Thank You for the donations, Please remember the Raffle is still going!

Thank you all that have donated today. Please remember that the Raffle will be going till the 29th of this month. And of course, goofy (me) has her butt in a crack with WordPress over the payment for our domain.

I got to looking for my purse and come to find out I left it out in the truck. It has been in the truck since Saturday. Someone broke into the truck on the driver’s side (that side you can’t see from looking out). And anyway, my entire wallet was stolen. So I am really up a creek without a paddle. I called the bank and they have froze my account. But my PayPal account is still open. Thank the Goddess.

So if you would like to still participate in the Raffle we would deeply appreciate it and definitely now need it before WordPress finds out that the card is going to bounce like a hot potato. Thank goodness it take three days for a notice to come from your bank. I have just had way to much on my mind recently. I hope my life eventually returns to normal. But what is normal?

We Need Your Help!

Our domain was up for renewal on December 2nd. WordPress just through up a block after my last post. The block prevented me from adding any further posts till I paid them our domain fee. Well I did it and I don’t know how I did. I gave them a credit card which draw money out of my account (which is flat broke).

We need your help to cover the cost of the domain charge. If you will remember we still have the Raffle for a Cause going on. We would deeply appreciate it if we could have a few more donations to cover the domain fee. Plus you will be getting some great merchandise for your donation. “GOOD MORNING, WOTC!” Welcome to all our visitors & love to all of our friends & family!

Good Morning to all my friends, family and visitors this wonderful Wednesday morning! I want to set the record straight and get something straight with all of you. I believe when I do this I will feel much better and I won’t be in this pickle by myself or feel all alone. If you remember when I gave the women who working here the week off, I stayed in the office. I did our daily publications then I nosed around. I got into our books that Annie was suppose to be keeping. I gave her this job because she was a trusted friend that I had known for a long time. I also thought it would take a burden off of me and I could tend to the animals.

I had my reasons for going for the books and I should have done so sooner. I had been noticing the last couple of weeks, that she was hitting me up for money because we were out of this or that. I kept a money box in the office, which at the first of the week, I would put money in. Money out of my own pocket. I always kept a certain amount in it. I got to noticing I would have to add more and more money to the box to get it back to the amount that was suppose to be in there. Well I checked the money box and it was empty. So I drug out the books and I was floored. In the books, there was bills that were suppose to have been paid but weren’t. It wasn’t the donation money you gave to the animals, I always took that and applied it to the animals. But I have had to negotiate with the utilities, the mortgage company, the feed company and everybody else we owe for payment arrangements. All this has been coming out of my own pocket, now I am flat ass broke and I have found a Whopper of a bill. This bill kills my soul. It is the property taxes on the refuge. I found where she had paid the land taxes but did not pay the buildings’ taxes. She knew how I loved this place. If I could get my hands on her I would strangle her. I have notified the proper authorities of this matter and  they are looking for her. But she can’t be found, no one knows where she is.

I have let all this build up on me till I thought I would go insane. The buildings’ taxes are driving me crazy and being out of my medicine don’t help either.  But if I don’t come up with the money by the middle of April, the sheriff will auction the buildings off at the courthouse. So I have to rack and scrap to get the money up to prevent this from happening. If there was ever a time I need my friends, it is now. I feel so bad that I trusted her but I had known her for years. She even worked as a bookkeeper for a government plant out here. I don’t understand it at all. Why would she do me this way? I don’t get it. I have thought and thought about it and I don’t understand it at all. I know if I lose the refuge, I will go crazy. The animals, I love and we have some I don’t know where they would go if we lost this place. I do know one thing, if I ever get out of this mess. I will never trust anyone again. NEVER, EVER!

So now dear friends and family, you know what has been wrong with me. I feel so bad about this happening, I can never tell you how much I do. But I need your help, I have took all my personal funds and applied to what I could to keep the place going. I am totally broke plus I have left my husband. I will go into that later but now the refuge is in dire straights. I need your help to come up with the tax money to prevent the sale of the buildings. I hate like heck to ask but I promise the WOTC will never, ever get in this situation again. If I have to I will take the books with me and do them while I attend to an animal. I promise. No one will ever have access to the money here. Thankfully, I was handling the animals’ donations. But that money has run out also, so that has been another worry on my mind. The remaining money I had I took and applied that to the care of the animals. So right, now I am totally broke and on the mercy of the world. And Annie wherever she is, she is a witch with her ass on fire. I can guarantee you, she will be wishing the Law finds her soon. But in the meantime, I have to prevent the Law from selling us. We need your donations again and I am so sorry to ask. But this is a must. We can’t loose the refuge. Please help us save the refuge and the work we do here. Please any amount you can give will help, believe me it will.

A Sincere Note Of Gratitude From All At The WOTC


It is late at night and I have been reading the comments in the back. Also the comments that have been sent to our personal email address. I want you to know that I appreciate all the well wishes and blessings you have sent my way. I know now how I have made such a recovery with all your prayers and healings vibration you have sent to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

It is something, we get up every morning, come to the office and sit down at our computers. We stare at a blank screen then we start our daily work. You know it never dawns on you that you are reaching thousands of individuals all around the world each day. You never stop to think about what an effect we are having on those individuals with our words and message that we deliver each day. I know, personally, it is still hard for me to imagine that we are touching hearts and souls all around the world. In every corner of the planet, our words are reaching ears that would not be able to hear about our Religion. Some have to read our site in secret, they do not have the privilege that we take for granted in the States. In other regions, people are still stoned for even being though of as a possible witch. But still those individuals take the chance to read our site and hear our message. I am truly inspire by your courage and especially your commitment  to the Goddess. When I read your messages, it makes me realize that what we do each day is serving a purpose. A purpose greater than we could ever imagine. Thank you for the inspiration you give us each day. Thank you for being our readers, our followers and most of all our family.

I would also like to take a moment to thank the recent individuals that have made generous donations to us. I know I mentioned one this morning and I checked recently and we have received another new donor. I would like acknowledge both of them at this time for their generosity, love and support, kooltrainer and Altar L. Thank you both for your donations which will go toward our animal refuge. This time of the year is a very busy time of year for us at the refuge. I know with my illness things have been quite complicated to say the least. I am the one that generally goes and picks up the injured animals out in the field. They tell me around here, I could charm a rattlesnake. It is a gift I have always took for granted or one I never stopped to think about. I love animals. That is one of the reasons we got involved in starting a refuge. There was a community need for it. And as always, we see a need, we answer it. I know people think of animals in the wild as being just that, wild. Not capable of ever coming close to a human and never letting a human come close to them. But you have to actually look deep into any animals’ eyes and see their true essence. You have to feel the soul, yes animals have souls. They also have personalities, feelings and when they are hurt they want our help. The animals can feel my intentions the moment I get out of the truck. A wild coyote with his foot in a trap, angry and snarling at the hunter that found him, will calm down as I start to approach. Fear, I use to have some when I was little but not now. I see animals in a different light. I know they are all the Goddess’ creatures and they need me as much as I need them. I need their acceptance. I want to become their friend and help them. I want to help them recover and as sad as it has been when it comes time to release them, return them to the wild. There are times I admit I get to attached to an animal. I don’t want them to leave but I know their place is not with me but at home in nature. Animals are such beautiful creatures. Most of them in the wild have been misunderstood for so long. Now we have come to realize that some of our most valuable assets on this planet have been almost been wiped off the face of it. I know in our area, we have two huge game reserves. The government has stocked it with lynx, wolves, bears, bobcats, and some cougars. It is the hopes that these animals will repopulate their once known habitats. But even though the government is involved in restocking it doesn’t stop ignorant hunters from shooting, injuring or hurting one of these majestic creatures. The government restocked the animals but made no provision for their care if it was needed. This is where I figured we should come in and we did. I would say we care for about 25 to 30 injured animals a month. That is not to mention the babies we pick up along the way. It is our hopes to expand our operations. In fact, it is my dream to do just that.

With the help of supporters like kooltrainer and Altar L, we will continue to be able to care for the animals that come through our doors. With the help of all our followers and friends, we will be able to continue to spread the truth about our Religion throughout the world. Our movement will continue to grow and grow till one day our dream is finally realize. Witchcraft…back in the mainstream of today’s Religion. Won’t that be a glorious day, indeed. As one great Lady that I truly admire once said, “It takes a village…” This Lady was Hilary Clinton and she was referring to children. But I am referring to us, our movement and our Religion. We need your donations, love, support, prayers, anything that you wish to do, is greatly appreciated. It takes all of us to make progress happen. It takes all of us to see that our work continues not only with the animals but in spreading the word of the Goddess.

For the Goddess is the reason we are here to begin with. With those words, I will again say thank you and good night, dear friends and family.

As I have written here before, one of the ways that gardeners can make a difference  is to share their excess produce with those in need, while getting rid of those  crops that they might have too much of, like zucchini or tomatoes.

Not only will you be helping to fight hunger, but you will be helping your garden. How so?  Too many mature fruit will make the plant stop producing, so you want to make  sure to harvest so you can extend your harvest season.

If you want to donate excess produce, you can do so through Ample Harvest. They have created a campaign to get home  gardeners to donate their excess harvest to local food pantries. As the  organization states on its website, “One out of six Americans (including a  quarter of all kids under six) does not have access to healthy fresh food at  their food pantry. The AmpleHarvest.org Campaign is a national effort utilizing  the Internet that enables 40+ million Americans who grow food in home gardens to  easily donate their excess harvest to one of 3,485 registered local food  pantries spread across all 50 states.”

You can find these registered food pantries in your area simply by typing in  your zip code. I was surprised to find about 20 within 15 miles of my zip code.  There is even a special  page for gardeners with tips on what kinds of produce are best to give to  those in need, when to pick them in order to donate them, and other frequently  asked questions. They even have smart phone apps on their site.

Another site that features maps showing food pantries is Feeding America. Here too, you can find food pantries in  your area simply by typing in your zip code.

If you don’t have your own garden, or if you want to do something different  for your summer vacation, you can volunteer with organizations that donate fresh  produce by gleaning excess or unwanted produce.  Traditionally,  gleaning is collecting “leftover” crops from farmers’ fields after they have  already been harvested. After harvest, there is an abundance of high quality,  marketable produce left in the fields that cannot be harvested economically or  does not meet commercial standards.

Good & Blessed Sunday To All Our Dear Friends!

Good Sunday Morning/Afternoon to all of our dear friends! I hope everyone has had a beautiful weekend so far. I must apologize for not being online for the past two days, well really one. Yesterday, I did what I have planned on doing Friday but couldn’t. I couldn’t because our service provider dropped our service. Why? Because we couldn’t pay our bill. I talked and talked till I was blue in the face and got an extension on the bill. We now have to the second week in August to pay it. I only bought us sometime. We don’t have the money to pay it, at this time the contributions are extremely low and we are flat broke. Being flat broke is a very horrible feeling. I keep hoping and praying for a way to pay all our bills to turn up. But to this date, nothing!

 

Then when I finally did get on the internet, I started changing the graphics on the blog. I had made a header (since I had a lot of free time Friday) for the blog. I admit it looked good. Some of you might have saw it. It was on the group for awhile. I had changed the background, everything looked fantastic. Then the type/font wouldn’t show up. Well come to find out, you have to buy a kit from WordPress for $30 that allows you to change the color of the font. $30! Heck it might as well be $30,000! Another pipe dream shot all to heck!

 

The facts are the facts and I know no one likes them. But it has come down to this….the last two days you have experienced with this blog will be permanent. We have to come up with some donations to be able to stay on the net. We are a legitimate non-profit organization. Everyone seems to enjoy the message we are spreading. We just sincerely need some help now. Have you ever been in a situation were you could use a little helping hand? That is where we are right now, we need a little helping hand. If not, we will be off the internet.

 

There is a PayPal button in the upper right-hand corner. We also have a donate page with our fiscal address on it. You don’t have to donate huge amounts, every nickel, dime, penny counts right now. We are searching everywhere we can for just change. I think so far we have collected $2.01 and a fuzz ball, lol! If you want to see us stay on the net, if you like the daily information we provide you with, then please give what you can.

Good Sunday Morning, my dear friends! Have a Look, I’ve been taking pics again!

Good Sunday morning, dear, dear friends! How are you doing this morning? Me? I got up at 6:00 with wonderful intentions to do yard work. Ha, I took my medicine for my back and when right back to sleep. (For the new ones joining us, I had a three level back fusion.) I looked at the clock and thought, hmm, it can’t be that late. Yeah right, it was 11:00, I said,  “oh, sh*t!” Kiki and I do a lot of yard work together. When it is around lunch time, she doesn’t want to go outside because of the heat. Me neither, lol!

I have been out taking pics again and I wanted to show you what just showed up late yesterday. I got a call from a local vet and he asked if I would take in another critter for him. I asked him what kind and he told me, a beautiful red fox. I couldn’t believe it. It was brought to him with one of his back legs severely damaged. The poor thing, lost most of his foot and the rest of his leg and hip had to have pins. Needless to say, he is in quite a bit of pain. I give him pain shots every 4 hours and he stays sedated. I don’t believe if he didn’t, he could stand the pain. We aren’t sure what happened but the vet told me, some man just dropped him off and left. The man said nothing at all. So that led me to believe the man knew exactly what had happened. The vet said more than likely the poor thing had got caught in a trap. It wasn’t the intended victim, the man felt guilty about killing such a lovely creature and brought him to the vet. Now the question is, when the fox is out of the severe pain will he be able to function as he should. If not, he will have to have a home with a person. I never considered having a fox but if we bond during his recovery, then he will stay with me. Right now, he is very leery of humans and who can blame him. But here is his beautiful face.

This was taken while he was still under the influence of the sedatives. He had woke up just a minute and I had the camera in my back pocket. I snapped it very quickly. Then he went back to sleep. He is in a fairly good side inclosure. If he decides he wants to try to get up and walk and move, he can. I don’t believe in keeping animals in little crates or cages. All of the places I have for the animals to stay are quite large. It gives them a little freedom but they are still enclosed and safe. I might add they are also well protected and guarded.

The food bill I incur every month is huge, not to mention anything unexpected that might come up. I also always give the vets money for their supplies they use. I have received several donations towards these expenses. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate them too. No amount is too small. It all adds up and it is put to good use. You can see for yourself who and what benefits from the donations, the animals. Then on top of the bill for the upkeep and care of the animals, I also have a server that I have to pay each month also. So my funds get stretched to the max, to say the least. I want you to know that I appreciate ever donation that I get. If you would like to help keep the work I am doing with the animals going by making a donation. Happy & Blessed Monday to all! I hope you are having a fantastic day. It is beautiful here. You know everything for the WOTC has been going great until just a few days ago. We finally located our building we are going to use as our office. Being a non-profit organization, we were able to secure the building at a very reasonable amount. Over the weekend, we moved our last computer equipment into our new building. Today, we were all sit up and ready to roll but it was a little hot in here. We decided to turn the air unit on to cool the place down. Well the a/c unit is history. We have had an electrician out here and it totally needs to be replaced. After purchasing our new server, the new building, we are flat ass busted. We have no money in the budget for a new unit let alone get the old fixed.

Perhaps you do not realize what all the WOTC does. We are not only an online community but we also provide services offline. We are a community resource in real life for our area Pagans. We contribute funds, assistances and any other ways we can help in natural disasters. We want to open a food pantry also for our local in need Pagan brother and sisters. You see, we are much more than just a spot on the net. We are a very real life Pagan activist organization.

We are strapped for money. Too continue our work on the net, as well as off the net, we need your help. We need to rebuild our funds not only to fix the a/c unit but to also continue our community work in our area.

We ask that you search your heart and please consider helping us. We do for so many, now we need your help.

Happy Monday, dear friends of mine!

Days Of The Week Comments 
Hello all you lovely people out there! I was sitting here thinking about the title I use everyday on these starter posts. “Happy,” I use that all the time. I was wondering what other greeting would be appropriate, “Joyous Monday,” “Blissful Monday,” “Funny Monday?” It just hit me, “It’s A Killer Monday, Tuesday, etc., you get the idea, lol! The word “Killer” hit me because I am about ready to kill my husband (not really). He is in the next room watching Battle: Los Angeles. We have surround sound and I swear he has the volume set at 100. The damn walls are rumbling. And you can’t talk to him because he can’t hear you. So I went in there and yelled for him to turn it down. Amazingly enough, he did and the walls still rumble. He is in the process of retiring and I honestly don’t know if I am going to survive his retirement or not. Kiki, Razzy, Stinker and I are going to get us a tent and pitch it in the backyard. My Monday was going great till he got up. Enough with the bitchin’! 

 

I had several comments in regards to this blog having a “Donate Button.” There was some confusion as if it did have one and it does. On the right hand side of the blog, scroll all the way down to the bottom. There it is. It is linked to our non-profit account and I just checked it. It is working properly. If you have found material that is beneficial, you just like the blog or would just like to donate, your donations and generosity would be greatly appreciated. I know you probably wonder why a blog like this would have a donate button. In this case, it is actually to keep the internet going were we can operate the blog. The internet service is provided through a local Co-Op. The Co-Op owns the lines and therefore we are very limited to what we can get. So the funds you donate goes strictly to paying the internet service (which keeps getting higher and higher each month). So if you find it in your heart to donate, thank you very much. It is deeply appreciated. Well you ain’t paying me to goof off, so I am off to do the dailys. I hope you have a great Monday. Till tomorrow….
