To start, you will need a small jar with a tight-fitting lid, a green candle, a piece of green paper, and a pen. On the green paper, write down your financial goals, focusing on what you want to attract rather than what you want to eliminate. Please fold the paper and place it in the jar. Then, light the green candle and hold the jar in your hands, visualising money flowing towards you quickly and effortlessly.
Next, fill the jar with any combination of the following ingredients: cinnamon sticks, dried basil, whole cloves, allspice, or any other herb or spice associated with wealth and abundance. Fill the jar to the top, seal it tightly, and place it on your altar or in a prominent spot in your home.
Hold the jar daily and repeat your affirmations and visualisations of abundance. You can also shake the jar to activate the energy and release the fragrance of the herbs and spices. Keep the jar visible in your home, and you’ll notice a shift in your financial energy over time.
Craft a Buck Moon spell jar to honor your growth, strengthen your intentions, and call in grounded resilience. Use ingredients that represent courage, transformation, long-term goals, and spiritual strength.

Set your jar under the Buck Moon to charge with strength and clarity. Visualize the moonlight fortifying your energy and helping you move steadily toward your goal.
Hold your spell jar during a grounding meditation. Breathe into your body and feel your strength. Ask: What am I building? Where do I need to stand firmer in my truth?
Place your spell jar on your altar with symbols of endurance—stones, feathers, antlers, or bark. Light a candle and speak your commitment aloud, calling your power home.
Keep your spell jar beside your journal or bed. Write about the ways you’ve grown this year and the lessons you’ve learned. Pay attention to dreams around this moon—they may carry messages about your purpose.
When your spell feels complete, release its contents into nature with reverence. Bury the herbs or pour them at the base of a strong tree, giving thanks for how far you’ve come—and how much farther you’re ready to go.
The Buck Moon reminds us that true strength is grown—not declared. It’s shaped by challenge, rooted in reflection, and revealed in steady, sacred steps. Let this moon empower your next chapter—and ground you in the wisdom you already carry.

“In the beginning was the Word,” the Bible says. According to Christian tradition, the voice of God is the instrument of creation, the source of all that exists on earth and in the cosmos. The Hopi believe the universe was created by Spider Woman, who sang the sun, moon, earth, and stars into being, then animated earth’s creatures with her voice. According to Sufi mythology, God fashioned the first human from clay, then asked the angels to sing the person’s soul into a state of ecstasy so that it would enter and enliven the clay.
These creation stories express the power of the voice and the magick inherent in sound. Witches and other magicians often chant, sing, and intone special words or phrases to create the circumstances they desire. Most spells and rituals involve affirmations, incantations, prayers, or invoking spiritual beings for assistance. Chanting can also dispel unwanted energies and break down obstacles that might otherwise impede a spell’s success.
Some shamans even use chanting and singing to reconnect the soul with the physical body after a trauma has caused a separation. Singing to the missing parts of the soul/self is believed to create a pathway or bridge so the wandering parts can find their way back home.
As musician Steven Halpern puts it, sound is the “carrier wave of consciousness,” capable of transmitting information from one life form to another. Sound can even carry intentions between the visible and nonvisible realms.
Spiritual and occult literature abounds with references to the power of the human voice. For millennia people have been reciting magickal words as a way of invoking supernatural forces and petitioning them for assistance. This is usually done by calling out the deities’ names. Speaking someone’s name is said to be an act of power, giving the namer influence over the named (which is why in some belief systems, individuals have “public” names and “private” names that are kept secret). In the Genesis story, Adam was allowed to name the animals on earth and thus was given dominion over them.
Witches and magicians recognize the power inherent in some words, incorporating them into spells and rituals. Abracadabra, for instance, is universally associated with magick, by the public as well as occult practitioners. But the word isn’t just part of the stage illusionist’s repertoire. Derived from the Aramaic Avarah K’Davarah, which translates “I will create as I speak,” it expresses a magician’s intention to manifest a result. As long ago as the second century the word was written as an inverted pyramid and used in amulets to protect the wearer from illness.
One of the most powerful and sacred statements is also one of the shortest: I am. This magickal combination connects you with your divine essence for creative purposes. You can intone the words to balance your vital energy, center yourself, and generate power, much as you might chant the word Om. Or you can consciously choose to form a magickal sentence that begins with “I am” in order to manifest a desired condition.
Many witches end spells with the words “So mote it be.” This phrase (like “so be it”) seals a spell and instructs the universe to carry out the witch’s will. If a witch wants to banish an entity or energy, he might order it to leave by saying, “Be gone.” The expression “Blessed Be” is a favorite greeting among witches and a magickal exchange of positive energy.
Because the universe — and everything in it — is composed of vibrations, all sounds produce effects. Sound healers have demonstrated that the body’s chakras can be balanced by playing certain notes on the musical scale. Don Campbell, musician and author of The Mozart Effect, believes he healed himself of degenerative bone disease by “making thunder” — singing, dancing, and vocalizing a loud, long, extended tone that expressed his deepest fears, tension, and joy.
Witches tap the power of resonance to raise energy, cleanse sacred space, focus the mind, and empower spells. Whether you use your own voice or a drum, gong, bell, tingsha, singing bowl, or other instrument, sound can increase the effectiveness of your magick and add beauty to your rituals.

Road opener rituals are great for finding the way out of a stagnant situation and moving forward in life. If you are feeling stuck or having a hard time with a specific problem 🔗, this simple spell might help you find the right course of action.
This is a road opening ritual inspired by Mexican bruja Yeel Maló, who works with the ray of Archangel Gabriel, the celestial messenger. The spell recipe on this page has been modified to invoke the Universal Elements instead.
You can dedicate this prayer to a different patron saint or deity. If you need inspiration for your devotional practice, visit today’s ruling deities or learn about the God and Goddess of Wicca.
We will work with each of the 4 Elementals for a Wiccan ritual.
‣ A bowl of water will symbolize the Water Element 💧
‣ A crystal or gemstone for the Earth💎
‣ An incense stick for the Air ☁️
‣ And a candle for Fire 🔥
What incense should I use? Pick an aroma that matches your intention. You can browse the Green Witch course to learn about the properties of different herbs. Cinnamon is a great option because of its warm, comforting smell that sanctifies the ritual area.
If you don’t have a crystal or gemstone for this spell, use a bowl filled with kitchen salt instead.
Bowl of water (regular drinking water)
1 incense stick
1 crystal or gemstone (pick one according to the day)
1 white candle
Arrange your items on the altar. Each element will face one of the four directions: Water faces West. Air faces East. Earth faces North. Fire faces South.
Light the incense. The Air element is entering your ritual.
Rub your hands for a few seconds until you can feel a warm energy, visualize a ball of energy and hold your crystal, you are invoking the Earth element.
Light the candle to call upon the presence of the Fire element.
Gently dip a finger in the water to feel the company of the Water element. Water represents a state of flow, a mirror that can open the door to a new reality. This transforming energy will clear all blockages.
Chant the following road opener prayer:
Visualize an empty road. Meditate for a few minutes as you see yourself moving forward.
Let the candle burn completely and always practice candle safety. If you need to leave the room, put out the candle and continue burning it later.
Once the candle is burned, toss all remains away while saying Thank you. Keep the crystal close to you. If you need to invoke the power of this spell, rub your hands and hold it in your hands again.

Procrastinate (verb) :
“To keep delaying something that must be done, often because it is unpleasant or boring”.
One of the biggest obstacles to moving forward in life is the habit of postponing tasks, in other words, procrastinating. This is especially true when it comes to learning how to become a Witch. We all find ourselves postponing our daily meditations or find reasons not to cast spells other do our witches’ homework. 🔮
A spell to stop procrastinating should be quick and easy to do, otherwise we will postpone the casting of this very spell! That’s why this simple technique works. If the habit of procrastinating has become your number one enemy, try this easy Wiccan spell:
Simple spell for ending procrastination without ingredients. Stop procrastinating once and for all doing this easy ritual and get stuff done once and for all!
Focus
Think about the task you want to do, avoiding the words “I have to…” or “I should…”. These type of phrases imply that you have no choice, that you won’t do it unless you must. For example, never say to yourself: “I have to study”.
Say to yourself something like “I choose to study now”, or “I am ready to study” (replace with the task you are about to do). This way of thinking implies that you have control and it helps you avoid procrastination.
When you’re ready, count down in your head: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 — and do it!
Quit whatever it is you are doing and get to work on the task.
As the wheel of the year once again turns toward the chill of winter, I find myself eagerly anticipating the quiet hush that descends with the snow. The Winter Solstice, a time of equal night and day, beckons us into a world of stillness, a pause in the breath of the earth before the slow exhale into longer days.
This celestial event marks a pivotal point in our journey around the sun, a moment of balance before the scales tip towards the growing light. It’s a perfect moment to pause and think about what this change brings to our lives. Remember, everything in life is cyclical – there’s always something ending and something else beginning. Today, we’ve got a list of some of our favorite Winter Solstice Rituals to help you celebrate the end of long dark days.
Celebrate the first day of summer on December 21st with these rituals for summer solstice. May they bring you joy, love, and light in your life.
In nature-based faiths, the summer solstice is known as Litha and is considered one of the most sacred sabbats of the year. It marks the start of the summer months and the longest day of the year before the nights start to grow longer again.
People gather at Stonehenge for day and night long celebrations watching the sun align and shine through a certain point in the structure. In its most basic essence, this day is a celebration of the sun and that it is still shining on us. It will go out one day—but we should revel in our good fortune that we were born at this point in Earth’s evolution. The solstice also holds deeper nature metaphors for life, fertility, and the cycle of time and seasons. No matter what your view of spirituality or nature, it’s always worth celebrating when there’s sunshine involved!
When done right spells should last a few hours to 2 days
Be sure to mix the ingredients well so that they are properly blended. As you are mixing, think of things being bound from your life.
The first step you will need to complete for this is to cast a circle (how you normally would when preparing for your workings) and to ensure that all of your materials are within reach.
You will light your candle first, black is generally used because it symbolizes the removal of something from your life.
Next, you will write the obstacle that you wish to see removed from your life on the piece of paper. After which, you will spend a few moments visualizing how you will work to remove this obstacle from your life. It is important to remember that spells can assist a great deal, but you also have to put in the necessary time, effort, and energy towards what you are looking to accomplish. When you are finished, you will then take the piece of paper and fold it so that it is smaller in size, and begin to wrap your string around it. As you are wrapping the string around the piece of paper, you can recite the following incantation:
As I wrap this cord, ________ will be no one.
_______ shall no longer be a part of my life.
This shall come to be.
When you have finished wrapping, you will then take a small amount of the binding oil, and put it on the obstacle you have wrapped in the string. After which, you will take it, and place it in the fireproof bowl, and set it aflame. As it burns, the following incantation, or something similar should be recited:
As this obstacle burns, so shall the power it has over me.
This obstacle shall hold no power over me.
As it burns, it shall be released release from my life.
After it has been burned to ash, you may close your circle. Once the ashes from your obstacle are cool to the touch, you may bury them somewhere away from your home so that they can cause no more harm.

Struggling to feel motivated? Let the hard-working nature of an acorn help you to accomplish the tasks on your to-do list!
Acorn
Clean cloth
1. Take your acorn and wrap it in the cloth. This is you as you are right now- a hidden seed full of potential, but having a tough time getting started.
2. With the thumb of your dominant hand, carefully rub the surface of the acorn three times through the cloth. By giving the acorn a bit of warmth and attention, you are helping to wake up its energy.
3. Carefully pull the acorn from the cloth. Hold it respectfully with both hands, allowing your warmth to continue to charge the acorn.
4. Say:
Awoken from slumber to see the light,
To grow and embrace our inner might.
With space and blessings of the sun,
We have all we need to get things done!
5. Carry the acorn with you or place it on your altar. If you need a boost of motivation during the day, simply hold it in your hand again.
6. After you have accomplished what it was you needed to do, thank the acorn and plant it in your garden or in the woods.

It’s a great time for spells connected to love and abundance.
June’s Full Strawberry Moon will take place on June 21, 2024, the day following the Summer Solstice. When it comes to the Strawberry Moon’s spiritual meaning, it’s the time of the year to focus on love, abundance, and prosperity.
If that sounds similar to the Flower Moon, it’s because it is. Some of the themes that were just blooming then are coming into their peak now.
Full Moon spells, rituals, and correspondences for the Strawberry Moon are related to love and prosperity. In June 2024, the Full Moon is in Capricorn, so if there are some practical ways you can move forward on those goals, now is the time to put those ideas into place.
We call it the Strawberry Moon because it is the name some Indigenous American tribes used to describe the time of the year when strawberries are ripe. Though, sometimes, the Moon itself looks slightly reddish.
June’s Moon may be the last Full Moon for spring, or in the case this year, the first Full Moon of summer. Many of its other names for this Moon are connected to the sense that everything is in flow and is coming to fruition.
June was named after the goddess Juno, the Roman Goddess of marriage and childbirth. And, according to NASA, “The tradition of calling the first month of marriage the “honeymoon” may be tied to this full Moon because of the custom of marrying in June or because the “Honey Moon” is the “sweetest” Moon of the year.” (Though, sometimes, the first full Moon following this would be in July.)
June’s Full Moon is also known as:
Gardening Moon (Ojibwe)
River Moon (Catawba)
Moon of Birthing (Inupiat)
Berries Ripen Moon (Haida)
Summer Moon (Tunica and Seneca)
Egg Laying Moon (Cree)
Honey Moon (Medieval Europe)
Mead Moon (Medieval Europe)
Rose Moon (Europe)
Meditate or take a ritual bath to center and focus your energy on your intention. As the energy is more Earth-based this month, if you can meditate safely outside, you might find it more rewarding.
Cleanse the space using smoke from your preferred cleansing herb. Move the smoke around your altar in a clockwise manner. You may also create a circle using salt, flowers, or herbs. Create the circle in a clockwise fashion.
If you wish to charge Moon water, place water on your altar or where it will be bathed in the Moon’s light. Place any crystals you want to charge on your altar or where they will be under the moonlight.
Light the candles on your altar.
Use the journal prompts above or begin to journal about what you wish to let go of this Full Moon on one page. Write about what you wish to bring in on another. Do not judge yourself, simply let your intuition and higher self guide you. If you feel scattered, take a break to bring your focus back to your breath. Breathe slowly and mindfully, then begin again.
If you feel compelled to do so, you may burn the page containing what you wish to release. Do so in a fireproof bowl.
Stay in the calm, focused energy as long as desire, then thank the Moon, any deities you’ve worked with. In doing so, you will close the circle. If you have created a physical circle, remove it slowly and with intention in a counterclockwise fashion.

When dealing with a weekly spell guide, Mondays are thought to be the logical day for money, love, time and meditation spells. Since Mondays are thought to be the start of the work week, it gives plenty of time for a Monday spell to gain strength throughout the rest of the week.
Hold both of your hands in front of you. Stare at your hands, noticing your palms and fingers, for about thirty seconds. Then, say this chant one time:
“Palms sweaty,
From watching clocks.
No more.
One finger,
For every ten docked.
Seconds in a minute
1440 in a day.
Stop a few,
For singing birds
And trees that sway.”
This should feel like time has slowed-down and allowed you to appreciate life more.

Water is a transformative element that constantly changes form from cloud to rain, river to vapor, trickle to ice, and carries the energy of change in all its forms.
Clean, resealable glass bottle
Glitter
1. Go outside on a cold, sunny day and find some icicle (Side note: you can use ice cubes made from rain water or a natural water source in place of icicles placed in a funnel)
2.Hold the bottle underneath an icicle to catch the meltwater as it drips.
3. While holding the bottle, recite the incantation:
Water clear and bright, Changing, taking flight
Go from cold to warm, Help me to transform.”
4. Add a few pinches of glitter into the bottle. Seal the bottle and shake it to mix the water and glitter.
Whenever you need to manifest a desired change in your life, shake the bottle and watch the water and glitter swirl. Remember the energy of the icicles changing to water and focus that energy on your goal.
