Spell for Today – Sunday Pagan Worship
(YOU CAN COPY AND PASTE ANY SPELLS POSTED TO A DOCUMENT TO PRINT AND/OR SAVE ON YOUR COMPUTER FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY)
Finally, it’s Sunday, the official day of rest. Not only do Christians acknowledge this day but I’m sure many pagans appreciate this day, as well. Everyone needs rest and a lot of people need a good day to worship their creator (whomever or whatever that may be), however they deem fit to do so. With the Sun being the central theme of many ancient rituals, Sunday just seems to fit, in name and theory.
Sunday Pagan Worship
What you will need:
Your voice
Your body
1 bell (optional)
Find a quiet, private area, without distraction. Sit down in a comfortable position. Take a few, slow, deep breaths. Allow your body to become very relaxed. When you have done this, if you brought a bell, ring it seven times. Allow the last ring to resonate throughout your body. If you have something you want to say, to God or The Goddess, now would be a good time to do this. When you are finished, say this prayer or chant:
“I know there is a higher
being than me.
I am not alone.
You are with me,
Day and night.
You’ve rode the lows
And watched the heights.
If angels are real,
I’m sure to have a guardian.
I am so thankful
And so grateful for your hand.
You’ve blessed me.
You’ve fed me
You’ve quenched my thirst
And even dressed me.
A ‘man,
A ‘man,
And Blessed Be.”
When you are finished, ring the bell seven more times, to end the ceremony

Ngetal
Healing, cleaning, cleansing, catharsis, paring down
Tree: Broom (Cytisus spp.)
Letter: Ng
Like when a fever breaks, broom signifies the end of a struggle and the subsequent ability to clear out the junk to make way for a newer, more positive approach. Walking a way from a bad habit or situation can be painful, but not necessarily so. It may also be gradual. Overall, Ngetal is the importance of getting rid of old junk and baggage (this could be actual clutter or psychological baggage, which of course are intimately linked) or it could mean the resolution of action against someone who has wronged you, whether it is forgiveness or cutting and clearing them out of your life. If it is forgiveness, Ngetal suggests it is coming from a genuine place of inner peace. Apologizing does not necessarily make you an apologist.
There is a process of analysis and reflection that eventually distances anger and enables you to feel it without being puppeted by it. Letting go of attachments that aren’t healthy, for instance, an obsession with being liked for the way you look, will help you develop in ways that fulfill your purpose in this life. Ngetal could signify you are beginning to release anxieties about what you have no control over, which will go a long way in healing your spirit.
Questions when you draw Ngetal:
-What bad habits do I have that I’d like to get rid of within the next year?
-Should I wholly forgive a person who is doing me wrong right now, cut them out of my life, or figure out a strategy that is somewhere in-between?
Ngetal ill-dignified excess: Compulsive cleanliness
Have you ever wondered what kind of person lives in a beautiful, stark, minimalist Mies Van der Rohe interior of white surfaces punctuated by sheets of steel and …

OTHILA
Separation, Withdrawal, Heir
This is the time of your ways separating. Old skin must shed, outdated relationships need to be given up. If this rune appears, a “molting” is necessary. Othila is a rune of the radical separation. Obedience and probably also withdrawal is necessary – to know, when and how you need to withdraw, and to actually have the determination, to do it. Property is also an aspect of this rune, because Othila is the rune of the acquisition and profit. The profit however, that “heir”, which you receive, could likely be made of something that you need to abandon. This process can be especially hard if that what needs to be abandoned is something of your cultural heir and backing. Not ‘rigidly’ but rather like a ‘river’ is the correct attitude to have. And yet – you have to wait that the universe begins to act.

Ogham

Mor
Change, shift, the sea, maps, realm of the subconscious, great undercurrents
Tree: Witch hazel (Hamamelis spp.)
Letter: X
“Sea change” is a term for profound or holistic change. Change is the foundation of existence. The interplay of opposing forces creates and destroys ad infinitum. Mor bookends the concept of change introduced by the first Ogham, Beith. The intention that sowed an action reaped a habit, the habit reaped a character, and the character reaped a destiny. The new track in space has been laid and change is inevitable.
When you draw Mor, look for the changes in and around you. These are not necessarily good or bad. Often, drawing this Ogham can mean something as basic as “oh look, the season of Spring is arriving”. Mor doesn’t have to indicate any kind of drama, although it could. Mor calls out to you to look at overarching influences, new factors or people, and to examine the permutations and possibilities of how they affect the environment.
Mor is a bird’s eye view of opposing forces in our lives rather than being upswept by the random forces that weave in and out of our daily existences. Understanding your own subconscious gives you the ability to calmly deal with challenges that come your way. The work you do on understanding yourself is the sails you build on your boat in the great sea of life. You still need to figure out which way the wind is blowing, of course, but knowing a thing or two about your own position, your tendencies, desires, faults, and strengths will give you the power you need to dodge rocks and survive storms.

Queen of Pentacle – Major Arcana
I. The meaning of the Queen of Pentacles Shadowscapes Tarot
Queen of Pentacles Shadowscapes Tarot has always desired to look after and nurture others. She was full of generosity and possessed a warm soul. Her arms spread in a fan shape around her body which reminds us of the embodiment of Durga, the ten-hand goddess of Hinduism, representing the feminine creative energy source. She is a devoted, protective, trustworthy and honest person. She always upheld the safety of the material she held and her position in society.
Queen of Pentacles Shadowscapes Tarot will always be willing to give her support to anyone who asks for it. She holds the power of the old Oak tree, which she herself sees as part of her body (or which itself is a part of her). She is always willing to share this source of power, a source of gold energy that comes from life and the warmth of the sun itself, crept in the branches and transform it into the purest energy.
“Take it, always take it with you and remember, I am always with you!” She whispered, plucking a leaf from a nearby branch. Everything rustled around the song around her. They murmured and hissed hundreds of voices at once, a strange combination of the secrets she was holding.
Keywords related to the Queen of Pentacles Shadowscapes Tarot: nurture, ennoblement, rationality, resource, reliability, warmth, safety, tenderness, generosity, altruism, down-to-earth, fidelity, organization, fertility, prosperity, sensuality, hospitality, sharpness, abundance, ownership, luxury, responsibility, creativity, wealth, confidence, maturity, knowledge, cultivation.

Phagos
Teaching, education, mastery, virtuosity, legacy
Tree: Beech (Fagus spp.)
Letter: Ph or F
Phagos is a reminder of the mental discipline it takes in the process of acquiring knowledge. When you get to the point of knowing a subject so well, you can teach it effortlessly, then you have mastered the subject on the mental plane, which reverberates through the other planes. Saturated knowledge is knowing a thing inside and out. Those who believe in reincarnation believe this is the kind of knowledge that does not go away when you shed one mortal body for the next one: for instance, a skilled midwife will stand a good chance of coming back as a competent ob/gyn who stumbles upon their talent in a seemingly random way. Or a lute player may be reborn and pick up the guitar at age twelve and learn it faster than any other kid in their class because of knowledge picked up in past lifetimes.
Teaching and inspiring others to master a subject is the physical manifestation of knowledge, or in old terminology, the Word made flesh. Beech tree bark makes a primitive form of paper. Phagos implies the written word and the transmission of knowledge through our uniquely human invention: writing.
Teachers and teaching are often undervalued in the modern West, with denigrations such as “those who can, do; those who can’t, teach,” being thrown about by the arrogant who have never been able to translate their mental skill in a way that consistently inspires others to learn. Bad teachers abound, and they can be bad for any number or reasons: some choose teaching when they have no passion for it, some want the glory of being labeled a teacher. Everybody knows that a good teacher is worth their weight in gold when it comes to the transmission of knowledge, and that a bad teacher is hardly worth the powder to blow them to hell, and often what a teacher is paid has nothing to do with what they’re worth. If you have a good teacher, let them know. Learn all you can while you are able to do so with the best teachers you can find (we live in the age of the internet, and a huge number of great teachers “live” there). Concentrate on a small number of subjects until you gain complete mastery, because you will take that knowledge with you long after your current flesh body dies. If you know a subject well enough to teach it, this Ogham is encouraging you to spread the wealth of your knowledge with other humans in a direct and potentially physical way such as writing.

Onn
O is Onn, or Ohn, and represents the Gorse bush, sometimes called Furze. This yellow, flowery shrub grows on moors all year long, and is full of nectar and pollen. It’s a food source for many animals–the stalks are munched on by grazing livestock–but eventually Furze is set on fire. This controlled burn allows old deadwood to be gotten rid of, and clears the way for new life to begin. Gorse (Furze) represents long-term thinking and planning–knowing that sometimes we have to do without in order to gain things in the future. Gorse is a determined sort of plant that always comes back, and so it is also connected with perseverance and hope.
In some pieces of Celtic folklore, the Gorse is used as a protective barrier. Planting it around one’s home would keep the Sidhe away, and it can be shaped into a broom for sweeping away negative influences.

White magic Jupiter spell
by Tina Caro
This white magick spell is well known and is a simple ritual to obtain money, thanks to the help of the force of the planet Jupiter.
If we want to give more strength to the ritual, the Thursday that must be chosen should be in a period of the new moon shortly after midnight.
Ingredients:
- A new copper container
- A ten dollar banknote (or one of any other currency)
- Nine green candles
- Nine white candles
- Coarse salt
- Wooden matches
How to perform it:
Take the banknote and fold it into four parts.
Now place it in the copper container.
Create an ideal circle with the green candles around the copper container.
Now arrange the white candles in a circle around the green ones as well.
Then draw a circle with the coarse salt that encloses everything.
You will then have the copper container in the center surrounded by the green candles, which in turn are surrounded by the white candles, which in turn are enclosed by the circle of salt.
This composition is a powerful catalyst for positive energies and is also used in other propitiatory rites.
Now, light the candles, starting with the green ones, and moving clockwise.
While lighting the candles, repeat as if it were a chant the following formula several times and always in a multiple number of three (three, six, nine…).
Leave a certain amount of time between the lighting of one candle and the other.
“Sun, cover me with gold,
dress me in silver, Moon,
give me riches, great Jupiter”
Let the candles burn out completely. Then take the copper container and put it in a safe place away from prying eyes (obviously you have to leave the banknote inside).
It can be used again to repeat the ritual as often as you need it, always in the new moon period, always on Thursday.

GENERAL
Six of Cups – Minor Arcana
Reunions; unexpect gifts.
A little boy and girl are smiling and hugging two large Water dragons, who rise out of a pond. The children symbolize the natural psychic connection all humans possess before they are taught such a thing is false. They are freely communicating with astral creatures because it is a normal thing to do. On the flower and tree-covered banks stand six chalice. The flowers and trees represent constant renewal of life, fed by the waters of the lake (emotional purity and balance). Tiny dragons flutter happily around the children, symbols of the potential power of even the tiniest pieces of cosmic energy. The six chalice represent the power of building in all its connotations; building of relationships, healing power, and bridges between people and/or species. By acknowledging this power of building, we we acknowledge the interconnectedness of all things, animate and inanimate. Divinatory Meaning: A reunion with old friends may be near. New opportunities present themselves; be ready to act on them. Unexpected gifts may surprise you.![]()
LOVE

The Lovers – Major Arcana
Am emotional decision.
A Forest dragon stands on the bank of a lake, its neck outstretched to touch noses with a beautiful Water dragon that rises from the waters. The gaze at each other in love, unconcerned that their attraction will prove difficult because of their very different lifestyles. For the moment, they are caught up in the power of their emotions. The Forest dragon represents the liner, analytical left brain and the conscious mind, while the Water dragon represents creativity, spiritually connected right mind and the conscious mind. To achieve success and reach goals, both halves of the brain, as well as the conscious and subconscious minds, must live and work together in harmony in order to reach a spiritual balance point. However, because of the vast differences in perceiving life and spirit, this is extremely difficult to maintain on a constant basis. Thus, we go through life in a kind of dance, approaching, then retreating from the balance point. The heron, representing generation of life, and the butterfly, symbolizing the soul itself, reveal that we must always be aware of the soul and its need to grow, regardless of our emotional side-paths. Divinatory Meaning A romantic encounter may come into your life. You may be faced with an attraction or a temptation that may not be good for you. There will be an attraction of opposites that will be difficult to reconcile in the long run. A difficult choice will arise; make your decision on facts, not the emotionsHEALTH

The wolves in the background represent the strength, cunning, and wisdom he is learning, while the squirrel of resourcefulness, the rabbit of fertility, and the little mice of self-preservation help him to create a balanced attitude towards life. DIVINATORY MEANING: You feel comfortable, safe, and at ease with yourself. There will soon be a pleasant period of being alone. A journeyFinances
