This true love must be hungry and thirsty…lol. I hope you get as much of a laugh out of this version of an old song while singing it as I did composing it. This can be a recipe for chicken soup or add a few more veggies leave the chicken out for vegetable soup add either noodles or rice which you prefer and season to taste.

In Memory of WOTC Founder Lady of the Abyss

I type this with tears flowing because I still think about our Lady Abyss everyday. I have her picture on my desk and ask her for guidance often with the website. I had very few people in my life that helped and guided me as a sister and friend as much as she did when I was lost after my mother crossed in 2015. Lady A has touched the hearts and minds of so many people both face to face and through WOTC. She would find time to reply to emails from people needing help or just to say hi to her.

Her and I had a running joke that she twisted my arm hard to come out of retirement and once again help people who want to learn about witchcraft, and/or attend an online coven gathering. She comes to me in my dreams and first kicks my ass for even thinking of throwing in the towel on WOTC than gives me a pep talk about all the people I have helped become a safe practicing witch.

I am thankful for all the years I got to know and love our Lady. I am trying to keep WOTC the kind of website she would be proud of. I might not have everything posted every day that she had but I am trying to do my best for her and all of you dear Sisters, Brothers, and Guests. Am I succeeding?

Being strong is not something that was always clear to me, it is something that I learned along the way, in moments where I had no other option.

I remember when everything seemed to fall apart. The expectations I had for life were not met and the people I trusted the most disappointed me. It was there that I understood that I couldn’t depend on others to feel complete or safe. I learned that true strength is born when you face loneliness, and instead of feeling weak, you decide to turn that loneliness into your ally.

Life taught me that pain is not an enemy. He taught me that crying does not make you less strong, on the contrary, it gives you the ability to feel deeply and heal. In every tear lies a lesson, a reminder that, after the storm, calm always comes.

Being strong is not about keeping quiet about what hurts you, it is about speaking firmly about your fears and accepting them. It’s not about pretending that everything is fine, it’s about accepting that there are bad days, but not letting those days define you.

I have learned that it is not about not falling, but about how you get up. And you don’t always do it immediately, sometimes it takes time, but the important thing is not to stay on the ground. I have fallen many times, I have stumbled over my own mistakes and the difficulties that life has put in front of me, but each time I have gotten up more confident in who I am.

Being strong is understanding that self-love is the basis of everything. You can’t expect others to fill the gaps that only you can fill. I learned to be my best friend, to be kind to myself on my worst days, and to celebrate every little achievement, because it’s those moments that remind me how much I’ve grown.

What taught me to be strong was life itself, with all its imperfections and challenges. And although I still have a lot to learn, I know that as long as I maintain that inner strength, I can handle anything that comes.

A Note From Lady Carla Beltane

I woke up this morning crying from dreams filled with happy and not so happy memories. From being about 6 or 7 years old playing hockey and working on cars with my dad, birthday March 25, 1934, who crossed on April 1, 1970 very suddenly to my familiar/emotional support/companion dogs Princess Starbabie, 11 years 11 1/2 months old, dying in my arms February 21, 2024 and Drama Queen Cleopatra JAWS, 15 years 5 weeks, going into eternal sleep April 1, 2024. All these dates within 6 weeks and spanning 54 years caught up with me. I am very sad and in a lot of physical pain between a Fibromyalgia flare, arthritis, and my right knee injury I’m not having a good day so far at as all so this and the Daily and Birthday Horoscopes Traits posts will be the only ones today. If I start feeling better emotionally and mentally later I will do the rest of the regular daily posts. The positive happening is Crystal Moon is trying her hardest to make “mom” feel better. I am grateful to have her in our lives. She is training for emotional and physical balance support. She has become for the day we got her to show she is my familiar and loves being present in any circle I work magick in, sitting very quietly unless I ask her to add her beautiful energy to a spell. I do not look at her as a replacement for Star or Cleo but as a gift from them to help and guide as they had. I see some of each of them in her attitude and mannerisms.

The Best Yule EVER!!

It a miserable or beautiful night, depending on your point of view, before Yule as the snow fell heavy and a howling wind could be heard, as it had been going on since noon. The animals were all sleeping in front of the empty fireplace which was waiting for the Yule log that might not be possible this year. The cat had even quit chasing the mouse.
Mom was in the kitchen putting her final loving touch on all that she had made for our Winter Solstice feast next day. Keeping an eye on the children through the archway.
Dad was in his recliner telling a tale or two about elves, unicorns, fairies and dragons. The kids listened closely as they all sip their tea and each had just one of their favorite cookie trying to stay awake on couches and pillows. The tea and dad’s stories were working their magick along with mom’s softly humming a magickal lullaby. They were finally falling asleep wherever they were in the family room.
When out on the lawn they heard a happy, loud sing in amongst the other many other familiar noises. They all jumped up and ran to the windows to see who was there. Even the twins Elliot and Asher who were almost 1 getting to celebrating their very first Yule. When what to their wandering, sleepy eyes should appear through the storm but their wildlife friends the bears and deers, wood nymphs, and gnomes trudging through the blizzard with their Yule log! The children rejoiced to see their friends and the all-important Yule log that helps to welcome the Oak King and bids the Holly King a good rest. Dad had said just that afternoon, “The storm is too ferocious to bring in the Yule log from the forest this year.
Triple Goddess and her Consorts had heard the children’s chant, ” Triple Goddess please bring us a Yule log to light the way for your son and consort the mighty Oak King as he is born and to bid the tired Holly King a good rest. It helps us bring the Sun back to shine more on Mother Earth.” This wasn’t really a chant or sung on key or even close to being a tune. But the Goddess and her Consorts had heard it being sung from their hearts with their parent’s inner children joining in. It was in answer to that chant that they had found a way to get it to them.
As all the friends came into the family room, yes even the deers and bears that had carried the Yule log from the forest to their door were welcomed inside for a drink and cookie. After the guests had been thanked for their help and everyone was done with their Yule snack all their friends slowly left to go to their homes or dens or wherever they lived the children could be heard shouting, “This is going to be the best Yule ever!!!”
Mom and dad tucked them in bed reminding them to thank the Triple Goddess, Oak and Holly King for answering their chant to get them their Yule log. As the children fell asleep their mom and dad decorated the big family room/kitchen with Pine, Holly, and Mistletoe than they laid Yule log just so in the fireplace to be lit when the awoke the children at midnight. They would be leaving their offerings of sweet wine, bread, pastries, and sweets to the retiring Holly King, the newborn Oak King, and the Triple Goddess on the front porch before they partook in the light feast that would sustain them until noon the next day when they would again put offerings from their meal out for the Goddess and newborn Oak King. Singing, dancing, a few games and presents would be exchanged than the best part of all dad telling them the story of the rebirth of the Oak King, the Holly King crossing the veil to be reborn at the Summer Solstice and how the Triple Goddess bids them farewell and welcomes them again as their time comes with the turn of the wheel of the year.
Mom and Dad put out an invitation to all their friends to return for the lighting of the Yule log they had brought that stormy winter night. As they went to their bed for a few hours’ sleep they could be heard echoing their children from a couple of hours ago, “Our thanks to the Triple Goddess and her Consorts the Oak and Holly King. Thanks to all our woodland friends especially the deer and bears who carried our Yule log to us, gnomes, and wood nymphs that helped to make THIS IS THE BEST YULE EVER!!!”
Thank you for your caring support through the good and bad times in my life this year as there were quite a few ups and downs. The best thing was Big Dwag and I getting married on June 21st. The worst thing was for her own comfort putting Dreamer into her eternal rest.

What being a Pagan Witch means to Me?

When I began practicing witchcraft is was just to do spells to try and change things in my life it wasn’t a spiritual walk. As time went on and I studied with first a coven and then as a solitary my views changed. I saw it as a way to help others not just myself. Slowly over the years I came more and more to the spiritual aspect of it until the spiritual overtook the magickal part. The spiritual part started awakening abilities that I was born with.

I have been a spirit talker since about the age of three years old and guide by my mom who also was born with this ability. It was very scary this first time I saw and talked with the spirit of my paternal grandfather who had crossed many, many years before I was even thought of. My mom came in and told my grandpa he should have come to her again first and she would have introduced us before he came directly to me.

Merry Meet Dear Sisters, Brothers, and Friends, Welcome to WOTC! A Thought for Today

Whether you are in or out or partly out of the broom closet remember the only person that needs to be concerned with your spiritual path is you!

May your path be blessed with whatever you want out of it. You are the one in charge of which gods and/or goddesses you choose to make offerings to and work with. You are the one in charge of what you put out into the universe through wishes or spells or rituals or any combination of these. It is your wants and wills that are the center of your spiritual and magicakal path. Even if you are in a coven ultimately it is you who decides to participate in what the coven does or not. 

Personally, over my 40 + years of following the Goddess who goes by many names including but not limited to The Great Mother/Mother Earth/Gaia and the God who goes by many names including but not limited to Horned God/The Great Father/Odin. Over the years I slowly and then fully came out of the broom closet in most areas of my life the one place I do not put it out there much that I am a pagan and witch is when I am with family. Basically, my family knows loosely what type of spiritual path I choose to follow but it is not brought up and I wear alternative amulets instead of a pentacle when I am with them or keep my pentacle under my shirt.

Why do I do this? So, unlike many of the Christians in my family, I do not feel I have to have an outward sign of any kind to be true to my spiritual path. My path is a personal one even though I lead a coven of my apprentice. As I tell them we are a coven of solitary witches who come together to talk about our lives or our spiritual paths or magickal workings and for the 8 Sabbats. A few months ago, in our monthly chat a novice brought this topic it up and it was refreshing to hear how others feel about it and why they come out to some people but not others. So, I asked myself does it take away from me walking a pagan path to just saying that I do? No, I do not feel that by me being in the shadow of the wide-open broom closet door when with family deteriorates what I feel and the path I choose to follow spiritually and magickly.

Hello,

Work is going slow as I am not having a good day in every part of my being. Star’s body ashes come home today. She has not left either mine or Bid Dawg’s aura since she passed away. I miss our little girl so very much and still trying to process her very sudden dying. So, please continue to bear with me as I post slowly today. I apologize for not getting anything up for the Snow Full Moon. Thank each of you for your support and understanding as we go through this period of mourning and grief. This post is only going up for the WOTC FAmily and Friends as there are no key or tag words attached to it.

All the regular posts for Tuesday, February 27, 2024 are ready to go for tomorrow. I don’t know what my emotional state will be later today and tomorrow because of bring our Starbabie’s ashes home this afternoon. Plus, my fibromyalgia, as those who suffer with it know, has been in a extreme flare since Star’s passing. We were able to resuscitate her twice but when her heart stop again as we were in our car to go to an emergency vet office, we were unable to bring her back. We did not have a necropsy done on her but as she has she had foamy blood pouring from her nose the vet tech and our vet agreed with us that she was bleeding in her lungs from a broken blood vasal and drowned in her own blood. This is not easy for me to type as tears run down my face but so many of you have sent us condolences, I thought I should share with you everything that happened that completely horrible night. She passed about 10:15 PM CST. We have both been having dark dreams about that night as it was very traumatizing for us both. Star’s death came as a complete shock as she was a healthy girl, eating and drinking just hours before she died. I miss my ESA and astral traveling familiar. We both miss our loving, cuddle bug companion. She always had kisses for us and was ready to share her calming, loving personality.

Starbabie may your trip across the Rainbow Bridge come when you want to go but you are always welcome to visit us day or night. Blessing of happiness to you dearest Star.

My coven will be doing a crossing ceremony for her on Saturday, March 30th which would have been her 12-earth birthday and will now be her 1st spirit birthday. If you would like to attend, please email me at ladybeltane@witchesofthecraft.com with the reason why you want to be with us. Thank you.

A Happy and Joyous Solstice Dear WOTC Family and Friends!!

I was thinking in the middle of the night when all three of our fur kids, Cleo, Star, and Merlin, woke me up for cuddles that you might enjoy knowing how I celebrate the Winter Solstice and Yule. If you would like to use an idea from here, please do.

I’ll start with the Solstice because it’s a little more in depth than our Yule celebration. About 2 minutes before sunset, I light a black 4-inch candle to bid the Holly King a restful slumber and thank him for what he has helped me during this wheel of the year. I place a small black or dark blue piece of material over his statue to symbolize his passing. I mourn with the Triple Goddess for the lost of this consort I meditate and let my mind wander to all I want to let go of and speak it to the candle to burn it away. I sit until the candle has burned down to a small stub usually about 1/2-inch is left I snuff it out so as not to release the negative energy it holds into our home or the universe. I take the small stub of the candle and in the moonlight, I bury it on the west side of our yard as far away from our home as possible with all the negative things I ask Mother Earth it to take all negativity I may still unknowingly be harboring from me for her to renew and reuse however she sees fit to do with the energy.

Then I completely clear my altar and use the small broom I have to sweep away to the west all the negative energy that might have been left after doing spell and ritual since Samhain. I sweep off all the items that had been on my altar also so everything is clean and shiny to welcome the Oak King.

I then set up my altar to welcome the rebirth of the Oak King and to rejoice his rebirth with his mother /consort the Triple Goddess. Now I only have one statue to represent the Holly and the Oak King. When I place this statue back on my altar, I place a white piece of material around it like a swaddled baby to represent the Oak Kings rebirth. About 1 minute before the exact time the Winter Solstice “officially” begins I light a 4-inch white candle to help the birthing of the Oak King and for RA to honor him for bring the Sun back for longer days. After welcoming the Oak King and thanking RA I meditate on the candle speaking to it the goals I have set for myself for the coming calendar year. Once it has burnt down to about a 1/2-inch I blow it out to release my goals to the universe with a chant to please help me achieve them. I bury this on the east side of our yard close to our home in the morning as the first rays of sunlight are showing in the sky. I ask Mother earth to hold my goals so I can revisit the spot I have bury the candle stub in when I feel I may not achieve them.

This year my main goal is to write a short story on Esbats, New Moon one or two but one for every Full Moon, and each Sabbat as the wheel of the year turns. My second goal is to quit smoking cigarettes, eat less red meat and other things high in the bad fats as my cholesterol level is so high, I am on 2 different medications for it and am in very real danger of having a stroke. Will I completely achieve these goals? I’m not sure but if I just break them down into pieces to do each month there is an excellent chance that I will completely achieve my goals for 2024. I actually start the short stories with Yule as I follow the Celtic Tree calendar and tradition that the new year starts on Samhain.

Now for our Yule celebration I fix a nice meal, or we may even go to a favorite restaurant for supper. We come home light our Yule/Christmas tree exchange gifts, riminess about the preceding year which had many real high ups, our legal marriage, the birth of my 10th grandchild and a few very low downs, putting our beloved Dreamer into eternal sleep. Then I get into my favorite pair of pjs, curl about with which ever fur kids want to join me to watch Its a Wonderful Life. Then the fur kids and I will watch The Nightmare Before Christmas which always makes me laugh. Big Dawg goes in the other room and does whatever on his laptop while I binge on movies until it is time to celebrate the rebirth of the Oak King. This may sound pretty simplistic, but it works for us. Big Dawg and most of my children with their families celebrate Christmas. Along with a daughter-in-law who celebrates Hanukkah with my son, who is Christian, and their two boys, this is another home in my family that celebrates 2 different holidays in December and a couple of other times during the year. What this means for me is a lot of family stuff in one month, but I enjoy the diversity of spiritual paths in my family.

Now that this post has gone from a simple few lines to as a friend referred to an email he sent as his “War and Peace” that’s fits this post…ROFL! Thank you Owen Firewolf for this fantastic way to describe long posts!!

Lady Beltane will be gone until Sunday, April 23rd

I am totally exhausted heart, mind, and spirit. I need some time away to decide if I want to continue working about 7 – 9 hours a day, 7 days a week, for approximately $0.33 per hour or not. Posting is just one part of what I do daily. I also answer emails from people and my students, I hold monthly chats and Sabbat gatherings with my students as well. This is that part of my duty that gives me I great joy to do! Then there is the magazine that I put out on my own.
Add in our Dreamer who is rapidly declining in her quality of life, housework, and everything else I have going on with no real days off in almost 2 years which is leading me to somekind of breakedown. I am bone tired and ready to just quit the world for a few days.
I am going to take the next few days to decide where I am going from here if I can keep doing WOTC just as a labor of love because I made a promise to Lady Abyss to carry on her work or if I am going to put it up for sale. See you in a few days when I make my decision and we know if Dreamer is going to her eternal rest or not.

A Thought for Today – An Idea I Use to Help Stop an Anxiety/Panic Attack

I have had people suggest that I start posting some original things instead of copying and pasting from other website so much. So, I decided to give it a try by sharing something that helps to calm me down sometimes when I am going into an anxiety attack.

I am not sure if you will see the Fairy wing in this picture that I do. This is along some unused, old railroad tracks about 1/4 of a block away from my home. I walk these tracks often looking, listening, and immersing myself in all nature has to offer me on any given day.

Yesterday as I walked along I kept being drawn back to this spot and until I quietly sat on the railroad tracks and opened myself up for any message a spirit guide, ancestor, animal spirit guide, gods, goddesses, archangels, Wee Folk or other beings had for me I was not able to hear them. It is a home for woodland Spirits, Fairies, Pixies, and Nymphs. I cannot adequately describe the feelings going through me and the gratitude I felt that Fae Folk decided to let me know where their home base was here.

When I lived in Lisle Fairies and beings that work with Funa and Flora had a home right next to the vegetable garden I planted by myself for fifteen years. Unfortunately, one of the ways I allowed this abuser (a different one than the one I just got the fantastic divorce, I foolishly allowed myself to remain in this relationship for 19 years but more on this another day) to get to me was by putting Miracle Grow in the my starter seeds without telling me and then spraying the garden in 2017, whereas I had always kept it as a pure organic garden from 2002 until that fateful summer. I even made a corner near the garage and garden into a compost pile which I would spread over the garden after Samhain and cover that with leaves from a beautiful Red Maple he had cut down. Neighbors would always try to figure out how without using unnatural fertilizer in my garden that I got a larger harvest than they did. I could not and would not tell them about the Wee Folk that helped my garden to flourish. No need to tell all of you the Wee Folk left because the chemicals stepped into their home and the garden never did well again.

To thank the Wee Folk, I would make them tiny fairy cakes served with warm milk and butter I made from heavy cream. I would place it about 12 inches from their home hidden under a small raspberry bush. They also got all put 2 of the raspberries every season and all the Mulberries they wanted, before he cut down the largest, most convenient for them to get to Mulberry tree.

Why did he keep cutting down healthy tree? Mainly because he knew I could feel the spirits living in each of them and loved having a beautiful backyard to sit in under shade if I wanted to or in the Sun. Cleo and Star enjoyed that backyard as it was fenced in, and they could go wherever they wanted to in it. He stopped this too by fertilizing the lawn with weed and feed.

Sorry got off on a tangent. If I can catch an anxiety attack I start walking along the tracks until I feel this is where I should stop for now. Then I just breath in the scents of the woods around me. Listen to all the different birds chatting with each other. Take time to notice what is starting to bud or lose its leaves depending on the season. For me this is a place of quite and a safety net of sorts. I would like to suggest to other that get anxiety or panic attacks to find someone to walk and/or sit and just enjoy the feast for all our senses that Gaia/Mother Earth gives us so freely. I almost always have something to drink with me as I never know if I’m going to be gone from our home for 5 minutes or maybe an hour, as I lose all track of time when I am in a wooded area and enjoying it. Before I leave where I choose to sit and feast I pour some or most of the non-acholic beverage out in the wood area to thank Gaia/Mother Earth for once again soothing my nerves.

Morning Wiccan Prayer Pagan Daily Spell for Gratitude

GOOD MORNING, dear Sisters, Brothers, and Honored Guests

I woke up with a glorious feeling the birds singing and a little later Ra out in his full, beautiful glory this morning knowing that the biggest stressors in my life are a thing in the past. First night in I cannot remember when I did not have even a inkling of a nightmare from PSTD. I can now move forward with letting go of the numerous abusive, in one way or another, relationships behind me and work to come to truly believe I did not cause them. To be fair I did choose to stay in those relationships so part of the reason I deal with PSTD does land on my shoulders. Today I awoke at 4:30 AM CDT because I had fell asleep about 7 PM CDT last night because I really crashed, again the first time in a very long time, from adrenaline leaving my body which means my fibromyalgia symptoms are better than they have been in many of years.

So, I decided I deserve a day of celebrating that fact that my new life with Big Dawg, my fiancée, can really and truly begin! It is still going to take me some time to fully appreciate and feel deserving of a man who loves me unconditionally, who is willing to watch out for my physical safety and protect me from things I cannot protect myself from. If this sounds un feministic so, be it but it is how I feel. I can give him my whole heart in love, companionship, and everything that goes with it without worrying that it is just a facade to keep me being his maid, lover, dog walker, ectara. He may not be a witch or pagan but he fully supports my choice of spiritual path as I do his as a Christian. We live in a small 4 room home which doesn’t afford me having a special room set aside to work and practice my magickal and spiritual path but when I am doing something with my students like our monthly chat and Sabbath gatherings or even if it is just a phone call he will go into the bedroom and shut the door. A little insider info he has done private rituals and in our own way we celebrate the Sabbaths.

Anyway, about today’s regular and extra posts. I will be doing horoscopes (BTW April 12th’s birthday horoscope is up now on the 12th), Moon phase, planetary positions, correspondences, spell, and divination. The divination post will be tarot cards, rune, witches rune, and ogham is because I am curious what these are saying to me as well as you today. No early Friday posts will be up. Tomorrow I will be going back to me regular posting schedule. I apologize to my southern hemisphere readers that so much information is being skipped over or coming up to late to maybe of no use to you for yesterday,  today, and tomorrow. YOur Saturday information will be available on your Saturday morning.

Well, I want more than a hand full of people to see what the magazine offers. I am also going to go to 4 times a year issues covering the seasons and whatever Sabbaths full in it. There will be no free issues of the quarterly magazine that is why I am putting the Beltane/Samhain and Litha/Yule issues up on WOTC. Giving Honor To Gaia/Mother Earth Every day

I have never understood once I started walking a spiritual path that allows me to live in more harmony with Mother Earth and all living thigs on and inside her why only 1 day every year is called Earth Day. Don’t get me wrong if this one day brings more awareness to people about how we rape and pillage the planet we live on than it is worth the yearly celebration.

I feel we as Pagans and Witches have a duty to help Mother Earth every day of every year. It can be something as simple as taking a small bag with you on walks to pick up the trash others are too lazy to get rid of properly. The smokers who throw the filters of their cigarettes on the ground to me should be horsed whip. I mean how hard is it to put the cigarette out get rid of any tobacco left in it than stick the filter in your pocket until they find a proper waste receptacle? I am a smoker and even when out in my own yard I do this. Yes, I am on my soapbox right now asking you to be part of the solution to the raping and pillage of Mother Earth instead of part of those who don’t give a damn how they treat her.

I challenge everyone who can go outside and take w walk to become the custodian of a two-block area or more around your home to take a walk as weather permits and wear plastic or rubber gloves and pick up any trash you see. I suggest taking at least to plastic or paper grocery bags with you on you first walk and I think you will be amazed at all the trash small and larger pieces you will find. The challenge to those that are homebound because of weather or a disability to put up a post on your social media account asking that the people you are friends with on their pickup discarded things and throw them away properly. If enough of do this post and ask our friends to re-post, we stand a good chance of going viral. Just think of all the good we can do for Mother Earth, wildlife, children, and our external living environment by doing this.

I chose to honor Lady Abyss’ memory this week by reposting some of her wisdom, humor, and the fount of inspiration her posts brought to so many of us. I have decided that she share so much information over the years to dedicate every Sunday to bring some of those posts to light again because of the excellent things we can learn about witchcraft from WOTC’s founder and my muse to continue her work for the Goddess. To that end you will be able to read some of the posts that are from way back in our archives. So, I decide I am going to honor her memory by reposting Lady A’s original posts for some of our regular daily posts. She was a virtual font of knowledge. As I can afford it, I want to purchase some of the books she used for posts on WOTC.

For those of you who have joined the WOTC family after about the middle of June 2019 did not have the pleasure of knowing her, so I am going to tell you a little about this fantastic lady and witch.

Lady A founded WOTC in 2004 when the world wide web was just opening to individuals to start websites. She once told me that the Goddess had called her to do this work and so she did. She was all alone posting about witchcraft when she started out. Because she came so forcibly out of the broom closet back in the day, she received numerous hate mails and even death threats throughout her 20 some years bring the Goddess’ message to people around the world. She received the last death threat a mere month before she crossed the veil. One of the main groups that kept threatening her was ISIS. Much to her dismay she found out there were members of that group only about 20 miles from where she lived in Kentucky.

She was born as far as I remember her telling in the hills of eastern Kentucky but moved to around the center of the state as a young woman. Her style of witchcraft stemmed from her birthplace and family.

May she continue to walk by my side and help me bring meaningful things about witchcraft and life to you for however many years I have left to run this website.

So, I decide I am going to honor her memory by reposting Lady A’s original posts for some of our regular daily posts. She was a virtual font of knowledge. As I can afford it, I want to purchase some of the books she used for posts on WOTC.

For those of you who have joined the WOTC family after about the middle of June 2019 did not have the pleasure of knowing her, so I am going to tell you a little about this fantastic lady and witch.

I was posting on WOTC for about 3 months until she talked me into opening my own website, covenlife.co, which I ran along with opening a witchcraft school on the website starting in I think 2014 or early in 2015. In May of 2019 Lady A had WOTC up for sale. We were talking on the phone one day shortly after and I told her I would love to take over WOTC but in no way had the money she was asking for it. Lady A totally surprised me by asking if I had WOTC would I keep it going in honor of the Goddess and continue the work she had started to help stop the hater towards witches because of the extremely bad reputation witches caused my movies, books, and most of all history (think of the Burning Times). I said I would and bam she gave me WOTC but if I ever went to dark magic only, she would shut the site down. Shutting it down meant all her hard work and knowledge would be lost. I did practice the dark side of Magick for a couple of years when I was in my late teens but have been a white/gray witch since 1978 which comes out to roughly 45 years.

Lady A was my mentor, dear friend, and heart sister. Looking at her death certificate closer than I could before I found out they only had a probable cause of death because there was no autopsy performed. She was cremated and I have no idea whether one of her two children or her estranged husband have the ashes. She was not give any type of “funeral” services. When I found out about her crossing in November of 2019 it was by accident while researching her contact information on the internet. I was in shock and heartbroken that no one had told me of her crossing. I only found out because it was time to fully change WOTC from her information to mine. I do know I spoke to her on the phone less than 24 hours before she crossed and she sounded fine. We were talking about how I had to make WOTC mine while still doing the Goddess’ work she was called to do a couple of decades before. I had only been running WOTC about a month when she crossed. This is hard for me to share going on 4 years later. I have the picture you see above on the wall next to my desk so when I get stuck or don’t feel like posting I can talk with her. Quite often I get an answer to what is troubling me and not just with WOTC. Her and I still rejoice when things are going well in my life, and she is there to kick me in the butt when needed also. At times I can feel her hovering next to me and it is a totally wonderful feeling.

I will be doing reposts here and there when this week is over because of the excellent things we can learn about witchcraft from WOTC’s founder and my muse for it, Lady of the Abyss. May she continue to walk by my side and help me bring meaningful things about witchcraft and life to you for however many years I have left to run this website.

I will add more to this story another day right now the tears of my memories of Lady A are making it hard to see my keyboard plus I do not want to get it wet.

 

Why No Regular Posts Some Days?

In case you have or are wondering why Lady Beltane does not post some days, I am here to explain that.

I am a firm believer that if my energy is not positive due to mental or physical or spiritual unease and is therefore negative. So, I will not post as that negative energy will go into whatever I am typing and posting which would bring negativity into everyone who reads the posts lives.

My personal life like so many peoples does not stay on a smooth even flow, I have ups and downs just like all other humans and even our magickal companions or our non-magickal  pets. So please understand it is not because I am just being lazy and saying, “People can wait for the birthday horoscope or whatever else posts to I am good and ready to sit at my desk and put the work into WOTC.”

I thank each and every one of you that follows and reads my posts daily. I whole heartly thank you for the support and understanding given to me when I am not up to sitting at my desk for 4 to 6 hours to research and post every day.

Regular Daily Posts Will Be Back Tomorrow Monday, January 16th

Thank you to all my readers in the WoTC’s family. It means more to me then I can explain that you support me in the rough spots as well as the good times in my life by not leaving when I cannot post for whatever reason. May the Great Mother and Great Father bless your life with positive energy and all good things.

I need one more day off as this week has been a roller coaster physically, mentally, and emotionally. I thank the Great Mother and Great Father for carrying me since January 3rd. Without my faith in them I would be in a psych ward again. I did catch up on Birthday Horoscopes and Astronomy Picture of the Day. Tomorrow I will be doing th 16th posts and tomorrow posts for both hemispheres.

My new grandson got to go home from the NICU on Friday. His big brother was so excited to be able to hold him with my son’s help.

My grandson, Chris, got assigned to his Basic Combat Training (BCT) company on Tuesday. He’s now fully enmeshed in his soldier training. My daughter, his mom, and I are starting to adjust to not being able to talk or text him whenever. The trainees cellphones are locked up by their drill sergeant (DS) and only given out to call home when the DS feels they have earned the privilege.

Where Are All the Regular Posts?

Well, I just went through a very emotionally stress filled week and it has not gotten any better so far.

My 3rd oldest grandson left for active service in the USA Army on January 3, 2023, which left his mom my daughter very upset, so I have been on the phone or texting here quite a bit every day. It is her younger of two sons that went.

On the 5th I had another divorce court hearing, and it did not go well. The man I have been married to for 25 years now and have not seen in 22 years is trying to control my life by making the divorce harder than it should be. So that triggered my PTSD from his and other men in my life abuse. I all I want is to cut all ties and be able to get married to a man that loves me, accepts me as I am, and we have known each other over 2 decades. That man would be Lord Beltane a.k.a. Big Dawg.

Yesterday I was honored with another grandson being born. He was born early because of serious medical problems my daughter-in-law was having. He had to be put in the NICU right after birth because he was breathing too fast for his body to get the right amount of oxygen. As of this writing he is still being monitor in the NICU. His name is Asher if anyone would care to light a candle for him or say a “prayer”.

Today we were gone from the house at 10:00 AM after I got up late and did not have time to work. Tomorrow, we leave about 9:00 AM CST to travel back and forth to Wisconsin to take care of some business a total of a 5-hour ride.

Tuesday, I clean a friend’s house for extra pin money.

Oh yeah, I also fell twice on my right hip which is not broken but extremely sore.

So, to wrap this up I will not be back to regular posting until probably this coming Wednesday, but I will make sure the birthday horoscopes go up on their correct date every morning.
