Overcoming your Shadows

Items You Will Need:

Cedar or sage smudging stick or cleansing incense
Bell Athame or ritual knife
White candle
Cakes and wine or juice

Purpose:

This spell, which signifies letting go the hurts of the past in a way that allows you to move forward with fresh energy into the future, can be performed at the time of the New Moon. By carrying it out every New Moon you are gradually able to cleanse yourself of the detritus of the past, often as far back as childhood

The Spell:

Cast your circle using the smudge stick or -incense to sweep the space as you move -around the circle clockwise.

Think of your space as being dome-shaped -over your head and cleanse that space too.

Ring the bell.

With your arms raised and your palms facing -upwards, acknowledge the Goddess and say:

Great Goddess, Queen of the Underworld, Protector of all believers in you, It is my will on this night of the new moon

To overcome my shadows and bring about change.

I invite you to this my circle to assist and protect

me in my rite.

Hold your athame or knife in your hands in -acknowledgement of the God and say:

Great God, Lord of the Upper realms, Friend of all who work with you, It is my will on this night of the new moon To overcome my shadows to bring about change. I invite you to my circle to assist me and protect me in my rite.

Light the candle and say:

Behind me the darkness, in front of me the light As the wheel turns, I know that every end is a beginning. I see birth, death and regeneration.

Spend a little time in quiet thought. If you can -remember a time either in the last month or-previously when times have not been good-for you, concentrate on that.

While the candle begins to burn properly -remember what that time felt like.

Now concentrate on the candle flame and -allow yourself to feel the positivity of the-light. Pick up the candle and hold it high-above your head.

Feel the energy of the light shower down -around you, the negativity drain away.

Now draw the power of the light into you -and feel the energy flowing through you.

Pass the candle around you and visualize the -energy building up.

If you wish, say: “Let the light cast out darkness.”

Now ground yourself by partaking of the -food and drink. Thank the God and Goddess -for their presence.

Withdraw the circle.

This is a very personal way for you to acknowledge the God and Goddess in your everyday life. While on first acquaintance it appears to be a protection technique, it is actually one to enhance your energies and to allow you to be healthy and happy in all levels of existence.

MALE FERTILITY CHARMS

This is a list of various charms to use/carry to help promote fertility.

~Men should carry a piece of mandrake root to ensure their won fertility and sexual prowess, while the jasmine flower does the same for women.

The first seven herbs listed above can be added to food and take internally to ensure proper fertility, or they can be introduced into sachets, as can acorns, myrtle and nuts.

~Bull Amulet: To increase fertility in women and men, wear a bull shaped amulet, or place on under the bed before making love.

~Fish Amulet: An amulet shaped like a pair of fish and made of gold or mother of pearl will increase fertility and virility, bring prosperity and offer you protection from people you hate or who have evil intentions.

~Goat Amulet: The symbol of the goat (sacred to Aphrodite and the Horned God) increases fertility when worn or carried as an amulet, and is especially favorable for those born under the sign of Capricorn.

~Ram Amulet: An amulet in the shape of a ram will increase fertility in women

~Unicorn Amulet: The unicorn is a ancient symbol of chastity and protection, and it’s fabled born was said to be used in medieval times as an amulet to detect poisons in the food or drinks of kings, queens, pontiffs and popes. To promote fertility or increase sexual magnetism, wear any type of amulet jewelry shaped like a unicorn.

SPELL TO CURE MALE IMPOTENCE AND FEMALE FRIGIDITY

Drink 2 cups of the following tonic before turning in for the night and apply some of it to the base of your lower spine as well. By the light of a red candle, bring one quart of water
-if possible use rainwater or mountain spring water- to a boil in your “cauldron”. Add three and a half Tblsp of fenugreek seed, cover and simmer for five minutes. Remove from heat add two handfuls of savory, and then steep for an hour before using.

FACING BIRTH SPELL

FACING BIRTH SPELL Materials needed:

–Cast off Fur from a Female Cat–A Small cloth bag Statue or picture of Kitten
–Also one of Bast Incense of Jasmine or Wisteria

        Timing: Whenever necessary preferably before birth pains start.
Set up a little altar or sacred space in a place where it can be left until the birth is completed.
Arrange the statues in the center at the rear of this space.
Light the Incense and say:
Gentle Bast hold me in your loving hands
        Let the birth of the coming child be easy
        Keep all fear and negativity far from me
        Be at my side as the child enters the world
        Place my trust in you Bast
Gently brush the cast off fur against your cheeks, thinking of Bast’s love and goodness.
Put the fur into the bag and leave it by the statue on the altar. Leave it there until the birth is over.
Whenever you feel or dread of the coming birth, open the little bag and breathe you fears gently into it.

LUNAR GODDESS SPELL (FERTILITY)

Apple scented body cream string of pearls ( faux are fine) perform when ovulating take a shower then massage cream into your body pay special attention to belly imagine that you and your partners hands are glowing w/a warm golden light which is filling you stomach with warm all over.

Visualize that you are pregnant as you place the pearls around your neck and repeat the following:

“Precious jewels of lunar, I offer this adornment
in honor of your power let fertile light shine through me. Blessed be”

FERTILITY SPELL

You Will Need:

Patchouli oil

Sandalwood incense

2 pine cones
3 wheat heads

Green Candle

Green marker and paper

Rub the oil on the candle and anoint yourself around the womb area with a drop of oil.

Light the candle and incense and place the pine cones and wheat into a cauldron or container. Visualize your magickal goal and use the marker to draw yourself on the right hand side of the paper as you are now – draw yourself as you want to be on the left side (flat belly – pregnant belly will do just fine) visualize your goal while drawing – when you feel you’ve visualized enough tear the paper in half and fold the left side with your goal drawn on it into a small square and place it in your pocket then light the other paper in the candle flame and place it in the cauldron to burn.

Chant or pray for your goal to be realized as you watch the paper burn. Bury the contents of the cauldron in your yard – preferable a garden – leave an offering of a small crumb of cake on a crystal plate for any good spirits or fairies who might happen by.

Stay positive so you don’t attract the attention of any jealous or bad fairies!

Keep the paper with your goal drawn on it with you at all times until your wish is granted then you can place it in a safe place for luck.

PREGNANCY SPELL

Repeat to each direction (east, west, etc.)

“To you my child, my body is open,
To you my child, my mind is open.
To you my child, my heart is open.
By Earth, Fire, Wind, and Sea,
Into my arms you will be.”

(Last two lines are said while looking at your cradled arms).

Timing: Perform on a Saturday, during the Waning Moon, and when the winds blow strong.

Take a small square of paper and write on it the name of the annoying would-be lover. Use black ink for this. Then light a white candle and burn the piece of paper in its flame while thinking of the person running away from you. Catch the ashes in something (burning the paper over an ashtray is a good idea) and carry them out to your back porch or backyard. There you must place the ashes on the upturned palm of your right hand and hold it up saying:

Winds of the North, South, East and West, Carry these affections to where they’ll be best. Let his/her heart be open and free, And let his/her mind be away from me.

Then blow on the ashes so that they scatter to the winds.

Yarrow Love Spell

Take the leaves of the yarrow, which has qualities that comfort, heal, and protect; and tickle the inside of the nostrils, murmuring to yourself this old country charm:

Green yarrow, green yarrow,

you bear a white bow;

if you love me, love me,

my nose will bleed now;

it won’t bleed a drop,

if my love do love me, ‘

To Slow Down Time

TO SLOW DOWN TIME
Draw a pentacle on your right hand using a blessed blue pen. Visualize a sand
clock as you draw with the sand falling slowly. Say:

Core go round
Power be bound
Interrupt the nature’s course
Time slow down
Cast the spell saidth this words.

The spell will last for 24 hours or until the pentacle is erased, naturally or
washed, so don’t let your hand get sweaty.

Spell to Speed Up Time

Draw a pentacle on your left hand using a blessed red pen. Visualize a sand
clock as you draw.

Now put your left hand on your forehead or third eye, and say:

Sands of time show me thy way
Turn the nights into days
Rose petals so light and grace
Speed up time now in this place.

washed, so try not to let your hands get sweaty.

To Stop an Enemy from Spreading Gossip About You

Write the name and full birthdate of your gossiping enemy on a piece of slippery
elm bark. Wrap it in a piece of black cloth and say:

Be now silent
Let your bitter tongue be broken.

Let no evil words be spoken.
So mote it be!

Bury the cloth covered bark in a forest or graveyard at night by the light of a
pale, waning moon as you visualize your enemy unable to speak whenever he or she attempts to spread malicious gossip about you.

Spell To Upset the Plans of a Foe

SPELL TO UPSET THE PLANS OF A FOE

To upset the plans of a foe, buy a thick white candle and carve it into the
rough shape of a human being. Write the name of your enemy on a strip of paper
using red ink, and wrap the paper around the chest of the wax image. Hold it in
place by thrusting a steel pin through the chest of the figure. Think hard of
your enemy as you insert the pin. Tie a length of red thread around the feet of
the image, and suspend it upside down, saying:

“As this image of [enemy’s name] is overturned,
so are the plans of [enemy’s name] overthrown.”

Leave the image suspended. From time to time bat it with your hand to make it
twist and swing, and repeat the charm.

WRITING SPELLS

Below are some steps that will help you get started when writing your own
spells. Please keep in mind that this is not the only way to write your own
spells. There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to creating your own
spells. A spell comes from your heart, not some universal law.

Your Spell’s Rough Draft

This is the construction process of a spell.

Define Purpose- Decide what it is you would like to accomplish with this spell.

Locate Correspondences- Look for various herbs, gemstones, colors, etc that
correspond with the spell and look for other supplies you will need as well
(e.g. working tools) .Also decide how you will use the correspondences during
the spell. This could be anything from simply placing them on the alter in a
given position to creating a charm or amulet.

Casting the Circle- Decide what technique you will use to open and close your
circle.

Calling the Quarters / Inviting the God and Goddess- Decide what technique you
will use to call the quarters (the elements) and invite the God and Goddess.
(Note: this step or part of this step does not always have to be included in
your spell)

Meditation- Decide on a meditation technique you would like to use during your
spell.

Your Spell’s Final Draft

This is the sequence in which you may follow when casting a spell.

Set up the Alter
Casting the Circle
Call the Quarters and Inviting the God and Goddess
Correspondences (place correspondences on the alter, light candles, etc.)
Stating the Purpose (this can be done through rhyme, although it doesn’t have
to)
Charging the Charm/Amulet (if you choose to have a charm, this is the time to
charge it)
Meditate
Thank the Quarters and the God and Goddess
Snuff out Candles
Close the Circle

The Witches Magick for Feb. 10th – Purification Ritual for Scrying Tools

Purification Ritual for Scrying Tools

When you first make or purchase your tool, a ritual purification should be done:

(This is for most scrying tools, except the candle.)

Make a tea by simmering some Mugwort in water. Strain and cool.

Set up an altar and draw a circle of protection.

Carefully wash the scrying instrument in the mugwort water, saying:

“I wash you clean of all influences of your former life. Be now an instrument of the sight. Help me to see what is needed that I may aid myself as well as others. So mote it be.”

Dry the tool. Pass it through the candle flame and the incense, saying: “Charge this tool with energy and inspiration, that it may be a source of knowledge.”

Place the tool on the center of a black cloth which will be used for a covering. Place your hands over the tool and say: “Bless and consecrate this tool for the purposes of higher Magick. May it always be used for good and never for evil. May it serve me well, as long as my heart is pure and my aims are righteous. In the names of ___God_____ and ____Goddess____ I do consecrate you.”

Wrap the tool in the black cloth. Keep it covered until it is to be used.

Relax. When the time is right, take up the circle.

The tool is now a ritual tool and should be treated as such. Take care of it and do not let it open to the profane. Usually the tool is wrapped in the cloth or covered to keep the light and other influences out.

The proceeding ritual may be reinforced when you feel it is necessary. It may also be used when there has been a disturbing reading to clean up any residue that may remain.

Items You Will Need:

Clear Mind
A Candle (Optional)
A Voice

The Spell:

Lie on the floor and sink into a meditation. You can chant or just relax, whichever fits you best. After you have achieved your clear state of mind, then, with your eyes closed, imagine roots sprouting from your body and going into the ground. Imagine them sucking up the Earth’s energy and bringing it back to you, where it transforms into a white light that surrounds you. Imagine that the white light becomes you. Feel the power and the energy taking over your body. Open yourself up to it; accept it into you as one. After you have done this, say the words:

“Power from mother.

Power from earth.

Power from inside of me

and power from worth.

Take over me and make me stronger.

I will be weak no longer.”

And now you’re done.

The Witches Magick for February 8th – A Ritual of Thanks

Set altar facing East. Use the following items:

One blue candle

3 kernels unpopped corn

One apple cut on the cross, showing the pentagram inside

Light your candle with the following words:

“Great Goddess, Lady of the Summerlands,

Mother to us all. I welcome you to this place of power

and offer thanks to you for what you have given me.

I am a priestess of your path and I see with your eyes.

You guide me in the lessons I must learn.”

Put the bottom half of the apple in front of you. Charging the three kernels of corn between your hands, say:

“As the Maiden is ripe with potential, so is my life.

As the Mother gives birth, so do my thoughts.

As the Crone nourishes life, so do I nourish mine.”

Place the kernels in the center of the core-pentagram and melt wax from your candle to cover them. Replace the top of the apple while the wax is till warm. Let the apple sit on your altar for 3 days and nights. Remove wax token and bury apple. The wax token can remain on your altar for as long as you wish.

The Witches Magick for February 7th – A SPELL TO BIND EVIL

A SPELL TO BIND EVIL

To use this spell you must be able to picture the evil you wish to bind within your mind. It is very important to be able to see strands or bonds or knots that hold it together. Those are what you are going to release slowly.

Do note that this spell can take a long time depending on the strength and complexity of the evil. You must imagine yourself undoing the knots or bonds and then say out loud as many times as needed:

“I bind this evil from doing harm
To those around us And itself
I bind it to be free But not harmful.”

You MUST do this slowly.

If you do it quickly and try to overwhelm the evil it could overwhelm you
or just manifest on it’s evil on the energy you are giving out.
If you plan to do this spell please be very careful and know that it is very draining.
