A Little Humor for Your Day – "I Know Now Why I Keep My Feet on the Ground, lol!"

British Airways Flight 602

“This is Captain Sinclair speaking. On behalf of my crew I’d like to welcome you aboard British Airways flight 602 from New York to London. We are currently flying at a height of 35,000 feet midway across the Atlantic.

“If you look out of the windows on the starboard side of the aircraft, you will observe that both the starboard engines are on fire.
“If you look out of the windows on the port side, you will observe that the port wing has fallen off.
“If you look down towards the Atlantic ocean, you will see a little yellow life raft with three people in it waving at you.
“That’s me your captain, the co-pilot, and one of the air stewardesses. This is a recorded message. Have a good flight!”

hexagram09

The atmosphere is ripe with imagination, inspiration and energy, symbolized by the flying dragon. The dragon is an ancient symbol of an electrically charged, dynamic, arousing force that bodes well for creative initiatives. If your goals are in alignment with the greater good, your actions will meet with success, but this can only happen if you apply yang energy in a positive way. This hexagram, which consists of all yang lines, indicates a good time to take a leadership role, because Creative Power is with you now. But be forewarned: success turns to failure if you let strength turn to arrogance.

Believe in your vision and persevere; everything around you will flourish. Call upon Creative Power and let it work through you. Stay focused on your goals. Do not let yourself be distracted, or you may lose the power available to you now. And remember that when taking action, successful results require good timing.

Let's Talk Witch – Cultivating Your Seeds

Cultivating Your Seeds

There is a seed of genius in your heart. It is a seed with the potential for bringing about more healing and creating more positive change than you can possibly imagine, and it is unlike any other seed in any other heart. In order to allow this seed to begin to sprout, you must quiet your mind, shut out the noise and illusions of the world, let your heart open and listen to the wisdom deep within. Then, you must water the seed and seedling with patience, open-mindedness and a commitment to following your inner nudges.

If the Beatles had devoted their lives to helping people with leprosy in Calcutta, “All You Need Is Love” would never have worked its magic on the world. Similarly, if Mother Teresa has pursued a music career, countless lives would have suffered from her absence. While these are exceptionally famous examples, one need not be even the tiniest bit famous to set in motion potent waves of positivity and healing. All one needs is to be true to her heart and follow the path of her joy.

Whether we’re called to volunteer, to contribute, to engage in a traditional service-based career, or to engage in any other action that allows us to be a service to the world, being the change we wish to see is necessary ingredient to living passionately, purposefully, and with deep abiding joy.

Feng Shui News for August 31 – 'Love Litigating Lawyers Day'

I’m guessing that it was a lawyer who first declared this ‘Love Litigating Lawyers Day’ because I don’t know many people who feel that same way, myself included. But, just in case you’re involved in a legal affair and could use a cosmic assist in the courtroom, you can say this affirmation both silently and aloud in order to sway the outcome your way. Say this at least nine times throughout any day: ‘The inspiration of the Almighty shall be my defense and I shall have plenty of silver.’

Daily Motivator for August 28th – Little bits

Little bits

If all you can do right now is a little bit, do it. Those little bits will  quickly add up.

Value that is built over time, in small increments, tends to be value that  also lasts for a long time. Use each opportunity, each day, to build more.

Doing something, even if it is just a little bit, is infinitely more  productive than doing nothing. So do something, where you are, with what you  have, using the time that’s available to you.

By doing something now, you increase the value of what you’re able to do  later. By doing something useful with this moment, you preserve the moment’s  value long after the moment has passed.

By all means, do as much as you can. And if all you can do right now is just  a little bit, that’s a whole lot more than nothing.

Do a little bit now, a little bit later, and as much as you can each chance  you get. Soon you’ll have a whole lot of good things to show for your  efforts.

Feng Shui Tip for August. 26: 'National Dog Day'

How apropos that ‘National Dog Day’ falls during the traditional dog days of summer. If you suspect that Fido is overheated, don’t immerse him in cold water. The water trapped in the haircoat will warm and act as insulation against the cooling intent, actually working in reverse. Rather, station him in front of a fan and mist him with ice cold water. Do this briefly and then stop all cooling efforts — the process continues even after you stop. I cannot emphasize this enough. A very brief effort is all it takes to get a dog’s temperature down. Obviously, the best way to prevent overheating is to keep Spot in a controlled and cool environment. You’ll be the coolest owner around if you just do that.

Sweeping Spells and Lore

SWEEPING SPELLS AND LORE

If you feel your life is in chaos, take a look around at your front porch and
front walkway. If the front walk is cluttered with leaves and dirt, then sweep
your walkway and front porch clean with your magickal broom and envision that
your life is in order and that all that comes to your will be clean and cleared.

When you move from one house to another, it’s always good to change your
workaday broom. Either burn your old one, or make sure that it is buried with
honor. Always bring a new broom into the new house, but sweep some dirt from the outside in before you sweep the dirt from the inside out. This is to bring in
good luck from the beginning and not push your luck out the door.

Always hang a broom by the front door for protection. Brooms will keep the bad
things out and the good things in. I have a broom at every door of my home. I
keep it in the corner. Always stand a broom on end with the brush facing up.
This helps the wear and tear on the brush  and it’s also said to bring love from
the earth through the broomstick and given up to the heavens through the brush.

If your broom falls from your hand while you are sweeping or doing other work,
make a wish before you pick it up. It’s also said that if a broom falls from it’s kept place, company is coming and it’s not good news. When you pick up your
broom after something like this happens, sweep the energy out the door and bid
it adue not to return again.

If you or your kin are having recurrent nightmares or night hauntings, sweep the
room clockwise while stating that all that lies between here and the other world
be gone and back whence you came.
Hither, hither, hither gone.
Hither, hither, hither gone
Hither, hither, thither gone
So Mote It Be.

Now stand the broom outside the bedroom door and place a piece of garlic under
the bed.

Feng Shui Tip for August 25 – 'Kiss and Make Up Day!'

Pucker up, because today is ‘Kiss and Make Up Day!’ But before pursing those lips you might want to first make them kissably soft. Mix a bit of white and brown sugar and ground coffee (for plumpness) with olive oil and honey. Rub this blend over your lips and scrub with your fingers in a circular motion. Be gentle. Wash off with warm water and then apply a thin coat of vitamin E to your lips. Whether you’re making up or not, once you use this all-natural lip softener you’ll be good and ready to get good and kissed.

Let's Talk Witch – Pins and Needles

Witch-Spell-witches-and-wizards-18449264-394-498

*I know Mystie posted a lot of information on Poppets. But I do not believe she ever gave you information on how to use the pins and needles. Pins and needles are commonly associated with Poppets. And if you are going to use them, you can’t just jab them here and there. Below you will find a simple guide as to where to place the pins and needles. I hope it helps!”

Pins and Needles

When poppets are used, in most cases, you will use pins and needles inserted in conjunction with the part of the victim’s body. Of course, if the intent is to cause illness, locating the proper insertion point is just a matter of common sense. However, other key insertion points are often overlooked. And it’s to that end that a brief list follows below for your convenience.

Mouth:  To keep someone from spreading lies, speaking ill of you, or to hold gossip at bay, insert nine pins in the mouth.

Buttocks:  To keep someone from taking your job, place three pins each buttock cheek.

Hands:  Insert pins here to keep the victim from stealing from you–this could include preventing the theft of your lover–and to sentence him or her to a life of poverty.

Head: Pins inserted in the area can cause confusion, disorientation, and depression.

Eyes:  These are excellent inssertion points when the intent involves making the victim oblivious to your action.

Nose:  Insert two pins in each nostril to stop nosy neighbors, or keep the target from interfering in your business.

Daily Motivator for August 22nd – Somewhere special

Somewhere special

You don’t have to go somewhere special to be somewhere special. Wherever you  happen to be has a unique and valuable beauty all its own.

You don’t have to do anything special to experience how truly great and  special life is. Even in the ordinary things there is always extraordinary  richness to be found.

Just the sensation of the warm sun on your skin is amazing. And that’s  something you can feel anywhere on the face of the Earth.

There’s no need to wait until some special moment to experience life in all  its glory. The fact is, you can make any moment special just by giving your love  and authenticity to it.

Look around you, wherever you are, and you’ll see plenty of opportunities for  fulfillment. What makes life special is your choice to live it fully.

Allow yourself to feel the wonder, to drink in the beauty and to experience  the special time and place where you are. Life is always special, so live it  accordingly.

Today's Tarot Card for August 21: The Hanged Man

The Hanged Man

Wednesday, Aug 21st, 2013

Traditionally, the card known as the Hanged Man usually indicates a lack of ability to help oneself through independent action. This energy is arrested and awaiting judgment. With this card, there is no avenue for the will to regain control until the situation has passed.

This represents a good time to be philosophical, to study and meditate upon the position you find yourself in, and form resolutions for the moment you become free again. Only those who possess wisdom, patience and optimism will be able to see through limitations, including possible humiliation, to grasp the inspiring lesson one can gain from such an experience.

Laugh Of The Day: Elevator Magick

Elevator Magic

A redneckfamily took a vacation to New York City. One day, the father took his son into a large building. They were amazed by everything they saw, especially the elevator at one end of the lobby. The boy asked, “What’s this, Paw?”
The father responded, “Son, I have never seen anything like this in my life. I don’t know what it is!”
While the boy and his father were watching in wide-eyed astonishment, an old lady in a wheelchair rolled up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened and the lady rolled between them into a small room. The walls closed and the boy and his father watched small circles of lights above the walls light up. They continued to watch the circles light up in the reverse direction. The walls opened again, and a voluptuous twenty-four-year old woman stepped out.
The father turned to his son and said, “Go get your maw!”

A Know It All Computer

I was just notified by this computer that it will restart in 14 minutes. It has some important security updates to add to the system. This will put me off the net for a couple of minutes. I hope you understand. If it wasn’t security updates, I would ignore it. We have found out security is always needed and something not to be ignored. n

I am going to stay online till the computer shuts me down. Then I will be back shortly.

Your Tarot Card for August 16th isThe Chariot

The Chariot

Friday, Aug 16th, 2013

Traditionally, the card usually entitled the Chariot points to a triumphal feeling of freedom, as if the charioteer is being paraded through the streets as a hero (or heroine). The card reflects congratulations for high achievement, and serves as a sign of empowerment.

Huge wheels and frisky steeds speed the rate at which the driver’s willpower can be realized. This kind of charge makes more of the world accessible to anyone ambitious enough to seize the Chariot’s reins. But there is danger in this feeling of freedom, because of the increased rate of change and its power to magnify mistakes in judgment. As a seasoned warrior, the Charioteer is called upon to be extra attentive to the way ahead.

Daily OM for August 15th – Enjoying the Ride

Enjoying the Ride

The Flow of the Universe

by Madisyn Taylor

Many people live their lives struggling against the current while others use the flow like a mighty wind.

The flow of the universe moves through everything. It’s in the rocks that form, get pounded into dust, and are blown away, the sprouting of a summer flower born from a seed planted in the spring, the growth cycle that every human being goes through, and the current that takes us down our life’s paths. When we move with the flow, rather than resisting it, we are riding on the universal current that allows us to flow with life.

Many people live their lives struggling against this current. They try to use force or resistance to will their lives into happening the way they think it should. Others move with this flow like a sailor using the wind, trusting that the universe is taking them exactly where they need to be at all times. This flow is accessible to everyone because it moves through and around us. We are always riding this flow. It’s just a matter of whether we are willing to go with it or resist it. Tapping into the flow is often a matter of letting go of the notion that we need to be in control at all times. The flow is always taking you where you need to go. It’s just a matter of deciding whether you plan on taking the ride or dragging your feet.

Learning to step into the flow can help you feel a connection to a force that is greater than you and is always there to support you. The decision to go with the flow can take courage because you are surrendering the notion that you need to do everything by yourself. Riding the flow of the universe can be effortless, exhilarating, and not like anything that you ever expected. When you are open to being in this flow, you open yourself to possibilities that exist beyond the grasp of your control. As a child, you were naturally swept by the flow. Tears of sadness falling down your face could just as quickly turn to tears of laughter. Just the tiniest wave carrying you forward off the shores of the ocean could carry you into peals of delight. Our souls feel good when we go with the flow of the universe. All we have to do is make the choice to ride its currents.
