Spell For Monday – JUST SAY NO CANDLE SPELL

What You’ll Need

Blue candle

Black candle

Sodalite

Black Tourmaline

Two strips of paper

Pen

Telling people no is one of the things I struggle with, and I know I’m not the only one. Part of it comes from being a people-pleaser, as many Libras are. I enjoy making others happy, and I’m also extremely competitive, so when I see an opportunity to get ahead, I often jump on it, even if it isn’t something I can actually manage at the time. This simple spell is designed to help you find your voice and say no when you need to. No in and of itself is some pretty powerful magic and knowing when to say no is freeing. You are not obligated, at any point, to say yes to anyone, especially if you are already hesitant to do so.

What to Do

This spell can be performed on the Full or New Moon.

As always, feel free to cleanse your items and charge them if you feel inclined. You may also cast a circle, call quarters, and ask for any divine assistance before beginning this spell. I didn’t do any of these for this particular spell, except cleansing the items before use.

When you are ready, sit the blue candle on the left and the black candle on the right. Light both candles at the same time. While the candles are burning, hold the sodalite in your hand and begin charging it with your intent: to increase truthful communication. Once you see it filling with blue light or it feels warm in your hand, place it in front of the blue candle. Next charge the black tourmaline with your intent: to banish your inability to say no when you need to. Note that I didn’t say banish your ability to say no all the time. Saying you want to banish all unwillingness to say no all the time is potentially dangerous. Instead, you want to only say no when you need and should to keep you safe and well. When you see it filling with black light or it feels warm in your hand, place it in front of the black candle.

Next, on one strip of paper write what you want to do: Increase communication. Phrase your intent in a positive light such as “I will communicate my true feelings” or “I will openly communicate with others and say no when needed.” On the next strip of paper, write what you are wishing to get rid of: you inability to say no when you need to. Again, phrase this in a positive light. “I banish my inability to say no when I should” or “I banish my inability to communicate truthfully when needed.”

Finally, burn the first strip of paper about open communication in the blue candle flame and the banishment strip of paper in the black candle. As they burn, see yourself standing tall and telling others no when they ask too much of you or you are unable to fulfill the task they wish you to complete. Say aloud,

“I will openly communicate with others and banish my inability to speak truthfully and say no when needed. This is true until I ask for it to be undone. And so it is.”

And that’s it! You can allow the candles to burn down the strengthen the spell or snuff them out if you are short on time. Dispose of the ashes by strewing them into the wind and leave your crystals sitting out on your altar for a week or two to help remind you of your intent.

To break this spell, light a single white candle and say,

“I no longer wish to communicate openly with others. I ask that the spell be removed. And so it is.”

Spell For – Creativity

Clean Up’ Creativity Mix:

This mix is intended to soothe one during and draw one through a period of professional and/or creative struggle; to boost recovery of mental stability and creativity, it’s meant to help one regain one’s creative confidence.

Ingredients (choose from what you may have available; the more the better!):

  • chamomile: reduce anxiety
  • bergamot (Earl Grey tea): confidence booster
  • ginger: courage
  • barley: stamina, creativity
  • cloves: comfort, prosperity; helps to achieve goals
  • basil: creativity, success; promotes emotional/mental soothing
  • beans: wish magic
  • bay leaf: luck
  • marjoram: luck, ease for heartbreak
  • pyrite: prosperity
  • quartz: cleansing, absorbing negativity
  • orange peel: luck and energy, successful relationships
  • coffee beans: energy, lethargy-breaker
  • decorative items for focus; in my case, green ribbon and fresh water pearl beads to draw prosperity
  • attractive, clean, clear glass bottle, commonly available at craft stores; an empty jam jar will work just as well!

Drop the following mix into a bottle in attractive layers; keep in mind that smaller spices, such as finely ground herbs like basil and orange peel, will sink to the bottom, as will heavier items such as crystals. Larger, lighter items like chopped cinnamon and dried beans will hold their place and “float” atop smaller or more dense layers.

Once you’ve filled your bottle, decorate it in a way that speaks to YOU of what you’re trying to accomplish; in my case, green ribbon and green leaf beads spoke of prosperity and fertility, while pearl beads reminded me of the triumph of creativity through difficulty. Place the bottle in an area you’ll see it while you’re working. Because the mix is a fragrant one, don’t hesitate to handle the bottle and smell the herbal mixture: it may just give you the energizing, creative spark you need!

Feeling under the weather? There’s a spell for that and the best part is, all you need is an open mind and positive outlook. You can heal yourself.

How to Perform It:

You’ll just need your hands for this one and a positive mindset. It’s very important that you clear your mind and ask the universe for it’s healing properties.

Take your hands and place them on your body where you need healing energy. This is similar to Reiki. Focus and imagine the universe’s loving energy flowing into your body delivering that healing.

Spell For Tuesday – Sun Stone Physical Energy

You will need the following items for this spell:

Sun stone

Casting Instructions

Take a piece of sunstone to an eastern windowsill at sunrise

alternatively, place the stone outside in the East where it can absorb

the rays of the morning Sun. Offer the stone to the Sun and chant:

 “Flaming Orb of rising power

Add vital energy hour by hour

To this stone with flecks of gold

Give it Your power, great and bold,

And when the light of day is through

And with your zest this stone is imbued, It shall come back home to me

To impart Your zestful energy.”

Leave the stone absorb the energy of the rising Sun, but don’t retrieve it until sundown this gives the energy time to ‘settle’ in the stone. Carry the sunstone with you.

One Way of How to Use Sun Phases for Spells

While almost every witch follows Moon phases for doing spells, rituals, and other magickal works. I also use the Sun phases, especially because my patron God is Ra.

Every day there is a waxing, full, waning and new phases for the Sun besides the seasonal changes. From midnight to noon is the waxing phases, the full phase is from 11:55 AM to 12:05 PM, the waning follows until sunset than at 11:55 PM to 12:05 AM is the new Sun phases. For the seasons spring is the waning, summer the new fall the waxing and winter the full. You can also go by Sabbat dates Beltane-Waning, Summer Solstice – Full, Samhain – Waning, Winter Solstice – New.

This idea and the phases may seem a bit strange to people but when the Moon is in the wrong phases for something I cannot wait to do I use the daily and if possible seasonal Sun phases. This gives me more options of what I need to do.

Spell For Thursday – EGG BATH FOR PEACE

By the light of a white candle add the following to your bath:

Salt, Florida water, rose petals, mint, parsley, sage, bay leaf, rosemary, nutmeg and 3 eggs.

Bathe with the eggs, being careful not to break them. When you are finished, dry off with a white towel and put on white clothes.

Take the eggs to a wooded area or park and leave them under a tree along with birdseed or bread.

Spell for Sunday – Intuitive Guidance Candle Dressing

Intuitive Guidance Candle Dressing

Often in life we find ourselves in situations where it is difficult to separate a gut feeling from facts. Life is full of contradictions, and sometimes it can be impossible to know which way to turn, which course of action to take, or what really is right for you. This candle dressing can be used whenever you’re facing a hard choice or when outside opinions are at odds with your inner feelings.

For anointing:

1 drop sandalwood oil

1 drop lavender oil,

1 drop frankincense oil

1 teaspoon dried crushed mugwort

1 teaspoon dried crushed eyebright

1 pinch powdered nutmeg

Draw an X shape on a piece of paper to symbolize the many choices you’re facing. Anoint and dress a light purple or light blue candle. Secure it safely in a holder and set it on the intersecting lines of the X. Light your candle when you’re asking for guidance or allow it to safely burn throughout your day. The answer will reveal itself.

Spell For Saturday – Empath Protection Spell

The concept of “switchwords” is based on the work of a man called James T. Mangan. As a businessman and motivational author, Mangan was a perpetual student of life and knew how to win it. He concluded that there were certain principles that, if followed, would inevitably lead to a happy and fulfilling life.

He wrote a book called The Secret of Perfect Living in which he explains the principles in great detail. In the book, he also talks about switchwords as a way of flicking on the subconscious to get to wake up and work for you. While the book is excellent in its own way, it is lacking a proper list and guidelines for using these special words. Looking for Simple Magic?

After all these years of following a witchy path, one of the things I have learned is that simple is good. Maybe it’s because I am a lazy witch, but easy spells are preferable to long, drawn-out, and complicated rituals.

Does that mean that short, easy spells are less effective than carefully constructed magickal formulas? Not at all. Because the one thing that makes spells work is the energy that you raise to send them ‘out there.’

The trick is to be able to raise that energy to the necessary level whenever you need to. And the way you do that is by tapping into emotions.

Cold Moon Ritual & Spell (December)

The radiant full Moon is an ancient power for making Magic. December marks the beginning of the cold season in the Northern Hemisphere. Cold Moon is the name traditionally given to the Full Moon closest to the time when the astronomical winter begins: The Winter Solstice (around Dec. 21st).

Also known as Yule, and sometimes called Midwinter, the Solstice is a time to celebrate the return of the sun and the lengthening of days. December is an excellent time to get quiet, reflect, and celebrate. Here’s an easy Cold Moon ritual for introspection and reflection.

How does this spell work?

The color silver represents the Moon. Tonight’s Full Moon ritual will be about opening up intuition and inviting the protective and positive influence of the Goddess. 🌕

The color gold represents the Sun. It symbolizes the strength and confidence of the Sun being reborn in December. It brings warmth, understanding, and energy for growth. ☀️

They will be your guides as you journal and answer questions about this past year. This part of the ritual requires self-reflection and a deeper look inside yourself.

Cast this Cold Moon spell any of the three nights when the Moon is full in December.

Through the ages, the Moon has always identified as a celestial body that links to our emotions. There are many different religions that place an importance on the Moon. These religions range from pagan to organized religion. The moon’s lunar cycle is often used as a way to mark calendars and specific rituals are associated with each moon phase.

Like its natural counterpart, the Sun, the Moon also has a myriad of gods and goddesses linked to it. Not to mention the hundreds of myths and legends centering around the Moon. Have you ever used the phrase, ‘once in a blue moon’ or ‘there must be a full moon tonight’? Well those are a few examples of how the Moon was referred to calculate time and also tied to specific emotions.

So how does any of this relate to Wicca? (Witchcraft most traditions)

The Moon is often associated with the element Water and femininity. One of the most distinct symbols in Wicca that features the Moon is the Triple Moon Goddess. It contains three different phases; the waxing, full and waning moon phases.

A brief run down behind the meaning of this symbol is that it represents the three forms of the Goddess: The Maiden, the Mother and the Crone. When these three are together, it creates the complete experience of Feminine Power. It is a great symbol to use to form a connection with one’s feminine side. Let it be a reminder that everything in life is the way it’s meant to be.

Of course this isn’t a new symbol by any means. Archaeologists discovered a stone sculpture of the Goddess Hecate (Goddess of Magic) depicted as three goddesses in a single entity has been dated back to 5 B.C.E. The Goddess Demeter was also depicted as a tri-goddess throughout various stages of history.

But why are different moon phases important?

There are energies associated with different moon phases. Each one is great for utilizing in specific rituals and spells.

First Quarter Moon

The first quarter moon and third quarter moon phase are similar. They are both illuminated halfway through. This happens because the Sun is side by side with the Moon. The Moon has reached half its power during these two phases. The first quarter phase illuminates on the right side while the third quarter is on the left side.

The first quarter phase is great for inner reflection and taking stock of what is around you. Take the time to celebrate your own achievements. It’s also an excellent time to start planning rituals for the full moon phase. The laws of attracting material objects are strongest during this period too. Manifest these objects by journaling.

Questions to ask include:

What did I do in the past month that I would like to improve on?

What are some decisions that I made that I’ve regretted in the last month?

What can I manifest in the next month that can push myself forward? Either as a person or from the current situation I am in now.

  • Where illness derives from bewitchment, particularly where a hex was cast using some sort of tool like a wax figure,it may be necessary to find and remove the trick for healing to be accomplished. There are also usually specific magickal antidotes and jinx-reversing spells. {These issues are dealt with amongst hexes and their antidotes).

  • In general, one must cast one’s own spell. How every healing spells are unusual in that it;s very likely that someone else just cast the spell on behalf of the ailing person. The Person who needs or  desires the spell may be in   no condition to perform the spell. Most, although not all, healing spells demand the presence and sometimes the participation of the patient however.

  •  Given the opportunity to choose, many traditions assert that the full moon  is the best time to initiate healing-spells because as the moon diminishes, so should pain and illness.

This spell to make someone call you is pretty simple, but you will need a few ingredients to cast it effectively.

Ingredients:

A bay leaf (or piece of paper)

A red candle (you can substitute white if needed)

Your cellphone

A pen

I like to use a tall candle or chime candle for this spell, but you can also use a tea light candle if that’s all you have.

First, always cast a circle before beginning any spell work. Not only does it protect you from negative entities, but it keeps your energy within the circle, making the spell much stronger.

Once the circle is cast, you’re ready to begin your spell work.

Write down the name of the person (who you wish to call you) on the bay leaf using a marker or a pen, then light the candle.

Turn your phone off and flip it over so you can only see the back. Place the bay leaf on top of your phone.

Gather your energy. It can take 10-15 minutest to gather energy energy for a strong spell, so don’t rush this part. I like to use the candle flame to pull energy from, but this is a personal preference.

When you feel ready, focus on your intention and repeat the following chant:

“The desire is strong
You want to call me
You cannot stop it
Do it
Do it
Do it
So mote it be”

Repeat this chant as many times as you feel is needed. I typically say it only once, but you can say it 3 times, 7 times, or as many times as you’d like.

When you’re done, burn the bay leaf in the candle flame then snuff out the candle; use a snuffer instead of blowing the candle out as that effectively blows your spell out.

The spell to make someone call you is now complete: you can close your circle and turn your phone back on.

If you wish to communicate with deceased friends and family, this is the best time of year. The veil thins the night of Samhain, making communication easy. Do NOT, however, entice spirits, disrespect them, or perform any other magic that is anything less than respectful. I repeat, don’t do it. Samhain is also a great time to practice divination in the form of runes, scrying, tarot, tea readings, etc. Reflect over the previous year and perform blessing spells to ring in the new year. Astral projection, lucid dreaming, and hedge riding are also much easier to perform on this night but remember to be safe. Banishing magic, especially those for bad habits, are especially strong on this night.

The ancient Celtic celebration of Samhain (pronounced sow-in), celebrated on October 31st and November 1st, marks the end of our seasonal cycle on the Wheel of the Year. This is why it’s often referred to as the witch’s New Year. Seasonally speaking, Samhain is the third and final harvest of the season or the last rally to store and prepare for the coming Winter season.

This sacred celebration reaches much farther than harvests and is also a time when the veil between the physical and spirit world is at its thinnest. The Celtic people believed that spirits walked among them during this time, so Samhain is accepted as an ideal time to communicate and connect with the spirit realm. Popularized by Wicca, Samhain is a celebration that occurs around the same time as Halloween, All Hallow’s Eve, and Day of the Dead — on or around October 31. This wonderful day is often celebrated as a time to commune with our ancestors and the passing spirits, as the veil between the worlds has become its thinnest. The festival of Samhain is easily most Witches’ favorite Sabbat of the year, a fact we can all agree on.
