The Magick and Power of Words

The Magick and Power of Words

Author:   Luna
As I’m currently writing this, it’s Christmas. We’ve passed the Winter Solstice (and the supposed end of the world—guess the Mayans didn’t know everything, no offense to them) and are moving through the parade of winter holidays. And I’ve noted something about these winter holidays—regardless of tradition or religion, these holidays center around two things. These two things are reflection and togetherness. We reflect on the year we’ve experienced, both in terms of happenings within and happenings without, and contemplate how they will affect the year to come. With regards to togetherness, we take this time to come together as family, friends, colleagues and lovers. By so doing, we remind ourselves of how much we cherish their company, no matter our differences, and wish nothing but peace and love for the rest of world.
So, should you care to oblige me, I’m going to combine these two things—to reflect on togetherness, with regards to the current state of the world.
Let’s face it: the world is going through some hard times. The true state of affairs is probably more serious than my words can convey, but this is what I see around me. We’re doing what we can to get through these times, make the future brighter for ourselves as well as future generations. We’re trying, but there are a number of things holding us back. Some of these we may overcome quickly, while others will take more time. But, with regards to the spirit of these holidays, there is one aspect of our problems as the human race that has come to the forefront of my mind. It’s the fact that, for whatever reason, conflict drives us apart around the world.
Let’s take the political situation within the United States of America for example. I live here in the US, so it makes the example much more personal and easier to relate as I’m more aware of it that the political situation of other areas of the world. I want it to be noted that this isn’t because I don’t think other political conflicts in other areas of the world aren’t important. On the contrary, I wish I knew more of what goes on outside the small part of the world where I live. But I feel this will serve as a great example, as most of us will likely be aware of the political happenings of the United States.
Okay, let’s dive in headfirst, shall we?
In the United States, there has always been a political system that has allowed for multiple political parties to exist, voicing their opinions and concerns as well as pressing forward on issues that concern them. It’s one of the things I appreciate about our government, regardless of how I feel about the actions we take as a nation (or as people of a nation) . However, in recent years especially, two parties, the well-known Republican and Democratic parties, have barged to the forefront of the political scene and began a storm of relentless arguing and bickering over various issues. And I include both arguing and bickering in that statement because they’ve both happened. There have been times where they’ve engaged in polite, rational and respectful discussion. And there have been other times where they’ve just gone at each other simply because one side hates the other’s guts. It’s come to the point these days where people on either side (not everyone, but some people) are not willing to hear the other side out simply because it’s the other side and, in their minds, it’s trying to destroy the fabric of our country.
On the one hand, the Democratic party sees the Republicans as stubborn and delusional, trying to hold onto an America that no longer exists and not only failing to comprehend the situations at hand but refusing to compromise where necessary. On the other hand, the Republicans see the Democrats as trying to impose new and foreign values on America, using the wrong methods to fix our economic problems and trying to drive us down the proverbial drain. Now, this obviously isn’t the case for every Democrat or every Republican. I know there are multiple exceptions to these stereotypes. But these trends in both parties have emerged strongly in recent years, particularly during our elections, and these more radical voices have many times drowned out more moderate voices that would be willing to sit down and discuss the issues in a more respectful manner. There is a common theme to each side: not everyone on one side is always willing to hear the other side out on what it has to say.
So what drove me to think about this? Well, it was two things, both of them easily found on TV or the Internet. The first was the 2008 animated film, “Horton Hears a Who, ” based on the well-known Dr. Seuss story. Sour Kangaroo’s refusal to believe Horton drove the population of the Jungle of Nool to madness, and their actions nearly caused the destruction of Whoville. And yet, once the situation became clear and the Whos became heard by those that only saw their speck of a world, Horton didn’t reject Kangaroo. He made amends with the offer of a cookie, possibly knowing that she had better intentions when she first began to move against him.
The second was yet another episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (Hey, pony stuff has been popping up all over the Internet—if it’s finally ready to be discussed here on the Witches’ Voice, I’m willing to be the first to talk about it) . In fact, it was the thirteenth episode of season two, named after the ponies’ own winter holiday, “Hearth’s Warming Eve.” Within the episode, the main characters put on a production of their nation’s beginning. Within that production, a disagreement between the three tribes (the pegasi, the unicorns and the Earth ponies) spiraled into all out conflict that drove them further apart. It also caused beings called Windigos to feed off their hatred, driving their world further and further towards a world-ending blizzard (yeah, that kind of stuff shows up in a kid’s show) . And yet three ponies, one from each of the tribes, came together and realized not only their seemingly inevitable fate but also that each bore no hatred towards the other two. As one of them put it, “No matter what happens, we’re all ponies.” And at that moment, a magic flame born of their friendship burned the Windigos to death and began to thaw the world and the rest of the ponies, both in body and in spirit. Their new respect for each other and banding together of all three tribes led to the founding of Equestria… at least, according to the pageant.
So both the movie and the episode got me thinking about our situation. Perhaps it’s time we all (or at least as many of us as are willing) take a moment in our conflicts and say to each other, “Hey, I know we don’t see eye to eye, but I know we both have the best intentions. I want to understand why you take the position you do, and I’m willing to listen to what you have to say. If you want to hear me out, I am more than willing to share with you why I think the way I do. Let’s resolve our conflict peacefully and come to a better understanding.” If you think about it, our world could definitely use more of that. Too often, I see arguments flare up and conflicts spiral out of control because neither side is willing to understand the other, and I think we can all agree that simply taking the time to listen respectfully and with intent to understand will mend many of the fences in our world.
Will it happen overnight? Of course not. Discussion like this will take time, and not everyone will want to participate in this initially. It may take a while for this to really take hold. Will we reach universal peace and harmony between all peoples through this? I have no idea. If we do, it likely won’t be in my lifetime (and I’m 23 years old) . But I know this is the right path for us, and it is due in part to this very community.
Yes, I’m talking about the Witches’ Voice, and the Pagans and others who make this possible. I include both those who share their words every week and those who merely stop by every so often to read what essays are up on the home page. The fact that you are even taking time to read my essay (which I’m grateful for) is a sign that we are willing to take the time to listen to someone else’s words. And I really mean this, especially to the many of you who’ve read my essays this last year and who’ve even contacted me via email to share your thoughts.
When I first came to this site, I was just a college student studying Wicca on her own, not even sure if I’d be able to find others to befriend and learn from, much less considering what impact my essays would have on your lives. And here we are, a year later. I’ve gotten the chance to share my thoughts with so many of you without fear of being laughed at or rejected, and I’ve gotten the chance to hear from many of you. Many of you have given me suggestions, others of you have simply praised my words, and still others of you have extended a friendly hand (metaphorically speaking) and asked me for friendship and guidance. I want you all to know that, even though I haven’t been able to get back to you all, I’m thinking of you constantly and the fact that you’ve taken the time to at least glance at what I have to say. It’s more than I could’ve ever hoped for, and I thank the God and Goddess for this blessing. It’s meant more to me than I’m sure you all know.
But let’s take this willingness to listen and consider another’s words, thoughts and positions beyond the Witches’ Voice to other areas of our lives. Let’s sit down with our friends and families, with our lovers and colleagues, and even with those we might not like. Let’s take the time to hear them out on what they have to say and help them understand our own positions and peaceful, rational and respectful manner. I know we can do it. You want to know how I know this? Because I’ve seen us as a community. The Pagans, Witches, Wiccans and others who make up this community are a testament to the power of understanding, and I only have to see the total read count on one article on this site to know that.
The late Scott Cunningham said, “Mock not the rituals and spells of another, for who can say yours are greater in power or wisdom?” I’d like to add the words of another to this statement, for words are just as important as spells and rituals, regardless of the time of year. Please consider what I’ve said here and how you can apply it to situations in your own life. It will take time, perhaps many lifetimes, but I know that every little step will help. The world isn’t over just yet, and we’re still here. Let’s work towards a brighter future, where, anywhere in the world, one can share their thoughts with the knowledge that what they say will be respected and could even spark a thoughtful discussion.
And to all of you, I wish a holiday season full of the brightest blessings and brighter futures.

Something That Is Needed Now More Than Ever……

Book & Candle Comments

Prayer for Peace

You will need:

One pastel blue candle

three yards of silver ribbon

lavender incense

Use the silver ribbon to make a peace sign.

Place the blue candle in the center of the peace sign and light the incense. Take a few moments to meditate on what peace means to you and those you love. When you feel the time is right, light the candle and say the following prayer:

“Gracious Goddess fill my mind with peace,

Let all sadness and foreboding cease.
Descend to me from the heavens above,
And fill my heart with understanding and love.
Thou who creates now protects and guides.
Blessed be the Goddess who from the past presides.”

Allow the candle to burn for one hour and repeat when you feel the need for peace.

Good Morning My Precious Friends & Family!

Book & Candle Comments

Great Goddess

Be with me in this time of sorrow

Ease the pain of my heart

And soothe my battered Spirit

Bless my nights with restful sleep

So I might cope with the long days ahead

Enfold me in your compassionate arms

As I learn to live with my loss

Help me to move forward with life

And let the pain grow less as time passes

Bless me with your love

And watch over me

And the one I have lost.

So Mote It Be!

Good Late Night, My Dear Family & Friends!

Good Evening My Dearest Family & Friends,

I woke up this morning full of energy. I could feel the Goddess refreshing my spirit as it ran through my very body. Everything was going so grand. Then I sit down at the computer and guess what? The first thing that pops out of someone’s mouth is “Did you pay the bill? I bet you didn’t pay the bill? I bet we are cut off!” You know people like that you just want to hit them in the head with your mouse. I just ignored the person with all the “cute” comments and politely called the cable company. Went through the regular mumbo jumbo, telephone number, what are you having a problem with, and so on, and so on. Come to find out there was an outage in our area. Of course the technicians are working at it. And your service will be restored at 3:05 p.m. It still amazes me how they can get their repairs down to the very minute. Either they are very good or they think we are very stupid???

I have been wanting to talk to all of you so bad I couldn’t stand it. My dear family, you deserve one big pat on the back. Do you remember when I pleaded and get right down to it, begged you to pray and petition for peace? I hope so and I hope you are still doing it. We are not out of the woods by a long shot. At the time I had called for us to come together and pull our powers, Obama was getting ready to bomb Syria. He had decided he didn’t need Congress approval. He was going to do it! Then all of the sudden the world was calling him fickle because he was going to Congress. Congratulations on making a fickle pickle! Then we came to Congress. That night I went to bed, I heard on the News that Congress was all for war. The next morning I was honestly scared to get up (oh, hell I might not have even woke up, lol!). I turned on the TV and Congress has divided. There suddenly more Congressmen saying “no” to bombing Syria than the night before. I wonder if those Congressmen has some dreams involving the results of us bombing Syria. Then there were other events that happened the reporters called unprecedented. We know why they happened. Admit it! Does it feel good when you can conjure your power for the betterment of mankind? Truthfully. There are times when outside observers need to quietly give gently whispers in their ears or a soft nudge in the right direction. This is not only their world they are screwing with, it is ours. Days like today, I am exceptionally proud to call myself a WITCH! Shouting from the highest rooftops, I AM A WITCH!

I don’t want you to forget that we have to keep an eye on our own government while we have another task.  This task involves justice for those people that suffered from the chemical attacks from their own government. I guess growing up in the States I have a very hard time understanding why people let this go on and happen. I hope and pray to the Goddess I am right. If our government did something like this to us, they would only do it one time. The people would be up in arms, storming Washington. We wouldn’t stand for it. Don’t get me wrong because this is a slippery slope I am treading on right now. But to have your own children die in your arms, wouldn’t that do something to you. I know my two kids treat me like I am not even their mother at times. But if something like that happened to me, I would be filled with rage. Uncontrollable rage and I would lash out at whatever had caused this to happen. I have to stop and think that these people have been oppressed all their lifes. They have been pushed around and treated sub-human. I take what we have in this country for granted at times. It just dawned on me I need to say a prayer thanking the Goddess for giving us this great Country we live.

Our plate is now starting to become full. But with each of us pulling together, we can accomplish anything. Never forget that. We need to petition our Gods and Goddesses for the people of Syria to have strength. Strength enough to let them say “ENOUGH!” Rise up against the government that is torturing them. Bring a new government to power. One that will treat them like they are human instead of lab rats. We also need to petition that the monsters that did this to them get exactly what they deserve plus a little bit more. How any person could harm a poor innocent child is beyond me? To make them suffer and die such a horrible death? It breaks my heart to even to try to imagine what must be going through that precious baby’s mind. This is one of those situation were I want to scream out for the Universe to strike those dead in their tracks that done these horrible actions. But I know better. Justice will be dealt to these monsters.

One more thing then I will leave you in peace, my brothers and sisters. As we all know 9/11 is fast approaching. I believe that was one of the worse days in all of our lives. Whether you lost a loved one or just watched in horror, it was horrific. All I remember is that I wanted my family with me, close to hold and hug. To tell them so much how much I loved each of them. You never know, that’s for sure. After the bombings, the cosmos ripped open. I know myself and several others felt it. In fact, it liked to have drove us crazy. So many souls, lost, confused, not knowing what happened, wanting to see their loved ones but couldn’t. Light a candle and say prayer this September 11th that all those souls have now found peace. Let us pray they have been happily reincarnated and now walk this plane with us once again. Pray for the loved ones they left behind. Pray that they have had the strength and courage to move on, as their loved ones would have wanted. Time passes, some of the pain eases but there will always be that hole in their heart. Pray for the families’ that lost that special loved one. Pray for the souls that were taken so quickly from us. Bless them all that they might find peace and comfort in our Great Mother’s arms.

Blessings to this world that we live,
We pray that one day we will all know
peace and love in our heart for each other.
Until that time arrives, Oh, Mighty Goddess,
teach us tolerance, patience and most of all
love for our fellow man.
So Mote It Be!

Blessings, Peace & Comfort,

Lady A

Beginning Clairvoyance Spell

Beginning Clairvoyance Spell

A common mistake people make is assuming that ‘seeing’ involves the use of the eyes when in a closed state. Do not strain to see. You do not have to have your eyes closed to access your third eye however in the beginning it is recommend to shut out all distractions.

Finding Your Minds Eye

Sitting comfortably, close you eyes
Remember where you were yesterday
What does it look like?
Realize that you have created a picture in your minds eye to recall this time
Notice where this image is projected within your body
This is your inner screen or minds eye

Exploring Your Clairvoyance

Sit comfortably with your eyes closed
Notice the inner screen of your mind
Bring your attention to the space between your eyes at the center of your forehead (your third eye)
Visualize your third eye expanding
Do you see anything shapes, colors, anything at all?

Do not judge yourself or expect to much of yourself
Just be aware of images of any sort that come to mind
If nothing comes don’t be discouraged
Developing this skill may take some time
Know that by bringing your attention to your third eye the skill of clairvoyance has already began to awaken
Like all skills the development or rather the remembrance of it will involve persistence

Further Exploration

Once you are feeling more confident and begin seeing images in your minds eye you could try this activity with a friend to test clairvoyance

Have a friend set up a room in the house
Change things about it, move things and add things
Have your friend sit in a certain position in the room

Remain in a separate room
Bring your focus to your inner sight
See the room in your minds eye
What do you see? Where is your friend sitting? What has moved?
Record what you see and than check with your friend

To test clairvoyance may make you feel pressured to get it right. If it does try the experience of simply seeing what is happening at your friends house through your third eye in your own time and then giving him/her a phone call to see how they are and what they are up to. Did you sense any of what was happening?

Eventually though it may be nice to measure your success to see how far you have come i.e. test clairvoyance

Free your 6th sense and begin to tune into your inner eye

Feng Shui News for Sept. 8 – 'National Grandparent's Day'

On ‘National Grandparent’s Day’ you can honor them whether they’re still with you or not. Just put a picture of your grandparents in a wooden frame and place it in the Feng Shui ‘Family/Friends/Ancestors’ area (center or middle of the left-hand wall on the living space.) Wood is the element associated with these ancestor energies (think family tree or roots) and green is said to activate excellent energies as well. So light a green candle and say a prayer for your grandparents and remember that they’re most likely saying special prayers for you too!

Feng Shui For Sept. 4 – 'Mallow'

According to Feng Shui the plant most associated with the month of September is the mallow. Its medicinal properties have been extolled since ancient times and are still used today, most especially for relieving the mucous membrane lining the upper respiratory system during a cold. So the next time you feel the sniffles coming on, reach for the mallow and watch that cough and cold simply disappear.

Daily Feng Shui News for Sept. 3rd – 'Skyscraper Day'

‘Skyscraper Day’ brings up a Feng Shui cure for your living space, especially if you’re sandwiched between two taller structures. The smaller space in the center is often seen as a place that isn’t able to attract healthy, happy and prosperous Chi since the taller buildings around it block that high vibe. One way to correct this conundrum is to position a mirror, reflective side up, on the roof of your building. The mirror will symbolically reflect the height of the surrounding structures, bringing your building up with the big boys. Now everyone will get their fair share of the high vibe and be healthy, happy and prosperous too.

Daily Feng Shui Tip for Sept. 2 – 'Labor Day'

Labor Day is a perfect time to share some positive and powerful job Shui. This tradition maintains that you should never let your files be ‘stepped’ on or put on the floor. According to these ancient rules of order, ‘stepping’ on your files creates a negative energy that will then adversely affect your job ‘luck.’ Important files should be kept in order and positioned to the left of the desk so that your labor will reflect your purpose and your passion.

Help send Peace around the world

I went back to our old group yesterday. I ran across “The Dove of Peace.” I hadn’t seen her in years. It seemed sort of strange I would find her now. I go back and forth to that site all the time. But this is the first time, the Dove actually popped out at me. Perhaps there was a reason it did.

I know there is a horrible mess in Syria. I also know the President and a few others are ready to drop bombs on this country. Personally, I have a very bad feeling about this. I feel so bad for the people in Syria. Just stopping and thinking that their government would do something like that to their own people, makes me sick at my stomach. I can understand the President wanting to take action against the Syrian government. But we are trying to get out of two wars we are already in. Which I don’t believe we will ever completely get out of. We will have to maintain a military force in both Afghanistan and Iraq.

It is horrible to say but it seems like we have turned into a country of war-mongers. Or perhaps I am totally wrong about this. You know opinions are like a**holes, everybody has one, lol! If Obama thought he could have gotten away with it, he would have already bombed Syria. I think he finally realized he doesn’t have that authority. Thank the Goddess!  Our forefathers definitely knew what they were doing on that one!

After the last two wars, of which I think only one of them we should have fought (Afghanistan). I think it is time for the U.S., to become a peaceful nation again. Bring all of our soldiers home. Let them return to their families. Let them rest for they have gave so much for this great country of ours. Let them rest and most of all let them know peace again.

Let the U.N. step in and talk over. Let the U.N. decide if Syria needs action taken against it. Then let the U.N. call up it’s military forces. Of course, we make up about 88% of. But let the U. N. do it’s job. That’s why it was formed. Let it do its job!

I think that some of our Leaders need to stop beating the war drums again. We need to ask the Goddess or what Divinity you honor to give our leaders a cooling off period. Let them come together with the U.N. and decide what is appropriate to do. Not go off on our own and take actions into our own hands. Let us pray that cooler heads will prevail. Pray for peace, my fellow witches. Pray for peace. Then while we are praying for Peace, let us also pray that the Syrians that have done this gets exactly what they deserve. There is more than one way of handling a situation like this. Pray that those son of a bitches that dropped those chemical weapons on those poor people get exactly what is coming to them. Let them know the suffer and horror those children felt and their parents.  Pray they get what is coming to them plus some extra.

It is in our hands, we can turn this whole situation around. You ought to have realized that the last two times I ask us all to pray and petition as a community. It didn’t surprise you when the Boston bombers were caught so quickly. It didn’t me because that is what we petitioned for. You see when we combine our powers there are no limits to what we can do.  I am asking you once again to Pray and Petition that cooler heads will prevail in Washington. And also the monsters in Syria get exactly what they deserve. Also, my family, pray the peace will rule over our great Nation and nations everywhere. Pray that our grandchildren will never have to fight in a war. Pray they won’t even know what the word “war” means.

Take the little Dove of Peace and place it somewhere on your site. Let it remind you to pray everyday for Peace. Pray for Peace, my family! Pray for Peace!

Following Our Ancestors' Path

Following Our Ancestors’ Path image Author: Gloria Gypsy
Modern Druids must research what Druidism was or is and apply it to our modern times. A modern Druid’s role does not differ much from that of his or her ancient ancestors, although Druids of today face many more challenges in teaching and giving service to the world. Many people have forgotten the ways of they’re ancestors. They are not at one with nature or their spiritual selves. Many people live in crowded urban areas and have lost touch with their bonds to nature. Today’s Druid I believe would spend more time working toward caring for our planet and nature since pollution, over-population and technology have begun to destroy our very life force. Today more than ever we need the Wisdom of the Druid.
One important role for a Druid today would be in preserving our wildlife. So much of our natural woodlands, prairies, etc., have been lost to pave the way for more urban areas. When we destroy a forest or field or what have you we are also destroying the wildlife that lives in that area. As an example, in certain parts of the United States, Wolves, Coyotes and Bears are seen more and more in urban areas looking for food. This is because we are taking away they’re natural habitats and they have nowhere left to go.
And so a modern Druid may join a committee that is dedicated to saving our wildlife or forests. He or she may work toward animal sanctuaries or for a national forest. In preserving and caring for nature we are giving back to our life force. Without it we would not exist.
The Druids were a people of integrity and service. In the past they were healers, judges, priests, poets. But unlike most people today they were all these things and also in tune with spirituality and honor. Today we still seek wisdom and must strive to give as well as receive knowledge, to lend our services to our communities and families (tribe); to nature/the gods; to our planet and also to our self.
Society today lacks much integrity and truth. People are not honest with themselves let alone as a culture or community. The modern Druid has a responsibility not only to him or herself but to they’re community as well to practice and teach the lessons of truth, honor, integrity and love. Without these virtues we are not true to ourselves, each other and our god/s. Passing this knowledge on gives us hope for the next generation and those generations yet to come. “We must give of our selves so that we may receive of ourselves.” (Searles O’Dubhain)
A Druid as teacher could be a father or mother teaching they’re children, judges or law enforcement teaching these lessons by example, and teachers themselves in schools teaching in they’re specialized fields. If we learn and live as the ancient Druids did we are able to communicate on all levels of human awareness, we are the caretakers of nature, and the teachers of wisdom and spirituality. We are enlightening others and ourselves, we are making our lives and our world a better place. We are improving the quality of life and our spirituality. We must research what Druidism was or is and apply it to our modern time.
“The value of a life is great but it is small next to the value of a spirit.” (Searles O’Dubhain)
Following I offer a meditation for speaking with the spirit of place as an example on how to get started becoming one with the earth and learning from the wisdom of the earth.
Meditation: Speaking with the Spirit of Place…

  • Sit down near, preferably touching, that with which you plan to speak with. If it is a tree, perhaps  face it, placing your hands on it. Try to avoid animate things such as animals and moving bodies of water until you get better at this. Otherwise the  movement will likely break your concentration.
  • Close your eyes or keep them open, depending on what works best and how you feel most  comfortable.
  • Calm your mind, and quiet it in an attitude of meditation. Any thoughts that enter, simply  acknowledge them as a thought, and push them aside, returning to your concentration.
  • Focus on your breathing. If you find it difficult to quiet your mind, perhaps try chanting (to  yourself or aloud) a mantra, play some soft music if you can. Anything to focus your attention.
  • Breath in for a count of four, hold it for two, then out for a count of four. Keep doing this until  you feel that your mind is peaceful and calm enough.
  • Focus on moving your consciousness into what you’re trying to speak with. I’ll use the  example of a tree. It is easier if you are touching it, and I will assume your hands will be on it. Adapt this as you see fit, however. Move your awareness  down into your arms, allowing it to travel to your hands, and then your finger tips. You will find it will slip into the tree with as much ease as it went  down your body. Always remember to get permission before moving your consciousness into something that is not your own. If you feel that you are being  allowed in, then proceed; otherwise do not.
  • Allow yourself to orient in the tree. When you feel ready attempt to speak with it. If you do not  yet feel ready, simply sit with it and hold off until you do feel ready.
  • Think about your own relationship with the Land, what you feel is appropriate, and what you feel  needs to be changed. Think on why you should change these things, and why certain things are in right relationship.

Have A Very Relaxing & Peaceful Labor Day Weekend!

I sincerely hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I love long weekends. They are so nice, quiet and peaceful. Today, however, is a gloomy day. It has rained all morning. It has finally stopped but it looks like it could start at any minute. I gave Lady A an umbrella and shoved her out the door.  Today we are going to do things “old school.” Like we use to in our group setting. Feng Shui News for August 31 – 'Love Litigating Lawyers Day'

I’m guessing that it was a lawyer who first declared this ‘Love Litigating Lawyers Day’ because I don’t know many people who feel that same way, myself included. But, just in case you’re involved in a legal affair and could use a cosmic assist in the courtroom, you can say this affirmation both silently and aloud in order to sway the outcome your way. Say this at least nine times throughout any day: ‘The inspiration of the Almighty shall be my defense and I shall have plenty of silver.’

In the Good Old Summertime

Summer Comments & Graphics
“There’s a time each year
That we always hold dear,
Good old summer time;
With the birds and the trees’es
And sweet scented breezes,
Good old summer time,
When you day’s work is over
Then you are in clover,
And life is one beautiful rhyme,
No trouble annoying,
Each one is enjoying,
The good old summer time.”

August 28 – Daily Feast

August 28 – Daily Feast

Everything that thrives is fed by the light. Lift up a rock, and the seed that sprouted beneath it is bent, stunted and colorless. But after a few hours of filtered light it begins to straighten, and will eventually throw off all the effects of being held down. We need, a li so qui lv di, a weight or a burden, lifted from our shoulders so we can grow and thrive in the light. We have to show willingness to stand on the rock and not beneath it. To see ourselves in better circumstances, to think clearly, is to be free. Little by little we see the possibility of health and order and great prosperity which includes everything we need. To see good and say good will eventually cause good, but our vision and our words must be steady.

~ You must speak straight so that your words may go as sunlight to our hearts.
