Altar, Incense and Candle Magick
Your Altar
You may use anything that has a flat top.. I use an old trunk with a piece of plywood on it. Be creative.. As for a cover I use white because of its kind of a multipurpose color. Although some magic specifies a color then whatever color is specified should be used. Again, be creative… Keep in mind that candle magic is usually done in condensed areas so keep things as simplistic as you can, especially your candlesticks and censors.
Incense
There are some who believe that incense is unimportant in candle magic. I cannot imagine performing candle magic without the incense. The type that you use may be specified in a specific spell, if that is the case by all means use that. Generally, I use three kings incense as well as vervain. Vervain gives the spell working a little umph. But then again nothing is set in stone.. Be creative.
Incense symbolizes Air… as the smoke rises our thoughts are carried up into the universe.

The Rainbow Chant/Song for An Easy Way to Cleanse Children’s Chakras
When my 18-year-old granddaughter was a toddler she liked me to sing her to sleep. She also sneezed if I used White Sage to cleanse her Chakras, so we made up a song/chant to do them as she was going to sleep. We call it the Rainbow Song.
Have the child lay on their stomach, sing/chant each color, the flowing of one chakra to the next and the joining of the child’s chakras to the sky/universe and Mother Earth three times each. Ask the child at each chakra what they think is making it dirty. Incorporate that with getting the dark color of each chakra out. Use your power hand over each chakra to cleanse it.
Then starting with the red root chakra sing/chant, “Dark dirty red out, bright good red in.” (Base of the spine) You can ask the child to pick something that is a shiny red, such as a firetruck, to see in their mind to help bring the clean energy in.
The next chakra is the orange sacral chakra sing/chant, ” Dark dirty orange out, bright good orange in.” (Half way between root chakra and belly button) Ask the child to picture something bright orange, such as a pumpkin, to help bring the clean energy in.
The next chakra is the yellow solar plexus chakra sing/chant, “Dark dirty yellow out, bright good yellow in.” (Locate over the diaphragm) Ask the child to picture something bright yellow, such as the Sun, to help bring the clean energy in.
Next we have the green heart chakra sing/chant, “Dark dirty green out, bright good green in. (Locate over the heart) Ask the child to think of something bright green like grass or leaves on a sunny day.
Next is the blue throat chakra sing/chant, “Dark dirty blue out, bright good blue in.” (Locate at the throat.) Ask the child to think of something bright blue like a lake or a bright blue sky.
The next chakra is the indigo third eye chakra sing/chant, “Dark dirty indigo out, bright good indigo in.” (Located in the middle of the forehead.) Ask the child to think of something that is very dark blue such as a flower.
Last is the violet or white crown chakra sing/chant, “Drak violet or white out, bright good violet or white in. (Located on the crown of the head.) Have the child think of a bright purple crayon or a white one.
Now starting at the root chakra and going up to the crown chakra sing/chant,” Red joins orange, orange joins yellow, yellow joins green, green joins blue, blue joins indigo, indigo joins violet or white. When doing this part use your power hand and run it up the child’s spine up to the crown of the head in one motion. Do not lift your hand off of child!
Have the child reach their arms above their head as far as they can comfortably reach before you start joining the chakras. Each time you get to the crown chakra sing/chant “The rainbow comes out of the fingers to join the universe!”
Lastly, go down the chakras from crown to root joining them in reverse order of what you did for the Universal joining. Each time you reach the root chakra sing/chant, “The rainbow comes out of the feet to join to Mother Earth!”
By joining the child to the Universe and Mother Earth, you give them a complete connection to everything around them.

Divine Feminine Ritual To Kali: The 4 Fierce Elements
“The 4 Fierce Elements”
Kali is the Hindu goddess (or Devi) of death, time, and doomsday and is often associated with sexuality and violence but is also considered a strong mother-figure and symbolic of motherly-love. She removes the ego and liberates the soul from the cycle of birth and death.
The Ritual:
Result of performing this ritual: Space, clarity and capacity to create powerfully and in a balanced way.
Inside each of us is a fierce part that wants to be expressed. That fierce part is about truth and clear everything that is no longer useful away so you can feel the balance and capacity to create inside of you.
Kali is bold. She is powerful. She is within you waiting to be awoken and activated. Call upon her when you need to get back into your power, courage and confidence and feel your raw sense of self. Kali will help you honor yourself and truth for the highest good.
This ritual will help you invoke her energy through the 4 fierce elements earth, wind, water, and fire of release and clearing.
What you’ll need:
• A safe, uninterrupted place
• A bell• A bowl of water
• A candle
• A rock (I use my volcano rocks)
Step ONE: Fire Feel the intensity of fire to burn away your limiting beliefs that are no longer serving you. Allow that lava to clear your body temple of anything that no longer belongs to you and is standing in the way of your life mission.
Step TWO: Water Feel a tidal wave is flooding your body and washing away all the beliefs that have been infiltrated inside of you and they never belonged to you. Allow the flood to go from head to toe and clean and clear and harmonize your body.
Step THREE: Air Imagine a tornado enter your body and allow this tornado that is standing in the way of your highest good. Any outer voices or even images. Allow the tornado to destroy it all.
Step FOUR: Earth Ground yourself into the earth. Take your rock and hold it into your hand and allow that grounding quality of earth to infiltrate and saturate your body.
Step FIVE: Feel your capacity and space inside of yourself to create.

A SPELL FOR HECATE’S WISDOM
This is a spell which uses an incantation to Hecate, the goddess of the Crossroads. She therefore can assist in the making of important decisions, which is why she is approached in this instance.
Her sacred day is Friday, so that would be the best day to perform this spell.
YOU WILL NEED
INCENSE SPECIFIC TO HECATE MADE UP OF:
- 3 parts sandalwood
- 2 parts cypress
- 1 part spearmint
SMALL BOWL CONTAINING HONEY
METHOD
- Light your incense.
- Contemplate your decision. If necessary write down all the options.
- Stand with your arms in the Goddess position (arms crossed) to acknowledge the presence.
Read the incantation below aloud and let the energy of it flow through you.
All powerful Hecate,
goddess of victory
Bestower of good fortune
and infinite wealth
Hear my prayer, that I send
through this sweet smelling smoke
Wise Watcher of the crossroads
and the forking alleyways
Of sailors, and travellers
and all journeying folk Hear me now as I too
Humbly make my approach.
Raise the bowl of honey and say:
Accept this offering of fresh clear honey
As sweet and as pure
as your fine beauty Bestow divine light
Bring me clarity
Hear my prayer now
As I choose which road.
Put the honey bowl down.
Raise your arms again in acknowledgement of Hecate.
Lower your arms.
Sit down quietly knowing that the answer will come to you and you will know which decision to make.
You may not receive an answer immediately, but rest assured that one will come. Hecate has become known as one of the Goddesses who works at night, so you may find you receive an answer through dreams.
The Witches Magick for Wednesday, February 13th – Four Quarters Moon Spell Series

Four Quarters Moon Spell Series
This relatively simple spell is repeated throughout the lunar cycle, with variations appropriate to each phase.
While each of the four spells can certainly stand alone, there is a powerful advantage to working all of them for an entire lunar cycle, to establish an energetic pattern that aligns you with the Moon’s rhythms.
You can tailor each working to your own practice by choosing your own combination of ingredients—feel free to substitute any of the suggested items below with other Moon-associated crystals, herbs, and flowers—and by stating your goals in your own words.
Each working might be focused on one aspect of the same overall goal, or the intentions for each spell may be unrelated to each other—it’s all up to you.
You will need:
3 small pieces of moonstone, smoky quartz, and/or quartz crystal
1 teaspoon dried hibiscus, anise seed, lilac, and/or Irish moss
1 white tea light or spell candle
1 work candle (optional)
Instructions:
Light the work candle, if using.
Arrange the crystals in a triangle shape around the spell candle, and then use the herbs and/or flowers to create a circle encompassing the triangle.
Spend a few moments visualizing the Moon as it looks in its current phase. (You might want to place images of the Moon on your altar or work space for help.)
Now, visualize the outcome of manifesting your goal. When you feel ready, state your goal out loud, as if it has already come to be.
Light the spell candle, and seal the spell by saying the appropriate words below (or words of your own choosing):
1st quarter (New Moon):
“For my intention I plant these seeds,
Knowing the Goddess will meet my needs.”
2nd quarter (Waxing Half):
“Day by day and night by night,
My plans are growing with the light.”
3rd quarter (Full Moon):
“Abundant thanks for abundance blessed,
and I know still more will manifest.”
4th quarter (Waning Half):
“I now release this ________ unwanted
My mind is clear and my heart undaunted.”
Leave the candle to burn out on its own. Spell candles burn between 1 – 3 hours, while tea lights tend to last longer.
