The central theme of what is traditionally called the Wheel of Fortune card is cyclical change. The Wheel keeps on rolling, churning events in a ceaseless progression of ups and downs, either way freeing us from the past. No one can escape its cyclical action, which can feel somewhat terrifying — no matter whether we are rising or falling. When one is balanced on top there is a moment of crystal clarity, but the only part of the Wheel not going up and down is the hub, which is your eternal Self, the Source of Freedom.

Every one of us will occupy all the points on the wheel at some time or another. The cycle of the wheel is its lesson — and we can learn to take comfort in it (as we do when we celebrate our birthday). If you don’t like the look of things right now, just wait — things will change. Of course, if you do like the look of things right now, enjoy it while it lasts, because that will change too!

“GOOD MORNING, WOTC!” Welcome to all our visitors & love to all of our friends & family!

Good Morning to all my friends, family and visitors this wonderful Wednesday morning! I want to set the record straight and get something straight with all of you. I believe when I do this I will feel much better and I won’t be in this pickle by myself or feel all alone. If you remember when I gave the women who working here the week off, I stayed in the office. I did our daily publications then I nosed around. I got into our books that Annie was suppose to be keeping. I gave her this job because she was a trusted friend that I had known for a long time. I also thought it would take a burden off of me and I could tend to the animals.

I had my reasons for going for the books and I should have done so sooner. I had been noticing the last couple of weeks, that she was hitting me up for money because we were out of this or that. I kept a money box in the office, which at the first of the week, I would put money in. Money out of my own pocket. I always kept a certain amount in it. I got to noticing I would have to add more and more money to the box to get it back to the amount that was suppose to be in there. Well I checked the money box and it was empty. So I drug out the books and I was floored. In the books, there was bills that were suppose to have been paid but weren’t. It wasn’t the donation money you gave to the animals, I always took that and applied it to the animals. But I have had to negotiate with the utilities, the mortgage company, the feed company and everybody else we owe for payment arrangements. All this has been coming out of my own pocket, now I am flat ass broke and I have found a Whopper of a bill. This bill kills my soul. It is the property taxes on the refuge. I found where she had paid the land taxes but did not pay the buildings’ taxes. She knew how I loved this place. If I could get my hands on her I would strangle her. I have notified the proper authorities of this matter and  they are looking for her. But she can’t be found, no one knows where she is.

I have let all this build up on me till I thought I would go insane. The buildings’ taxes are driving me crazy and being out of my medicine don’t help either.  But if I don’t come up with the money by the middle of April, the sheriff will auction the buildings off at the courthouse. So I have to rack and scrap to get the money up to prevent this from happening. If there was ever a time I need my friends, it is now. I feel so bad that I trusted her but I had known her for years. She even worked as a bookkeeper for a government plant out here. I don’t understand it at all. Why would she do me this way? I don’t get it. I have thought and thought about it and I don’t understand it at all. I know if I lose the refuge, I will go crazy. The animals, I love and we have some I don’t know where they would go if we lost this place. I do know one thing, if I ever get out of this mess. I will never trust anyone again. NEVER, EVER!

So now dear friends and family, you know what has been wrong with me. I feel so bad about this happening, I can never tell you how much I do. But I need your help, I have took all my personal funds and applied to what I could to keep the place going. I am totally broke plus I have left my husband. I will go into that later but now the refuge is in dire straights. I need your help to come up with the tax money to prevent the sale of the buildings. I hate like heck to ask but I promise the WOTC will never, ever get in this situation again. If I have to I will take the books with me and do them while I attend to an animal. I promise. No one will ever have access to the money here. Thankfully, I was handling the animals’ donations. But that money has run out also, so that has been another worry on my mind. The remaining money I had I took and applied that to the care of the animals. So right, now I am totally broke and on the mercy of the world. And Annie wherever she is, she is a witch with her ass on fire. I can guarantee you, she will be wishing the Law finds her soon. But in the meantime, I have to prevent the Law from selling us. We need your donations again and I am so sorry to ask. But this is a must. We can’t loose the refuge. Please help us save the refuge and the work we do here. Please any amount you can give will help, believe me it will.

Petition Magick

Petition Magick

This is the easiest form of magick. It requires a piece of paper, a sacred space, and an altar.

Petition magick is used for both minor and major problems, and can be used with other magickal applications without interference, as long as your focus and deity system remain the same. Petition magick is a very simple operation.

Go to your altar, write down the situation, burn some incense, ask for guidance, and put the paper in the middle of the altar. You will get an answer.

Petition magick is also good for problems in which you choose not to use any other type of magickal . Perhaps you feel that throwing magick at a problem will not solve it and seek the correction to move.

The petition should be burned after the answer is received and thanks given to the deity.

Light altar candles. Light incense. Think hard on the subject about which you wish to learn the truth.

Light petitioners candle…a candle representing yourself. (Can be any color you feel represents you) and say:

“This candle I light to represent myself.
It burns as does the spirit.
It is myself in all things.”

Light two white candles and say:

“These are the symbols for truth.
They are enjoined about (your name)
And to me show all truth.”

Then say:

“As I roke in the night ‘cross the brown heath bare,
In the bright moons light saw a castle fair;
Lords and ladies, great and small,
Were crowding in, ’twas a festival,
Grasses in the wind are waving.
They bade me welcome and I went to drink their wine to my heart’s content.

If you suspect someone is a liar but are not sure, get a purple candle and dress it with Compelling oil. Write the person’s name on a piece of parchement paper nine times and cross and cover that name with your name nine times. Place the paper under the candle and burn it for seven days while the moon is waxing. Each night you light it, call the person’s name and say, “I compell you to tell me the truth!” On the seventh night wrap the left-over candle wax in the paper and throw it in running water or at a crossroads. He will be compelled to tell the truth then and may confess to many lies.

America’s schools are all abuzz with bully abatement, but did you know  that cats can be bullies too?  Here are the red flag warnings that your  sweet little kitty is really a big bully to the other cats in your household or  neighborhood.

1. Staring

2. Pouncing on another cat while that cat is sleeping or resting

3. Blocking thoroughfares such as in the middle of a hallway or in front of  the cat flap to deny exit or entry

4. Attacking, growling and hissing at another cat without apparent  provocation

5. Blocking access to indoor litter  box

6. Forcing another cat away from food bowl

7. Claiming resting areas and/or access to human by physically pushing other  cat away

Cats are territorial by nature and in territories where there is more than  one cat (indoors and out) a hierarchy is likely to develop. The biggest cat  often, but not always, will dominate the top rung of the ladder. If you do  observe the above listed behaviors in one or more of your cats, and it lasts for  more than a couple of weeks, then you likely need to intervene.

The first step is to assess whether your dominate cat (the one being the  bully) is getting the respect he/she deserves.  This situation happened in  our household. Sushi, our Maine Coon, who weighs about 24 pounds is the  undisputed top cat in the household. However, he is not the family favorite as  he doesn’t like to cuddle and he is quick to use his claws. The family favorite  is Mittens, our skinny little polydactyl cat that has an amazing personality,  loves to cuddle, and is light enough for the children to pick-up (which he  completely tolerates). Riki Tiki Tabby is also well-loved, but since he doesn’t  like to sit on laps or be held, he takes second place to Mittens. The result is  everyone in our household greets Mittens first, plays with him first, rubs his  belly first and gives him lots of treats. It got to the point where Sushi was  almost being ignored.  I guess Sushi said to himself, enough is enough,  because suddenly one day, he started  attacking Mittens quite aggressively.  I was actually shocked as it seemed to come out of nowhere.

This went on for a few weeks and it was causing our household significant  strife. Mittens was a nervous wreck and developed chin acne ( a sure sign of  stress). My husband was finally astute enough to suggest  that maybe Sushi  was jealous and that he (Sushi) felt he was not getting the respect he deserved  as top cat. So, we started greeting Sushi first when we came home, giving him  lots of chin rubs, and making sure he was the first to get a treat, the first to  get brushed and the first to be fed. Like magic, Sushi suddenly stopped  bothering Mittens!

Other issues that can stimulate bullying behavior in cats include having too  many cats in too small of a territory and/or having too few resources. Most cat  experts will say that you should have at least one bowl of food, one bowl of  water and one litter box for each cat. Some vets suggest even having one extra,  especially in the case of litter boxes. Cats that have not been spayed/neutered or  were fixed later in life, tend to be more naturally aggressive and  territorial.

What has traditionally been known as the Strength card represents Nature which, however wild in its primal form, is tamed by our subtler, finer (feminine, interior) self. The will and passion of our instinctive nature does not need to be broken, but refined and brought to consciousness — so that all levels of Creation, inner and outer, may come into harmony.

The feminine soul-force contains a persuasive power that can nurture and induce cooperation from others, stilling disruptive energies by harmonizing differences in the spirit of collective good will.

Life As The Witch – Past Life Remembrance Exercise

I have been digging around in our files this morning especially for you, my dear. I am also on the hunt for the unusual and the different. I know if you are like me, you get tired of the same old, same old. I have done it seems like the same Past Life Regressions and Remembrance Spells for the last five years. I ran across this one and automatically said, “Oh boy, I had forgot about this. Something new to share. I admit it is different, very different from what you are use to but it does work and work very well it does. I hope you find it useful and enjoy!

Past Life Remembrance Exercise

Actually you can use it for many things, but it works well for this purpose.

Get into a relaxed position, lying down is best.  You should do some exercise to open your Chakras. After that, once you are really relaxed.  You first imagine that you are getting smaller.  Like your body is shrinking and you become smaller and smaller.  Then you imagine you are your normal size again. Now you imagine that you are getting bigger and bigger, your entire body is just growing.   Then again back to your normal size.  Eac h time you go smaller or bigger, imagine you are going further and further into that size.  When you are getting larger and you feel like you are above the town, above the earth, just hovering with the stars.  Stay there for a minute.  Just relax and think about nothing.  Then when you are ready to return to your normal size again, tell yourself as you move further down towards the earth, when you arrive you will be at another time, in another lifetime.  You can ask to arrive in a lifetime that will help you in this carnation.  Once you are back to normal size, take a minute and just see what you feel what thoughts are running through your head. You might see scenes or images or flashes of things.  Even if you think you might be making it up, just go along with it as it comes.  Don’t question it or try to understand any of it, just be more like a spectator.  When you are ready, you make yourself larger again.  And again, as you are hovering above the earth, you say to yourself as you return to your normal body size, you will be back in your own time, in your present life.  Take your time to come out of it, relaxed and slowly.  You may want to write down what you can remember about it all, so you don’t forget later.  Now, take what information you received and try to meditate on it, see if you can understand anything that connects that life with this one.

RITUAL MAGICK

Ritual Magick could be said to be the halfway point between Ceremonial and Natural Magickal workings. It uses astrological alignments, colour correspondences, as well as moon phases and elements to achieve desired results. Singing and dancing are often used to help raise the energies, as well as drumming and trance-like states. Visualisation and incantations are used by the practitioner much the same as the Natural Magick practitioner, though elemental and astrological influences are taken into consideration. It may be performed by either individuals, or groups… as it is not as elaborate as Ceremonial Magick, though more complicated than Natural Magick. Because of the lesser complexities, it is not used for enlightment, but may be used to achieve mundane and spiritual results much the same as Nat

 

ural Magick. This genre of Magick can be classed within the same specifications as Ceremonial Magick- both are considered ‘high’ Magick, it does seem to be a meeting of both Ceremonial and Natural Magick.

NATURAL (OR ‘LOW’) MAGICK

Once so called because it was the practise of those who worked and lived in the ‘lowlands’…people such as farmers who worked long hours during the day, and had little time to perform elaborate and complicated rituals and ceremonies. Nowadays, Natural Magick has its roots firmly placed in those days- using natural objects during the workings. This less formal genre of practise takes less time and does not need a magickal space or structure to achieve the desired results. Sometimes referred to as ‘folk’ magick, it seems to have a much more common sense approach to magickal workings. The practitioners of this use feathers, stones, gems,herbs, wood, the seasons of the year and moon phases, coupled with their own forces and energies to create and perform a spell. The desired results of such magickal workings can be mundane and simple as well as more spiritual and mental.

Any parts of animals used for the Magick are not procurred by sacrifice, but are things that can be found- such as feathers or bones that are visible on the surface of the ground. The pratise of Natural Magick perserveres to achieve harmony with nature, rather than connecting to the Divine, and is often called ‘the Magick of the Wiccans and Witches’. Visualisation and chanting (incantations or spells) is used in this form of Magick also.

BLACK MAGICK

Sometimes referred to as ‘left hand magick’, is using energies to create a situation to benefit the practitioner This includes bending another persons will, causing confusion in others. Black Magick is usually self-concerning- in other words it is used by the individual, FOR the individual- for personal gain, whether that be emotional or physical gain- it is said to be used selfishly.It can be said that Black Magick works against the natural order of the universe- it bends the forces and energies against the natural way- forcing choas and misunderstanding. All Magickal workings have consequences other than the desired results…there are side effects to consider. Whereas the usage of white magick has naturally beneficial side effects, the opposite can be said for black Magick, and side effects may be dire indeed. Whether a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, it should be always considered that Magick can be dangerous either way

Magick itself isn’t black, white, or grey. Magick is simply what it is. It is the intent of the person using the magick that molds it into becoming effectual as ‘good’ or ‘bad’, etc.

Categorising each magickal use as being white or black (or somewhere in between) is difficult. Some magickal practises can go awry, bad things may happen to one person due to not enough forethought…does this make the magick ‘black’? Good intent, nomatter how strong, may not make up for causing harm to another. The way in which you practise is entirely up to the individual- it is what you think you can accept morally and judgementally for yourself. As with all witchcraft, there is no right or wrong- it is whatever makes you most comfortable.

The general situation is one of easy, natural progress. That which had been weak is now steadily rising up, and by gaining a prominent position, becomes a stronger force. The image is the light of the rising sun, which at first appears dimly through the mists. But this relatively weak light later radiates with powerful clarity once the sun has reached a high position in the sky.

Progress is made when those in subordinate positions create harmony with those above, and in so doing create a natural means for their collective talents and abilities to blossom. It is by recognizing and riding with the natural course of events — by hitching our wagon to the rising sun, as it were — that we advance our position and earn respect.

Goodness in human nature is like the dim but beautiful early morning light. It can easily be obscured — by greed, hatred and other forms of self-absorption — just as the morning light can be swallowed by fog. Be reminded that progress is achieved most effortlessly when right action is taken without concern for immediate reward, and when the path of the weaker elements aligns with the strong.

How to Find A Mantra That Fits You

Sit in a comfortable position. Picture yourself leaving your body and traveling up to the Cosmos.

See yourself sitting calmly in the center of the Universe. Concentrate on the stars, then after a few minutes of gazing at them, a few of the stars will glow a bright baby blue.

Concentrate on one bright blue star at a time. As you gaze at that particular star, you may hear a phrase or word whispered in your head. Repeat what you hear and focus inward. If the mantra is right for you, you will know it within. If it is not right for you, simply gaze at another blue star and repeat this until you find a mantra that fits you.

After you find a mantra, thank the Universe and feel yourself slowly descending from the sky, back into your body.

When you open your eyes, you might feel a little tired or drained. You might find that drinking a nice cold cup of juice re-energizes your body. You might also wish to have a small snack. Milk and juice are ideal for recharging yourself.

This is one of the best known binding spells. This three times three spell is to use on people who were corrupt in their ways. It has no negative consequence unless you think ill of the person while casting it.

Fires in the south, awaken from sleep

It works best if you have something representing that person, like a strand of their hair or a fingernail. The spell may not work instantly; you may have to repeat it for the person to see errors in their ways. Please be sure you’re not being hypocritical, because that may cause negative feedback.

Find a photo or draw a picture that represents the person who you desire to be with (or reconnect).  You may or may not be in this photo as well.

Create a sacred space or altar that includes items that feel energetically positive to you (for love you may want to include rose quartz crystals and/or figurines that show loving couples).

Hold this picture in both hands and meditate with it, and see yourself and this other person as if you are already together.  If it is marriage you desire – feel into the feelings you would have if you were married already.

Feel the joy you would feel of being together.  Meditate on this for about 5-10 minutes.

Then place the photo in your sacred space.  And as you go about your life, when you think of this person and yourself, always think of being in the relationship you desire to have with them as if you had it now.

Clear out any doubts or fears that it is anything other than that. By having this constant positive focus, energetically and magickally you will draw that person to you.

Do not worry, wonder, or plot the ‘how’, simply keep your focus on you being with them together as a couple, happy and in love as if that was your reality right now in this moment.

A BASIC LOVE SPELL

(Be careful how you use these)

Take three cords or strings of various, pleasing pastel colors- perhaps pink, red, and green- and braid them tightly together. Firmly tie a knot near one end of the braid, thinking of your need for love.

 

Next, tie another knot, and another, until you have tied seven knots.  Wear or carry the cord with you until you find your love.

 

After that, keep the cord in a safe place, or give to one of the elements- burn and scatter the ashes in the ocean or in a stream.
