Dog-gone Doggie of the Day for April 6th

Chopper, the Dog of the Day
Name: Chopper
Age: Ten months old
Gender: Male Breed: Boxer
Home: Rhode Island, USA
This is my boxer Chopper also known as Lil Wiggle, Plopper, Chopper Doodle Doo, Dumbo Man, Lil Wiggle Butt, Crazy Dog, Piggy, Lil Piggles, Chop Chop, Trouble and list goes on. I fell in love with this cutie when I first receive a picture of him on my phone. It was the greatest surprise gift of all time. I finally got to meet him few days later on July 12th, 2011 when he was just 10.5 weeks old. He was the cutest puppy I had ever seen.

Chopper is your typical boxer pup. He loves to play all the time. He is either sleeping or playing with his toys, me, or his papa. He is very special to me because he is my first puppy. I definitely baby him all the time. Chopper also has an infinite amount of energy. To help him release some of that energy, we take him for long runs on the beach while we are on our quad. I’m pretty sure he can run 15 mph and more. He is lightning fast. Chopper loves being outside with me. He especially gets super excited when there is snow out. I like to pick him up and drop him in a pile of fresh powder. It’s fun to watch him wiggle out of it in delight. When we aren’t outside playing, we are inside and learning new tricks. He has learned over ten tricks so far. Chopper’s favorite tricks are playing dead and shaking your hand. Other than taking naps at the end of our bed during the day, he also loves to look out our window and watch birds outside.

Chopper Doodle Doo is endless entertainment and fun. He never fails to make me smile and laugh for hours. He is the best friend you could ask for and my life would not be complete without him.

Lissy, the Dog of the Day
Name: Lissy
Age: Four years old
Gender: Female Breed: Dalmatian
Home: Germany
My dog Lissy is a Dalmatian. She is sweet, funny, smart, pretty and cool. She love delis, dog food and dog bones to eat, and she loves to play, and to run. She can run very fast in the fields when we take her there. Lissy is four years old, and she is white and black, as you can see. She does have things she dislikes, though. She dislikes cats a lot, and does not like getting sprayed with water. Most of all she dislikes the Hoover (vacuum cleaner) most of all, and will leave the room when one is brought into it. She is pretty, I think, and she is my friend.

Our freedom is but a light that breaks through from another world.

Today’s Meditation for April 5th

A Game Of Chess

When faced with difficult choices, view the situation as if it were a game of chess. Imagine those involved as pieces on the chess-board. Assume the role of one of the players and meditate on the current state of play. From this position the dynamics of the situation may become clearer, enabling you see the options open to you and to make a wiser choice.

Dog-gone Doggie of the Day for April 4th

Brennan, the Dog of the Day
Name: Brennan
Age: Two years old
Gender: Male Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier
Home: Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
Brennan is a very special dog that I’ve enjoyed bringing into my life. He hasn’t always had a wonderful life though, and his story started out on the streets. Brennan was thrown out and left to fend for himself when he was a puppy. He was found starved to death and living off of mulch by a compassionate family on the other side of town. He was smart enough to eat what he could find, and I’m sure that’s how he survived as long as he did in his condition.

The family took him in, nursed him back to health, got him vetted, and put him up for adoption. He was on Petfinder.com for eight months before I stumbled upon him and immediately fell in love. He joined my life in November of 2010, and is now approximately two years old.

I can’t possibly understand how nobody could want him, because Brennan is nothing but a lovable dork. He loves playing fetch with his favorite green octopus, going for walks, meeting new people and children, and eating everything he thinks is edible, including a couple of shoes and leashes. He is one of the things that brings character and life into my day, and there is nothing more entertaining than coming home to the sweet whimpers and butt wiggles of my goofy boy. He isn’t exactly the brightest crayon in the box, but he is mine and I wouldn’t trade him for the world.

I be darned if I take another day off……

Hello Images, Pics, Comments, Graphics
Good Saturday Morning, my luvs! Did you miss me? Sorry about that! Most of the time I try to give notice when I take a day off. But yesterday was sort of an impromptu day off. And boy, if I take another one off, I hope someone turns me into a jackass (you notice no “lol!”). I won’t go into details because I will just get mad again but it had to do with my lazy husband. Today is peaceful and I am going to let sleeping dogs lay for now, “for now!” Things are always subject to change, lol!

Anyway, I hope you missed me because I missed you. I missed the peace and quiet of the internet. All my sweet and loving friends, all the peace and quiet of the internet, did I mention that already, lol! But it great to be back. It is funny, it seems like you miss just a day, it seems like you have been gone a week or two. So before time gets away from me anymore, I am going to get busy.

Have a super fantastic day!

Love ya,

Lady A

Special Kitty of the Day for March 29th

Jax, the Cat of the Day
Name: Jax
Age: Two years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Domestic Short Hair
Home: Concord, California, USA
Hello! My name is Jax, or Jaxter. I was adopted from the shelter my mom volunteers at when I was nine weeks old (I will be two in April). I was taken away from my brother and sisters and brought to a house that has two dogs and another cat. I try to “play” with the other cat but she just screams at me. Apparently my idea of playing isn’t the same as hers. I always played that way with my siblings at the shelter. But you know, now that I think about it, my little sister used to get fussy with me too when I’d jump on her. Huh, must be a girl thing.

My mom and dad say I act more like a dog than a cat. I greet them at the door when they come home. I love to play fetch with a mouse toy that is torn to shreds. I also love to play with my dog brother, Taggart. I like making funny noises when I find a bug or bat a toy under a door to a closet. Just letting the humans in the house know what’s going on. Oh, and I love getting drinks from the bathroom faucet. Each night when mom goes in to get ready for bed I jump up on the counter and ask for some water.

Here are two baby pictures of me and two big kitty pictures. Can you see how much I’ve grown? Mom says I’m getting chubby, but she loves big kitties. As long as I’m healthy, we’re all happy!

TO MAKE AN ENEMY MOVE

TO MAKE AN ENEMY MOVE

When the moon is in a waning phase, write on white parchment paper (or whatever you
have) the full name of the person you want to move, along with birth date if known.
Roll up the paper, with a photo if you have one, place inside a bottle of vinegar, then
toss into a body of running water, visualize your enemy moving away as the bottle
is washed away.

Precious Pup of the Day for March 28th

Henry, the Dog of the Day
Name: Henry
Age: Four and a half years old
Gender: Male Breed: Spaniel mix
Home: Forchtenberg, Germany
My dog has different colours and he has a soft coat. When he is curious, he holds his head tilted. So I like my dog. But he’s small, very small. In the winter he likes eating very much, so he is getting a little bit thick.

My dog is from Spain, and he’s a mixed breed. He can do lots of good tricks (give five, go slalom ). What I like about my dog is that he looks sooooo sweet and lovely. He’s a independent type. He goes in the forest and then he sniffs everywhere. He favourite game to play is the apple-game! I throw a apple and he runs and then he bites into the apple and he looks like he wants to say ” I think I’ll keep it …” Somentimes he brings back, though. He likes this game. He’s sooooo happy and funny. I like my little dog.

Precious Pups of the Day for March 27th

Otis, the Dog of the Day
Name: Otis
Age: Nine years old
Gender: Male Breed: Black Labrador Retriever
Home: Loganton, Pennsylvania, USA
Otis is special because at the age of two, he jumped off my deck, landed badly and injured his spine. He was unable to walk or control his bladder for quite awhile. I didn’t know if he’d ever walk again, but he proved everyone wrong.Today, Otis still experiences some difficulties due to his injury, but the smile never has left his face. He loves to swim and run with his brother Filson. Otis and Filson both have been a godsend to me. I don’t know what I would do without them. They show me unconditional love, and I show them unconditional love in return.

Otis has an infectious personality. When he runs and is playing he truly does smile… He loves playing frisbee and is very affectionate. The picture of him in the water is from a couple years ago, when he hadn’t gotten quite as white on his muzzle. He loves being around people and dogs … of all kinds. Also, he is a bed hog. I have a king size bed and with him and Filson on it there is barely enough room for me. Gotta love him!

Four Thieves Vinegar

Four Thieves Vinegar

2 quarts of vinegar
2 tablespoons each:

  • lavender
  • rosemary
  • sage
  • rue
  • mint
  • wormwood
  • garlic

Soak and shake all of the herbs for two weeks and strain.

Legend has it that during the bubonic plague four thieves were caught stealing from houses where everyone had died from the plague. When the judge asked them how they were able to do this without contracting the plague, they claimed they drank and washed with this vinegar every few hours. In return for the recipe, the thieves got their freedom.

Take some 4 Thieves Vinegar and put it in a small bottle. Write the name of the person you want out of your life on a piece of paper and put it in the bottle with the vinegar. Seal the bottle tight and then throw the bottle into “moving” water (river or??) where it will be carried away from you.

As you throw it in the water, visualize the person moving out of your life and far away from you.

Dog-Gone Doggie of the Day for March 26th

Bebe, the Dog of the Day
Name: Bebe
Age: Three years old
Gender: Female Breed: Border collie mix
Home: Florida, USA
This is my dog Bebe, and she was originally my boyfriends grandmas dog. She is a Border collie mix. A funny part of this story is her name is Bebe. We found a lump on her ear, so we took her to the vet and he said it was a bb. Then he asked Is that why you named her that? How ironic. We had no idea that was there when we named her.She will be four in September and is a very sweet thing. When we come home she jumps on us and puts her paws around our necks and gives us a hug. One of her favorite thing is when the ice cream truck comes around she goes crazy and wants her frosty paws. We are lucky the ice cream truck carries it! Well … she deserves it anyhow. We love her very much.

To curse a person

To curse a person

Ingredients:

A candle from a funeral Coal dust Salt

70 pins

Buy the coal dust and salt at three different stores. Mix equal quantities in a plate.

Set up the candle so that it burns upside down on the plate, on top of the mixture.

At midnight, strip yourself nude and light the candle. As it burns, let out all the hatred you feel towards the person you want to curse. Stick the pins in the candle as if it were the flesh of your enemy. With each pin, shout out that you wish the death and destruction of the hated person.

After the candle has burnt down, leave the plate at your enemy’s doorstep.

SEASHELL ATTRACTION SPELL

SEASHELL ATTRACTION SPELL

Light an orange candle, then take a small seashell and pass it three times through the flame.

As you do this, say:

“By the power of three, So make it be.”

each time you go through the flame. Take a handful of cinnamon and using a spoon and bowl,

mix it with dried and crushed red rose petals. Sprinkle the shell with some of the mixture and

imagine yourself attracting many different people. Take the rest of the mixture and toss it into

the wind to carry your request to the God and Goddess. Then carry the shell with you in a

pocket or purse at all times.

A Book Binding Ritual

In natural magic, knots and binding are ruled by the element of Earth.    A
knot or binding represent both intangible goals (such as the return of
loaned property) and they also absorb personal power.  This ritual isn’t
intended to force or coerce another to return the book, it affects the book,
not the person the book is being loaned to.

Take the book, and hold it between your palms, sending personal energy into
it.

By hill and wind,
By flame and brook,
By shining moon and sea;
I place a bind
Upon this book
That it will return to me.
Wrap one foot of plain white cotton string around the book, securing it with
a knot.  Make sure the knot is tight, but not so tight that you cannot slip
the string from the book.  As you make the knot, visualize the book
returning to you, again chanting:

By hill and wind,
By flame and brook,
By shining moon and sea;
I place a bind
Upon this book
That it will return to me.

Slip off the knotted cord, and put it in a secret place or spell box.  As
you actually loan the book, again repeat the chant (silently) while
visualizing its return.  Once the book has been returned, untie the cord.
It is done.

And we can’t forget the Precious Pup of the Day for March 22!

Lacy, the Dog of the Day
Name: Lacy
Age: Three and half months old
Gender: Female Breed: Dog
Home: Houston, Texas, USA
This is Lacy! I adopted her from the Houston SPCA when she was just two months old! I knew she was mine within five minutes of arriving there. She came from an overcrowded home and she loves having my apartment all to herself! Lacy enjoys long walks along the Houston bayou, visits to the dog park, hanging out of my car window, sleeping after visits to the dog park, sitting in buckets of water, chewing bones, getting treats and learning to roll over! She is extremely smart and knows it too! She likes to ignore me when we are training as if to say “Mom seriously? We have done this already!”

She enjoys sleeping in odd spots in the house like under chairs and at the top of the couch. Lacy has lots of energy and is a very independent puppy. Though when she wants to she follows me from room to room in my apartment. She loves to cuddle and sleep at my feet each night as well as let me know when I need to stop doing homework by laying on it. She is a sweet heart in every way and she is my best friend, though she gets into her fair share of messes. Her next trick we are working on is “play dead”. Wish her luck!

Special Kitty of the Day for March 22

Autumn, the Cat of the Day
Name: Autumn
Age: Five years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Tortoiseshell
Home: New Jersey, USA
Ihad lost my previous cat after sixteen years and she was actually the Cat of the Day on Oct. 5, 1998, her name wasMisty. I was so heartbroken and devastated that I wanted to adopt another kitty, it was just too lonely for me.

I went to a shelter and saw Autumn and fell in love with her, always wanted a Tortie. She was almost three years old at the time. I looked at the other kitties but my mind was still on Autumn so she came home with me a few days later. The hurt of losing Misty is still with me but having Autumn has helped mend my broken heart. This is what makes her special, she helped me give love to another kitty.

Autumn was not an easy cat to get close too. She was very shy and very afraid of everything. I could not even walk towards her without her running and hiding. She has been with me for three years now and still runs from me at times, she doesn’t trust anyone. She will sit on my lap and watch TV with me and she loves to play with the feather wand.

The worst thing is I cannot get her into the carrier when going to the vet. I have had to cancel many appointments because of this. She is a very tough kitty, but I love her very much.

Daily Motivator for March 21 – Now that you know

Now that you know

Don’t curse the problem. Be thankful that you’ve become aware of it.

Now that you know it’s a problem, you can act to successfully deal with it. Now that you know it’s a problem, you have a well-defined way to make progress.

Now that you know, it is no longer a problem. It is a chance for you to make a difference, and to create meaningful value in doing so.

The sooner you know there’s a problem, the sooner you can do something about it. The sooner you start taking action, the more effective you’ll be.

When there’s a problem, there’s nothing to fear. Rather, there’s good and useful work to be done.

Is there a problem? Then step forward and take hold of the opportunity.
