Spell for Wednesday – Three Times Three Spell

(YOU CAN COPY AND PASTE ANY SPELLS POSTED TO A DOCUMENT TO PRINT AND/OR SAVE ON YOUR COMPUTER FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY)

Three Times Three Spell

This is one of the best known binding spells. This three times three spell is to use on people who were corrupt in their ways. It has no negative consequence unless you think ill of the person while casting it.

“Wind in the north, run through the trees
Three times three, let them see, let them see
Sands of the east, rich soils beneath
Three times three, set them free, set them free
Fires in the south, awaken from sleep
Three times three, let them see, let them see
Water of the west, flow to the seas
Three times three, set them free, set them free.”

It works best if you have something representing that person, like a strand of their hair or a fingernail. The spell may not work instantly; you may have to repeat it for the person to see errors in their ways. Please be sure you’re not being hypocritical, because that may cause negative feedback.

Spell for Wednesday – Leaf Spell for Release

Leaf Spell for Release from thewitchandwand.com

Take a walk in nature and reflect on what no longer serves you. Collect a leaf and use it to cast this spell to let go pain and the past so you can summon peace and restore your sense of inner harmony.

I love casting this spell in fall, especially around the fall harvest festival known as Mabon. The fall is a wonderfully transformative time. As the leaves begin to change color and drop to the ground, we are reminded that sometimes we need to let go in order to change.

ITEMS NEEDED

leaf

ziploc bag

chopstick or something similar

STEPS

1. Go for a walk outside and reflect on what you would like to let go of

2. Collect a newly fallen leaf

3. Place the leaf in a ziploc bag and use the chopstick to “write” the thing you want to let go of on the leaf. Press on the leaf through the ziploc bag firmly enough to see the marks on the leaf, but be careful not to tear the leaf.

Take the leaf outside. Focus on releasing what no longer serves you and recite the incantation below. Let go of the leaf and release it back to nature.

“The past I leave with this leaf,

let go of pain and summon peace”

Egyptian Art

In 1986, the band “The Bangles” sang about “all the old paintings on the tombs” where the figures they depict are “walking like an Egyptian.” Though he was neither an art historian nor an Egyptologist, songwriter Liam Sternberg was referring to one of the most striking features of ancient Egyptian visual art — the depiction of people, animals and objects on a flat, two-dimensional plane. Why did the ancient Egyptians do this? And is ancient Egypt the only culture to create art in this style?

Drawing any object in three dimensions requires a specific viewpoint to create the illusion of perspective on a flat surface. Drawing an object in two dimensions (height and breadth) requires the artist to depict just one surface of that object. And highlighting just one surface, it turns out, has its advantages.

“In pictorial representation, the outline carries the most information,” John Baines, professor emeritus of Egyptology at the University of Oxford in the U.K. told Live Science. “It’s easier to understand something if it is defined by an outline.”

When drawing on a flat surface, the outline becomes the most important feature, even though many Egyptian drawings and…

Planet: Mercury
Colors: The Color Purple ….you sho is ugly (if you get that movie reference, you are my new bff and henceforth must send me good vibes. I do not make these rules, but I live by them)

Wednesday is just a lucky day. When doing money work, I love to do it on a Wednesday. I enchanted my own website using geomantic glyphs during a waxing moon on a what? A Wednesday. Acquisitio and Conjunctio. Mercury is a quick little dude with those wings on his shoes. Travel, luck, focus, communication are all good on a Wednesday. I also like to divine with cards and charms on this day and have heard it’s also great for runes. Another thing about this day and an interesting note is that if you are doing any kind of spell to distract, hide or mislead, this is the day for such fuckery. Mercury is a sneaky little dude. Play the lottery or lay some tricks. See what happens. I don’t judge and most likely wanna hear all about these things anyway. Great day to say what the fuck you really mean.

Familiars In Witchcraft and Paganism

Familiars are an often talked about and highly debated topic in the witchy world.

As with most things, I don’t personally believe there is a “right” or “wrong” way to think about them, but there are definitely many options. I’ll share a few of them and let you know what I believe!

Familiars Throughout History

Familiars have made appearances for a variety of purposes and in a variety of ways throughout time.

Some perspectives view them as demons that inhabit the bodies of small animals like cats, dogs, rats, birds, and toads. They are there to help a witch with their workings.

In some cases familiars have even said to exist in human form!

Some accounts describe inheriting familiars through family members, covens, or mentors, usually around the time of an initiation. Witches were also thought to be presented with a familiar after making a deal with the devil.

Others say a witch’s familiar will appear to them out of the blue during mundane activities.

During the European witch hunts, animals believed to be familiars were often used as evidence of witchcraft. Even the presence of a fly or bee was enough to convince some witch hunters of an accused witch’s guilt!

Familiars Today

Today, familiars are not seen as something negative and Click here to finish reading this article about familiars on apaganmess.com

The Holly King and The Oak King

The legend of the Holly King and the Oak King is oft referred to as we approach Yule and start decking the halls with boughs of holly, but what is it all about and where does the story come from?

There are two main versions of the story, each with slightly different characters. In one, the Oak King is a figure similar to the Green Man; a summer God of warm smiles and broad green leaves, while the Holly King is a similarly benign and jolly chap dressed in red and with holly tangled in his long white beard (sound familiar?), associated with winter. He even rides a sleigh pulled by deer. This version has its roots in Wiccan belief, and tells of two battling kings; the Holly King reigns the waning year and is defeated at the Winter Solstice by the Oak King, who then reigns the waxing year in turn until he is defeated at the Summer Solstice by the Holly King, and so on ad infinitum.

The second version of the story has older roots in European witchcraft traditions, and as with so much goes back …

Difference Between the Winter and Summer Solstices?

To understand the difference between summer and winter solstices, we need to have a clear understanding of the word solstice. We know that earth revolves around sun in an elliptical orbit, but it also spins around its own axis. This is an imaginary line going right across the planet from North Pole to South Pole. Fortunately for our planet, this axis is not perpendicular but tilted about 23.5 degrees and it is this tilt that gives us seasons on earth. This tilt makes one half of earth receive more direct rays from sun than the other half which remains away from earth.

The axis, when it tilts towards the sun, it makes northern hemisphere receive more direct rays from the sun than southern hemisphere. This phenomenon occurs between June and September and thus this is the period when it is summer season in the northern hemisphere. Again, this axis tilts away from the sun between December and March which is why we have winter season in the northern hemisphere during this period. While it is summers in northern hemisphere as it receives more direct rays from the sun, it is winter in the southern hemisphere, and vice versa in winters.

Spell For Thursday – Silver Spell for Money

(YOU CAN COPY AND PASTE ANY SPELLS POSTED TO A DOCUMENT TO PRINT AND/OR SAVE ON YOUR COMPUTER)

 Silver Spell for Money

(This ritual takes a week to perform)

Situate a small bowl of any material in a place of prominence in your home, somewhere you pass by every day. Each day for seven days put one dime in the bowl. Next, obtain a green candle, any shape or kind.

Before you begin, fix in your mind the idea that you are a prosperous person. See money as being no problem. Imagine money coming to you, as you need it. Place the bowl of dimes or pennies, the candle and a candle holder on a flat surface. Hold the candles in your hands and feel the power of money.

Feel the avenues that open to you when you have it. Sense the energy within money which we as human beings have given to it. Place the candle in the holder. Pour the seven dimes into your left hand. You will create a circle surrounding the candles with the dimes. Place the first dime directly before the candle. As you place it say there or similar words:

“Money flow, money shine
Money grow, Money’s mine.”

Repeat this 6 more times until you’ve created a circle around the candle with seven gleaming pennies (or dimes.) As you say the words and place the dimes, know that you’re not just reciting and fooling around with pieces of metal. You’re working with power – that which we’ve given money as well as that which is within yourself.

Words too have energy, as does the breathe on which they ride.

When you’ve completed this, light the candle. Strike a match and touch its tip to the wick. As it puts up the fire, sputters, to a shining flames, see money burning these. See the power of money flowing out from the seven dimes up to the candle’s flames and then out to the atmosphere. Blow out the match and settle down before the glowing candle and money.

Sense the feeling of money in your life. Visualize a life with money to spare – a life in which bills are quickly paid and money will never again be a problem. See yourself wisely spending money, investing it for your future needs. See money as an unavoidable and beautiful aspect of your life. Kill off any thoughts of debt, of taxes, of doubt that you can achieve this change.

Simply see what will be. After ten minutes or so, leave the area. Let the candle burn itself out in the holder. Afterward, collect the dimes, place them back in the bowl, & “feed” it a few coins every day from then on. Add words to ask that the money comes with harm to none…. and money will come to you.

Eight of Wands – Minor Arcana

The Eight of Wands describes eight sticks soaring in the air with dizzying speed. This image shows changes, moves and travels. On the card, the background is very clear, showing that there are very few obstructions in your way and there is a beautiful and peaceful river that brings life to all things which are nearby.

In the movie Ten Commandments, Moses touched his stick into the water to spread the waves. His stick is a symbol of power to initiate events. The stick of Moses evokes the image of those sticks in the Eight of Wands Tarot card. They are the symbol of the beginning of action and the effects as well as consequences of such actions. Before we act, we think, imagine, study, exchange, and delude. This is the place of the element Air which is the sky. We give practical and possible ideas, then turn them into action.

This card also has a different meaning which is the appearance of news or new information. You can see or hear something important. The news may appear as a metaphor, so stay awake and pay attention to everything that happens to you at this time.

This card also implies an end. Sooner or later everything ends. Those eight sticks in this card not only focus on starting the events, but also bringing these events to an end. It seems the sticks in this card are about to fall to the ground. If you see this card in a Tarot spread, this may be the time to stop whatever you are doing. You can celebrate the events that happened, but also prepare to receive new things.

KODA

Grove, convergence, ecosystem, review, crossroads, harmony

Tree: Collection of various trees

Letter: Ch

Koad represents a point on the map of your life and cause to reflect on what got you there as well as where you are headed. Many factors conspired to bring you where you are today. An entire ecosystem exists in and around you that is as unique as a fingerprint. This ecosystem is neither entirely good nor entirely bad, which is why this Ogham and the rest of the Forfedha (Oir, Uilleand, Phagos, and Mor) are too complex to be read as well or ill-dignified. Koad is one particular harmony/dissonance at this point in your life. If your life is going well in some respects, this could mean a feeling of competence and capability or a feeling of love and being loved. If you are in a time of stress, Koad may represent the s**tstorm whirling around you. Or all of the above could be going on at once.
You are here to learn a certain set of unique lessons in this lifetime. There are many roads you can take any given day, and like one of those old Choose Your Own Adventure books, each road has its own outcome. Sometimes two seemingly different roads have the same outcome. Koad indicates a feeling of responsibility and ownership of your decisions, however, other factors you cannot control should be taken into account as well, such as family history, social norms, laws, and the era in which you dwell.

Many people do not realize that orchestral symphonies are major works that are frequently an hour in length. A symphony is an elaborate ABA form (think Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on steroids) with mini-breaks between three sections. If your life is a symphony, imagine Koad as one moment in one measure of a huge programmatic work of music. What harmony have you achieved? Are you in a slow or fast movement?
