Quiz of the Day: What Season Are You Now?

Quiz: What Season Are You Now?

The spirit has its own seasons that may or may not coincide with the world of  nature outside our doors. What season are you in right now? Is your life  beginning to open up with a burgeoning Spring-like sense of new life? Or are you  in a quiet Winter time of lying fallow? Depending on where you are in the  seasons of the soul, there are many ways you can work with and honor–rather than  resist–your inner reality.

Take this fun quiz to find out what inner season you’re in right now. Then  find out how to get the most from it! It’s all here:

Make note of any answers that are true for you.

1. I can almost see the doors opening right in front of me: new opportunities  seem to be all around me.

2. I crave activity, movement, and change: I may be considering moving house  or starting a new job or beginning a program of some sort.

3. I am eager to make plans for my future.

4. I may feel a little vulnerable and tender.

5. My life feels very outwardly-focused and expansive right now.

6. Everything seems to be aligning for me so that I will have what I need in  the near future.

7. My activities are many and varied and I have plenty of energy to do what I  want.

8. I feel very powerful and optimistic.

9. I am finally reaping the rewards of a lot of hard work.

10. I like to feel that I have enough: I may find myself stocking up on  necessities now that abundance seems to fill my life.

11. I am letting go of many things in my life that no longer fit who I am.

12. I find I am becoming more reflective, looking inward and taking stock of  my life.

13. I have no desire for activity: I crave quiet and doing nothing.

14. I have faced some important losses in the recent past.

15. Whenever I try to start something new, I am prevented or it does not work  out.

16. I feel stuck and a bit frozen over. It seems that my life will never  change.

If 1, 2, 3, or 4 were true for you, you are in a SPRING period. This is a  wonderful time to plant the metaphorical seeds of your future life-garden; make  plans, gather information, allow the rising green life-force to point you in the  direction of your best and brightest future. Surround yourself with fresh spring  colors, flowering bulbs, nests, and eggs. They will remind you of your own new  beginnings.

If 5, 6, 7, or 8 were true for you, you are in a SUMMER period. Now that warm  sunlike energies fill your life, make the most of it! Stay as busy as you can to  solidify your position and celebrate this expansive time. Surround yourself with  golden, fiery colors, and images of suns, vibrant flowers, and ripening fruits.  They will remind you of your own vibrant  I-can-do-it life-force.

If 9, 10, 11, or 12 were true for you, you are in an AUTUMN period. This is  the time to celebrate your accomplishments, gather in what you need for the  future, evaluate your life, and release what you have outgrown. Surround  yourself with warm wine and turning-leaf colors, and images of harvest: apples,  pumpkins, vines and bunches of ripe grapes, and vibrant leaves. They will remind  you of your own life-harvests and encourage you to continue letting go of  anything that is no longer appropriate for you as you gather in your own inner  harvest.

If 13, 14, 15, or 16 were true for you, you are in a WINTER period. Although  it may feel as if this time will last forever, take heart:  everything changes,  and so will this–especially if you stop fighting it and decide to honor it  instead. Take plenty of time to sleep, and be sure to write down your dreams.  Take a retreat from the busyness of life. Surround yourself with the grounding  energies of stones and clear quartz crystals, soft cozy fabrics, and bare  branches. They will remind you that a period of rest is an essential part of the  cycle of life.

Daily Feng Shui News for Oct. 7th – ‘Smiling’

Turn that frown upside down today because smiling comes with actually health benefits. Smiling is said to make you more attractive while also affecting an immediate lift to your spirits and mood. Smiling relieves stress while boosting your immune system and releasing natural pain-killers. And a smile is said to make you look younger, as it lifts the muscles in the face. Some studies suggest that smiling people appear more confident and successful while others say that a smile can actually help you to stay positive while relieving depression and stress. Like I said, turn that frown upside down today — you’ll be really happy you did.

Daily OM for October 2nd – Staying Afloat

Staying Afloat

Riding the Wave of life

by Madisyn Taylor

While riding the wave of life you must also practice stillness so you can flow with, rather than resist the wave’s motion.

Our lives are continually in motion, buoyed by the wave that is the universe’s flow. As the wave rises and falls, we are carried forward, through life’s high and low points. The universe’s flow may take us to a place in life where we would rather not be. As tempting as it can be to fight the direction and size of this wave that propels us, riding the wave is intended to make life easier. When you ride the wave, your life can evolve naturally and with minimal effort. Riding the wave, however, is not a passive experience. It is an active process that requires you to be attentive, centered, and awake. You must also practice stillness so you can flow with, rather than resist the wave’s motion.

Because life is dynamic and always changing, it is when we try to make the wave stand still or resist its direction that we are likely to get pulled under by its weight. If you try to move against the wave, you may feel as if you are trapped by it and have no control over your destiny. When you reach a low point while riding the wave and find your feet touching bottom, remember to stay standing so that you can leap forward along with the wave the next time it rises. Trying to resist life’s flow is a losing proposition and costly because you waste energy.

Riding the wave allows you to move forward without expending too much of your own efforts. When you ride the wave, you are carried by it and your head can “stay above water as you go wherever it takes you. It can be difficult to trust the universe and let go of the urge to fight life’s flow, and you may find it easier to ride the wave if you can stay calm and relaxed. Riding the wave will always take you where you need to go.

Daily Feng Shui News for Sept 23 – 'Innergize Day'

Let’s all get energized on ‘Innergize Day.’ The fastest and most effective way to energize from the inside out is to practice deep breathing. This next exercise will not only energize you but you’ll also get a bit of cosmic assistance to take through your day. Called The Ferson Method, stand with your feet flat on the floor and your arms straight out from the shoulders with your hands turned slightly up to the sky. Breathing in through your nose, fill your belly with air. Exhale through your mouth as if you are whistling. Then say this: ‘Universal life force energy flows through me now. I feel it.’ Wait 15 seconds and do this again, and repeat for a total of four times. Then you’ll be filled with universal life force energy! It just doesn’t get any more ‘innergized’ than that.

Daily Feng Shui News for Sept. 17th – 'Time's Up Day'

Today’s ‘Time’s Up Day’ reminds me to tell you about timekeepers and Feng Shui. This tradition says that you should never gift anyone with a watch or any other type of timepiece, as you’re basically wishing them limited time in their lives. You also need to be careful where you position clocks in your household, office and bedroom. Hanging clocks on any of the walls that would be considered within the confines of the Bagua map (the map we use to locate major life aspirations) will bring limiting energies to those same spaces and intentions. Rather, keep clocks in innocuous places to limit the limits that they can attract.

The Origin of Magick

The Origin of Magick

Author:   Crick [a WitchVox Sponsor]

Have you ever wondered about the origins of magick?
By magick I am not referring to the stage tricks employed by various entertainers for our amusement, but rather the energy which numerous cultures and belief systems have tapped into in order to manifest their various objectives.

This universal gift is known by many different names depending on which culture/belief system one looks at. It may be known simply as magick, prayers, miracles, life force, juju, karma and so forth.
For the purpose of this article it will be referred to as energy.

Have you ever wondered if such energy was a latent presence here on earth prior to the arrival of humankind? Residing here as an ancient primordial force, which was patiently waiting for sentient beings to discover its presence and purpose.

And if it was here prior to the arrival of human beings, did it serve an active purpose in the shaping of life and/or the creation of events that allowed for said life to begin? Was this primordial energy an essence that was introduced by Deity by way of a direct involvement with what we know as life? Or was it a side effect that formed as a result of actions taken by Deity during the course of said activities?

Or perhaps it is a development that manifested itself with the advent of humans? Could it be that the life force that we know as spirit introduced this energy into the life process in order to provide us with opportunities to expand our spiritual awareness and/or connection with alternate realms?

And if this is the case, why do you suppose that such a tool for growth and/or communication is so under utilized?

I say this because in society today, folks tend to become less connected with the world around them and more absorbed with the part of the self that is influenced by the individual ego.

And if this is a tool for growth and communication, why is it that those folks who actually use this energy for this purpose are spurned and looked upon with suspicion and in many cases with outright disdain by others in society? Witchcraft in essence, embodies the concepts and principals in the use of such energy.

And yet the word “witch” brings out and runs the gauntlet of emotions and perceptions of humanity as a whole. And depending on which side of the fence one stands, a witch is either an evil and vile creature or a person who is in touch with and resonates with the universal energies of which magick is a major part of.

Where does this fear of the unknown come from?

Was the ego installed into our souls as a balance to such a powerful tool? Has the balance shifted too far to one side of our souls?

As humans we readily employ magick in our various endeavors, but do we really understand its origins and what exactly is that we are using as a tool? Could the ego be a safety mechanism that has been allowed for whatever reasons, to exceed its purpose?

In some cultures, magick known as prayers is used as a means of communication with Deity. Does magick have but one specific intended use? And if so, are all other uses of such energy but an abuse of its original intended use?

Within these same cultures, when an event that is normally beyond the capacity of mere mortals, occurs, it is called a miracle.

Are these so called miracles really but a form of the same energy that others would call magick? Can we as humans in fact manifest these miracles by employing this energy? Or should such manifestations be the sole province of deity?

And while we are on the subject, does this energy have a shelf life?

Does it become stronger with use, opening even more avenues of discovery and power as one venture along the path, or does it weaken from non-use and/or the cultural disbelief in such a power?

Or is it simply a neutral tool offered by the powers to be, with many different attachments waiting to be realized by humanity.

Regardless of what name we call this energy or by what concept we use to identify with it, this gift has surpassed all boundaries of cultural, religious and societal beliefs. It is found in all aspects and fiber of this existence that we call life. It is a dominant force, often in a passive way, in basically everything that we do as humans. As such we may most likely only achieve but a peripheral understanding of such a complicated and diverse force.

Perhaps one day when we become as one with deity, a more comprehensive understanding of such a gift will be made known to us. But until such a revelation is proffered by the powers that be, we should always strive to understand as much as we are able to in order to effectively use such energy in a way that is both constructive and meaningful to our personal lives and not only our personal lives but to those around us as well.

As members of a diverse community, we have a responsibility to contribute to the health and well being of our community. Because of the diversity of society, there will always be divergent views as to what this energy is or in how it is to be used. But at the end of the day, how we use such energy is still an individual decision.

There are certain pagans, in particular Wiccans, who believe that whatever energy is sent out will return to the originator threefold.
As a traditional witch, I personally am not so sure that such a transfer is so cut and dry, but in general such a concept is a good yardstick or learning curve to adhere to.

I personally do not consider myself a master for I do not believe in such a being outside of deity. Rather I am a student of life with lots of questions. For without such questions there are no answers.
And quite frankly I don’t have answers to many of the questions that I have asked here. What few answers I may have are based upon my personal life experiences.

As pagans we are each individual and thus should answer such questions as they pertain to each person in regards to ones own beliefs and practices…

Daily Horoscopes for Sunday, September 8

Equilibrium is elusive today as sudden blasts of information from beyond our outer limits zap us. Unfortunately, even the fair-minded Libra Moon fails to give us perspective as a parade of complex alignments distracts us from our positive approach. Tense aspects from communicator Mercury require us to process internal conflicts between head and heart. The Moon’s shift into pointed Scorpio at 9:44 pm EDT forces us to make up our minds.

Aries Horoscope

(Mar 21 – Apr 19)

Breaking free from the restraints that hold you back is complicated if you keep running into more obstacles. It could feel like a losing battle, because each problem you solve today quickly turns into two more. The harder you push to tie up the loose ends, the more things seem to tangle up. Fortunately, it’s not nearly as hopeless as it might appear at first. Back off a bit and don’t try so hard; some of the resistance may be of your own creation.

Taurus Horoscope

(Apr 20 – May 20)

There is a strong emphasis on your work today, but an unaddressed emotional issue might prevent you from accomplishing your goals. You are bumping up against an awkward energy that isn’t easy to engage because it’s not aimed directly at you. Nevertheless, don’t participate in petty disagreements, because they won’t improve your current situation. Fly under the radar now and do what you must, without attracting too much attention to yourself. Your low-key approach won’t go unappreciated by those who matter.

Gemini Horoscope

(May 21 – Jun 20)

Your life may be noisy today as tensions become obvious and there seems to be no way around an unpleasant situation. But, of course there is a viable path, especially because circumstances continue to change throughout the day. You still might be sorting out your feelings by the evening, but the problem itself could very well be in the past. Your discomfort will pass if you let your emotions run their course without interference from your analytical mind.

Leo Horoscope

(Jul 23 – Aug 22)

You may be on a slow-motion collision course today with a lover, partner or friend. Although you might attempt to avoid a confrontation, it’s healthier to face the music and just get it over with. There could be very real disagreements over fundamental issues, and the more you talk about them, the more complicated they become. Nevertheless, stick with it. It’s always darkest right before the dawn; a breakthrough can happen when you least expect it.

Virgo Horoscope

(Aug 23 – Sep 22)

You want to share your crazy plans now that trickster Mercury is playing a major role in the picture. However, the mental agitation is annoying, preventing you from enjoying an exchange that might normally be quite pleasant. Although you’re yearning to break free from your routine, the pressure of responsibility will likely restrain you for a while. You must follow through on your previous commitments. Don’t worry; you will get your chance for change soon enough.

Libra Horoscope

(Sep 23 – Oct 22)

A fantastic idea may become problematic as you bog down in the execution, especially if it involves home or family issues. If you don’t think through the consequences of an off-the-cuff remark, you might need to deal with the aftermath sooner than you think. Although this is not ultimately a difficult day, you still probably have to work harder than usual just to keep things moving in a healthy direction. Remember, your positive attitude makes all the difference in the world.

Scorpio Horoscope

(Oct 23 – Nov 21)

You’re in your power now and you might even be surprised by the current intensity, but you are equipped to handle nearly any brewing storm. The next few days may seem like the kind of exam that you can’t study for; nevertheless, paying attention to the signs can tilt the scales in your favor. Don’t try to hold on to the status quo. Let the uncertainties lead you through the transformation ahead without dwelling on any irrational fears. Follow your intuition with confidence and everything will be alright.

Sagittarius Horoscope

(Nov 22 – Dec 21)

Sometimes you sound like you know everything because you often do understand more than others. However, it’s most helpful to admit what you don’t know before you find yourself in over your head. There may be many loose ends to tie up, so it could be useful to have assistance. Don’t pretend that you have it all together now unless you actually do. You have less to prove than you might think and more to gain if you’re willing to ask for help.

Capricorn Horoscope

(Dec 22 – Jan 19)

It seems as if you already did all the steps possible to further your career; unfortunately, something still isn’t quite right. Perhaps you overlooked a tiny detail that grows bigger as the day progresses. Maybe someone throws a wrench into the gears of time and you’re not prepared for what happens next. You’re able to take it all in stride if you have done your homework. But, if you haven’t prepared wisely, your plan can fall apart and you will need to make it right before moving on.

Aquarius Horoscope

(Jan 20 – Feb 18)

You might be judged for what you say or what you write, even if your ideas are sound. Your concepts could even be brilliant now, but as you act on your thoughts, something may not work as imagined. Revise your thinking based upon your experience. If you assume you know it all, you don’t. However, you have what it takes if you are open to change — and others can’t help but notice your positive attitude.

Pisces Horoscope

(Feb 19 – Mar 20)

Someone at work may give you a hard time today, but having an external reason to practice self-discipline is exactly what you need at this time. However, the resistance you face could be troublesome if you are the methodical type; a disturbed routine might make you less efficient for a while. But once you adapt to your new pace, you will feel re-energized and more enthusiastic about your future.

Autumn: The Croning Time

Autumn: The Croning Time

Author:   Lady Abigail

Spirited away, my energy gently glides above the treetops like a down feather blown within the circling wind. Below, I see the quilted workings of Mother Earth in the patches of green grass, freshly plowed ground and fields of grain ready now for the harvest. The air is sweet and cool as it moves round my body and delights me like loving whispers of voices unknown. Faeries dance on wing; their joyous laughter calling my spirit ever on. Reaching down, I try to grasp a bright purple leaf from atop the sugar maple. As my energy moves within the magickal moment, I feel the sun warming me as it moves through the essences of my being, giving glimmers of what possibilities lie just beyond. . .

And then, in a sound, a spark of light, the cracking of a twig, I find myself laying atop the freshly cut hay ready for baling. Yet looking down I find within my hand the big and beautiful purple leaf from the top of the old sugar maple. Did I pick it up in my dreams or from under the tree? In my heart I shall always believe it came within that veil of magick just between dreams and what others call reality.

I always looked forward to sharing my adventures with my Great Grandmother. She, in her wisdom, would listen to each of my quests with attentive wonder and delight. It didn’t matter if they were ones of my chasing a frog down the creek bank for a few short and muddy hours, or those that carried me above the tree tops and into the veils of magick and possibility. She was there for me, smiling and teaching; teaching me many lessons I still remember even today.

Now that Autumn is here and Samhain is quickly approaching, I cannot help but remember the magick I felt and still feel today in this time of changing. The energy seems to rise within my spirit, as it sparks and dances across the essence of my soul. It touches me in memories and stories shared as my Great Grandmother would teach the old ways and the understanding of the Seasons of Life. In this, I again feel I can soar above the treetops in the arms of Autumn.

Fall is more than a season or that time of transition from summer to winter. Fall is what my Great Grandmother called the “Croning Time;” that time where the giving of life moves to the teaching of life within wisdom, no longer giving birth to new life, but nurturing all that is life and all that life brings.

Autumn is the “Spirit Goddess of the Changing.” She is guardian of the Croning Time.” Autumn in Her feminine form, is welcoming us unto Her as She, in wisdom, changes to the Crone. Autumn is a Grandmother Goddess and a keeper of the Cauldron of Life. She is wise with great knowledge and the understanding, which has grown within and of her experiences. Proud and strong, She dresses in the glorious colors of all that She is and shall be again.

As the Great Crone, Autumn, welcomes us with understanding of our own personal changes within the seasons that are life. She teaches us that Fall, as the Croning Time, is a time of celebration and joy. As we celebrate the seasons and ourselves, we find the wisdom within to see the beauty held in all the colors that make life the magick that it truly is.

Today in the eternal goal of everlasting youth, we find disgrace in and hide the changes of our personal seasons of life. Wrinkles are no longer seen as the lines of knowledge and understanding from the roads in life we have traveled and conquered. Now they are marks of shame for what nature brings us. We fight and pull and dug until sometimes, we cannot even recognize the reflection looking back at us in the mirror.

Graying hair is no longer a crown of wisdom, but a symbol of old age to be hidden. Age is no longer held as a destination of honor but is approached with the fear that we will be cast away, unimportant and forgotten. For our society finds it easer to lock away the wisdom of the aged behind closed doors than to seek the secrets held within. Perhaps age causes us dread because it uncovers within what our emotions fear. For when we are faced with those aged by life it reminds us each of the approach of inevitable death. Death no longer being a new beginning but the end of what was.

Autumn, as the Great Crone reminds us, that time life and death are but a thought, a moment flashing past eternity. Not to be feared but each to be relished and enjoyed. For as with the seasons, each holds it on gifts. Spring, Her excitement of the possibilities of the magick life holds anew. Summer, Her knowledge growing as She gives birth to new beginnings and eternal hope. Autumn, in Her wisdom and beauty reminds us of all that we have and all we have to give. Winter, wraps us in Her soft blanket of white that we might rest within the arms of Mother Earth to be reborn again in Spring. For this time shall come again as time circles forward in the Great Wheel of Life.

For thousands of years, women of wisdom and age were honored, valued and revered as the Elder Women. Autumn, as the Spirit Goddess of the Changing, is also the guardian of the Croning Time. Dressed in Her radiant colors, She reminds us of the respect held by those who are entering The Croning Time. Autumn allows us to reclaim our identity and status of the ancients, as Crones and Elders. We are coming of age, accessing our wisdom and acting upon it. Croning is the process of becoming active wise women.

Croning can begin at any age and is particularly relevant for women 45 and older. Yet, even men can become Crones within their on understandings of this passage. Personal experiences of aging provide the understanding of your path within this Time of Changing. It is up to us to decide how the circumstances of life transform us and move us forward.

We can no more hold back time and aging than we can stop the Great Wheel as it moves forward in its seasons. Perhaps the reason we all find such a joyous renewal in the energy of fall is the power that Autumn gives us over the fear of change, in both life and death. Change should not be feared but celebrated, for life has given us another year of wonder, magick and beauty.

My Great Grandmother opened my eyes to the magick of the seasons. She walked with me as I found the Goddess all around me, dressed in Her bright and fiery colors of reds, oranges, purples, and gold’s. When I became tired, she encouraged me to walk forward on the hillsides and watch the morning rise as the glistening dew gave a kaleidoscope of color on the leaves. When I became weak, she would carry me until I could once more hear the sweet mystical voice flowing in the breeze that would renew my spirit.

Autumn is the Croning Time, a time of magick, a time for renewal of spirit. As you experience the mysterious energy of this mystical season, allow the child within you to replenish your soul . . . and again look to the treetops in their beauty and touch the veils beyond.

Now I am the Crone, proud to teach those within my life in honor to my Great Grandmother. Let the magick of the Season truly touch your spirit as you walk forward in the colors of life.

Today's I Ching Hexagram is 1: Creative Power

1: Creative Power

Tuesday, Sep 3rd, 2013

hexagram09

The atmosphere is ripe with imagination, inspiration and energy, symbolized by the flying dragon. The dragon is an ancient symbol of an electrically charged, dynamic, arousing force that bodes well for creative initiatives. If your goals are in alignment with the greater good, your actions will meet with success, but this can only happen if you apply yang energy in a positive way. This hexagram, which consists of all yang lines, indicates a good time to take a leadership role, because Creative Power is with you now. But be forewarned: success turns to failure if you let strength turn to arrogance.

Believe in your vision and persevere; everything around you will flourish. Call upon Creative Power and let it work through you. Stay focused on your goals. Do not let yourself be distracted, or you may lose the power available to you now. And remember that when taking action, successful results require good timing.

Your Daily Horoscopes for Monday, September 2

We are motivated to express our feelings in a bold and beautiful way today, yet an early morning Mars-Neptune aspect may have us floating aimlessly in space for a while. Meanwhile, the theatrical Leo Moon encourages drama. A combative Mercury-Mars alignment could turn things aggressive as buried tensions rise to the surface, setting the stage for the possibility of conflict. Expecting the unexpected is a smart idea, but isn’t always easy to do.

Aries Horoscope

(Mar 21 – Apr 19)

You are enthusiastic about your future prospects, yet as soon as you make your move, the energy begins to disperse. The problem is that you must figure out where you want to go before your new path is revealed. Nevertheless, this doesn’t lessen the likelihood of a significant shift. Something’s going to change; you just need to decide what. Adopting a proactive approach enables you to be in charge of the direction you take.

Taurus Horoscope

(Apr 20 – May 20)

You may have to respond to an unexpected twist of fate, testing your confidence. But this unscheduled hiccup isn’t necessarily negative, for you can turn an upsetting situation into one that is quite enjoyable. Still, you probably won’t know where the day will take you, even if you have a well-developed plan in place. Don’t worry if things fall apart; they will reorganize into something better in the next few days. Embrace the chaos as a vehicle for creating positive change.

Gemini Horoscope

(May 21 – Jun 20)

Your concern over losing independence is triggered now that new responsibilities are weighing heavily on you. Unfortunately, you are probably more scattered than usual, so find somewhere to sit alone in a quiet place to reclaim your center. This little exercise to eliminate some of the extraneous noise in your life can turn your day around. Thankfully, you may be pleasantly surprised how easy it is once you remove the unnecessary distractions.

Cancer Horoscope

(Jun 21 – Jul 22)

Facing an unusual set of circumstances is not your idea of a fun-filled day. Others, it seems, are not playing the current game according to your rules. Although confusion might not seem like a source of happiness, an unplanned detour could bring additional freedom that enables you to respond in new ways. Trusting your intuition can help you stabilize the imbalanced situation and save the day.

Leo Horoscope

(Jul 23 – Aug 22)

A bit of confusion now isn’t as worrisome as it seems at first. You are on a creative roll, so keep your eyes wide open so you can recognize the truth when you see it. It doesn’t matter whether or not information is coming from totally unexpected quarters. You are being shown an extreme solution to a problem that doesn’t have a normal way out. Take a leap of faith and fly.

Virgo Horoscope

(Aug 23 – Sep 22)

Your dilemma is that logic and practicality won’t fix anything now, which doesn’t make you happy one bit. After all, you are itching for a dramatic transformation. Tread carefully because there is irrepressible movement stimulating tension within a relationship. If you attempt to withhold your energy, it could be awkwardly expressed by someone else. It’s better, of course, when change originates from your heart.

Libra Horoscope

(Sep 23 – Oct 22)

You are considered to be a champion of harmony and grace, but you might not feel so accommodating today. Expect sudden shifts of energy, even if you have trouble putting your finger on the source. If someone suggests an idea that you can’t immediately wrap your mind around, don’t judge it too quickly. Let the thought unfold completely before you dismiss it as crazy. It’s crucial to remain open to radical change and a new perspective offers you a chance to build something real and lasting.

Scorpio Horoscope

(Oct 23 – Nov 21)

Your friends might seem rather rigid in their thinking today, possibly pushing you to lose your temper and yell loudly as you try to wake them up to the truth. Even if you are thinking about the sacrifices you made and the freedom you gave up, don’t try to force others to see things your way. Concentrate on the dynamics of what’s happening and don’t focus on any one particular outcome. Keeping your options open helps others to do the same.

Sagittarius Horoscope

(Nov 22 – Dec 21)

You may be chasing a rainbow today, only to see it reappear over the next hill again and again. You have grown weary of the disappointments and frustrations and are reaching another fork in the road. You want to make something happen right away and you’re eager to go where you’ve never gone. Change is in the air; initiating bold action greatly improves your chances of finding the pot of gold.

Capricorn Horoscope

(Dec 22 – Jan 19)

Escaping the stress is nearly impossible if you insist on your world being neat and tidy with everything under control. However, seeking the safety of stable structures isn’t an option today. Whatever you have relied on in the past is now shifting. Fortunately, once you move beyond your fear of the unknown, you may find your journey quite exhilarating. Free your mind and enjoy the ride.

Aquarius Horoscope

(Jan 20 – Feb 18)

Your life feels unsettled today, yet something may happen that helps to facilitate the changes you want. A close friend or partner might demand your assistance, even if you can’t deliver what’s needed. Instead of stressing about an impossible situation, explain your limited availability as objectively as you can. Although you could have to manage someone else’s disappointment, a compassionate approach should smooth over any ruffled feathers along the way.

Pisces Horoscope

(Feb 19 – Mar 20)

You are usually willing to go along with the changing tides, even if permanent shifts don’t always come easily to you. However, you have a wonderful opportunity now to alter your direction if you can remain adaptable to the current situation. You inspire others with your faith, especially if you aren’t afraid of taking radical action at the right time. Remember, it’s the dramatic gestures that will have the most impact today.

BLESS YOUR CAR

Before embarking on a long journey, you may find it beneficial to bless your auto. Walk around your car clockwise and examine the body, the windows, the wheels, and so on. Imagine yourself storing up more and more energy within yourself with each breath that you take, then breathe out all of the energy, fixing it in each of the car’s part. Say out loud the following:

“May the protection of the Lord & the Lady
be in & about this vehicle, that it may deliver
us safe to our destination.

So mote it be!”

Let’s Talk Witch – Finding Power Center

Sacred spots exist in every country and region, perhaps in your own backyard. All you have to do to locate them is attune your awareness to pick up the earth’s vibrations. As you seek out places that house special energy, pay attention to these key indicators that tell you you’re standing on holy ground:

Body heat increases (without the sun coming out or other environmental causes).

Dowsing rods or pendulums react positively, as if finding a hit.

The place appears repeatedly in your dreams, usually with something magickal or spiritual taking place there.

An emotional sense of peace and tranquility settles over you like a warm blanket.

You get a feeling that you’re not alone (as if the animals, birds, trees, or other living things are trying to communicate with you through motion, sounds, or symbols).

Hairs on your arms rise, as if you’ve been exposed to a current of energy, or you feel a sudden chill.

There are unusually lush displays of plants uncharacteristic of the region; for example, a streak of bright green grass was once called a faery trail, and these usually follow ley lines.

Your totems and power animals appear there regularly.

You experience a sense of timelessness, as if there is only now.

You can also dowse an area to assess its energy. A pendulum will pick up speed and spin enthusiastically in the presence of a ley line or power center. Dowsing rods tip down toward the ground when they connect with this vibrant earth energy. You can even dowse a map to find a sacred site near your home.
