And all is fun. In a snap,

Sending this out in a run.

I will slap

These, two pennies, down, into one.”

PERTH

Initiation, Something Concealed, A Secret Thing

Deep, inner trans formative powers are interacting, but what you are going to get out of them isn’t easy to recognize. An integrity – concealed, disguised, secretly hidden. After all, what is going to heal us and our soul is a deep mystery. On the side of the material world there probably will be surprises; unexpected profits are nothing to be excluded. Nothing less than a renewal your spirit is the risk you take. The old way found its end: You simply cannot repeat the old things any longer without suffering. However, you always have a chance: Either you see all negative as a “misfortune”, or you recognize the entire as a hindrance stretch, an inaugural way that you have to follow at this moment.

Coll

C, sometimes read as K, is Coll, which is the Hazel tree. August is known as the Hazel Moon, because this is when Hazel nuts appear on the trees–the world Coll translates to “the life force inside you”, and what better symbol of life than the nut itself? Hazel is associated with wisdom and creativity and knowledge. Sometimes it is connected in Celtic lore with magical springs, sacred wells, and divination.

Hazel was a handy tree to have around. It was used by many English pilgrims to make staffs for use upon the road–not only was it a sturdy walking stick, it also provided a modicum of self-defense for weary travelers. Certainly, it could have been used as well for ritual. Hazel was used in weaving of baskets by medieval folk, and the leaves were fed to cattle because it was believed this would increase the cow’s supply of milk.

In the Irish myth cycles, there is a tale that nine hazel nuts dropped into a sacred pool. A salmon came along in the pool and gobbled up the nuts, which then imbued him with wisdom. A variation of the story appears in the legend of Finn Mac Cumhail, who ate the salmon and then took on the knowledge and wisdom of the fish. Note that Mac Cumhail is often translated as Mac Coll.

Coll Correspondences

Mundane Aspects: Take advantage of your own artistry or creativity, and share your knowledge with others so they too can practice these arts. Lead by example, and teach those who wish to learn. Find inspiration for your creative gifts, whatever your talent may be.

Magical Aspects: Let the divine guide you in your creative journey. Speak to the gods through your art, and be rewarded with inspiration. If you’re stuck in a creative rut, call upon the Divine to send you a Muse.

Hexagram Forty-Eight/48

Ching / The Well

Deep Waters Penetrated and drawn to the surface:
The Superior Person refreshes the people with constant encouragement to help one another.

Encampments, settlements, walled cities, whole empires may rise and fall, yet the Well at the center endures, never drying to dust, never overflowing.
It served those before and will serve those after.
Again and again you may draw from the Well, but if the bucket breaks or the rope is too short there will be misfortune.

SITUATION ANALYSIS:

There is a Source common to us all.
Jung named it the Collective Unconscious.
Others hail it as God within.
Inside each of us are dreamlike symbols and archetypes, emotions and instincts that we share with every other human being.
When we feel a lonely separateness from others, it is not because this Well within has dried up, but because we have lost the means to reach its waters.
You need to reclaim the tools necessary to penetrate to the depths of your fellows.
Then the bonds you build will be as timeless and inexhaustible as the Well that nourishes them.

Seven

Positive qualities

The main strength of the Seven is the ability to think. Think for real. That is, they can set a question and then use logic, erudition and insight to find the answer.

In fact, quite a few are capable of doing such, which gives you a distinct advantage in most situations. It is quite natural that people regard you as a wise advisor.

Another positive quality is your inner tranquility. You can fire up and start yelling because of any trifle, but it is virtually impossible to bring you out of balance and make you lose your head.

Negative qualities

Clearly negative features of the Seven are their inherent cynicism, misanthropy, groundless suspicion and certain wildness in their behavior.

You do not care about what they think or say, so you do not give yourself trouble to show good manners, or even common courtesy. If you want to, you can “teach a lesson in etiquette” in such an insulting form that the other person will feel offended.

Moreover, you seize every moment to demonstrate your independence and unwillingness to be part of the crowd. So you will never become a darling of all hearts.

Muin

Pronunciation – M-win, Moon

Tree Association – Vine

Meaning – Goals are coming to fruition, persuasion, celebration, relaxing, harvesting, and play. Muin wonderfully symbolizes the metaphor of reaping what we’ve sown. Now is a time for pleasure, to rest, and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Vine produces grapes which creates wine that allows us to let go of self-conscience thoughts, allowing for creative inspiration, a relaxed altered consciousness, and revealing truths. It also represents deceit, fallacies, or denial of facts. Remember to continuously pursue the origin or source of any information you receive. Proceed with caution before acting on any facts or advice you’ve been given.

If reversed – a sign of extreme indulgence and serves as a reminder that outstanding achievements also require self-discipline. Watch for indications of dishonesty, misrepresentation, or tall tales.

Inscription and Magical Uses – Helpful when seeking creative inspiration, inner growth, seeking truth, spiritual wisdom, or for help with communication.

The Hierophant – Major Arcana

Meanings in a Tarot Reading…

Upright Position

The Upright position of The Hierophant suggests that you are thinking about joining a group, religious or any other type.

That would mean that you should conform to their rules, adapt to the system and fit in.

Doing what is expected and devoting energy to the group is the next thing to do.

The appearance of this card in a reading might indicate that you are giving your power away to someone or even to a group of people.

You might not be taking responsibility for your life and beliefs so you surrender your free will to others.

The Hierophant might also represent a role model in your life, someone you look up to.

Learn what you need from this person and then create your own beliefs and opinions.

This card represents initiation so you can expect some kind of change to occur in your life.

It can represent baptism, marriage, a funeral, entering a college or graduation. You can also expect some kind of spiritual initiation.

When it appears in a spread, The Hierophant might suggest you are following a new belief system.

The loss of some individuality in your life will be balanced by the great sensation of being a part of something bigger than yourself.

Reversed

When The Hierophant comes in a reversed position, it talks of rebellion and breaking the rules. You might be feeling oppressed by the old rules so now it’s the time to be free and take your own decisions.

This card appears in reversed position at key points – you might want to leave school or quit your job.

Traditional ways do not appeal to you anymore and you want to do things your way.

If you belong to a group, The Hierophant might indicate that you are feeling forced to conform to the rules of the group but you do not actually agree with them.

The appearance of this card might suggest a scandal caused by immoral behavior. This may lead of your expulsion from a group – your family, the church, or friends

Nuin

Communication, transit, distribution, messaging, swiftness, sense of humor

Tree: Ash (Fraxinus spp.)

Letter: N

Social intelligence is a highly underrated skill. The thousands of factors that go into communicating effectively with others (human or otherwise) takes a level of intelligence that is too subtle and complex to be measured… social intelligence is an art. Nuin is a Few that speaks to speed and dexterity in communication, usually in putting a message out there to the community. Nuin means you are linked in to a community and are open to both receiving and transmitting messages. If you are working on your communication skills and reaching people (which we should all be doing) then Nuin indicates it is working.

Nuin has ties to the Norse god Odin (Germanic Wotan) who has ties to the Roman god Mercury. Mercury is the messenger, god of commercial enterprises, communication, and thieves. You can see why ancient Mercury might have a liking for the modern internet. Odin purposefully blinded himself in one eye as a price for accessing Knowledge. This myth is not meant to be taken literally, of course. Some deep thought would suggest that Odin forced himself to brutally limit himself to half the information (becoming Odin One-Eye) in order to gain all the knowledge. The lesson in the Odin myth is that great knowledge comes at a price: you have to ruthlessly limit the noise to receive the signal.

Ill-dignified excess: Too much information
Too much information equals distraction. Allowing too much news, internet chatter, television, movies, gossip, and random information into your mind is often a recipe for overload and misery. Limit your diet of electronic babble and make sure to temper exposure to our toxic modern culture with time spent with growing things, rivers, forests, and meadows. Instagram, social media, television, advertising, and petty politics cast a form of black magic upon the beholder, hypnotizing us into feelings of inadequacy so we will buy more products. Nuin ill-dignified in excess could also indicate you are watering down your message by giving too much away about yourself. Don’t write a novel or orate a speech when a well-considered paragraph or epithet will do.

Ill-dignified dearth: Failure or unwillingness to communicate
Presuming people know your mind is problematic, but presuming they both know your mind and agree with you is ten times worse. Has anyone ever tried to reach you via any method possible, including spam advertisements, cold calls, or stalking? Don’t be that spammer/caller/stalker guy. This could also indicate you or someone else is not using resources at hand to communicate or is not putting the care into communication that it deserves. Don’t be the boob who can’t be bothered with the formalities of hello, goodbye, please, thank you, unabbreviated words, and spell check. Whether not being able to communicate with others is born out of misanthropy or earnest bumbling, the result is the same: you still send a clear message about your shortcomings. Nuin is suggesting you or someone affecting your life should learn the challenging skill of how to communicate with others.

Seven

The 7 is the seeker, the thinker, the searcher of truth.

The Numerology Meaning of the Number 7: THE PHILOSOPHER

The 7 doesn’t take anything at face value, and always strives to understand the hidden truth. The 7 knows nothing is exactly as it seems and reality is often hidden behind illusion.

A person who has a chart dominated by the 7 is easily picked out in a group.

They will be somewhat introverted, perhaps shy (not to be confused with low self-esteem), and never entirely comfortable in social settings.

The 7 is an intellectual, but their intellect isn’t always obvious, especially at an early age. (As a child, Einstein had dyslexia and wasn’t a particularly bright student.)

The 7’s intelligence appears in the form of a dreamer. They are intellectual explorers of the obscure and tend to have an off-beat perspective of the world around them. Many 7s are interested in the metaphysical, not because they are believers, but because it allows access to the abstract world of questions that have no clear answers.

The number 7 is spiritual but not religious.

The age-old questions surrounding what life is all about- why we are here, who we are, and so forth – are essential to the 7’s life-experience. They don’t stop looking for the answers they seek until they die.

The number 7 can be aloof, hates gossip, and is immune to small-minded backstabbing. Money means little to the 7, and they will rarely make a decision based on an expected financial outcome.

There is a dry, usually misunderstood sense of humor to the 7, yet it is unable to recall jokes easily. A 7 individual is rarely cheerful and never superficial.

7 has excellent taste, along with a natural love and understanding of art.

They dislike or entirely ignore fashion, and popular beautiful-but-shallow people bore a 7 to no end. Rather, 7s are attracted to the eccentric. They are not always interested in politics but have a strong sense of justice.

A 7 doesn’t typically care about professional sports or other team activities. They are not warriors, but you may find some people who have the 7 dominating their charts in the military, most likely as analysts or strategic planners. More often, you will find them in the world of academics and science. Police detectives, laboratory researchers, and other careers where logic and methodical analysis are the main requirements fit 7s well.

On the negative side, the 7 can be cynical, verbally abusive, arrogant, and oblivious to the pain and suffering of others.

The 7 is opinionated and tends to know a bit about everything, which can be annoying to others. They are not always honest, often choosing a more “interesting” truth than the actual truth.

Many people are uncomfortable around 7s due to their penetrating eyes – creating the sense that, even when they seem to be listening, they’re actually analyzing the shape of your face and the crevices of your earlobes.

They can be cold-hearted, cruel, and show a lack of empathy. Other peoples’ problems simply don’t interest them, but when it comes to their troubles, they expect everyone to feel for them. They can be selfish, anti-social, demanding patients, exasperating know-it-alls, and just plain rude.

The essence of the number 7 symbolizes our struggle to know and understand.

What’s unique about the 7 is that their mind is their greatest tool as well as their most significant limitation. Logical, flexible, and hungry for knowledge, the 7’s mind goes places other numbers rarely approach. Their imagination is vast and powerful, which guides them into spiritual stratospheres others will never know. The 7 digs deep, but is always intellectual and rational.

The satisfaction they derive from mental exploration allows a 7 to enjoy many hours in solitude. At the same time, they put too much faith in the power of the mind; this can limit their ability to experience the essence of life, which can be known only through experience, not through thought or words.

The Tao Te Ching mentions, “Those who know do not speak. Those who speak do not know.” Similarly, life in its purest form can only be felt and experienced, never defined. For 7s to reach a height of spiritual wisdom, they must travel beyond their mind’s limitations and allow the inner silence to spill its secrets.

HARE

Although hares and rabbits look similar, they have very different symbolism. A hare is bigger than a rabbit, has longer ears, and possesses more powerful hind legs. The two most abundant kinds are the European Brown Hare and the Snowshoe Hare. The Snowshoe Hare is strongly linked to the Snowy Owl population, such that when hare populations are down, the owls stop breeding, and even die from starvation. The hare is more solitary and tougher than the rabbit. Hares don’t live in warrens or have maternity nests. The young hares are born so well-developed that they can fend for themselves within a few hours of their birth.

The hare is associated with a number of myths from many different cultures. The Algonquin tribe honored the Great Hare as a demiurge, a role in the creation of the world. The Egyptians also saw the hare involved in a creation story. For them, the hare came to mean procreation, and then immorality. While the hare is often associated with impatience and haste (like the “Tortoise and the Hare” fable), it’s important to note that other cultures, like the Goths, saw the hare as fleet and swift, and symbols of diligence. This reflects the attitudes of medieval hunters, who viewed hares as a challenge to catch.

Hare people are considered sensitive and artistic, and also linked with ambition, fitness, and virtue. However, the hare is not just associated with positive things. Hares are also thought of as greedy and selfish, even a bad example for people. Hare is seen as a jokester, linked with trickery and fraud. Even those with hare medicine are clever, often unreliable, and frequently thinking of themselves.

Although hare has some qualities that are less than redeeming, there are things he can teach us. Because they move in leaping and hopping motions, those with rabbit and hare totems can expect changes in their own lives in the same kind of movement. Hare can also aid people in recognizing the signs around them by attuning to lunar cycles and understanding the tides of movement in their own lives.

CROSSROADS

This rune indicates a more difficult path where things are not so easy.

The Crossroads represents not only quarrels and misunderstandings but also discipline and mastery over the self.

It is not necessarily bad luck, but rather slow, substantial gains.

The Crossroads suggest maintaining the status quo, understanding boundaries and limitations, make a sustained practical effort, practical matters and solid achievement.

Relationships may be on shaky ground when one of these elements is sacrificed at the expense of another.

This rune stresses basic concerns and could indicate feeling boxed in. There may even be a feeling of discouragement. But you will soon discover innate strength and resources giving your achievements more meaning.

COLL/CALL

FIVE

The most vibrant, freedom-loving of all numbers in numerology

A DYNAMIC FORCE

The 5 is unpredictable, always in motion, and constantly in search of change.

Although it is molded from an almost equal mix of freedom-loving and loyal characteristics, the 5 is slightly more daring, and there is nothing submissive about it.

The 5 is extremely independent in mind and soul.

Many 5s choose careers that require travel or otherwise offer a regular change of environment. People working in the travel industry, small business owners, independent consultants, lawyers, and those in sales often have the 5 in their core numbers.

The 5 can adjust quickly to pretty much anything coming their way.

Perhaps the most dominating trait of the 5 is the uncompromising demand for freedom in thought and action.

On the negative side, the 5 can be selfish, thoughtless, and irresponsible.

Some of the Witchcraft/Magickal Correspondence for Sunday

(YOU CAN COPY AND PASTE ANY CORRESPONDENCES POSTED TO A DOCUMENT TO PRINT AND/OR SAVE ON YOUR COMPUTER FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY)

The Magical Day Of Sunday

In many traditions of Paganism, days of the week are very important aspects of effective spellcasting. For example, spells to do with abundance or prosperity could be done on Thursday, because it is associated with riches and desire. When casting a spell concerning business or communication, one might prefer to work on a Wednesday due to its associations.

While not all traditions follow this rule, when you’re doing any sort of magical working, always be sure to document the day of the week you’re performing the spell.

You might be surprised later on to see some connections!

Sunday Magical Correspondences

Sunday is associated with the colors yellow and gold, which shouldn’t be surprising – it’s the day of the sun, right? Because of this planetary association, this is a day that’s also connected to solar deities like Helios and Ra. Interestingly, in some Celtic traditions, Brighid’s day is Sunday as well.

When it comes to crystal use, Sunday is related to quartz crystals and diamonds, as well as the yellowish hues of carnelian and amber. For herbs and plants in magical workings, use marigolds, sunflowers or cinnamon.

What kind of magic is best performed on Sunday? Well, it’s a day that generally has a number of associations – agriculture, beauty, hope, victory, self-expression and creativity are all connected to this particular day. Plant or harvest something new (not just material crops, but metaphysical ones as well), create something from nothing, and prepare to win at everything.

Spell for Tomorrow – Healing Water Enchantment

(YOU CAN COPY AND PASTE ANY SPELLS POSTED TO A DOCUMENT TO PRINT AND/OR SAVE ON YOUR COMPUTER FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY. You can find the origin of the spell by clicking on the hyperlink.)

Healing Water Enchantment

Ingredients:

  • A glass of water (that’s it!)

I prefer to use a glass, but you can use a plastic bottle if it’s all you have. Water is the perfect liquid to imprint with your intensions, so this spell is super simple but instantly powerful.

Hold the glass of water between your hands and say whatever you most need. For example:

My migraine is gone and I am full of health.

Close your eyes as you say these words and focus on putting all of your energy into the water. Raise as much energy as you can (I raise energy through my feet from the earth and send it out through my hands) and picture the outcome that you want. Do this for at least 2 minutes.

Once you have enchanted the water, drink it within the hour for optimal results.
