How to Cast a Heart Chakra Clearing Spell
Remember intent is 90% of any spell. So keep in mind what you want this spell to do for you as you place the ingredients into the jar and when you are writing. Take as long as you need to make your abundance jar and write what abundance you would like to come into your life. Open this jar on our Litha/Summer Solstice.
3-4-inch-tall glass jar with lid – make sure it has been washed out and rinsed extremely well. Leave it to dry a minimum of 24 hours as it needs to be completely dry.
3 Cinnamon Sticks
3 Dried Pine Cones
3 Pieces of Dried Orange Peel (approximately ½ inch wide by 1 inch long
3 Dried Sprigs of Rosemary
3 Dried Pine Needles (any kind or length will work)
1 Yellow or White Candle (large enough to drip wax completely around where the lid and jar meets to seal the jar)
Matches or Lighter
3 ounces of water – Offer for the 3 Goddesses
3 crackers – Offer for the 3 Gods
1 small piece of paper
Something to write with
Write in detail what you would like to come into the person’s or your life and bring it to fruition by Litha/Summer Solstice.
Place half of the ingredients into the jar in the way that feels right to you.
When the jar is halfway through, place your piece of paper folded in three into the jar.
Then place the rest of the ingredients on top of it in the jar.
Put the lid on the jar screwing down as tightly as you can.
Light your candle when it starts to drip, tip the jar on its side and slowly turn it, allowing the candle to drip on to the spot where the lid and jar meet. Keep turning the jar slowly until it is completely sealed.
REPEAT 3 Times – “I ask the Universe to allow my request to come to fruition
On Litha/the Summer Solstice.
Triple Goddess and Horn God please let this request
I have made go out into the Universe and
come to fruition at Litha/the Summer Solstice.
These are my words! This is my will! So mote it be! (or however
you end your spells.)”

New Year’s Eve holds a promise of renewal and fresh starts, a moment where traditions and superstitions intertwine to guide us towards a promising future. Across the world, different cultures have their own unique customs designed to beckon luck, prosperity, and happiness for the upcoming year. These rituals, varying from simple acts to elaborate ceremonies, have been passed down through generations and often carry significant cultural importance.
Historically, the end of the old year and the beginning of a new one has always been a time ripe with symbolic meaning and ritual. Many of the practices we see today have their roots in ancient civilizations where the passing of time was celebrated with reverence and hope. Over the centuries, these rituals adapted and evolved, mingling with local customs and beliefs to create the rich tapestry of New Year’s celebrations we witness today.
A compelling statistic associated with New Year’s celebrations is the surge in resolutions. Studies show that more than half of the population in many countries will make some form of New Year’s resolution, albeit with varying degrees of success. This reflects the strong human desire for self-improvement and the belief in the power of ritual to instigate personal change. It’s not just resolutions; practices such as eating 12 grapes at midnight in Spain, wearing polka dots to attract wealth in the Philippines, or the Danish tradition of jumping off a chair to “leap” into January are all designed to influence the year ahead positively.
One particularly engaging tradition is the practice of First-Footing, common in Scotland and parts of Northern England. It holds that the first person who crosses the threshold of a home after the stroke of midnight will determine the homeowner’s luck for the new year. Ideally, the first-footer should bring symbolic gifts such as coal, bread, salt, or whisky, representing warmth, food, flavor, and good cheer respectively. This ritual blends the human need for security with the hope for abundance and community spirit.
In Brazil, thousands of revelers dress in white and gather on the beaches to honor Yemoja, the goddess of the sea. Offerings of flowers and floating candles are set adrift on the waves as people jump over seven waves, making a wish with each one. This ritual bridges the connection between human aspirations and the natural world, demonstrating a harmonious wish for the year to come.
A ritual that has gained popularity through the power of social media is the “burning bowl” ceremony. Individuals write down negative aspects or experiences from the past year on pieces of paper and then burn them in a fireproof bowl. This act symbolizes the release of past burdens, allowing space for new growth and experiences.
As the clock winds down on December 31st, many people participate in a quiet moment of reflection. This may not be an organized ritual with specific steps, but this collective introspection across the globe creates a shared experience of anticipation and hope. At this moment, personal goals and dreams for the year ahead come into sharp focus, and the magic of a new beginning is keenly felt by all. This shared humanity, a pause before the clock strikes twelve, encapsulates the magic and potential that New Year’s Eve rituals are meant to invoke.
As we embrace the transition into a new year, the 18 rituals outlined serve as powerful conduits for intention-setting, personal reflection, and manifestation. From the cleansing act of smudging to banish old energies, to the creative vision board that inspires future aspirations, each ritual is a step toward honoring our past experiences while consciously crafting the year ahead. The incorporation of communal festivities such as shared meals and gratitude toasts celebrates the importance of connection and support among loved ones, reinforcing the social aspect of our well-being as we cross the threshold into the New Year.
Correspondences for protection spells include symbolism related to safety and security (lock, keys) elements of the Earth (hiding places like rocks), astrological signs for power (Taurus for steadfast strength, Leo for courage) and colors traditionally associated with purity (white, light blue).
This type of magic attempts to create a bubble around its caster in order to protect them from outside forces; it seeks to promote balance while driving away destruction. You can see why protection magic is so important!
As the veil between the worlds thins and the New Year approaches, it is important to ensure that we are protected from any negative energies or influences. This New Year’s Eve Protection Spell will help to create a bubble of safety and security around you, allowing you to start the new year with a sense of peace and balance.
To begin, gather all the necessary supplies.
By casting this New Year’s Eve Protection Spell, you are setting yourself up for a safe and secure start to the new year.
New Year’s Eve is a liminal time where the energies around us are more susceptible to change. As we look upon a new year full of possibilities and opportunities, it is important to start off the right way. Protecting ourselves, our family, and our space is something essential to do before we commence into the new year.
A New Year’s Eve Protection Spell can be a powerful tool to keep us safe and supported as we let go of the old year and prepare for the future.
Protection spells are powerful rituals that aim to safeguard oneself or one’s home from danger and harm. It is a fairly universal magical rite, often using symbols such as mirrors or images of guardian angels, to channel protective energies and ward off malicious intentions.
This type of spell often involves the use of charms, talismans and incantations; sacred objects like crystals, herbs and special tools may also be used to assist in the spell’s power.

Simply relying on the right color candle, correct incense or special herbs to work their magic will leave you wondering what you left out. The special ingredient you may have left out is YOU!
I decided to write this book because our website received so many emails over the years from beginners complaining that they had followed a spell EXACTLY as it was written, and it failed to work. They wanted to know what they were doing wrong. Like most of us, they had seen movies or TV shows that suggested having the right combination of colored candles, special herbs, oils and magical words would solve their financial or relationship problems. They did not understand that the ingredients in their spell was only a small part of the process.
Most books on casting spells only give you half of the information you really need. You are given lists of ingredients and action steps, but no explanation of how or why these spells really work. The Universal Laws that govern the results are not clearly explained and the new practitioner is left with only a vague understanding of what they are doing.
This is a problem, as those who are truly interested in manifesting their desires are not adding the most important ingredient, or worse yet, they are adding the wrong ingredient. That ingredient is the personal energy that they send out. This is what the Universe will ultimately respond to.
Personal energy is the key ingredient in all spells. If you have ever asked your mom or a friend for a recipe because you wanted to make the same meal they made, only to have that recipe fail when you tried to duplicate it, you probably understand what I am talking about. Even when you follow their recipe exactly as it was written, it never seems to turn out the same for you. Their personal touch will always be missing. A good cook will simply add a little of his or her energy to the recipe and make it their own.
Like a favorite recipe, sometimes you may need to modify a spell just a little to make it work for you. Changing the color of a candle or using a different scent of incense will not make the Divine angry or cause the Universe to ignore you. If you are sending out thoughts and feelings that are positive and full of gratitude, your spells will always return positive results.
If you already have a shelf full of spell books and have collected all the right ingredients for a spell, that’s great! But if you are just starting out or are missing what seems to be key ingredients, don’t let it be a major concern. The Universe will be responding to YOU, not your collection of herbs, oils or crystals.

Any object you will be using on your altar during rituals or when doing spells should be an object used just for magickal workings. These objects become Magickal Tools after being consecrated to be used just for rituals.
To consecrate an object first cleanse it of all energy that it holds or is sticking to it from other people handling it.
After the objects are cleansed cast a sacred circle. Lay all items in a row on the surface you are using as an altar. Each item should be blessed and consecrated individually.
Call upon either the God and Goddess you feel the most comfortable working with or Hecate (Goddess of Witches, Home and Hearth, one name for the Triple Goddess) and the Horned God. The Horned Gods to aspects are the Oak King who reigns between the Summer and Winter Solstices or the Oak King who reigns between Winter and Summer Solstices.
While making the sign of the pentagram above each object a simple incantation will work such as:
I call upon ______ and ______ to bless and consecrate this _________
to be used to in any magick I work and/or ritual I perform.
I ask Spirit, Air, Water, Fire and Earth to bless and consecrate this _________
to be used in any magick and/or ritual I perform.
So mote it be.

Of course, you know you are beautiful, don’t you? You can feel your inner beauty radiating outward, lighting up your face, making your skin glow, and creating that irrepressible twinkle in your eyes.
Just to make sure, say these words to yourself when checking the mirror,
“I am so beautiful, this I know,
And I will shine wherever I go.
I praise myself because I am lovely,
I love myself because I am worthy.
As I speak, so must it be”
These words also incorporate the magickal and effective Switchword, ‘Praise’. Don’t worry about being embarrassed at being the focus of this spell. The aim is for you to be confident. Once you’ve said the words, you can forget them for the rest of the day. The spell is working.
This is a very simple spell that relies on the Switchwords, ‘Together Reach’ to achieve the desired result. You might have lost an object or you might be trying to find the right word or forgotten name. This little chant will free up the stuck energy to help you remember.
You can substitute the word ‘thing’ in the following chant for whatever you have mislaid, like ‘pen’, or ‘keys’.
“Thing that I’ve lost come to me
Together reach and I’ll find thee.”
As you speak, imagine the relief when you find/remember it.
Whenever you are feeling a bit under the weather, or a little achy, say these words.
“Strength of mind and strength of bone,
I claim these things to be my own.”
Repeat three times as often as you need to throughout the day.
Don’t forget to add, “As I speak, so must it be.”
Sometimes, we cannot know what the best outcome of any situation might be. For example, when a pet is old and ill, maybe the best thing for it is to pass on quickly. Trying to keep the pet alive may not really be a good thing. So, when in doubt as to when to act or when to let go, simply ask the Universe to deliver the best outcome. Speak these words,
You can turn this one into a full ritual, or you can just speak the words. For example, this is a good spell to start your witchy life. Asking for love and protection is never a bad thing.
So if you want to go the whole way and cast a circle, then do that. However, as implied, the spell itself creates a bubble of protection, so it isn’t really necessary.
This spell relies on visualization and the certain knowledge that it is working.
If you wish to cast a circle, do it right at the beginning. Sit down quietly and start to imagine a pinpoint of light above your home. Visualize the point of light expanding so that a curtain of light slowly falls over the building you’re in, encircling it like a half-sphere. If you have vehicles outside, include those too. Then keep going. The light goes into the solid ground all around until it forms a perfect bubble. It shimmers and wavers, but you know it is absolutely impenetrable by negative energy of any kind.
For this spell, all you need is a small, much-loved object. Could be a special piece of jewelry, a small teddy bear, or a pretty ornament. Doesn’t matter what it is, as long as it is special for you.
Before you go to bed, place it near you, perhaps on your nightstand.
When you wake up in the morning, clasp the item, and feel the energy flowing through it and through you. Feel happiness building inside you.
Whisper these words:
“As within me, and so without
Let this day begin, no doubt
That fun and delight will be all about.
And as I say it, so must it be, and let it harm none.”
Now put the object on your windowsill until the evening. Repeat daily.
The most powerful magick is when you devise it yourself. Performing someone else’s spell is exactly that, a performance. Whereas if you put thought, effort and creativity into designing your spell, it’s yours and only yours. So I encourage you to use these ideas as mere frameworks, upon which you’ll hang your own unique touches.
You can write them into your Book of Shadows and each time you use them, you can change them a little bit.
What’s so good about using spells and magick in everyday life? Well, because you can. Once you have mastered the trick of tapping into your emotions and desire at will to raise the energy, then you might as well make the most of it and live an enhanced, enchanted, always surprising, lovely witchy life.
Now that doesn’t mean that you won’t have to deal with bad stuff occasionally. We all have to. No one can sail through unscathed or untouched by negativity. And I promise you, you wouldn’t want to. The contrast of the not-so-nice times helps you appreciate the great times. Without the dark, you wouldn’t be grateful for the light.
I just have to mention once more, that any spell will not be effective unless you put the effort of energetic emotion into it. So before you start, make sure you know what emotion is necessary. Think about what you want to achieve and feel it into reality. Hold that feeling and work your magick.

LOVE SPELL WARNING: Love spells such as this one take the person who you want to love you free will/spirit away. What happens with a spell like this is the person will become obsessed with you to the point of possibly losing their job, which in turn can make them lose their home, automobile, friends, their family, etc. I have heard of people under love spells dying from not eating or drinking when they are not in the presence of the spellcaster 24/7/365. So, unless you want some who only loves you because of a spell you put on them then go for it. But if you want someone to love you because they feel that emotion towards you then please do not do this spell. The same warning goes for animals, birds, reptiles, or anything else that has a heart and can create a bond with someone.

With so many types of spells out there, it’s tough to figure out where to start. Glamour spells have been used by witches for centuries, but they aren’t the most well-known types of spells by any means.
Because glamour spells are generally underground, there aren’t many spells on Google or Pinterest that are readily available. I’m hoping that this post will provide you with some simple glamour spell ideas that work.
In magic, a glamour is a veil that hides what’s underneath. A glamour spell brings out one’s natural beauty while hiding those less-than-desirable aspects.
When you’re casting a glamour spell, you can either personally choose the aspects that you want to enhance or you can simply visualize beauty and let the spell choose.
A glamour spell typically doesn’t last that long. I find that most glamour spells I cast will last for a full day or so. I tend to cast glamour spells when I really need them which is mainly for special events.
I personally use glamour spells to appear more like who I truly feel I am inside. I don’t use them to run from myself, but I do have specific aspects of myself that I like more than others, and enhancing those aspects gives me confidence.
I recommend casting a glamour spell anytime you want to enhance your natural beauty. This might be when you feel a bit down, when you want to attract someone, when you’re going into a social situation you feel nervous about, or before a big night or event.
Sometimes, you may just want to cast a glamour spell for fun. All 3 of these glamour spells are relatively harmless, so go for it!
I don’t recommend that you cast a glamour spell if you feel at odds with yourself. A glamour spell is most effective when you harness your inner power and believe in yourself, but you first need to have some level of self-love.
A glamour spell isn’t likely to cause any type of negative karma, but it can bring out the effects you most hate in yourself if it’s cast with a negative or self-deprecating attitude.
Glamour spells have been around for a long time. Before makeup and cosmetic modifiers were available to everyone, glamour spells were primary method of beauty modification.
In fact, makeup, botox, hair products, etc. are all forms of glamour spells. While witches in the 1200’s used herbs or chants for increase beauty, we use cosmetics.
Glamour spells are timeless and well-practiced for a reason: they work!
Here are 3 very simple glamour spells that are effective for both beginner and advanced students of witchcraft. If you choose to cast a circle during your practice, make sure to go ahead and do that before beginning these spells.

(this is a spell to send bad vibrations back to their source).
Hand Mirror
Black Candle
Incense
Black string
Bell
Call the Spirits to witness the rite using the bell. Say:
“I am immune to their hate, their malice.
I will not accept their guilt or their intolerance.
Their words and thoughts are no bane to me.”
Hold the mirror behind the candle and say:
“As this mirror reflects back the light of this candle
so shall these things be reflected back to their sender(s)
and as the mirror neither adds or detracts from the reflection
I shall add no malice to nor subtract any from that which I send back.
As it comes to me so shall it return to them.”
Tie the black string in three knots. As you tie each knot say:
“With this string I bind this spell, As I will it, So mote it be.”
Dismiss the spirits. Let the candle and incense burn out on their own.
Place the string in a special box set aside for spells and leave it there always.
