own backyard).
* 2 parts sage * 1 part sandalwood * 1 part Tonka beans
Grind, mix, and empower.
If you’re feeling adventurous, customize your wishing powder to the wish you’ll be making.
(Example: Crushed rose petals for bringing love into your life).
Find a spot to make our wishes from.
Take a handful of the wishing powder and begin concentrating on your wishes.
(Please do not put yourself in danger to make a wish.
A wish is just as powerful whether it’s made standing on a rock on the side of a steep
hill or standing in a field). Put your energy and wish into the powder you are holding.
When it feels like you can no longer hold the energy, let it fly.
As the powder settles to the ground, visualize your wishes joining with the Earth,
gaining power and strength.
As always, remember the Rule of Three when making your wish.
After putting the energy out there, it’s impossible to call it back.
Remember the old saying, “Be careful what you wish for, you may get it.”
If you are worried about where to get Tonka Beans (as needed for the above wishing spell).
You can do an easy search for them through any search engine to find them.
Vanilla Beans/pods are a Substitute

Cleansing Stones Using Salt

In a small dish of salt, bury the stone you wish to cleanse and leave it for at least twenty-four hours. Depending on how deeply the stone requires cleansing or purification you might wish to leave it buried in the salt for up to a week. Be careful what kind of stone you’re burying: stones with a high iron content react poorly to salt. If the stone is set in metal, do not use this method, as the salt will corrode the metal setting.

If all you have on hand is table salt, it will do. However, if you’re serious about spellcraft, it’s a good idea to invest in sea salt, a more natural form of salt. The less refined the salt is, the more natural energy it contains. Sea salt is only a bit more expensive than table salt, and easily found in most supermarkets now, as well as drugstores or health food stores. Kosher salt is good, too. Never use rock salt designed for outdoor use in winter, as it is toxic.
