BE THANKFUL

Celtic Comments & Graphics

BE THANKFUL

Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire.

If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don’t know something,

For it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times. During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations,

Because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge,

Because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes.

They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you’re tired and weary,

Because it means you’ve made an effort.

It’s easy to be thankful for the good things.

A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.

Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.

Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings.

2014 Numerology Predictions

2014 Numerology Predictions

Reaching our limits

Hans Decoz   Hans Decoz on the topics of numerology, horoscopes, 2014

2014 is the year when we become aware — aware of the destructive nature and the inherent danger that exist in a world of extremes. We will begin to see a trend this year, through all areas of human life, to search for ways to bring us together. There will be people in power who change overnight, and institutions that will reconsider their ideologies, giving us hope … but we will also see the negative forces become more desperate and violent.

The number 7 rules the year 2014 — it is a 7 Universal Year, because 2 + 0 + 1 + 4 = 7. The number 7 is analytical and self-examining. It starts a turnaround as, even the mind, as cold as it is, recognizes that duality doesn’t benefit anyone.

But other numbers play a role too… In the chart below, which breaks down the year 2014, the numbers in the upper half show the positive influences of this 7 Universal Year, which are found by continuously adding the digits in a pyramid-like system. The numbers in the lower half show the negative influences, and are the result of subtracting. They are therefore mirrors of each other. The strongest relationship any one number in this chart has, is with its mirrored partner.

The 9 at the top represents compassion and empathy, while the negative influence of its mirrored partner, the 1 at the bottom, reflects egotism and cruelty. The contrast is obvious and appropriate. The 3 and the 6 in the upper half tell us that art and communication (3), and a deepening sense of responsibility (6) will be the primary channels through which the energy of the 9 flows in 2014, while their mirrored partners, the hostile 1 and the sly 2, oppose them. The 5 represents a big change or shocking and unexpected event around October or November of 2014, caused in large part by miscommunication (the 3 below it).

A matter of extremes

Since the year 2008 — the first year of this current nine-year epicycle that runs through 2016 — we’ve been experiencing an extreme increase in polarization. This schism affects the human race across the globe. Whether political, social, economic, environmental, or religious, our positions tend to be more and more black and white. Gray, the color of compromise, is no longer in-vogue.

Polarization is the quintessence of a climaxing force delivered to us precisely on schedule by this nine-year cycle. It’s a natural, if difficult and painful, part of our evolution. As a species, we are young and immature, given to rebel and push the envelope. We have created long-term instability in our environment, economy, and social structure because we can’t see beyond the desire for instant and superficial satisfaction.

Extremes continue to rule during this nine-year cycle, after which we enter a new nine-year cycle that is dominated by information. The 2017 – 2026 epicycle will see the end of many centuries of long-held secrets. No one will be able to hide then, no institution will be able to hold on to its secrets. Light will shine on everything, and symbolize the most dramatic change in history.

January 1 – Daily Feast

January 1 – Daily Feast

If, like a Cherokee warrior, I can look at the new year as an opportunity to stand on new ground, then strength and courage are on my side. If I have waited a long time for everything to be perfect – and there have been moments, brief as they were, that filled my expectations – then I can face the challenges. I will remember that things do work out, bodies do heal, relationships mend – not because I said it, but because I believe it. But it is time to make things right, to stay on the path. As water runs fresh and free from the woodland spring, so new life and meaning will bubble up from my own inner source. I will be still and steady, because there is nothing to be gained by showing fear in a chaotic world. I can turn from ignorance and prejudice toward a light that never goes out.

~ The death of fear is in doing what you fear to do. ~

Daily Feng Shui News for Dec. 31 – ‘New Year’s Eve Traditions’

Happy New Year’s Eve! If you want to attract more money in the coming year, then clean out your wallet of all old receipts and fill it with twenty-seven one dollar bills and forty-nine coins. Don’t forget to open your front door at midnight and throw both money and orange peels into the entryway. Leave them there until January second. The word ‘orange’ in Mandarin Chinese sounds exactly like the word for ‘gold,’ something it’s believed to attract. Opening all of the doors and the windows at midnight will also allow old or stuck energies to depart while inviting healthy, fresh and abundant ones to come and stay for the whole of your next fortune-filled New Year.

Good Thanksgiving Morning, dear family & friends!

I have a request,  Please don’t run off because I showed up. Today is going to be a very short edition of our daily publications. I will be here probably a hour or two, then I have to run off to my daughter’s house.

I just wanted to take a moment and spend some time with my online family today.  I don’t know if you believe or celebrate Thanksgiving but I know I do. I have always said it, “Pagans have the best of everything!” That is probably why we had so much of our traditions and practices stolen from us, lol! A fight for another day, not today!  I don’t view Thanksgiving as a religious holiday. I believe it is part of my American heritage just as well as my Celtic heritage is. I do stop to thank the Goddess for all the wonderful gifts and blessings She has given me. I thank the Goddess for bringing each and everyone of you into my life.  You have touched my heart and soul so much. I can feel your love, support and caring every time I am here. I am very proud and honored to be able to call each of you my family. I have truly been blessed.

I hope each and everyone has a very blessed and joyous Thanksgiving Day. Don’t eat too much, stay safe, and stay warm.

Happy Thanksgiving, dear family and friends!

Love & Blessings,

Lady A & The WOTC

Samhain Comments & Graphics

Lady of the Harvest, now is the time
to feast and frolic, for we meet
on the edge of Winter’s shadow.
All the seed that was sown in
Springtime past has long
been reaped;
the fields stand barren, empty
and the spirit shall soon turn inward.
The world’s fabric grows thin and
souls of the dead pass by on their
way to the Summerland.
Bless their passing, for though to some it
seems an ending,
this exodus of spirit foreshadows new beginnings.
Thus do we celebrate the dawn of the New Year.
Blessed Be.

Feng Shui Tip for February 13th – ‘Eve of Valentine’s Day’

On this eve of Valentine’s Day it’s only appropriate that tonight’s energies center around dreaming of your sweetie. So here’s a time-tested way of finding out exactly who that sweetie might be. Pick a sprig of fresh rosemary and infuse it with the intention of finding out the name of your intended. Place the herb under your pillow and before slipping off to sleep think about seeing your love in your dreams. Whenever you wake be sure to recall the players who pepper your dream state and know that one of them is getting ready to spice up your love life. That name will come to you if you relax and let it. And then remember that a rose(mary) by any other name will smell just as sweet!

If Our Pets Made Our New Year’s Resolutions

If Our Pets Made Our New Year’s Resolutions

While people have been making their own new year’s resolutions, I decided to  let my dogs, Sanchez and Gina, make mine for me. Here’s what they had to say:

  • Take more walks (with us)
  • Spend more time at the piano (We love sleeping under it while you  play.)
  • Take more breaks from the computer
  • Remember to play (especially with us)
  • Make  more dog treats for us
  • Brag  about us every day
  • Perform more concerts for dogs
  • Be patient with me in my senior years (from Sanchez). I’m giving you an opportunity  to slow down and remember that every moment in life is a gift.
  • More agility training PLEASE (from Gina)
  • Help more homeless dogs

If your pets made your new year’s resolutions, what would they say?

HELLO WORLD!!!! A Glorious & Blessed Friday To All My Dear Family & Friends!

Gothic Comments
Oh, what a beautiful, beautiful day it is here? The sun is shining brightly, not a cloudy in the sky, looks like a perfect day to go run in the field. Till you look at the temperature gauge out the window, it is just 22 degrees out there, golly gee! I had some errands to run yesterday that is why the Countess filled in. It was suppose to be about 28 degrees yesterday. I had on a tee shirt and a sweater and it felt fine to me. I know Kiki loved it to pieces. She has her own little bed in the truck (not spoiled at all). When she gets in the first thing she does is rut around in the bed like a little baby pig. I guess she thinks there has been somebody sleeping in her bed!

Well can you believe it, the first week of the New Year is almost over. Before you know it, we will be saying goodbye to 2013 and hello to 2014. Really I hope not. I have made one New Year’s Resolution this year, it is to stop and smell the Roses. I mean really smell them. You know sniff in all the pollen and everything, lol! I guess I took something away from last year, never, ever take any minute we have in life for granted. Every little second is precious, oh, so precious. I have learned the meaning of “I’m going to seize the day!” I use to scratch my head at that one. Now I know, get up in the morning and live the day like it was your last one. I also learned something else, cherish your memories and hold your loved ones in your heart always. For as long as they live in your heart, they are never truly gone.

Before I take down the New Year graphics, I have one last blessing for the New Year. I wish everyone of you a very Happy & Blessed New Year. A New Year full of love, family, joy, comfort and most of all peace. Peace to you my family and Peace to the entire World.

Goddess Bless You,
Love,

Lady A

Oh, Great & Glorious Mother,

At the start

Of this New Year

When thoughts turn again

To beginnings

Starting afresh

New leave

And turning skeletons

Free from cupboards

Be with us

As we gaze into the distance

Of fresh mission grounds

Of hopes and dreams

Opportunities for service

Challenges

And uncertainties

Take our fears

And turn them into strengths

Take our lack of faith

And empower us

Though thy very Spirit

Who breathes life into this world

Whose presence is reflected

In the icy chill

Of winter’s breath

As well as the comforting warmth

Of a summer breeze.

Walk with us into this New Year

Of opportunity and growth.

So Mote It Be!

Daily Motivator for January 1 – New, improved year

New, improved year

There’s one key factor that will make this New Year the best one ever. That  important factor is your attitude.

The way you most consistently decide to see life will play a major role in  the way your life actually unfolds. Right now, as the year begins, make the  choice to make your life, and your whole world, the best it can be.

Create a new, improved year by going through it with a new, improved outlook  on life. Make this a great year by choosing an attitude that reflects your own  unique greatness.

In the year ahead you’ll encounter many obstacles, and yet there’s one  powerful obstacle you don’t ever have to deal with again. That obstacle, the one  you can get rid of for good, is your own negative attitude.

Just because things can often get difficult, doesn’t mean you have to be  difficult. No matter what the situation, a positive, empowering attitude is  always your best choice.

Stride confidently forward with the highest and best expectations you’ve ever  had. Your life this year is what you make it, so embrace an attitude that will  make it positive, fulfilling and great.

Firsts for the New Year Spell

Firsts for the New Year Spell

The Japanese have a wonderful custom of honoring the New Year’s “firsts,” which they call hatsu. Among the  first activities they note on this day are the first day of work, the first visit to temple and the first practice session for artists. You should note your  “firsts” this year, and practice kakizome or the act of “first writing.” To do so, choose your favorite poem, prayer, or passage of  writing. Copy the passage in your best handwriting on to a sheet of the best and whitest paper you can find. The paper sybolizes the pure New Year, a time  when much is possible. This practice serves as a good luck charm for a year begun in beauty. And a year begun well, ends well.
