Reversal spell

Reversal spell

Items You Will Need:

None, just focus on the spell.

The Spell:

First off, think about the last spell you cast, because this only works for your most recent spell, hex, curse, whatever you did.

Just think about the actual magic you performed, then think about how it went wrong. This should take no more than 20 seconds AT THE MOST. Now say this in a clear voice in these EXACT words without stuttering, mumbling, getting your tongue twisted, etc.:

My spell went wrong,
Please reverse it,
Don’t mess it up,
And don’t pervert it.

A nurturing activity such as-cooking is also good. You will probably find after this-technique that you tend to dream somewhat vividly, as-you uncover some of the joys and hurts of childhood.

Deity of the Day for August 23 – Lasair

Lasair

by Almut Wille
In Irish mythology, Lasair (“Flame”) is the eldest of three sisters, a goddess triad representing the growing, ripening and harvesting of crops. Lasair, goddess of the spring budding, has beautiful long black hair and wears a silver crown, silver jewelry and armbands. She lives in a Red Castle (another reminder of her fiery nature) with an orchard. The god Flann brought her the Rose of Sweetness that never withers, the Comb of Magnificence, and the Girdle of Truth. She is alternately named Lassar Fhna, Lasairona (the latter two meaning “flaming wine”) or Crobh Dearg (Red Claws). Later on, she became a Christian saint and her well is at Lough Meelagh, Ireland. Her feast day is May 1st, the old Bealtaine festival. Her sisters are called Inghean Bhuidhe and Latiaran. The three goddesses are said to be daughters of Douglas and Scthach.

Lighten Up – Murphy’s Law For Witches

Murphy’s Law For Witches

1) No spell is as easy as it looks.

2) If you perceive that there are four possible ways
in which a spell can go wrong,
and circumvent these,
then a fifth way will promptly develop.

3) Every spell performed to solve a problem
will breed new problems.

4) Mother Nature is sometimes a bitch.

5) Anything that can go wrong will go wrong;
and anything that cannot possibly go wrong
will also go wrong.

6) The Craft as understood by Witches,
will be judged otherwise by non-witches.

a) If you explain a situation so clearly that nobody can misunderstand, the news media will.

b) If, during an interview, you explain
99 good things about the Craft, and tell one bad joke,
guess what will make the headlines!

7) No matter what the result of a spell,
there will always be someone eager to:
a) misinterpret it,
b) fake it, and
c) believe that it happened
as a result of his own work.

anything done to improve it
only makes it worse.

9) The Coven is a mule, not a car…if pressed too hard,
it will kick and turn on its High Priest.

12) As soon as you mention something…
if it’s good, it goes away.

‘n-1’ materials.

that the required amounts
have been forgotten.

except those you particularly want to keep.

it will be the issue that concludes the article or ritual
that you are most anxious to read.

it is always the High Priest’s fault.

18) When your familiar has fallen asleep on your lap
and looks utterly content and adorable,
you will suddenly have to go to the bathroom.

Usually after your dentist closes; unless he overdoes the Novocain

it will have to be changed.

21) If you drop your Athame during a rite,
you will discover that you are no longer able
to move your right foot.

consult your Book of Shadows.

25) If the facts do not support your pet theory,
they must be changed or ignored.

26) In any Coven,
each member tends to rise to his level of incompetence.

the really big chunks always rise to the top.

28) Expansion of the Coven means complexity,
and complexity decays.

29) The inevitable result of improved and enlarged
communications between different Covens
is a vastly increased area of misunderstanding.

has already been misunderstood.
Often by your own teacher.

otherwise you will never become an Elder.

with her knowledge of intricate details
has lost sight of the final objective.
and
The High Priest who ignores those same details
in an effort to reach the objective
will end up someplace else.

48) For every vision of the Goddess,
there is an equal or opposite vision
that negates your own vision.

and usually he does so just when you need him the most.

a) If you are on time, it will be late.
b) If you are late, it will have started early.

51) The cream rises to the top of a Coven;
so does the scum.

52) The more complicated and grandiose the ritual,
the greater the chance that it will fail.

53) The more carefully you plan a ritual,
the more you will resist admitting that it failed.

54) When explaining a facet of magick or religion
an easily understood and workable falsehood
is more useful than a complicated and incomprehensible truth.

55) Anyone who makes a significant contribution to the Craft,
and stays in the Craft long enough,
will become an obstruction to its progress in direct proportion
to the importance of the original contribution.

56) Everybody lies;
but it doesn’t matter since nobody listens.

57) If you teach a lazy witch
the proper and safe way to draw a Circle,
he will state that it isn’t necessary to do it that way
and toss out 90% of the ritual.

a) When this lazy witch gets into trouble
due to his ignoring the facts,
he will imagine that his failures are caused by another’s curse.

58) The best and most effective rituals occur
when you are home with the flu.

59) You always hear about the need for a ritual or spell
after that need ends.

60) One hour before your first skyclad Sabbat,
you will develop a large and unsightly pimple upon your left breast.

61) In any Coven your sense of humor
will be inversely proportional to your position.

Calendar of the Sun for August 23

Calendar of the Sun

23 Weodmonath

Vulcanalia: Day of Hephaestos

Color: Red
Element: Fire
Altar: Upon a red cloth worked with flames set four red candles, a flaming brazier, a wooden crutch, a black rock, an anvil, a hammer, and many things worked of metal.
Offering: Fish. Nail parings and hair. Make something.
Daily Meal: Pie.

Vulcanalia Invocation

Lord of volcanoes,
You who understand submerged wrath,
Help me to keep mine in check.
Lord of work,
You who understand its balm to the soul,
Help me to learn the joys of focused labor.
Lord of craft,
You whose fire tempers iron into steel,
You who understand what it is to be crippled,
Beat my will strong and straight again
That the sign of your hammer
May be imprinted in everything I make.
Lord who is the strong iron of competence
And the driving blows of manifestation,
May your hands guide us into honorable work.
Hail Vulcan Mulciber, Charmer of Fire!
Hail Vulcan Quietus; may your gift of tame fire
Stay tame enough not to harm our house!
May your flames warm us, inspire us
And never burn beyond their borders,
So long as we give you the proper respect.

(Each comes forth and places something into the brazier, be it a bit of hair or nail parings, or some of the fish, which is given as an offering because fish is normally safe from fire. Those who wish to be blessed for their crafts may give an offering of craft today, or simply kneel and contemplate the craftwork on the altar, perhaps holding it and praising Hephaistos.)

Your Charm for Wednesday, August 22 – Axe-Head

Your Charm for Today

Today’s Meaning:

As an axe comes to a complete stop when it hits the tree so you have grown motionless. You now must draw back, step away from this quadrant of your life and begin again. Set a new path into motion.

General Description:

This Chinese incised jade Axe head was suspended round the neck, and worn as an amulet to protect the wearer from illness, accidents, and injuries, also as a charm against witchcraft. The Chinese had great faith in the supposed medicinal powers of jade, which was recommended and prescribed by their physicians. The Axe head was always considered to be an emblem of strength and pwer among primitive races; even today small axe heads are still regarded as effective talismans against disease in many countries, and great faith is placed in their supposed supernatural powers of healing.

Spell To Make You Dream Of The One You Love

Items You Will Need:

  • An Object

The Spell:

Find something that symbolizes the person you want to dream of, such as a photo, something they gave you, something they said to you written on paper, etc. Just before going to sleep, recall your most favorite memories with them, then hold the object on your heart and chant:

With these treasured memories,
sweet dreams of you shall come to me.
The way you laugh, the way you smile,
my heart, it skips, it leaps a mile.
Your gentle breath, your tender touch,
I long for you, so very much.
Your lips so soft, your eyes so bright,
I need you on this lonely night.
Let me feel you, smell your scent,
taste your mouth, you’re heaven sent.
Close me in your warm embrace,
and make my heart begin to race.
Pull me ever closer, near,
tell me what I need to hear.
Fulfill my every earthly desire,
until my passion roars like fire.
As is my will, this shall be done,
my magick dream has now begun!

Put the object under your pillow after reading the chant and then go to sleep straight away! 🙂 Enjoy!

‘THINK on THESE THINGS’ for August 21

‘THINK on THESE THINGS’
By Joyce Sequichie Hifler

As long as there has been a human race there has been someone crying out, “No one understands!” Somewhere along the way communications have broken down and the result is misunderstanding.

To be misunderstood is painful. We keep wanting to explain and explain until we get our message across. Sometimes it is the lack of the wise use of words. Then, it may be an unwilling ear. But whatever the race, the politics, sophisticated or home grown, everyone has the desire to be understood. They want every motive, every mood, completely and unquestionably understood.

But to be completely understood can also have its rebound. A goddess can turn into a woman, and a hero can slip into a man when only one of their moods is completely understood.

Understanding breeds familiarity. Familiarity may not breed contempt, but it can certainly take the edge off the mystery. And, it is mystery that keeps life interesting.

In all wisdom, we should worry much less about being completely understood, and make a more diligent effort to understand others.

Something dies within us when no one cares. It is a circumstance of our own making when we have failed to give to another the thought and concern that would have helped when it was most needed.

Sorrows can be borne because others care. Greatness can be achieved because someone cared. To care is our purpose.

Who knows but that these small acts of sympathy and understanding may place another life into the one slot on the jigsaw puzzle of life.

If we were all the things we expect of others, the result would be perfection. We would be perfect in forgiveness, faithful in love, and devoted to the welfare of others. Such excellence has never been accomplished, except that we work continually for it. To work for it, we have to care. And for someone to care is the thing that matters.

“Instead of allowing yourself to be so unhappy, just let your love grow as God wants it to grow; seek goodness in others, love more persons more; love them more impersonally, more unselfishly, without thought of return. The return, never fear, will take care of itself.” – Henry Drummond.

Today’s I Ching Hexagram for August 20 is 16: Enthusiasm

16: Enthusiasm

Hexagram 16

General Meaning:  Enormous creative energy is unleashed by enthusiasm. This energy is like powerful music that inspires people, loosening old constraints and generating new opportunities. Indeed, the power of enthusiasm is best symbolized by music and dance, for it is guided more by the heart than the head. Thus, great good fortune can follow someone who is able to guide this positive force toward victory and a joyous celebration.

Enthusiasm within a group generates a special kind of electricity. When a crowd is ‘charged’, the singer scales new heights, and life becomes its own reward. For who is not in awe of thunder? And who would fail to fill his or her lungs in the aftermath of a cleansing rain?

Arouse the passionate support of others, while adjusting your ideas and plans to suit their needs. In this way you can fill your sails with the mighty winds of shared enthusiasm.

To arouse others, re-double your own dedication and dare to create an environment that is free of tension. Take joy in your projects. Harness the power of song and dance.

‘THINK on THESE THINGS’ for August 18

‘THINK on THESE THINGS’
By Joyce Sequichie Hifler

In this jet age when almost “instant there” is completely accepted, the world has become very small. The days of remaining in one’s own birthplace are near an end, and those who never dreamed of traveling have adjusted themselves to it quite well.

And with shorter distances between us and our neighbors it seems our worlds should find more opportunities for mutual understanding. But we must realize that even though our material worlds may be easily crossed, our thoughts are worlds apart. Until we can bring together a thinking people with the desire to create living conditions that are peaceful and full of kindness, fast travel can waver between good and bad.

A British novelist and poet, George Moore, said, “It is thought, and thought only, that divides right from wrong; it is thought, and thought only that elevates or degrades human deeds and desires.”

August 17 – Daily Feast

August 17 – Daily Feast

We never really lose anyone. If they were ever a part of our lives, they are always a part of our lives. The important thing is not to regret what has gone before but to take from it the lesson, the experience that was in it for us. Lie is a two-way street, not always sunshine and flowers but a few clouds, a few tears, go with it. It is a complex mixture of many things we are supposed to glean from it. We cannot park by what went wrong, nor can we linger forever by something we might have done right. It is a progressive, moving time filled with new experiences, memories both good and not so good, and many promising hours. It is possible to put our emotions aside and remember joy. But above all, the best is yet to be.

~ The Great Spirit placed me here…..to take good care of the ground and to do each other no harm. ~

YOUNG CHIEF

‘A Cherokee Feast of Days’, by Joyce Sequichie Hifler

Time for Me to Take A Moment To Be Human, lol!

Thought I would take a moment to check in with you, lol! I found that silly graphic in my pics when I was digging a while ago. Couldn’t remember if I had ever used it or not? I figured what the heck, why not, go for it!

I don’t know if most of you know or not but I am a night owl by nature. I will probably pass out tonight around 8:00 pm. This is mainly because of my medicine I take in the evening. Then I will sleep till about 2:30 am, get up and I am wide awake all morning. Well till I sit down at the computer anyway. So I find something on TV to entertain me while I do the posts. And it is the Jerry Springer show!

I don’t know if any of you are familiar with the Jerry Springer show but I love it (I’m not mentally deranged, now). But what some of the people come on there and do and say. It is unbelievable that people actually act like that, let alone on TV. Good grief! You have a few of them that come on there and they say, “it can’t be good, I’m on the Jerry Springer show!” So why did you come then, huh?

The show always has a question of the day. Today’s question was, “If you were asked to come on the Jerry Springer show would you come?” Now you are suppose to call a phone number and answer this question. Yeah right! I don’t know if they would want to hear my answer or not, “Hell, NO!” I would probably ask who wanted me on there and then say the other.

I was wondering, do normal people go on there and then turn into crazy people because of the situation they are told? If you got a phone call and they wanted you to go on the show, would you go? If you did, you would have to take a sign and hold it up with your internet ID and have it read, “Lady A, it’s me!” But seriously, would you go?

I can’t wait to hear your answers.

Good Friday Morning, dear friends! What A Fantastic Day!

Ritual Magick: Finding Your Past Lives Through Candle Magic

Finding Your Past Lives Through Candle Magick

Find a nice, quiet, relaxing place were you can obtain peace, quiet and relaxation.

This ritual requires two people. It is a good idea to make sure the second person is a very patient person.

Use a tall candle, one that is dripless or a wide candle on a saucer-like holder (which I personally like to use because this type illuminates more light.)

An audio/video tape recorder can be used to record messages given.

Sit across from the other person in the lotus position, face to face (if possible). If the lotus position is too difficult, then sit on two chairs facing each other.

One person is to hold the candle to the side and front of their face, you will easily determine the distance once you begin.

You must try to not blink too often and remain as still as you can.

There is a tendency, when the other person tells you what they see, to respond emotionally or physically, talk or laugh.

The person not holding the candle will relax, wait and soon see your facial features start to change.

When they change that person may have a message for you about who they are seeing and anything related to that person, thoughts that enter into their minds.

After a while, you will see the person change again and again depending on how long the person can sit still without much flinching.

It is now your turn to hold the candle and allow the other person to view you.

This is very easy, as everyone changes.

You can also do this by yourself standing in front of a mirror, in a dark room, the candle on the side of your face, and then watch yourself sift. You are returning to the source of creation, the light and seeing other aspects of your soul experience.

Talk to that person in your mind, as they have come to you now, through the spiral of time for a reason. Tell them to clear their issues that you seek soul union and something is blocking you here.

With either of these exercises, if you feel discomfort, stop immediately. Something is resisting either emotionally or physically. You can always try later.

There is no time frame for either of these rituals. It is up to you to end them. You know yourself when you are tired or have exhausted all your souls for the evening it is time to quit.

Living As The Witch: The Magic of Speaking Out

Petitions and Incantations: The Magic of Speaking Out

Sounds have powerful effect on the human psyche, stimulating strong mental, emotional, and instinctual responses. Gentle running water can produce an experience of calm, a heart beat sound is commonly used to comfort babies and young animals, and the deep rumbling sound of thunder often evokes fear. Of all the sounds we know, perhaps the most powerful is the sound of the human voice. The human voice can affect all who hear it, produce feelings of love and security, provide direction and purpose, and instill order.

The voice is also a powerful tool. Even when we are alone, feeling powerless and weak, and think we are without defense, we can use our voice to break the bonds of silence, and speak our truth.

The vibration or resonance of voice can uplift the spirit, focus intention, change consciousness, and shape reality. Whether use if for speaking, whispering, shouting, or singing; or employ it in a purposeful and productive manner through incantation, enchantment, petition, charm or mantra, the voice can be used to work magick.

Following the Universal Laws of Nature that describe how energy behaves and the patterns it moves in, we know that sound vibration has an energy signature, and that it affects the objects and subject that it touches, influencing them and changing their vibration. Quite literally, sound has the power to change the energy of a person, interaction, thought or feeling.

A power magical tool, be sure to learn how best to use your voice. Words have always been used to cast spells and state intentions. They have been chanted, recited, and written down, engaging the vibration of the voice and its transformative power in the working of magic.

August 15 – Daily Feast

August 15 – Daily Feast

Most people do not intend to get caught in a bad cause. We simply get swept along with the tide. It can happen because we want to get ahead fast – but it more likely happiness out of ignorance. It has been said that we have the capacity to make heaven a hell, or a heaven of hell. We’ve been known to do both – though it is a matter of choice. According to the Cherokee, it is plain to see that the place called heaven, ga lv la di-tso sv, is the ultimate choice. We have had to deal with situations that we didn’t choose. They were simply piled on us and we tried to help. But here we must be wise. We can’t allow ourselves to be drawn into a cause that is not our responsibility, and that we may not be well informed enough to handle.

~ I have been trying to seize the promises which they made me….but I cannot find them. ~

Your Animal Spirit for August 15th is The Panther

Your Animal Spirit for Today
August 15, 2012

Panther

Panther medicine is the medicine of silence. Panther can stalk its prey in absolute silence—one of the reasons native tribes associate him with the spirit world—particularly the night. Panther can show you how to face the Shadow within and bring it out into the Light. Panther is powerful medicine—and the fact that you choose him says much about your willingness to face the unknown.

Please forgive me for running late……

Good Morning, dearest of friends! I must apologize for running late. My mouse died this morning on me. I had to drive 50 miles to get another one. That’s what I get for living in the boonies, lol! It’s not funny I know. I have done buried my mouse, I threw it in the garbage on the way out the door. Needless to say, I uttered some words that wasn’t very nice to give it a proper send off. If I had had time I would have blew it up with a firecracker. I’m not violent, I just hate to be inconvenienced, lol!

So now on with the show…..

‘THINK on THESE THINGS’ for August 12

‘THINK on THESE THINGS’
By Joyce Sequichie Hifler

Before we can share with others, we must have something to share. And all of us do have something to give. Not material things, but we can share our peace and our love and our loyalty.

Before we can share with others, there must be others with whom to share. For if we are selfish and self-centered enough, we will never have to worry about sharing anything. We will be alone.

Before we can expect others to share with us, we must be capable of accepting. We must be worthy of others who desire to share with us; we must deserve their love.

Before the two of us can ever find anything in this world of mutual interest, we must have enough concern and enough love to feel a need within to produce something good enough to offer; not only to others, but to ourselves. If we have abused our own nature with thoughts of bitterness, harboring painful experiences, self-condemnation for little progress regardless of circumstances, then we have nothing to offer.

The French philosopher Achille Poincelot once said, “Some people think that all the world should share their misfortunes, though they do not share in the sufferings of anyone else.”

Deity of the Day for August 12 – Scathach

Scathach

by Almut Wille
Scathach (“the shadowy one”), is a warrior queen and mistress of a school for young warriors. The school is located in Scotland on the island of Skye, reputedly named after Scathach; other sources say she’s living in the Alps. She initiates young men into the arts of war, as well as giving them the “friendship of her thighs”, that is to say, initiating them sexually. She grants three wishes to the hero Cuchulainn, because her daughter Uathach, being in love with him, has told him how to make her do it. The three wishes are to train him in the arts of war, to marry her daughter Uathach and to tell his fortune which she does by using imbas forosnai(“charm of the palms”), party foretelling the events of the Tain Bo Cuailgne (Cattle Raid of Cooley) in dark terms.
Scathach is said to be the daughter of the king of Scythia. Aoife, another fierce warrior queen, is reputed to be her sister, while Uathach, her daughter, is a fellow teacher at her school. She also has two sons named Cet and Cuar from an unnamed man and trains them within a secret yew tree. Another source tells that she is mother to three maidens named Lasair, Inghean Bhuidhe and Latiaran, the father being a man named Douglas.
