The Green Man is an archetype often represented at Beltane. He is the spirit of the forest, the lusty fertility god of the woodlands. He is Puck, Jack in the Green, Robin of the Woods. For your Beltane celebrations, why not put together a cake honoring him? This spice cake is easy to bake, and uses a delicious cream cheese frosting and rolled fondant to create the image of the Green Man himself. This recipe makes either one 9 x 13″ sheet cake, or 2 8-inch rounds.
Preheat oven to 350, and lightly grease and flour your cake pan. Mix all dry ingredients together in a large bowl and blend well. In another bowl, combine milk, eggs, vanilla and rum extracts together.
Add the softened butter to the flour mixture, and beat until it forms a clumpy sort of dough. Gradually add the liquid mixture in, blending it a little at a time until all the milk mixture has been combined with the flour mixture. Beat until completely smooth, and then add the brown sugar. Mix for another thirty seconds or so. Scoop batter into the pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before removing from pan. Once you have it out of the pan, you can begin frosting the cake.
To make the cream cheese frosting, combine the cream cheese and the butter in a bowl, mixing well. Add the vanilla extract. Finally, stir in the confectioner’s sugar and blend it in. Spread this evenly over the cake, and allow it to sit for an hour or so to firm up.
To make the Green Man himself, you’ll need green fondant. If you’ve never worked with fondant before, it can be a little tricky, but with some practice you’ll be able to use it easily. Roll out the fondant and knead it into a ball. Add the green food coloring in very small amounts and blend it in, until you’ve got the shade of green you want.
Roll the fondant out until it’s about 1/8″ thick. Use the leaf-shaped cookie cutters to cut out different sized leaves. Score lines on them, to look live leafy veins. Place them on top of the frosted cake and press in place, layering them to form a Green Man. Roll two small pieces into balls, flatten them down, and put them in to create eyeballs in amongst the leaves. Reminder – fondant tends to dry quickly once it’s rolled out, so only cut off small pieces. The cake in the photo was made using a block of fondant about the size of a package of cream cheese.
Tip: if you’re in a hurry, or you’re not much of a baker, you can use any boxed spice cake mix.
Faery Sugar
3 cups fine white sugar
1 tablespoon Vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon red food coloring
Glass container
Lay sugar on wax paper & sprinkle on Vanilla:
stir into the sugar till all mixed in.
Next sprinkle on the red food coloring and incorporate in till sugar turns ‘faery pink.’
Save in glass container, you have labed “Faery Sugar.”
Now use this special treat in the “Spell to see the Fae”
and also for Faery cookies, cakes and offerings to the Fae.
You can eat some yourself, but remember the recipe is a secret.

Grind like amounts of the first five ingredients in your mortar and grind to a fine powder. Add the vanilla extract and musk oil. Once the liquid is fully absorbed, grind a little more. Empower the mixture with a chant. Compose a simple, direct sentence of what you expect the lust dust to do, and use it as a chant. Sprinkle the dust about the bedroom or wherever you want the seduction to take place. Lust dust works extremely well(and quickly) when loaded into magenta candles.
Storm Moon Winter Mist
Rolled Oat Yule Cookies
I make these cookies all year long, although during the Yule season I add either red and green M&M’s or dried cranberries to the batter.
Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup water
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups quick-cooking oats
1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 cup M&M’s or dried cranberries
In a large mixing bowl, mix butter and brown sugar. Mix in water and vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine the oats, flour, salt, baking soda, and M&M’s or cranberries.
Mix the dry ingredients into the butter/sugar mixture.
Shape the cookie dough into two long logs, cookie size in diameter.
Wrap the logs in wax paper, parchment, or plastic wrap. Chill for 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 375 F.
Unwrap cookie logs and slice into ½ inch thick cookies.
Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet and bake for about 12 minutes.
PIERNIKI (Polish Spice Cookies)
1-1 ½ c. honey
Pinch of black pepper
½ tsp. nutmeg
½ tsp. allspice
1 c. sugar
4-5 c. flour
½ tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. cloves
4 eggs
1 tsp. soda dissolved in water
Heat honey until it boils, then allow it to cool until lukewarm. Sift the flour with the spices.
Beat the eggs with the sugar until thick. Add the soda, then the honey and the flour. Mix well. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured board to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut cookies in whatever shapes you like. Bake them on buttered sheets in a 350 degree oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until just lightly browned.
The pierniki may be decorated with a thin glaze made of confectioners’ sugar, water, almond or vanilla extract and a drop of food coloring.
Snow Moon Ritual Oil

This is to bring a past love back to you
You will need:
1. Select a clean area to cast your spell or create an altar.
2. Mix a bit of lavender oil, rosemary oil, and vanilla extract together. Take a q-tip and anoint the candles with the oils.
3. Place the two red candles facing north and south and the two pink candles facing east and west.
4. Place the picture of the couple in the middle of the candles.
5. Light the white candle then light the incense and candles going around clockwise. Now focus and say.
”As the candles light,
Memories of our love shall unite,
Our hearts shall be binded together,
In love we shall stay forever,
By day three,
You shall come back to me,
No reverse or curse,
So mote it be,”

You will need a plastic drop cloth, sexy tunes, lavender essential oil, a large bottle of baby oil, and pure vanilla extract.
After dinner go out and look at the moon with the one you love. Afterward, retire to the bedroom, turn down the lights, put the plastic drop cloth on top of the bed and turn on the music. Mix eleven drops of lavender essential oil in a cup of baby oil. Add a teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir the oil with your fingers, clockwise. As you stir, chant:
