Simple Aura and Skin Cleansing Bath Ritual Source: PentifulEarth.com

Spell Ingredients

White candle (for purification and protection)

Two cups salt (spiritually purifying and helps relax your muscles)

Two cups witch hazel (spiritually cleansing and acts as a natural toner for your skin)

Spell Directions

Prep: Fill the bath with water, your desired temperature.

Enchant: Light the white candle while visualizing purity. Slowly add the salt while visualizing beneficial energy, and then the witch hazel while visualizing a white energy filling the tub.

Relax: Enter the water. Start to clear your mind, focusing on the white candle.

Meditate: Start to release all negative thoughts into the water. Feel the negativity leaving your body, from your fingertips and toes into the water. Soak in the bath for at least 30 minutes.

Let go of harmful energies: Allow water to drain. Envision all negativity swirling down the drain with the water. When you exit you should feel relaxed. Remember to always let go of what no longer suits you!

Shooting Star Divination c 2014

Shooting Star Divination

Tonight, think of a question you have regarding your relationships or your  profession. Now, gaze at the night sky: go outdoors, look out an open door or an open window. Say aloud:

May this star divination be clear and true.

So be it! Blessed stars! Blessed Be!

Continue gazing at the night sky and ask your question aloud, addressing it to the  stars in the sky. If a shooting star streaks across the night sky, or if the star seems to shine brighter in the next thirty minutes, the answer to your  question is “Yes.” If clouds move across your view in the next thirty minutes, then the answer is “No.” If nothing happens, ask again,  until you receive an indication either “Yes” or “No” from the stars. Make a note of your question and the answer you received from the  stars in your journal.

Spell – One Way to Dispose of Used Spell Components

How to Dispose of Used Spell Components (Step-by-Step) on magickalspot.com Written by: Morningbird & MS Team

Contents

Plan Ahead for Disposal

During the planning phase of your spellwork, think about the ultimate destiny of your spell components. If your spell is meant to be buried or thrown into water, make sure that you are using safe, biodegradable materials. Choose candles made from tallow, soy, or beeswax versus paraffin or gel which are petroleum products. Choose natural fibers for any fabric you are using in the spell for poppets or mojo bags or whatever.

This way, when you dispose of these items, they will eventually decompose into the Earth and cause no harm. Sometimes, putting items in the regular garbage is the best option, but there are some spells that benefit from more specialized consideration.

Often a spell will tell you what to do with the components when you are done. If it doesn’t, or if you are writing your own spell, then you can use these guidelines:

For Drawing Spells

If you are casting a spell meant to draw something toward you, your home, or your place of business, bury your spell components nearby, in the yard. They will continue to draw energy as the items biodegrade into the Earth. If you’re trying to draw energy toward someone else, it should be their yard.

Burying your items on the East or South side will utilize the sun’s energy to help grow something. The East is better for things like communication, bringing in new customers, etc. The South is best for things like love and creativity. If your spell is focused on creating a solid foundation or security, I would choose the North.

If your spell is about deepening existing relationships, I might choose West.  You may decide to bury your spell components on the side of the house closest to where the target sleeps.  If there is no outdoor dirt to bury it in, a large potted plant may serve the purpose.

If burying is not an option, tucking your bundle of spell components in the crotch of a tree or hanging it from a branch might be a good option for you. When doing this, I like to make the item look decorative, to reduce the creep-out factor, but if you are cursing someone, the creepier the better.

If you have no yard, you may wish to bundle up your spell components and put them inside a wall or in the back corner of a closet that touches an outside wall or put it under the bed or inside the box spring of the target. In this case, you want to make sure that none of your spell components are easily biodegradable so the package doesn’t start to stink and attract vermin. Use dried herbs rather than fresh and no liquids.

For Sending and Banishing Spells

If your spell is designed to send energy out into the world, you can burn your items (again, choose items that are safe to burn) or send them out into the world by tossing them into moving water, like a river or a storm drain (please make sure they are safe for the local wildlife).

This also works for banishing spells. As does flushing the items down the toilet (assuming they won’t back up your system) or down a drain or putting then in the regular garbage so the garbage truck carry them away and bury them in the landfill.

For binding spells, I like to tuck the bundle under a large rock or paving stone.

For Cleansing Spells

Many cleansing spells involve absorbing negative energy into an item that you then discard. Traditionally, this is done by leaving the item at a crossroads or burying it at the base of a tree. In the case of an egg cleansing, for example, the egg may be smashed at the base of a tree to neutralize the energy or in a crossroads to send it far away.

In the case of cleansing washes, the water used can be sent down the drain while visualizing the negative energy washing away. You can also flush it down the toilet. Make sure any bits of herbs have been strained out and never send oils down the drain.

Depending on your septic situation, you may need to make special considerations with salt and products that may disturb its natural digestive cycles. Floor washes may be sent down the drain or tossed out the door with conviction.

Spell Waste

Waste, like ashes and old herbs should be returned to the Earth. The compost will do this for you just fine. Candle ends made of natural materials will eventually break down if you bury them, but there is no reason not to throw them in the regular garbage and it’s probably safer for wildlife. Paper, glass and most metals can be added to the recycling bin.

Reusing Spell Items

Some non-disposable items can be re-used with a good cleansing. Use your judgment on this. Sometimes it feels too weird to reuse something. If it feels uncomfortable, don’t do it. The advice for candles is generally not to reuse them or to make sure you use them for a similar purpose because of the sheer amount of magical energy they absorb and retain.

Things like jars, crystals, fabric items, and tools can be carefully cleaned in the appropriate mundane manner, and then cleansed using smoke, salt, or whatever means is most appropriate to the item.

REQUIRED MATERIALS:

7 day candle jar and a green 7 day pillar candle

Prosperity Oil

A jar of Money Draw Herbal Blend

lucky horseshoe

Ancestor Money

A jar of Magnet Attraction Sachet Powder

A roll of charcoal pucks

Pyrite stone

HOW TO PERFORM:

Begin by cleansing your empty jar with some sage smoke and your candle by running it under cold water for 30 seconds. Take 3 full breaths while holding your candle and visualize money and prosperity flowing effortlessly into your life. Connect with your intention deeply, use all your senses. Breathe your intention onto your candle 3 times and whisper your intention.

To dress your candle first choose a symbol or create a sigil for prosperity. The dollar sign works like a charm. Carve your symbol or sigil and your intention onto your candle. Next run the prosperity oil over top of your candle. Move in a clockwise direction from the top to the bottom to draw prosperity to you. Finally apply the money draw herbal blend to your oiled candle. Once your candle is fully dressed and charged place your candle in a fire safe container on your altar.

Write down that which you want to draw into your life onto your ancestor money. Be specific, ask for a precise amount of money and if it’s to pay bills don’t forget to include when you need it by. Offer the money to your ancestors for their help. Call them by name and make sure to give them an offering they like.

Place your ancestor money under your candle on your altar. Continue by placing the lucky horseshoe around your candle so that it sits in the ring of luck. Don’t forget to charge the horseshoe with your intention. Light your candle stating your intention while doing so.

In a fire proof bowl, on top of a bed of sand or salt, light your charcoal puck. place a scoop of magnet attraction sachet powder onto the lit puck and allow the incense to surround your spell. Inhale it and feel rich from the inside out. After the spell you can also place some of the powder in your wallet and sprinkle it onto your money.

Take your pyrite stone and anoint it in the magnet attraction smoke. For an added bonus anoint it with your prosperity oil. Hold it in your dominant hand and spend 10-30 minutes focusing on your intention. Feel yourself financially rich. When you are ready, safely take your ancestor money and light it from your candle and burn it knowing with certainty that your ancestors will come to your aid.

Take some time to divine any messages your candle flame has to offer. Candle flames can indicate possible blocks or results of your spell depending on the way it is burning.

Allow the candle to burn out then dispose of your spell work. This can be over several days. Carry the pyrite stone on your for and extra boost of prosperity. Lastly, don’t forget to offer your ancestors some of their favourite treats. Tobacco, tea, beer, cookies work depending on their preference.

Lucky Seven Candle Dressing

The number seven is lucky because so many good things come in sevens: the chakras or energy centers in the body, and the continents of the world. The number seven ranks among the most favored numbers by gamblers and lottery players. This candle dressing contains seven herbs, each representing something powerful and positive. Dress a candle of any color and burn it to attract luck in all areas of life.

For anointing, use 1 drop mint oil, 1 drop chamomile oil, and 1 drop sandalwood oil. Mix together 1/2 teaspoon crushed dried patchouli leaves for grounding, 1/2 teaspoon dried lavender flowers for attraction, 1/2 teaspoon dried dandelion petals for confidence, 1/2 teaspoon dragon’s blood resin powder for love, 1/2 teaspoon rosemary for truth, 1/2 teaspoon of sage for wisdom, and 1/2 teaspoon crushed myrrh gum for spirituality.

Try using this mixture on rainbow candle of seven colors for extra luck. Burn it just before an important event or celebration to make sure the experience is positive.

Spell For Tomorrow – A Ritual Bath Glamour Spell For Aphrodite

(YOU CAN COPY AND PASTE ANY SPELLS POSTED TO A DOCUMENT TO PRINT AND/OR SAVE ON YOUR COMPUTER FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY)

A Ritual Bath Glamour Spell For Aphrodite

If you work with deities, or even if you’re interested in working with Aphrodite for the purpose of this glamour spell, then this beauty ritual bath is wonderful for enhanced beauty.

Before the bath, set out an offering for Aphrodite. This offering can be dried roses, petals, wine, or anything else that you feel represents the goddess of love.

Set up your bathroom in a way that feels pleasant and romantic to you. I like to use pink or red candles, rose petals, rose oil essence, bath salts, mirrors, makeup, and anything else that represents beauty.

Think of the bath as your giant cauldron and add ingredients to it one by one as it fills.

Once the bath is ready, hop in and focus on your intention. Spend 20 minutes or so picturing exactly how you want to appear to others and how this will make you feel. Send your gathered energy into the bath, then picture the water infusing your skin.

If it feels right to you, chant the words:

Beauty within, beauty without,

I am fabulous, without a doubt.

Once you feel that the energy has been absorbed by your skin, the spell is finished.

This is a simple glamour spell that you can build into your weekly or nightly ritual!

Sunday Positivity Spell

This is a simple spell specially designed to attract luck into our life.

Ingredients:

  • A coin minted in the year of your birth
  • A cabbage leaf
  • String
  • Natural fiber fabric (linen, cotton)

Once you have recovered a coin with the year of your birth imprinted, wrap the latter in a cabbage leaf (a food notoriously linked to good luck) and tie everything with a piece of string.

Let the leaf dry in the sunlight (this usually takes 2 to 3 days) and then wrap it in a piece of natural fabric.

This spell to make a talisman to attract good luck can be repeated each Sunday if you feel like it!

Regardless of whether it represents a lucky charm or not, each talisman has a specific task represented by a decoration. Let’s unveil their power and learn how to make a talisman for luck.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

To create a luck talisman, set a clear intention for a specific area of your life where you seek good fortune.

Choose a meaningful charm or item that resonates with your intention, cleanse and charge it if desired, and attach it to a cord or chain for wearing.

Write your intention on a piece of paper and attach it to the charm.

Consecrate and charge the talisman by visualizing your intention and speaking affirmations.

Place the charged talisman in a pouch or bag and wear it regularly, periodically recharging it to maintain its effectiveness in attracting luck and positivity.

Banishing and Binding Spells c2012

Banishing & Binding Spells From: “SpiritWolf”

Banishing and binding spells are a hot topic for ethical debates within the
Wiccan community. Some believe these spells should not be done at all. There
are however some situations that may warrant a banishing or binding spell:

1) You or a family member is being harassed or threatened by a person, group
of people or even an entity of some kind.

2) A spell backfires and you need to undo something that was done
unintentionally.

3) You own a piece of jewelry or other object that seems to be radiating
negative energy to anyone who wears or comes in contact with it. The most
famous case of this is of course the Hope Diamond.

4) To perhaps release someone who seems obsessed with someone or something.

The simplest banishment is to draw a pentacle in the opposite manner than
normal. Meaning you would start at the bottom left side of the star and
begin drawing upward away from you. This can be used to use to protect
yourself from strange people. Put up a defensive shield, then make the sign
of the banishing pentacle in front of me in the air, and push/throw it at
the person with your hand. Envisioned the pentacle having a burst of white
light behind it. So when we talk about banishment, it doesn’t always have to
be an involved process. It can be that easy. Another banishment that is
simple and effective if someone is making your daily life miserable, is what
can be called iron binding. Place something of the person, a gift they may
have given you, or something that you associate with them, inside a small
iron cauldron, on your altar. As you do this, simply say something like
“Name of person (or sigil of name), I am putting up an iron wall between me
and thee. No more will you upset me. No more be done, So Mote It be” The
only problem with this type of spell is that you have to leave the item in
the cauldron, for once it is removed the spell is broken. So if you need to
use it for someone you never want to have any contact with again, you would
have to bury the cauldron with the item in it, or perhaps burn the item in
the cauldron to finalize the spell. But if you just want a break from
someone at work, who is making you miserable, then it works well.

A Word About Binding Spells c2015

A Word About Binding Spells

Bindings should only be done when all other avenues have been exhausted. Try to work things out with the other person, as honest communication can often solve many problems. If the person in question is someone you’d rather not deal with, try as hard as you can to stay away from him or her. Bindings are one of those “last resort” spells — something to be done only when absolutely necessary to prevent harm from coming to you or your family. Always remember the Rede and the Law of Three when doing spells of any kind. And NEVER wish anyone harm — do all spells for “the highest good of all.” If you cannot do a binding from a place of peace, don’t do it at all.

Binding Spells: A Commonsense Guideline

Binding Spells: A Commonsense Guideline

If you don’t like the idea of using poppets and have decided to work a binding, and you have a handle on your emotions, then here are some commonsense guidelines that I suggest you follow:

* Bindings are best performed on a Saturday.

* Work the binding at sunset and you pull into the spell the closing energies of not only the day, but of the entire week.

* Work with black candles; they coordinate with Saturn’s energies and they are the classic magickal color for this type of witchery.

Finally, to be crystal clear, a binding is the act of psychically restraining a harmful person or criminal so that their actions cannot harm anyone else. The goddess to call on is Hecate, and she is a mighty magickal force. Consider your words and actions carefully when you call on her. How you choose to work a binding is up to you. At this point, I suggest that you take a moment and draft out your binding spell on paper. Go carefully, and remember to harm none.

You may experience some dramatic special effects when working with Hecate. Don’t be taken aback if the wind picks up….if you candles flicker and snap…..or if you begin to notice barking or howling dogs. The animals sense when Hecate is near. Yes, we have gotten very serious all of a sudden. That’s because a binding is a serious matter. Surprised? Don’t be. Just because I tend to look at things from a humorous perspective doesn’t mean I am not serious when the situation calls for it.

This invocation includes some of the correspondences for Hecate. If you choose, you can add these to your spellwork. (This would also be a fine addition to the opening of poppet magick). A general invocation for Hecate follows.

Binding and Cursing Spells c2015

Binding and Cursing Spells

Binding and cursing are often frowned upon in magickal circles. Many people like to believe they’ve been bound or cursed, but the truth is that very few people can do a decent binding or curse and those who can, even fewer would bother.

In binding, the idea is to prevent another person from doing something. Binding them from doing harm is a popular concept thanks to the 1996 movie The Craft. Binding someone to prevent them from telling a secret is another. It seems simple enough and well-intentioned too. However you must not forget that you will be bound along with them as you are the channel for the magic. You must be absolutely certain that you are right. There can be no doubt. The love spells that focus on a particular person are a binding. You want that one person, so you do a spell to make him or her come to you and love you. Then you’re stuck with them. They might be a total prat, might not be all that they seemed, or as my friend found, they might be violent and abusive. Unfortunately because of your binding, you’ve bound them to you and it’s not that easy to get rid of them.

For best results, a personal link is required for a successful binding. A photograph will suffice but hair, blood, nail clippings, clothing or a signed document work better. A doll or poppet can be stuffed with these, along with herbs or other materials. Baptise the doll with their name, every name for that person that you might know— full name, nicknames, online alter-egos, as many ways of clearly identifying that person that you can come up with. Then bind them with anything you desire; cord, chain, or even a piece of barbed wire. After they’re bound, seal it and deal with it as you will.

Paper cutout figures can work just as well. Write the person’s name in the middle and what you are binding them from and fold it up tightly. It can be secured with paperclips if you like.

Cursing is ill-wishing someone. Again, there is a chance that you will suffer alongside them, so be very careful before trying this. In the past, I have been somewhat creative in my cursing. I cursed someone to feel compassion for the victims of their actions. For me this wasn’t a problem, I am fairly compassionate by nature, but for him, it was a curse. Another person I’ve used this curse against committed suicide. I struggled with it for a day or two, but after thinking it through and processing things I came to the realisation that I was not responsible for her death. I wanted her to realise what she’d done and take responsibility for the damage she’d caused. How she chose to cope with that was completely on her and from what I hear, the consequences of her actions were catching up with her in other ways that were even less pleasant for her.

If you are going to curse, you first need to be sure that you mean it. You might want someone to have a nasty car crash, but if you aren’t also prepared to see them die slowly and horribly from cancer then you don’t really mean it. Even if you have the power to perform a curse of this magnitude, you need to think about a few things before you consider it. Working with dark energy is one thing. Cursing death is tantamount to murder. It’s no different from the person who chooses to use a gun, only this time your weapon is magic.

A family member of a friend was receiving death threats from someone. While she has cursed him, she has done it in such a way that the curse will only take effect if he crosses a boundary that she’s set around that family member and others that are close to him.

I’ve been accused of curses that I haven’t performed. My partner’s ex-wife believed that I was going to curse her when she started making trouble for him. In all honesty, why would I bother? She was doing it all to herself without me wasting any of my time and energy, what was the point?

Most of the time, if left to their own devices, people that you would consider binding or cursing manage to do it to themselves quite nicely. Some will suddenly realise that they’ve driven everyone away and maybe it was something they’re doing, some won’t. It’s never their fault as they’re perpetual victims. Cursing someone like this will only reinforce their mindset and behaviour. It won’t teach them a lesson so there’s no point wasting your energy.

There’s one last thing I want to say on this topic. In the Craft there is a saying, “if you can’t curse, you can’t heal”. Effectively what this means is that you need to destroy the illness in order for the healing to begin. You need to be balanced and work with both sides.

I ask you to really think about it before you bind someone else. This is one of those spells that if the Universe feels the person should not be bond it will not work. Plus, if you believe in the Law of Three/Threefold Law the consequences might not be to your liking as it could bind you from doing even the simplest spells depending on how strong your intention was to bind the other person when you cast it.

A Simple Personal Growth Spell

Ingredients:

  • A white candle
  • A glass of coconut milk
  • Two tablespoons of saffron
  • A new sponge

How it’s done:

Light the white candle and stare at the candle flame without blinking; repeat this magic formula as long as you can with your eyes open:

“Dear Universe. Give me what I want. Blessed be.”

As the candle burns out, prepare a warm bath. Pour a glass of coconut milk and two tablespoons of saffron into the water. Then immerse yourself in the water and, rubbing your skin well with a new sponge, repeat the magic formula again.

If you want to increase its potency:

This procedure can be followed to increase the effect of a spell.

We will take the herbs we will need for the ritual and put them in a wooden or mortar bowl.

We light 4 candles on each side of the bowl, a white candle on the right (it will give us protection and represents spirituality), a yellow candle on the left (to increase psychic powers), and so on for the other two sides (i.e. the top and bottom of the bowl).

To do this you need to find a quiet place and try to be alone.

Spell For Tomorrow – Apollo’s Devotional Chant for Inspiration

(YOU CAN COPY AND PASTE ANY SPELLS POSTED TO A DOCUMENT TO PRINT AND/OR SAVE ON YOUR COMPUTER FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY)

Apollo’s Devotional Chant for Inspiration

In Greek and Roman mythology, Apollo is a standout god, born to Zeus and Leto and twin to the huntress Artemis. Over time, Apollo and the sun god Helios started to blend in people’s minds, similar to how Artemis got linked with Selene, the moon goddess. Despite this confusion in religious circles, myths and literature always kept Apollo and Helios, as well as Artemis and Selene, separate. The Etruscans also honored him as Aplu, showing Apollo’s wide-reaching influence in ancient cultures.

Light an orange candle during this devotional.

Incense for Apollo:

Frankincense, Vanilla, Cedar.

Offerings to Apollo:

Bay leaves, Olive oil, Wine, Sunflowers, Sunflower seeds.

In Greek mythology, Apollo is one of the most important and multifaceted Olympian gods.

The ideal of the young beardless, Apollo has been variously recognized as the god of truth and prophecy; archery; medicine and healing; music, poetry, healing, and more. In later times, Apollo became partially equated with Helios, the Sun god. But Apollo and Helios remained separated beings in literary and mythological texts. In Etruscan mythology he was known as Aplu.

Invoke Apollo’s power and bring inspiration, focus, concentration and creativity to your art, your new project or work. Use this chant as a morning ritual prayer, or combine it with a spell for good luck, healing, creativity and more.

Devotional text

Come blessed healer,

Bearing a golden lyre, generative, agrarian, Oracular one,

Wild, radiant divinity, lovely one, glorious son,

Cultivator of joy, whose arrows achieve their aim, mighty archer.

You who achieve from afar, prophet, holy one,

all-seeing eye bringing the light which shines on mortals,

Golden-haired, making clear oracular utterances,

Hear me with gracious soul as I pray on behalf of mankind.

Upon the blessed earth you look from above through the dark of night.

In the restful shadow of a night filled with stars,

You clearly see the root below and you arrange and support the boundary of all:

For the origin and completion are both in your care,

The cause of the blooming of all things,

with your resonant lyre you command the axis of the heavens,

Placing all in harmony, by which, indeed, you advance to the lowest pitch,

Elsewhere to the highest, at times playing in the Dorian mode,

Tempering all the poles you keep the tribes of living creatures distinct.

Let inspiration come to me.

Support my quest for creativity.

Make my imagination unlimited.

And my mind open to new ideas as I manifest my talents.

Let me surround myself with creative people.

So I can be in touch with my creative source.

Help me release any resistance to fully expressing my creativity.

Give me the time to think, to relax and focus.

Powerful spirit, express yourself in all possible ways.

Let inspiration flow so that I can easily express myself.

My creative work fills you with joy,

And anything can be my source of inspiration.

I promise to always look out for new experiences.

To recognize and overcome my limitations.

If you eliminate all mental blockages, remove barriers,

And any habits that oppress my inspiration.

Dear Apollo, come to me.

You have mingled harmony into the share of all mortal men,

Giving each an equal measure of winter and summer,

The highest three strings in the winter, the lowest in the summer,

The Dorian mode produces the lovely and blooming spring.

Thereupon the mortals celebrate and call you lord and

Full Sturgeon Moon Magic Ritual (August)

Sturgeon Moon is the name of August’s Full Moon. Indigenous tribes of North America knew that in August, the giant sturgeon of the Great Lakes were most readily caught. The sturgeon is a very large, prehistoric-looking fish that has changed very little in over 100 million years. It is truly a “living fossil.”

Having entered the second half of the year, we begin to notice things that need to be removed. In your life, what habit would you like to see go the way of the dinosaurs? What is hindering you or holding you back?

Here is a simple candle-burning ritual for banishing a bad habit from your life with Magic. 🕯️

How does this spell work?

The time of the Sturgeon Moon is an ideal time for getting rid of “old dinosaurs” that continue to weigh you down. This powerful moon occurs towards the end of the Summer, signaling that all seasons must come to an end.

Black is a color that dissolves negative energies. The black candle will assist you in truly getting rid of whatever is holding you back from becoming your best Self.

When you banish something from your life, it leaves a gap in your daily routine. It is therefore essential to fill the space left by the banished behavior with a conscious intention. The strength of the Full Moon will lend power to a positive statement, to help give you the Will to create your new reality.

The best day for this ritual is a Tuesday but you can do this spell on any of the three nights in August when the Moon is full.

Before you begin, make sure you have set an intention for this ritual. It can be anything from quitting smoking / snacking / social media, to severing an unhealthy relationship. This is the time to be bold, clear, and strong in your determination.
