This is traditionally viewed as the second day of the week. Although known as ‘Monandaeg’ by the Angle-Saxons it was also known as ‘the day of the moon’. ‘Black Monday’ was the term given to 14 April 1360 which was an Easter Monday. King Edward III of England had laid siege to Paris but was plagued by the weather as it turned foul and dark.. As a result it is said that many men and their mounts were lost in battle. The fact that this event is said to have occurred on Easter Monday is disputed, being later said to have occurred on the Tuesday, but ever since the Monday after Easter has been given this name. On 25 February 1865 a terrifying wind rose up in Melbourne, Australia coming from the NNW. Devastation hit an immense area of land between Castlemaine and Sandhurst, known after by this name. According to tradition it was believed that there were three specific Mondays of the year that were considered to be unlucky. The first Monday in April, the second in August, and the last in the month of December. It is said that Cain was born on the first Monday in April, and that later it was upon this day that he killed his brother Abel. Sodom and Gommorah was said to be destroyed on the second Monday in August, and that it was upon this day in December that Judas Iscariot was born. According to the English historian Richard Grafton certain dates of the month were unlucky as published in the ‘Manual’ in 1565. Days throughout the year were identified and of course could have related to any day of the week. The date was the most important point to consider. The work was reputed to have some credence with support given by astronomers of the day.

I know you are thinking she is feeling Celtic today or else she has lost her mind? Well really neither one. I am actually having a great Monday. I am going to have to write this down on the calendar. So far everything is coming up roses! Well I spoke too soon, Razzy just ran in here and decided she wanted my attention. To get it, she hops up in my lap and loves the computer. Then she takes one of those big paws and always manages to throw it on the keyboard. You ought to see the mess she can make on a post. One of these days when she is composing, I am just going to leave it. Then sign it, “From Razzy with Love!”

Don’t worry I am not that hard up for help, I swear. I guess I might as well catch you up on what’s been going on around here. Annie and The Countess are history. When I let everyone off for the week, I found some things that were handled improperly and other various other goings on. Needless to say there are something I don’t tolerate. I look at it this way if you are going to commit to something, then commit to it. There was no commitment, nothing was getting done and the WOTC was suffering from their actions. I have one young man in the office right now donating his time. Then tomorrow, I have a very old friend that is coming back to the WOTC. We grew up together, have the same personalities and practice the same beliefs. She has always been my Ace in the hole when I needed anything. I was talking to her on the phone and was explaining what was going on. She asked me why I didn’t call her to start with she would have been glad to help. She is one of the old WOTC’s assistant managers when we were on MSN. She is very reliable, knowledgeable and she brings a lot to the table with her. Her name is Misty but on the computer she goes by Mistress of the Myst. She has a brother that was also an assistant, now if we could recruit him again, we could sit back and watch this thing explode across the net.

I believe we get the right people in here that the WOTC will spread the Goddess’ message the way it is suppose to. If it wasn’t for the Goddess there would not be a WOTC. It is our mission and always will be to spread the truth and beauty about our religion, Witchcraft. To bring it back to its rightful place in mainstream religion and to always welcome all that seek or just curious. We want people to see what we really are, children of the Goddess. Happy WhirlWind Monday Dear Friends!

I don’t know if it is a whirlwind Monday or a manic Monday? I must apologize for us running late. We had a call come in from a local Vet for an animal pick-up. I took the call and the Vet made me promise not to tell Lady A what she was coming to pick up. It is a turkey vulture, ugh! Lady A won’t refuse to pick it up, nurse it back to health and then re-release. She tells us that the vulture is one animal that creeps her out. And she is hard to creep out. I admit myself I like holding and cuddling with some of the animals we get. But you won’t find me cuddling with a turkey vulture, no way. As soon as she get back with it and gets it settled I will take a photo of it. Then you can see for yourself what I am talking about.

Lady had just started up her computer as I took the phone call. She told me I could use it for the day. I wonder what kind of goodies she has hide on this thing, hmm. I think the Countess told everyone that the firefighter destroyed my computer. Lady A has a regular PC, she is going to bring down here for me to use. It is one she has stored several old Books of Shadows on. I can’t wait to get it and snoop through it. She has already told me I could use anything I find on it. Which means one of two things, she has already wiped it cleaned or I can actually use anything on it? Time for me to quit dreaming and get to work. If I don’t have something done by the time she gets back, she will think I have been playing on this one.

Ah, It’s Monday! Ah, It’s Monday! Please Wake Me Up & Tell Me Tuesday, lol!

How’s your day going so far? I hope fantastic. I don’t even want to talk about mine. But I do have a question, why does everyone not like Mondays? I was going through the graphics to post a pic. I could not find one that said anything nice about Mondays! I know today hasn’t been a very good day for me. I have been up since 12:30 a.m., last night. I took a nap during a show and after that I was wide awake. I don’t know I just haven’t felt the same since I got electrocuted. I told my husband that last night. He wanted me to explain it. Heck, I don’t know, I just don’t feel like myself. Take for instance right now, I just want to break down and cry. It has been a stressful and costly day but nothing I normally can’t handle. I know when I am walking it is really strange. It is like I am trying to astral project. I have my inner being slowly slip out behind me. I can see me walking and everything. My inner being is just dragging along. Now go to the doctor and tell him that. He would commit me. You know it is funny. Something I feel like I can talk to all of you about. While others, I have to keep certain details hidden. I would imagine being witches you know what I mean. We don’t go around broadcasting, “Hey, look at me! I’m a witch!”

I have to admit, I do feel better now. I don’t feel like I want to break down and cry anymore. I guess keeping things bottled up doesn’t help at all. You know yourself, there are things we can never mention to anyone. We have problems, we can’t go to someone for help. We have to solve them ourselves. I just feel all alone at times, even though there are people around me all the time. When I get on the blog and start writing to all of you, I don’t feel alone anymore. I can feel your energy and your love. It let’s me know you are there and you care. I don’t feel alone with you. I feel like I am amongst family. It is wonderful to have kindred spirits.

On a serious note, I would ask for your patience today. You know we have the Southern Hemisphere that we do their horoscopes and everything else for. Well their horoscopes and other info hasn’t been getting done. So today, I am going to try to pull up both sites and post in them at the same time. I did it once before and I guess I will have to start doing it again. We made a commitment to our friends down under and we have really been lax in following through. Hopefully things will start to change for them. The lady that was suppose to come in and help out had an emergency. She won’t be here till next week. Surely, I can hold out to then, lol! But that is what I will be doing. I hope it won’t cause any problem here. I think I can post as fast as I use too, keyword, “think,” lol!

Good Morning, my dear friends! How is everyone today? I am feeling a little better but still sick. I get tickled when I get sick. I have Kiki, Razzy and Stinker all hovering over me like I’m dying. If only they had arms and hands, lol! They are sweet though. Every time I cough or sneeze, Kiki runs and gets hubby. He comes in here and want to know what is wrong. Kiki is so protective it isn’t even funny. If I fall asleep at the computer, asleep in the floor, up sleep walking, you name and I ain’t suppose to be doing it, she runs and gets hubby. He told me that was a good thing, I guess it is. But he doesn’t realize, some of those places I fall asleep at, I am sooooo comfortable, lol! Now as far as the sleep walking goes, she can go and get him all night long. The doctors’ have tried medication and everything possible. I still sleep walk. That last time I can remember sleep walking, I woke myself up out on the porch. If it hadn’t been for a loose board that I stumped my toe on I would probably ended up in jail. I woke up with a rifle in my hand and I had intentions of shooting the dogs next door. Which is totally against my nature! I remember going to bed angry because the dogs wouldn’t stop barking. I guess while I was asleep, I just kept dwelling on it. I finally just got up in my sleep and grabbed the rifle and off I went. I can guarantee you, hubby has all the guns with him now, lmao! Must be afraid I might mistake him for a doggie, lol!

Well I am going to get busy. If you have a moment today, stop by the Apothecary. I am going to be putting some spell kits on there. They are going to reasonable, I promise. The biggest part of them range from 5 to 7 dollars.

Good, Good, Good Monday Morning, all my bright-eyed friends!

Goooood Monday Morning, my dears! How are you doing? I just wanted to drop you a quick note. Didn’t want you to think I had run off, lol! I am going to put today’s morning dailies on real quick. Then this afternoon (I hope earlier) I will finish out. I have to take hubby to the doctor this morning. Nothing serious, just a check-up after the wreck he had. In case you don’t know he had a man hit him in the driver’s side doing 70 mph. He was going to work, stopped at a stop sign and the man went off the road and hit him. It threw my husband out of my Explorer and he bounced 50 foot down the road. The door hinges on my Explorer busted off the frame that is how hard he was hit. Then the S.O.B. had the nerve to say he was only doing 25 mph, yeah right! That didn’t wash with the State Troopers.

But anyway, enough tragedy! I am going to get busy. I will see you later on this morning (keep your fingers crossed, lol!).

It’s That Time Of The Week, For My Opinion!

Good Afternoon dear friends! I hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday. Man, doesn’t time fly by these days? I know it does for me. Time I turn around tomorrow will be Friday and time for the weekend again, lol!

I got to thinking that I hadn’t chatted with you in about a week or two (I mean really chatted). I figure perhaps once a week you can hopefully stand to hear me discuss something serious, lol! When I say serious, I mean like politics, social issues, happenings in the news, predictions, forecasts, basically anything that motivates me to speak on it. For me to sit down and write an article from the heart I have to feel passionate about it. The topic has to stir me to do some long hard thinking on it. I just can’t sit down to write to be writing, I don’t believe the authors of the books can either. So I am in good company!

I have been giving it some serious thought about the Mayan Prediction of the world coming to an end. I know I brought this subject up once before. At that time, I said I believed that the Mayans has predicted their own morality. They believe they would live to the year 2012 and that would be it. No more Mayan civilization, that is why the calendar stopped at 2012. It was not our end by their own end.

The logical side of me still believes that but the other side, oh brother! That side is running wild with all these crazy thoughts. Perhaps they really aren’t as crazy as I think. You see every month, I do all the Planetary and Space occurrences for that month. I have started to mentally keep count of all the strange events I run across. The number of Full Moons we have, the Eclipses, the Meteor and Asteroid Showers, everything. Maybe it is just because I have started to keep up with these happenings. Maybe these events occur all the time and I just have never noticed them till now. But it does seem odd to me, all of the Solar activity that has been going on.

Next, I have a woman at the doctor’s office to thank for this line of thinking. She asked the nurse, “how am I suppose to get my medicine when the world ends?” The poor nurse didn’t know what to say. I surprised she didn’t send her back in to get her medicine changed. So off my little mind goes on that train of thought. First, how would the world end? We have been having quite a few natural disasters and the weather has been so strange. Could it be that we are going to be wiped out by Mother Earth? I live on the New Madrid Fault Line, so one shake and I am gone (of course, if the uranium enrichment plant doesn’t get me first :s).

What would life be like after a natural disaster had wiped us out? I can imagine it but I don’t want too. Your house destroyed or in rumble. No electricity, no water, no phone, no internet. And that’s just at your house. Imagine what the world would be like? The roadways would be destroyed. No interstates for our trucks to deliver food on, the railroad tracks would be destroyed and the same thing for them. I guess that woman at the doctor’s office did bring up food for thought? Medicine is important, I take enough of it. So that would definitely be a concern. Food, the food you have now in your pantries would run out. Then how are you going to eat. Go to the store. If you can get there, I would imagine by then they have all been vandalized.

Would we be in a matter of seconds put back in the Stone Age? No lights. Sitting at home at night in the dark. Nothing to do at light. I been through that with the Ice Storm that came through here. We were without power for 13 days. I felt like I was living in the 1800’s. We had no way to heat the home because it is all electric. We depended on kerosene heaters and a LP camping stove to keep warm by. We would get everything done during the day and when dusk hit, go to bed. I remember if you wanted to take a hot bath, heating the water up on the LP stove. Ah, what a pain! I don’t see how people lived back then. I would imagine they had a very rough life. If they could see us today, their jaws would drop clean off, lol!

There are lots of things I haven’t mentioned, like the hospitals, communicating with your loved ones, getting to a doctor, people on breathing machines or need oxygen, getting medicine, and the list goes on and on and on. I don’t mean to scare anyone nor do I mean to be all doom and gloom. That’s not my intention at all. I do live on the New Madrid fault line. And anyone else that lives near or on a Earthquake zone, knows to have an emergency kit ready at all times. It never hurts to be prepared at all. The kits are something we fixed up and stuck in a spare closet. We know we have it if we need it. The kit is just made up of simple common sense items: food for 3 to 4 days (canned), can opener, batteries, clothes for 3 to 4 days, coats, blankets, some tools to turn off gas lines, and a first aid kit. See nothing too uncommon at all.

I hope you get more out of this post, than I am just a nut. It took over dramatization just to get me to prepare a emergency kit. I hope I have over dramatized for you enough now, that you will take a moment to fix a kit. These days you never know. I know people around here that even threw in gas masks in their kits, yep, that’s the truth! But you don’t know anymore from one day to the next what is going to happen. Seriously take a moment and put a few things together.

I will admit I have one heck of a vivid imagination. But I am still betting that December 21, 2012 is not the end of our world. I honestly believe that the Mayans had stopped the calendar there because they predicted their own end. Nothing more, nothing less. They knew nothing lived forever and they would eventually come to an end like everything else.

It goes without saying, we are all just mortals. Put on this plane for a short time, then we move on to the next. While we are here and have the lives we have, we should cherish every moment. Take nothing for granted. Stop and kiss our loved ones, tell them how much we love them. None of us know how long we are here for (and I don’t believe we are meant too, either), so let’s make the best of it.

And anyway, I would seriously hate to think I had to communicate with all of you over tin cans and a string, lol!

Good Saturday Afternoon, my luvs! Today Is Shot To….

Good Saturday Afternoon, my luvs! I hope you are having a fantastic day. Me? Ha! Since the day is shot to hell, I will tell you about it (lucky dog, you, lol!). We have had a prowler around the house for some time now. It has just been getting worse and worse. The past week the prowler has been coming right up to the bedroom window. Thursday night, I was asleep and Kiki was standing on my side, snarling, growling and foaming at the mouth. Now imagine a Pomeranian foaming at the mouth 😦 . Hubby got the gun and went outside. He saw someone running out in the field. So last night, I said the hell with it. I closed the glass window and the storm also. Well about 2:30 a.m., this morning all hell broke loose. Kiki went crazy, barking, growling and all over me. Then a huge rock came through one of our bedroom windows. Instead of screaming, I waded through the glass and pointed a shotgun out the window. The prowler wasn’t too quick or else he expected me to be screaming my lungs out. Anyway, he was were I could get good aim on him and I told him to hit the ground or else I was going to put him there. By this time hubby was out the door and had a rifle on him. He had also called 911. Sheriff and a couple of deputies came out. They said they had been having a problem with a prowler out in this area. Bet they don’t no more, lol! After they left, I stayed up picking the glass out of my feet. I really didn’t have that much to pick out. Thank goodness. Because of the animals, I shut the door and we all went and slept in a different bedroom.

Well being in a different bedroom, the sun sure did come up early this morning. I had Kiki curled up on a pillow beside me. Stinker was keeping my feet warm. Razzy was bringing me sheets of paper. Yeah, paper! She caught me cleaning out my purse and putting receipts in a pile to throw away. Razzy got to playing in the receipts and I made her a paper ball. Well ever since then, she wants paper balls made out of every piece of paper she sees. After going to bed at 5:00 a.m., I was up at 6:30 a.m., making paper balls.

I got up made about 4 paper balls, put some coffee on and cleaned the house up. Then when I sit down to do the blog, Kiki got sick. She stays on the bed most of the time. I felt this little paw tap me on my elbow. Before I could catch her, she was in my lap. She was shaking like the devil. I just dropped everything it scared me to death. Come to find out after about an hour, I found out it was her anal glands. We went to the bathroom and I cleaned out her anal glands and her rump. What a lovely job, NOT! After that everything was fine. I gave her some doggy treats and she laid down in her bed and went to sleep. I am pissed off. We went to the vet about a week ago. They supposedly checked her anal glands and they were “so” empty! Right, her poor little old glands were full. I am going to call the vet Monday and tell him exactly why I am changing vets!

While I am at it, I had a talk with Anastasia about the post she made. I kindly explained to her that I did not appreciate it at all. She was not to talk to our followers and friends like that. Ya’ll deserve much more respect that. It was a person’s freewill to come and go as they wished. And it was none of her business why anyone left. I told her to stick to writing what she was suppose to and never make a post like that again. I got one comment that interested me. The comment suggested I go check out another community to see what they were doing. I loved the community but WordPress’ format is not set up like that. Someone has specially designed that format for them. There is no way, you could have ten different groups under this main one. First the storage would be a huge issue. Next, WordPress just wouldn’t allow it. So if I wanted to do something like that, I would have to change host’s and move everything again. I appreciate the comment and I love the site you recommended. But unfortunately, it just won’t work here. Anastasia doesn’t understand that the WOTC has always been a library for Witchcraft. We provide the most current, accurate information that we can find for the new comer to the Craft or the Seasoned Practitioner. We have always operated this way and it seems to have worked for us. I figure right now school is starting back and life is hectic for everyone. When Winter sits in, everything would be back to normal. Like the rest of us, she needs to learn patience, lol! Which ain’t easy at times!

Good Monday morning, dear friends! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. All rested up and ready to get back to the old grindstone, lol! I shouldn’t say that some of us are very fortunate to have the job we love. Which I will admit, they are a lucky Witch, for sure. I had a job working at our family’s business as office manager. It started out perfect. Then it just when to poop! Double poop! Yeah, that bad! It got to the point were I was suppose to work for free. HA! There is only one thing I do for free and I don’t see “The WOTC” stamped on your forehead, lmao! Going to pay everyone else except me because I was family. No way, my time is worth money. So I packed my stuff up and came home. And been here ever since.

Enough about that! I know you were hanging on every word, lmao! But you know to much of a good thing will spoil you! I was thinking over the weekend about all the tragedies in the world these days. Good Monday Morning To You, My Dear Friends!

Good Monday Morning, my dear friends! I wish you a very happy and blessed week to come. I hope your day is off to a great start. Well, mine, oh, brother! My son is still here keeping me company. He informed me the other day that he will probably be here for a while. Oh, boy! Don’t get me wrong, I love him to death. There is nothing in this world I wouldn’t do for him and he knows it. But it is just so different after having the kids all grown and moved away. Then they move back home. Last night, I started once to just sit down and write about how different and strange it is to have one move back home. Then I went outside and looked at the stars and cleared my mind. I have no privacy. I just looked out of the corner of my eye and my son is up. He will be in here in a minute wanting to know what I am doing. He use to know I did my group daily. I thought I told him I now did a blog? My mind must be going. He is on his phone continuously, texting. He will come in here, lay down on the bed, talk and text the whole time. I am use to talking to a person by looking them in the eye. Not him! He has started going out. I told him, he is grown, go do what you want to, you don’t answer to me anymore. He comes in anywhere from 2 to 4 in the morning. The first thing he does is come to the door and holler, “You awake?” Why hell yes I am! I always stay up to all hours of the night :S. Once I go to sleep then get woke up, I can never go back to sleep. Then I take my medicine, I pass out and I sleep late. This runs me late doing the blog. Then last week, he hated his wife, now this week, they might be getting back together. It is enough to make your head swim. I keep thinking have patience. Patience is a virtue. One which I haven’t acquired yet!

Now on to a much lighter note…..

If one eclipse can play havoc with my nerves, then 2 in one week is really going to drive me nuts, especially as they are sending conflicting signals. It’s when I feel a little out of control and I can’t understand what I’m feeling, that I gain a sense of security and safety from everything around me remaining the same. It’s routine and all things predictable that will save my sanity this week.

Taurus

Strong forces in the air this week are unlikely to rattle me, which is surprising as I’m usually quite prone to the effect that eclipses have on me. This time around this is going to infuse me with a new sense of confidence and see a desire for change fill me with a sense of entitlement. Expect me to turn into a bit of a diva this week, wanting my own way and very sure about what I do and don’t like.

Gemini

My birthday month reaches a critical point this week, where I’m being influenced by forces that make me feel threatened and by those that fill me with confidence and a clear sense of what I do and don’t like. One minute I seem fragile and in need of reassurance and the next I’ll be ready to take on the world. They don’t call me the sign of the Twins for nothing, with both sides of my personality coming out this week.

Cancer

Don’t be surprised if Monday’s lunar eclipse inspires a burst of activity from me, especially as until then you may be worried that I’m becoming a little too lazy and a little too fond of dozing and my all day naps. Any week that has 2 eclipses is going to rattle me, as it will all pets and even you humans, but I’ll cope best if I have some predictability and balance. Chances are this will turn me into a bit of a home body, feeling best when I’m surrounded by all things familiar. Yet by midweek I’m likely to find my inner confidence, doing a complete flip flop and demanding my independence.

Libra

I’ve been under the spell of a sense of adventure and wanderlust for some time, but this week the voice in my head just won’t keep quiet, telling me to just ‘go for it’. While I’m normally well behaved and enjoy having rules and boundaries and enjoy even more the ‘atta girls’ or ‘atta boys’ I get when I abide by them, my inner gypsy is just too strong to be ignored.

Scorpio

If you’re looking to introduce change into my life, then strike while the iron is hot this week. I’m not only more open to change this week but actually want you to bring it on, but I’m going to have a boost in confidence to help me cope with getting what I wish for. For while I want change it’s just as scary for me as it is for you, with an extra dose of confidence a useful panacea.

Sagittarius

I’m so ready to stand up for myself this week, saying ‘no’ when you try and tell me what I should do or to get what I want when you try and stop me, that I’m likely to do just that whether you do or not. Even when you’re not trying to be the boss of me I’ll be standing up and telling you that you can’t. So yes, I am going to get a little loopy this week, but I blame it on all the eclipse energy in the air.

Capricorn

You may start to wonder if my missing twin has all of a sudden showed up from out of the blue and that at times we’re switching places, just to play with you. For while there will be two sides to me this week, they are so extreme and are likely to flip flop so much, that you may be left wondering which is the real me. At times you’ll get the action me, running around like an Eveready Bunny, while at other times you’ll get the sloth.

Aquarius

Whether I’m normally shy and hesitant when there are strangers around or not, my social butterfly wings will be getting a full work out this week. There is a sense of fun in the air this week that I’ll want to tap into, so much so that I’ll be afraid of missing out on anything, showing up just in case. This is being spurred on by a lunar eclipse in a social part of my sign on Monday, which will help me to come out of my shell.

Pisces

Pets and animals as a whole have a sixth sense, relying on and trusting our instincts, which has served us well for thousands of years and works well for me now, knowing how to wrap you around my little finger. Us Piscean pets are even more sensitive, but the downside is that I pick up on everything and with two eclipses this week my senses will be going haywire. This may play havoc with my nerves, but keeping things as routine as possible is all the panacea I need.
