Daily OM – Working with Angels c. 2012

Graceful Guidance

by Madisyn Taylor

Our angels are here to help us and by calling on them for assistance they are able to do their job.

At some point in our lives, we are likely to find ourselves asking for help, perhaps from no one in particular, and without knowing where help could possibly come from. We may have raised our eyes skyward or whispered our need under our breath only to find that somehow we were heard, and the help we needed arrived. It might have come in the form of a person who appeared at the right time, or perhaps it came in the form of luck, chance, or divine intervention. However assistance appears, these are times when we can be sure that there are angels watching over us.
We may find ourselves asking for their help with simple things—like finding a parking spot or to watch over loved ones—but then we forgot to call on them when we found ourselves alone or in pain. We don’t need to be aware of them to receive their assistance, but there is comfort in the knowledge that they are there for us when we need them. And when we remain open to their presence, we can call on them whenever we need them to connect and be nurtured by their ethereal and heavenly energy.
As symbols of grace and gentle encouragement, they can offer us comfort as they enfold us in their wings or lift our spirit as they take flight. We may be warmed by their glow, guided by their gentle nudges or inspired by their whispers in our ears. We may hear the name of our angel and feel a personal connection, but it isn’t necessary. All they need is to be heard, to see us benefit from their guidance and perhaps to hear a word of thanks sent their way every now and then. Whether they appear in the guise of a helpful stranger, or as a thought that suddenly occurs to us, angels are our loving guides from the spiritual realm, who with a brush of their angelic wings help us to make the most of our human experience by balancing it with the spiritual awareness that all things are possible and that we are not alone.

Egyptian Dream Scrying

Egyptian Dream Scrying

Ancient Egyptians believed in the power of dreams to bring messages from their many gods. Their methods of dream scrying go back over 5000 years and were recorded in their ancient texts and on hieroglyphic writings.  Some of their techniques were later used by other ancient civilizations, as in ancient Greece thousands of years ago.

Ritual Dream Scrying Techniques

On the day you scry – find a place of solitude and remain alone.

Do not consume alcohol, eat for 4 hours before your begin, or engage in sexual activities.

Take a warm relaxing bath then anoint your temples with olive oil. You will need an oil lamp as used with lamp scrying.

On a short narrow strip of white linen write the name of the Egyptian God and the purpose for the dream scrying. Twist the linen strip into a wick and insert into the oil of the lamp. Place the lamp on a table beside your bed. Using the ink draw the image of the dream God upon your left palm.

Light your lamp. Kneel before the lamp. Invocation:

Concentrating on the image on your left hand recite the following invocation :
“Thoth, (use name of desired god) I invoke, blessed power of dreams divine, Angel of future fates, swift wings are thine, Great source of oracles to human kind, When stealing soft, and whispering to the mind, Through sleep’s sweet silence and the gloom of night, Thy power awake the sight, To silent souls the will of heaven relates, And silently reveals their future fates.”

Concentrate on your question. Around your left hand wrap a piece of black linen about four inches wide and about thirty inches long. The black cloth is called the black eye of Isis. – the Magic of Isis – or Black Isis.

Blow out the lamp’s flame. Clear your mind and go to sleep.

Have a tape recorder or pen and paper beside your bed so that when you awaken you may record your dreams while still fresh in your mind.

You will find that the dream will come to you in a voice that is clear and powerful rather than in dream images. Sometimes the messages are in symbols – cryptic forms. Take your time in deciphering the messages you have received. You may want to use a dream dictionary to interpret messages given, if possible.  They are often archetypes from your subconscious mind, perhaps from an Egyptian lifetime.

Daily Feng Shui News for Aug. 22nd – 'Be An Angel Day'

On  maybe you’d like to call on one to make your wishes come true. Author and angel historian JoAnn Cornug shares that Angel Xexor is your ally in bringing magic and manifestation to whatever you wish. Be specific with what you want when you call on him and he will answer, especially if you call this way: ‘I am a witness to God’s Miracle every instant of every day.’ Invoke Xexor three times before saying this prayer and then be careful what you wish for, because now it’s coming true.

Kozy Kitty of the Day for March 26th

Holly, the Cat of the Day
Name: Holly
Age: Thirteen years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Tabby
Home: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
After losing my first cat to cancer at the young age of nine, I was devastated. That same year my brother gifted me with this kitten for Christmas, hence her name Holly.

She is so special because when I talk to her she talks back to me. We can have conversations that goes on for minutes sometimes. What makes her unique is she also has two mittens that she plays with during the day. However, every night when I go to bed she goes off to find her mittens and picks them up in her mouth like they were her babies and meows while carrying each of them separately to the bedroom before climbing into bed with me and going to sleep. I have also taught her to kiss me when I ask for one and I have a special whistle that will make her come immediately upon hearing it. She is very smart and very loving but hides when other people come over. To say she is my Angel on Earth is an understatement and I love her to death. She is my Cat of the Day every day!

Angels We Have Heard

Angels We Have Heard

by Blake TaylorMixon, Traditional

“(Gloria in Excelsis Deo (Angels We Have Heard On High)

Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o’er the plains
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains.

Gloria, see the sun reborn today.

Angels know that winter’s nigh
Turning seasons of the year
See the old is passing by
Bring the new one in with cheer.

Gloria, celebrate the new year.
