A to Z – A Wiccan Glossary
AKASHA: the spiritual ether (or Aether); the omnipresent fifth occult element which embraces the other four-earth, air, fire, and water; and from which they stem. This is the realm of “pattern” or causality, from which the realm the normally thought of “five senses manifests. Some define it is the “other” of the “two worlds” that the witch or magician walks between.
ARADIA: Daughter of the Goddess Diana, and a name for the Goddess used by Italian Witches or Strega, commonly used in many Wiccan traditions today.
ASPECTING: Any advanced magickal activity in which a practitioner manifests a particular aspect of the Goddess or God, in thought, feelings, behavior, appearance, etc.; Often as a direct result of a “Drawing Down”. Often a minor variation of this phenomena occurs with the selection of a “Magical Name”, of Craft Name.

This Festival also marks the transition point of the threefold Goddess energies from those of Maiden to Mother.
BOOK OF SHADOWS: Traditionally hand copied book of rituals, recipes, training techniques, guidelines, and other materials deemed important to a Witch or a coven. Each tradition has it’s own standard version of the Book and each Witch’s book will be different as he or she adds to it with time from many different sources. Only another Witch can see your book of shadows. Also, traditionally, it may never leave your hands or possession until death, when it should be destroyed, or (in some traditions) returned to the coven to be disposed of.

The traditional membership is 13, but in fact most covens number considerably less. 3 is the minimum in the Georgian Tradition. (YOU CAN COPY AND PASTE ANY SPELLS POSTED TO A DOCUMENT TO PRINT AND/OR SAVE ON YOUR COMPUTER)
Whether you just moved into a new home or you’ve been living in your home for a while, it is always a good idea to cast a protection spell over your space. This process doesn’t have to be elaborate or complicated. In fact, it generally involves about two steps: cleansing the space and then protecting it. Any other steps in the process are entirely optional and can add to the potency of your spell. If you are in search of a simple protection spell for your home, be sure to read this post to the very end!
Believe it or not, the energy of your home can have an effect on your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. This energy usually accumulates over time, but certain factors can play a role in how quickly unpleasant energy settles into your spaces. For example, if you spend a lot of time in emotionally charged situations during the day, you may end up bringing some unpleasant energy home with you. This energy may accumulate faster than if you spent your days in more pleasant or neutral situations. Surrounding yourself with unpleasant energies could lead you to feeling drained, grouchy, and generally not spiritually well in your own home.
Energy can also accumulate due to other people in your life. This includes people you let into your home such as family, friends, and even employees, and people that don’t come into your home but still send their energy in your direction. Putting up a magical protective barrier around your home can help to protect against physical damage such as break-ins, storms, or similar. It can also help protect your home against magical or psychic attacks from others or keep a wandering spirit from making itself too comfortable.
Clearing your home of unpleasant energies and protecting it from external energetic forces is very simple. Keep reading for some tips to get you started.
Whether you are an animist or not, spend some time in your space. Light some incense if you want, play some nice music, and meditate in the heart of your home. Close your eyes and focus on your surroundings. Your home knows what it needs. If you listen well enough, it will tell you.
Once you’ve made the decision to clear out the energy from your home, it’s time to get to work. But what does clearing a space even mean? Well, you are going to be removing all energy from the space. This process clears out the energy, both good, bad, and otherwise, to leave room to call in what you want. If it makes it easier, you can think of this as an energetic cleaning rather than a physical one, though the two may look similar and utilize similar tools. This is step one of a good home protection spell.
One of the easiest methods of clearing a space is to clear it as you clean it. Charge your cleaning supplies with your magickal intention. You can do this by holding them firmly or holding your hands over them and speaking your words of intention over them. This could sound something like, “As I physically clean my space, so too do my cleaning supplies clear my home of unwanted energies and entities.” Then you use them to physically clean your space. At the same time, the energy you put forward to charge your supplies will also magickally clear the space.
Another method of clearing your space would be through the use of smoke or sound. You can burn special incense or herbs that have cleansing properties. One popular herb to burn for cleansing is rosemary, but any that you find clearing will work just as well. If you can’t use smoke you can cleanse with sound through clapping or bells. You can also use homemade cleansing sprays, too.
Once you’ve cleared your space, you will want to call something in to fill it. This step is optional, but keep in mind that nature doesn’t like a vacuum and nothing is truly empty for long. Use this step to call in the energy you want in your home. This can be done by playing some calming music, burning some relaxing or joyful incense, or decorating your home with pleasant flowers. Again, this can all be customized to suit your needs and desires for your space.
Once your space is cleared and you have called in the energy you want, now it’s time to protect that energy. We are going to be making a salt powder to be used at the thresholds of our home. For this step, be sure to have some salt on hand. Salt is a wonderful protective ingredient to use in your powders, and for this recipe, it is the base ingredient. Salt is good for repelling and absorbing negative energy, keeping the energy that crosses your threshold in line with your intentions.
Along with salt, here are some more ideas of protective herbs you can include in your recipe.
This powder is designed to protect your home with good energy and keep it free from problems. Support the magickal maintenance of your home with this protection powder.
Salt – absorbs and repels negative energy
Rosemary – for protection (can substitute other protective herbs)
Jar or Bowl – for mixing the ingredients together

“Hello Everyone,
Shortly after I had my brush with death in September of ’06 I started to “wake up again” and wondered about my life. I started to make friends with other people in metaphysics who helped me understand my true self.
I started to attend many lectures and met many mediums and channelers and mystics and healers. They told me some of the Spiritual Beings in my energy field. Many of them as well my friends told me “You have no idea how powerful you are”. Learning about these new Spiritual Beings made me feel like was like a kid in a metaphysical candy store. I was having so much fun! I also was learning the metaphysics of energy healing. It was so fascinating!
Then in 2010 I joined a Metaphysical Church and the leader was Reverend Debbie and on the third Sunday of each month she had healing Sundays. I was a part of the group and soon Reverend Debbie noticed my very powerful and yet soft energies and so did the other members and I started to do my own healings.
I was invited to many metaphysical gatherings because I was getting noticed in the metaphysical community and I started to do my healings by request but because I wasn’t certified at that time I just asked for a donation. Almost everyone told me that my left hand felt like a hot pad or that they felt like static electricity was coming from my hand.
It was also at this time I became a “student” of the Archangel Metatron channeled message teachings which was very profound because Metatron is very technical and complex but I was fascinated by what I read.
Some friends highly recommended that I go to my first Star Knowledge Conference founded by Chief Golden Light Eagle (Lakota Sioux) in November 2011 that changed my life. That was pure Indian energy and there were also several other Indian Chiefs and some Grandmothers too who were representatives of their own Nations. I quickly became friends with an Apache Grandmother and we exchanged phone numbers and she would call me or I would call her and we would talk for over an hour. Although she stopped going to Eagle’s conferences after 2014 we still kept in touch from time to time. I called her in the Spring of 2016 and she talked with her guides and they told her that I was of the White Wolf Clan and to take on the Spirit name White Wolf but Eagle does the naming in our family so I asked him for permission to start using that name and he liked it so he gave me permission. I asked him if I also needed the permission of the other Grandmothers and he said no so I thanked him for his permission. I really thought I knew a lot about metaphysics but when I got there I very quickly realized that I still had a lot more to learn and the energies were more powerful than anything I had experienced and I knew I had found my new spiritual family. Eagle came to Chicago twice in 2012 for lectures and I did lots of promotions for each lecture and just before Eagle’s 2012 conference in December I did a special favor for Eagle and just after the conference Eagle called me to invite me to a Lakota sweat lodge or what they call a purification ceremony and then I became a member of Eagle’s Star Knowledge Family and I am very honored by that.
In Native American teachings, the wolf is highly revered and considered a “medicine being” associated with courage, strength, loyalty and ancient wisdom. A white wolf or any white animal totem calls on us to open our hearts to the wild and to the sacredness of the earth with purity of thought so that we can heal our personal and collective wounds. A White Wolf in Native American teachings would therefore represent higher thoughts, purity and cleansing of spirit.
I discovered that I also have Metatron and other very powerful Spiritual Beings in my vast energy field. I had a Deep Matrix energy healing by my friend Kathy Georgen back in June of 2018 and that was when my Sixth Dimensional Family introduced themselves to me with Kathy’s help. They started to give me some of their 6D energy but it was very intense so they only give me tiny packets which are much easier to handle. I am very honored to have my 6D family with me guiding me.
And in March of 2020 I was invited to attend a small gathering near Serpent Mound, Ohio from my friend Eagle to meet Anna the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull. So now I have Anna in my energy field. Anna is a very powerful and enlightened spiritual being and I am very honored to have her in my vast energy field.
I call my energy quantum because I am in the quantum consciousness or extremely high level of awareness and because of the extremely powerful healing energy I have.”

Wishing you all a bit of laughter in your life every day.

As followers of a pagan tradition, we strive to get better in touch with the natural world around us. Which to me means we live “Earth Day” 24 hours 7 days a week 365 days a year not just one day out of every year. The Earth Goddess goes by many different names, The Great Mother, Mother Earth, Gaia just to name a few, so what you choose to call her stems from the tradition you follow or your own personal connection with her. But it all boils down to one thing she is the Goddess that gives us life and provides for us all the years and lifetimes we spend living on her. Is it right for society as a whole to disrespect her every hour of every day? Do we do not owe it to her to watch over her every day?
I live in the United States of Ameria and am disgusted at the way people will not walk even two feet to throw something in a trash receptacle but instead throw whatever on the ground. Or throw trash and cigarette butts out the window of a car to let the wind carry it to the curb or out into an open field. I am proud to say that I was taught and taught my children who taught their children to always leave a place no matter where it is cleaner than what we found it. I walk my two magickal companions two to three times every day, no matter where I might be living, and always pick up whatever trash others have so carelessly left in inappropriate places. I just take a plastic shopping bag with me (thankfully I can start using reusable bags for all my shopping again) and one throw away glove to pick up the trash and have a place to put it until I get home and put it in my trash can. This is something I also have done with my children and grandchildren. Where I live now there is an old railway tracks to the south of me next to an undeveloped lot and even though there are only about a dozen houses, one very small business, a school bus parking lot, and a private school in the area the amount of trash that blows into the bushes and trees along the tracks per week amazes me. I really do not understand how people can be so careless and disrespect of the only place humans and all the animals have to live on.
A little trivia for you – a cigarette filter ingested by any bird or small animal can cause its death. The filter swells up in the stomach and cannot be passed through the digestive system therefore sentencing whatever ingested it to a slow death through starvation.
I am a smoker so what I do when outdoors walking or without an ashtray at hand is roll the part of the cigarette with tobacco in it until it falls out, this will go back to the Earth Goddess, and stick the filter part in a pocket or keep it in my hand until I can dispose of it properly.
Another bit of trivia – It has now been scientifically proven that humans have microscope bit of plastic in our blood.
A simple meditation to bring us closer to the Earth Goddess:
This should be done outdoors whenever possible or if you cannot go outside or next to a window with some type of live plant you can at least put a finger onto the dirt that gives it life. Have a medium to large drink of water with you.
Take 3 or more deep breathes to center yourself for the mediation. Then keep your breathing at a steady rhythm. (If you start to lose your relaxed meditative state of mind concentrate on your breathing by saying in your mind, “Inhale…Exhale” until you once again can connect to the Earth Goddess)
Sit on the ground or floor. If you cannot sit on the ground or floor a chair with not a lot of padding will work also. Place your hands on the Earth Goddess directly or onto the dirt in the planter. Feel tentacles or roots growing down into the Earth Goddess from everywhere your body is touching her or the chair and planter.
Feel all the energy that is flowing through her and give her a bit of your own in thanksgiving for all she provides.
Listen to the sounds of nature that are around you – the birds singing, a flowing brook or other waterway, the wind, wildlife, ectara.
Imagine yourself as part of the air or water flowing with the rhythm of the energy you feel from the Earth Goddess.
Sit this way as long as you feel you want to.
When you are done thank her for what she has provided for you, your family, and the world at large. Pour some of your drink on to the ground or a tiny bit into the planter as an offering of thanks.
Take 3 deep breathes to help bring you back from the meditative state. Drink your water while still sitting where you meditated and continue listening to all the nature sounds around you until you feel like getting up. Then go about your day or evening but be more aware of everything around you that has in one way, or another been given to you by the Great Mother/Mother Earth/Gaia/ or whatever name you call her by.
I ask that you follow your heart to help make our Earth Goddess happier with the beings that live on her by picking up trash left by others and not littering yourself. Thank her daily for all she provides for us from her surface and what she has birthed for us from her body shelter, clothing, food, heat, electricity, ectara. There is not one thing we use or touch that did not start with a raw material that came from the Earth Goddess.
Until we meet again blessed be dear sisters, brothers, and honored guests.

This is wishing all witches everywhere could come out of the broom closet without fear of being persecuted in anyway even if it is a family member who would shun them.
Until we meet again blessed be dear sisters, brothers, and honored guests.
I am not sure if I believe this story or not. But with all the activity from our Sun this year who knows.

May your day find a bit of laughter in it.
Happy tantalizing Thursday!

I saw this quote and knew it would be in time with many of our personal drummers. Always be proud of who you are and hold your head high with your shoulders up and squared no matter what others might say or post on social media about you, or even the way someone looks at you. Remember you are who you are supposed to be and to Hades with what others think about you.
Until we meet again blessed be dear sisters, brothers, and honored guests!

Remember to walk to the beat of your own drummer dear sisters.

I have been following this website Irish Pagan School for about two years and have taken a couple of courses through them about Irish Celtic Paganism. The first course I took was on Ogham and even though I have been reading ogham Staves for years I learned somethings I was doing wrong that would affect a reading and some new ways to go about using the Ogham alphabet. Their courses are do not cost a lot for the information you can gain plus you can go back to the material time and time again. You will get almost daily information usually in the form of a video through youtube.com. You can find the list of a variety of topics here by Irish Pagan School Videos I highly recommend watching a few if you are all interested in Celtic Paganism. Even with their Irish accent they are easy to understand.
Yesterday’s email announced a new way to gain information and I am really looking forward to listening to their podcasts. Here is the email I received including the link for the podcasts.

I believe in always follow the path of my own drummer not the path my family or society thinks I should follow. The same goes for letting my inner child out to play daily. Yes, I might look silly to others when I decide to take playtime outside with my fur kids, but I do not care as we are all having fun plus it tires them out for a nice long nap.
In what ways to you walk your own path and not one preset for you by family or society?
Blessed be dear sisters, brothers, and honored guests!

May you have a tantalizing Tuesday dear sister, brothers, and honored guests.

Blessed be dear sisters, brothers, and honored guests.

Hoping you have a wonderful Saturday
Blessed be dear sisters, brothers, and honored guests.
A very interesting article about the Moon’s surface and interior many, many millions of years ago.
The dragon is a fantastic beast that appears in almost every mythological tradition throughout the world. Often depicted as a mix of several differen creatures, it represents the four elements of life: air, fire, water, and earth. The dragon has the wings of a bird and is covered with the scales of a fish or snake. It is capable of breathing fire, and usually guards a horde of treasure deep within the earth. In pre-Christian Europe and the Far East, the dragon was seen a symbol of power, virility, and superhuman strength, and was considered to be a friend of mankind.
In magick, the dragon is wholly beneficent and is seen as the manifestation of life-giving celestial power, and has the attributes of both the sun and moon, masculine and feminine, good and evil sides of nature.
The dragon and serpent are usually interchangeable as representations of the unmanifest and the creation of form and matter. The dragon represents the highest spiritual power, the supernatural, and the spirit of change. When you align your forces with those of the dragon, you gain strength and power. Its magick can help you overcome negative thoughts and it can teach you how to live abundantly.
This spell is designed to create prosperity. It works best if you have a job and are looking for a pay raise or bonus.
Items needed:
One large green pillar candle, dragon’s blood incense, incense burner and charcoal, dragon prosperity oil, a green silk pouch, five new coins (a penny, nickel, dime, quarter, and half-dollar), and an altar or small table.
Dragon’s Blood Incense Recipe
To make dragon’s blood incense, mix 1/2 tsp. dragon’s blood resin with 1/2 tsp. allspice, 1/2 tsp myrrh resin, 1/2 tsp. dried orange peel, 1/2 tsp. sandalwood powder.
To the mixture add 3-drops cinnamon oil, and 3 drops orange spice oil.
Dragon’s Prosperity Oil
To make dragon prosperity oil, in a small bottle mix 5 drops cinnamon oil with 3 drops orange spice oil, and 2 drops sandalwood oil.
The first thing you will need to do is engrave the figure of a dragon on the candle. This can be easily done using awaters (the serpent), and the breath of life (the bird). Generally it is considered to be a ball point pen or small sculpting tool. The engraving does not have to be an elaborate work of art, just a simple outline will do.
Begin on the night of the new moon. Place the dragon candle on your altar with the incense burner in front of it. Place the coins on the left side of the candle and the silk pouch on the right side.
Light the green candle and charcoal. When the coal is glowing red, sprinkle some incense on it. Pick up the penny, hold it tightly, close your eyes and visualize the dragon in his cave. See his treasure and all the wealth he guards. In your mind’s eye, slowly approach the dragon. Show the dragon your coin. Then, with great respect, ask the dragon to expand your wealth as you say:
O great dragon of wealth and power,
I greet thee in this sacred hour.
Great good fortune on me now shower.
That my prosperity shall blossom and flower.
Stay with the dragon for a short time. Listen to what he says, and take heed of his advice. When the dragon begins to fade, leave his cave and return to the present. Place the penny in the green silk pouch. Thank the dragon by saying:
I thank thee great dragon of power and might
For granting my wishes on this night.
Leave the candle to burn for four hours and then snuff it out. Repeat this spell every night until all of the coins have been placed in the green pouch. When the last coin has been placed in the pouch, allow the candle to completely burn out. The rite is then complete.
