Continuing our working with herbs in Magick. We are going to dial this back so we can study two herbs per week. Understanding the herbs and what their magickal properties are is essential when working magick. Aloe has a feminine aspect. It is closely connected with the Moon and with the element of Water. In magickal workings, we use Aloe for beauty, protection, peace and success. Known for the healing qualities it can bring, using this herb in magickal working can help to boost any healing energies that you wish to send to the Universe.

When working a magickal healing spell, one could place this herb on the altar and ask the plant to lend its energy to your workings. There is also an element of luck that accompanies this particular herb as it has the ability to heal itself, the plant itself is lucky. But what this herb is most used for in magickal working is protection and healing.

The healing this herb will lend in Magickal working, as it is connected to Water, are to the Ears, Eyes, Stomach and Uterus. If you are having issues in any of these areas, you can ask the herb to lend its energy to help to heal you.

God Herb



Angelica

Angelica has a masculine aspect. It is closely connected with the Moon and Jupiter and with the element of Fire. In magickal workings, we use Angelica for protection and exorcism. Priests have used this herb in their sensors for centuries to rid those afflicted. (Disclaimer: If you are faced with an entity, please reach out to Lady Beltane as she is very versed in this. Do not try to take on this entity alone.) This herb can help to add a layer of protection for you in life.

When working a magickal protection spell, one could place this herb on the altar and ask it to lend you its energy. You can also fashion this into an amulet to carry with you for protection while on the go.

This protection herb can lend its energies for protection, as it is connected to Fire, the protection will go to the Abdomen, Genetalia, Heart and Mind. If you need protection in any of these areas, you can ask the herb to lend its energy to help protect you.

Remember, when using herbs, you have to understand what the herb can do, as well as understand the direction/element that the herb attunes to and the planetary alignment. Remember, understanding comes with research, education and practice.

Much like moon water, solar water can be easily created by leaving a clear glass jar or container of water out in the sunlight in order to infuse the water with the Sun’s properties. You can use spring, bottled, or tap water – any kind will do! Just make sure the water is safe to drink if you intend on doing so.

Once you have collected the water, you can add herbs, oils, or other ingredients that are associated with your intention. For example, if you are doing a spell for prosperity, you might add some money-drawing herbs such as basil or mint.

After you have added your ingredients, you will need to charge the water. This can be done by simply speaking your intention over the water, or by using a charged crystal such as amethyst or citrine.

When To Collect Sun Water

What time of day is best for creating solar water? Well, that depends on your intention! The Sun goes through several phases throughout the day, and each of these phases brings a very different energy to your magickal workings.

Sunrise

This water is best utilized for new beginnings, manifestation, and drawing in blessings such as wealth, abundance, and fertility.

Noon

This water is often used to bring good health and vitality, physical prowess, courage, and wisdom. The Sun’s energy is at its peak during this time, making it perfect for charging crystals or other magick implements.

Your sun water can be further customized by working with the sign that the sun is currently in to help you focus your intention. At the time of writing this, the sun is in Aquarius, blessing us with joy, creativity, and a strong spirit of individuality. Next, we’ll explore how to incorporate the aspects of the Sun into your practice.

Uses For Sun Water

Now that you have your Sun water created and charged, it’s time to use it! Here are a few different ideas for you to get started with.

Use the water in your spell or ritual.

Once the water is charged, you can use it in your spell or ritual in any way that you see fit. This may include spell jars, adding it to bath rituals, or for any situation in which you may resort to using water in your practice.

Use solar water for cleansing or blessing.

If you work with a god, goddess, or spirit of the sun, you can also have your deity bless your solar water. This water can then be used to cleanse your tools or space, adding it to baths or floor washes. Use it to wash your hands before working magick.

Water your plants with solar water!

If you work with plants in your practice, use your solar water to show a little extra love to your garden or houseplant collection! Does solar water seem to have a positive influence on your plants over time?

As a solar witch, you may enjoy using your water to make sun tea! You can infuse your tea with honey or herbs that correspond with your intention for the day.

Tips For Creating Solar Water

Be sure to collect your sun water before the moon rises, as this may cancel out the gathered energy depending on your beliefs.

You can further enhance the energetic effects by creating solar water at the time of a special event like a solar eclipse or the Summer solstice.

Don’t use water in spell jars with ingredients that may mold over time, as this will spoil your jar and potentially ruin your spell.

If you intend on drinking your water, make sure it’s safe by boiling it first or charging already drinkable water!

BASIC CANDLE SPELL c 2014

BASIC CANDLE SPELL

Depending on your goal, you will need to choose a candle color that is appropriate for your task. Different colors represent different things, for example, if you want to use this spell to gain money,  you choose a green candle, because green represents money (as well as other things). If you wanted love, you would use a pink candle (or red if it’s actually lust you want).

Take the candle and make 7 notches in it, all equally apart.

Using virgin olive oil, dress the candle, rubbing the oil on it from the middle to the bottom, then the middle to the top.

Place the candle in a sturdy candle holder (preferably metal, glass may shatter) and light the candle. Concentrate on your task while the candle burns down to the first notch. Burn the candle each night to the next notch until it has completely burned out.

Look at any god correspondence chart on a wiccan website to see which color you want for the different types of spells you could adapt the above basic one to.

You can also write out what you want in rhyme and burn it after saying it like an incantation. 3×3 times works well. Keep any ashes and wax and make into a ball as a Talisman or keep in a spell box in case you wish to reverse the spell

This is a spell for love gone wrong, for ending a personal, family or business relationship that you no longer wish to be in. It is a fire spell. To work it, gather herbs of protection and an image of the person (photograph, poppet, etc.) -Something written in their own hand, a lock of hair, a piece of clothing or a personal object will also do.

Put everything into a fireproof container – iron cauldron, marble mortar, whatever – and set fire to it as you perform the spell. It should make a very satisfactory blaze that reduces to ashes. The ashes can be buried or washed down a drain. Flush them down a toilet if you are very angry. Dispose of all the objects that connect you to the person: gifts, letters, photographs, etc. It is especially important to get rid of jewelry. Move house if you have to.

Be careful with this spell. It’s permanent, so don’t use it unless you really mean forever. It’s also powerful. Say:

Spell – Hair on Stick Lust Spell

For many, Friday is the last work day of the week. It’s considered the fifth day of the work week and, also, the “cut loose” day. By Friday night, people are out having a party. That makes Friday the perfect day for lust, banish, fast-grant, and find spells. This day is so powerful (energy wise). That’s why whatever you do on this day will, usually, have a strong effect. If you want things out of your life, the darkness and power, associated with this day, bring the energy you need for that. If you need strong, immediate results, this is your day, as well.

Hair on Stick Lust Spell

Items you will need:

3 strands of hair
1 comb or brush
1 small stick
1 tube of red paint
1 bottle of glue

Spell

Find a small stick and paint it red. While the paint is drying, comb through your hair and take three strands from your comb or brush. After the paint on the stick is dry, cover the stick in glue. Then, wrap the three strands of hair around the stick and let the glue dry.
Now, say this chant:
“I’ve wrapped up my passion.

I’m ready for it to come out.

Tips for Collecting Moon Water

To make a very powerful Moon Water, start the first night of the lunar phase you chose (for example, the first night of the Full Moon), and charge the water outside for 3 consecutive nights. This can be done not just during the Full Moon phase, but during any lunar phase. Each has its own Magical properties as we will see below.

How to Use Moon Water in your Rituals

1. Enhance your Meditations

The first step towards strengthening your intuition is to recognize its existence. Being aware of your powers is key in realizing full potential while meditating.

  1. Light a blue or purple candle on your altar.
  2. Apply a drop of Moon Water to your Third Eye chakra (between the eyebrows) to open yourself to divine wisdom and revelation.
  3. Follow a guided meditation to awaken your inner knowledge and listen to your intuition.
  4. Find a place of peace within you, allowing the visions to come to you with ease. Don’t be disappointed if you don’t have any visions at first, practice makes perfect.
  5. Keep a bottle or jar of Moon Water near your altar to keep working on your abilities.

2. Add Moon Water to your Baths

  1. Fill your bathtub as you normally do, and pour some Moon water that you’ve previously prepared. Get in the tub and pour the rest of the water on yourself.

Healing Water Enchantment

Ingredients:

  • A glass of water (that’s it!)

I prefer to use a glass, but you can use a plastic bottle if it’s all you have. Water is the perfect liquid to imprint with your intensions, so this spell is super simple but instantly powerful.

Hold the glass of water between your hands and say whatever you most need. For example:

My migraine is gone and I am full of health.

Close your eyes as you say these words and focus on putting all of your energy into the water. Raise as much energy as you can (I raise energy through my feet from the earth and send it out through my hands) and picture the outcome that you want. Do this for at least 2 minutes.
