Perhaps some of you thought I had went off the deep end yesterday. Especially since I called for a boycott on a “simple” movie. A simple movie, huh! Do you have any idea how witches are portrayed in the movie. Do you? Do you know it is something as this “simple” movie that will start the hatred against us up again?
My husband watched me as I was the trailer for this movie. He told me, my eyes glowed red and were full of tears. He is a Druid and he was appalled at the movie as much as I was. I don’t know if this is just something society has come to accept as being “OK.” It’s just another movie, no this one isn’t another movie. IT IS ABOUT US, US!
I know personally I have faced a lot of fights in regards to my Religion, Witchcraft. I have never backed down, never, not even in this day and time. We have fought a long hard battle to bring The Craft so close to mainstream Religion. Are we going to idly stand by and watch our destruction begin with one movie. Think of our Ancestors, think of your great-great-grandmother, mother, anyone you know who has been a witch, now or in the past. We have all fought the good fight. I know I have my scars and they are scars I proudly bear. Because I know with each one of them, the Craft took another step forward.
Don’t let such a trashy movie as this destroy what we have worked so hard for, for what our Ancestors died for. We are witches. We should have learned from our past. If not, will our history repeat itself. Because I will be the first one to go to the stake. I will go in the name of my Religion and my Goddess.
Good Early Morning my friends,
I hope everyone has had a fantastic day. Since I lasted spoke to you, mine has went straight down hill. I had more contractors I had to deal with. I deal with the contractors here then I turn around and go home and get to deal with them again.
Then I had three calls to pick up some new creatures. One is a beaver (I will post a pic of him, well all of them), after we got him settled, I got another call for a Mother lynx and two of her kits. I love Lynxs about as good as I do Bobcats, look out, here I go again. Then late this afternoon, I got a call for a pitbull. None of the vets ever call the humane shelters, they call me. They know in the shelters, the pitbulls will automatically be put to sleep. This poor dog pushed me over the edge. I love animals and to see one with it’s ribs showings, chunks were he had been bite, scars that were appropriately cared for, it broke my heart. The vet got him, he was half dead. He had recovered enough to be sitting up in the corner of his little cage. He was shaking like a leaf. The vet told me, they didn’t know what kind of temperment he could have. Seeing him shake in the corner, I didn’t care. I sit down in the floor and talked softly to him. I called him twice and on the third time, he stood up on his shaky legs and fell in my arms. He was shaking so and of course, the I was crying. I kept telling him, he didn’t have anything else to worry about. He was safe now, I would make sure of that. Through all the tears, a great, big sloppy tongue licked my face. I hugged him, crying and laughing at the same time. Automatic bond made. I carried him to the truck. I didn’t put him in a cage or anything. I put him in the cab with me. He sit right on top of me all the way back to the country. The vet had told me and I could see, he was a young pitbull that had been used as another’s fighting partner. These pitbullfighters pick younger dogs, strong ones but they don’t think they really have that killer in them, to be sparing partners. Sparing partners for the more vicious dogs. The one I picked up had been found in a back alley in the country, just throwed away. The person who found him, thought he was dead. Till they heard a faint whimper. They threw the garbage off the top of him and he was alive. They immediately picked him up and took him to the vet. He has been at the vet’s for more than a week recovering. Now it is my turn. All I want to do is show this poor animal all the TLC I can muster.
When we got back, I made him a special place in the back of the building were the babies generally stay. When he gets strong enough, I will move him but right now he is way to weak to go outside and survive. It is 10 degrees here tonight.
Got all the critters taken care of, I came in the office for some peace and quiet. Till I got to reflecting on how expensive this week has been. I also found bills that Annie was suppose to have paid that hasn’t been paid. Well here I went to crying again, I have wrote four checks to four different contractors just to get the work started. In other words, they wanted my deductible up front just to start the jobs. Then I thought we had enough funds left, so I orders a huge order of straw and feed. Now to top it off, I have found a $524.12 power bill. Why so high? Heaters for the animals. It gets cold, they are hurt and they couldn’t survive without them. Then up pops a $378.64 water bill. No we don’t have a leak, its winter and we leave the water outlets dripping. This keeps the water from freezing in case it is not getting enough heat.
So here I am again doing something I hate to do more than anything in the world asking for donations. Any amount right now will help. If the government hadn’t pushed tas season back, we would have been find. You see I do taxes and all the money I make from that goes right straight to the refuge. So far, no calls for anyone wanting their taxes done early. I just keep thinking, make it to Spring, we will be fine. We are always ok in Spring. Make it to Spring.
Winter is a very rough time of the year for us. In fact, I hate to see Winter roll around. It is a struggle each year, just to figure out how we are going to make it through another year. This year with the figure, the computers and everything else that keeps popping up, it just seems exceptionally hard.
We need your help. I know money is tight everywhere. But like I said if we can make it just a little longer, we will be fine. We would deeply appreciate any amount, you could donate to the animals and the refuge. They have to have food, water and heat. I’ll go hungry myself before they do. All they know is that they have been mistreated for their entire lives. Now they have a chance for a brand new, loving life. I am going to see that they get that new start. You don’t realize how much a $2.00 can buy. It can buy 6 cans of cat food. $5.00 can buy a bale of straw. You see it doesn’t take much and right now we are in a very desperate situation.
Whatever you can donate, we will be deeply grateful. Spring and Summer gets here, I hope things will be better. But right now, we need your help, please.

For all our modern accomplishments, we are still searching for natural flea control methods, a safe, effective means to control fleas. Unfortunately, many flea products on the market contain ingredients such as carbaryl (Sevin), a nerve-paralyzing chemical that is endowed with a host of other side effects. DDVP (dimethyl dichlorovinyl phosphate), which is found in plastic flea collars, numbs an insect’s nervous system and sometimes has the same effect on a susceptible pet. Or there is that increasingly familiar synergist, piperonyl butoxide, recently used extensively as a booster in most all the new pyrethrum products. It has been associated with liver disorders. On the other hand, if fleas get out of control, your pet—particularly if it is very young, old or unwell—can die of flea-induced anemia.
When an adult flea lays an egg, this whitish speck drops into a carpet, a crack in a wood floor, the upholstery or a dusty corner. After a period of time (which varies according to species), the egg develops into a larva which feeds on tiny amounts of dust, debris or other organic matter. Outdoors, this larva takes up residence in the yard, usually in a shady spot, where it feeds on vegetable or animal matter. The hairy, legless larva then spins a cocoon and eventually emerges as a hungry adult, ready to jump on the nearest warm body for a meal of blood.
Because the egg, larva and cocoon stages are of various lengths in various flea species (the general range from egg to adult is 28 to 42 days), your initial attack should consist of a conscientious three- to five-week program. In this way, you’ll gradually get ahead of the massive number of fleas and eggs now sharing your pet and probably your home. If your pets stay outdoors, you can probably follow only the instructions concerning the yard, the animals and their living quarters.
The first step in natural flea control—and one you will repeat often initially—is to vacuum your house thoroughly. Not just the carpets, but under throw rugs, all floors, corners, upholstery, pillows, sofa cushions, under couches, mattresses—the works! (And don’t forget the basement.) Then either immediately burn the vacuum bag or seal it securely inside a plastic bag and dispose of it. Remember, all that dust inside the bag makes a fast-food feast for larvae. After patting yourself on the back for already cleaning up hundreds, maybe thousands, of fleas, eggs and larvae, wash all throw rugs, pets’ bedding and your bedding in water as hot as the fabric allows.
At this point you’ve made encouraging progress, but unless the next steps are taken, you’ll soon lose ground. To kill the tiny pests the vacuuming missed, sprinkle garden-grade diatomaceous earth in rugs, under sofa cushions, under mattresses and in your animal’s bedding. After three to four days, repeat the vacuum-and-wash cycle (again destroying the vacuum bag) and reapply diatomaceous earth.
While all this activity is taking place, your canine or feline friend needs some immediate attention too. Cat or dog, a bath is in order, followed by a rinse water cooled to lukewarm—and you could add a few drops of a safe herbal flea repellent oil to that rinse. When your pet is dry, a thorough brushing, combing or even vacuuming (if the process is not too terrifying to Puff or Fido) is in order. (Pick up a special flea comb from a pet store. It not only removes fleas, but helps monitor the extent of your flea problem.)
To permanently eradicate outdoor fleas requires both immediate and long-term activities. First, sprinkle garden-grade diatomaceous earth over the lawn, under bushes and in shady areas. The effectiveness of this natural product (made from the shells of tiny sea creatures called diatoms) comes from its ability to scratch the fleas’ exoskeletons and cause the insects to dehydrate and die. Reapply seven to 10 days later.
Over the years, MOTHER’S readers have offered their own nontoxic means of flea control. Here are some popular remedies.
Feed your dog or cat one clove of garlic a day. In addition to discouraging fleas, it will prevent some types of worms. Don’t, however, give garlic to pregnant pets, because it sometimes causes spontaneous abortion.
Brewer’s yeast (also called nutritional yeast) is available at most health food stores. Give large dogs one tablespoon once a day mixed into, or sprinkled on top of, their food. Try one teaspoon for cats and small dogs. Some animals love it. Others take a while to develop a taste for the yeast, but most end up begging for it.
A touch of vinegar in your pet’s water is touted as a control for both fleas and mange. With all of the above, however, it’s best to start such dietary programs long before the flea season hits.
You can also try a saltwater dip to discourage fleas. If you live near the sea, your dog might learn to love swimming in the ocean. Some especially energetic dog owners go so far as to provide small saltwater pools for their dogs to romp in.
Finally, our readers recommended putting a light six inches over a bowl of water containing a little dishwashing detergent. The heat attracts the fleas, which fall in the water and drown.
Since fleas are such persistent and prolific creatures, we recommend you combine all these natural remedies in your war against them.

The current leading up to the Leo Full Moo3 (Jan 26th), is one of expressing many sides of your personality. The stimulating vibes of Uranus will meet the vitalizing Sun in the sign it rules, Aquarius (opposite to Leo). Breaking out of the usual thought loops is not just mentally stimulating, but refreshing to the spirit, too. Fixed signs4 (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius), especially in the 7 degree range, can find it illuminating.

working out some more bugs this week before it was over with! One of the little devils crawled out of the keyboard, well really off the computer screen.
I gave everyone here at the WOTC the week off (except the guys & gal that helps with the critters). I did that were I could fix the computer and have some quiet time. I wanted the time to myself to fix the computers right. Well I did. The two computers were so screwed up, I had to wipe them totally clean. Then come to find out, Annie had dug through the disks’ files, mixed them all up and she had no earthly idea where the backup disks to the computers were. So I said fine, I will see you next week, all of you. Then I wiped the computers clean from their hard drives. I don’t what she did but nothing would come up on either one of the computers. I was able to open the computers up through their safe mode settings and go from there.
In the process of replacing everything else, I had to go and try to find the Microsoft Works package. When I found it, it was only $164.00. I said crap. That amount of money would feed and pay the light bill here, I couldn’t afford that. So instead, I went and downloaded this half-assed piece of poop. I believe it is called Office Open or Open Office, something like that. Anyway it has a mind of its own. I put the margins in place, go to type, their gone. I can be typing one spot, then my cursor is back at the beginning and I have screwed it all up.
Today, my good mood got shot down quickly. I put the Almanac on there, the Spell, Life As The Witch. I selected paste all of it. It was plainly left on the program here on my computer. I put it over in my old group on Yuku, thank goodness. By the time I got back to get the Correspondence, everything was gone. EVERYTHING!
So now, I am using the little notepad on my computer. I know ya’ll get tired of listening to me bitch but I swear if someone doesn’t know what they are doing, why do they do it anyway. WHY!
When it came to the horoscopes, the notepad wouldn’t cooperate at all. So I just stopped. I am trying to figure out what I am going to have to do. I know what I need to do but you can’t squeeze blood from a turnip.
Believe me, it does feel good to get this stuff off my chest. It is also a good thing I gave everyone in the office the week off. Or else you would have been reading about me in the paper. I don’t know it will work out somehow I hope. Just have a little more patience, please. I will get these programs back on these computers eventually.
I appreciate the patience you have already had with me. How about we say the heck with it and do some spells now.
The morning is when the magickal momentum of our day is set into motion. So it’s an especially powerful time for shaping the flavor or our day and the harmonics of your mood (i.e., the way we preceive and process our day). There are several tune-in exercises. Try them out, and once you find what works for you, do your best to make them as habitual as brushing your teeth.
As soon as you open your eyes and get ready to get out of bed, remind yourself that the day belongs to you. Also remind yourself that everything you do in this day wil be a decision and a choice–that there is nothing that you do that you did not choose to do. (Even if it’s something you don’t want to do, recognize that you are still choosing to do it so that you can and occurrences you’d like to experience during the upcoming day as well as the feelings that go along with them (very important step).
Write down your intentions for the day in the present tense, as if they are already true. These feelings or actual occurrences. For example, you might write things like, “I love myself,” “My cats are safe and happy,” “I receive the such and such job offer or something better,” “I’m wonderfully comfortable in my own skin,” “The trip to the vet goes as smoothly as possible,” “I am having a great hair day,” “I am wealthy and receive generous sums of money from expected and unexpected sources,” “I am awake to the magick of life,” and/or “I embody the God/dess.” You might write an entire page worth, and then write “Thank you, thank you, thank you. Blessed be. And so it is.” And then sign and date.
I know you’re busy, but this doesn’t need to take longer than five minutes. Sit comfortably, relax, and call on your divine helper(s) of choice to clear, fine-tune, and shield your energy field. Visualize/imagine/feel this happening. Then consciously connect with the core of the Earth and the cosmic light of the Universe. You might do this by sending roots of light down into the Earth and branches of light up into the sky. Draw golden Earth light up from the Earth and into your body/energy field, then draw sparkly rainbow light down from the Cosmos and into your body/energy field. Think or say something like “I am one with the Earth and Sky. I am one wih te God/dess, and I am in the divine flow. All information is available to me. All power is available to me. I am always in the perfect place at the perfect time doing the perfect thing. I always know just what to do. Magickal authority is mine.”

See I butter you up with a beautiful graphic, now here it comes, lol! I don’t know what they have done to WordPress but I am having to go back and do everything 5 or 6 times (in html codes). So hopefully I can get my thought through without going to that extreme again.
I just want to make this short as possible. In the comment section in the back, we constantly have people wanting love spells or a spell to get their “ex’s” back or something like that. I always tell them no. Then a few days later, I get a note telling me they have found a “real” spellcaster and they are doing the spell for them. And get this for only $75.00, yes $75.00 for a love spell. What a bargain! Perhaps if we didn’t have one ounce of moral fiber to our being we could all get rich that way, huh?
It is true, you will find Love Spells on this site. Why? People ask for them. We provide what our friends and followers want. But we are continuously expressing these words, “do not use a love spell that will interfere with another person’s freewill. NEVER!” If you are having someone casting you a love spell that will return an ex-lover to you or attract a certain person to you, YOU ARE MESSING WITH THEIR FREEWILL! It is a Law of Magick, you never interfere with another person freewill, never, ever. If you do, Karma will bite you in the ass. Oh, yes it will. What do you think is going to happen when this person finds out they were called to you because of a spell? I think if it was me, I would have a few words for you, then leave. You are not meant to find love that way. It doesn’t work that way. I am sorry if you are lonely and think the right person in your life will never come along. But casting a spell is not the way to get a lover, get a cat. Then I guarantee you a lover will show up then you will be wondering what to do with the cat, lol!
All kidding aside, our Laws forbid us to mess with another individual’s freewill. Perhaps you think paying someone to do it for you won’t have an effect on you. Wrong again! Karma will still get you. You are still breaking our Laws. Besides a spellcaster that takes your money and does you such a good job, they are breaking our Laws also. We are never to charge for our services to mankind. The main reason we are given our Power is to help and assist mankind. Not to manipulate his/her freewill or charge others for our services.
There are ways to call love into your life, if that is what you wish. But it is not by me casting a spell for you. For starters, my intent would never be as strong as yours. You are the one desiring love not me. Second, I am not having Karma bite me. I am going to give my advice whether you want it or not (and you know who you are). You can do a love spell on your own. But never manipulate a person’s freewill. Got you puzzled now, don’t I? At the end of the spell open it up to the Universe. Say, “If it be the Universe’s will, then so be it!” Not, John Doe, I love you and you will come to me. Leave it open to a higher power, accept the Fate the Universe deals you. Perhaps at this time in your life, your path is complicated and you don’t have time for love. Maybe you don’t realize it but the Universe does. Either have patience or use the words, I have given you. But never, ever interfere with a person’s freewill. And never pay another person to cast a spell for you. Both of these are against our Laws.
I know there are things in my life, I do not like at times. I have the Power to change them if I wanted to. But somewhere down the line I would be manipulating with something, I know that. So whether or not I like it, I accept the hand I have been dealt and deal with it. I know the Goddess and the Universe knows what is best for me. I know if I live my life according to our Laws, everything will be work out. Have patience, things will work out for you too. Just don’t be manipulating any freewill or paying a spellcaster to cast spells for you. It all reflects back on you and your Karma and I guarantee you one thing, Karma will get you one way or another.
Think out your actions long and hard, then act.

Come Together
We humans have a knack for coming together and rising up to our potential in the face of a tragedy. Natural disasters and acts of violence bring us out of our small selves and into the world, ready to lend a hand to those in need. This experience is often life-changing for those who are willing to step into the position of helper. We feel as if we are finally doing something really important, and this leads us to feeling more self-actualized. We feel more connected to the people we are helping, as well as more connected to humanity in general. As we expand beyond the boundaries of our individualistic pursuit of happiness there can be a complete reality shift. We often find that it is much easier to be happy when we are motivated in an effort to make the world better in tangible ways, by coming to the rescue of those who are suffering.
Considering the many benefits of this kind of gesture, it is surprising that more of us don’t devote our lives, or at least some portion of our time, to serving people in need. We don’t have to wait for a tragedy to come together, as a community or a nation, and offer ourselves to the world in service. Sometimes it’s easier, of course, to respond to an event that has just happened rather than to ongoing problems like homelessness, poverty, and illness. But the truth of this world is that there is always someone in need of our best efforts to rally a group of helpers and healers. Maybe we feel discouraged because these smaller acts and gestures don’t generate the same kind of energy and attention from other people as heroic acts in the face of immediate disaster, and perhaps an effort to change this is one way to change the world.
The more we promote, applaud, and actively inspire humanitarian efforts in the world, the more others will be drawn to this kind of work. We might pay a little less attention to sports and celebrity gossip and a little more attention to those everyday heroes who devote their lives to alleviating suffering. The more attention we pay, the more we will inspire others and ourselves to be of service in a world that greatly needs our attention.
This definitely says it all, LOL!
I am using new software. Since I was ill no one worked the bugs out of it. So I am working them out as I go. That is why the blog is going so slow today. I apologize and I hope I can work these bugs out or else I will be borrowing a can of Raid, LOL!

Do you remember the interesting story of the lion and the mouse in Aesop’s Fable’s? The lion could have crushed the mouse but was merciful and let it go free. A year later the lion became entangled and the mouse nibbled its way through the net to set it free.
It is a dangerous thing to wade through other people’s feelings, burning our bridges and believing we will never need them again. The saddest persons on earth must be those who find they have tried to destroy the only one who can help them.
The smallest and seemingly most insignificant has a purpose in this world, and it isn’t for us to judge what that purpose is. We have enough to do in finding our own.
As in the fable, we must remember, “Few are so small or weak, I guess….but may assist us in distress….nor shall we ever….if we’re wise….the meanest of the least despise.”
