Thank The Gods & Goddesses It’s Friday! What A Week!

Like I mentioned aboved, “TGIF, TGIF TGIF!” I hope you are having a fantastic Friday!!!! I am so sorry for being rude.  I started hollering before I ever asked you, my dear friends, how you were doing? Well not hollering, more like bitchin’, lol! It has been a hell of a week. I won’t go into it now because I am late. But I am not late by my own doing for a change. Our wonderful cable company has had our internet down all morning. Remember those nit-wit of contractors that I told you about. The ones laying the fiber optic cable, yeah that bunch. Anyway, the contractors had cut up all the cables and lines so bad, that the companies are going to have to lay new ones. So we were without cable today. Next week sometime, we will be without lights, then water and finally the phone. I just don’t understand this bunch of contractors. I don’t know if this was their first job or they were just playing at being contractors. Whatever the case, they screw the Western end of Kentucky UP!

Well I thought I would give you the low down. I am off to get busy. I hope you have a super fantastic day. There is just a few more hours and the weekend will be here. So hang in there, lol!

Have a great one,

Luv & Hugs,

Lady A

Today’s I Ching Hexagram for Sept. 12 is 57: Gentle Penetration

57: Gentle Penetration

Hexagram 57

General Meaning:  The general situation here points to subtle penetration. Reeds bend softly in the wind, symbolizing flexibility and endurance, symbolizing quiet, relaxed effectiveness in action. A gentle influence is at work, but just as the wind is ceaseless in its efforts, so too small forces can persist to produce lasting results.

Gentle penetration bodes well for new relationships of all kinds. Just as a summer breeze slowly penetrates the woods to cool the forest, the brilliant ideas of gifted leaders or the sincere feelings of warm-hearted lovers slowly penetrate the minds and hearts of others. In personal relationships, a gentle beginning is often linked to a long-lasting union.

When employing a force that is weak but persistent, careful aim is necessary, for only when a small force continually moves in the same direction can it have much effect. In human affairs, this kind of influence comes more through strength of character than by direct confrontation or seduction. It’s important to have, and stick to, clearly defined goals. Maintaining a strong vision and following a steady course of least resistance often brings good fortune.

A Little Humor – “Tools”

I absolutely love this joke. I read it and started laughing out loud. My husband wanted to know what was so funny. I read him the joke and he sayd, “Sounds like us, that for sure, lol!”

Tools

You need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape.

If it doesn’t  move and it should, use WD-40.

If it moves and shouldn’t, use the duct  tape.

Daily Motivator for Sept. 8 – Delight in the beauty

Delight in the beauty

It is the experience of beauty that makes it beauty. Make life more beautiful  by appreciating how beautiful and precious it is.

Life is so much more than just a set of possessions and transactions. It is a  wholeness of experience and being that can never be fully distilled into words  or images.

Feel the wondrous aliveness of which you’re a vital part. Allow the beauty  that surrounds you to reach into the deepest part of you.

Give your awareness and your energy to what’s truly important. Let life see  and experience itself in the best possible light from your unique perspective.

This very moment is your opportunity to live with richness and meaning.  Breathe in the beauty and fulfill the positive possibilities that this golden  moment brings.

Delight in all the beauty. Let it fill you, making it even richer and more  abundant.

The Daily Motivator

Daily OM for Sept. 8 – Tearing Down To Rebuild

Tearing Down To Rebuild

Rethinking Complaining

We all know someone who has elevated the process of complaining to a high art. Sometimes funny, sometimes exhausting, these people have the ability to find a problem just about anywhere. In its more evolved form, complaining is simply the ability to see what’s not working, in one’s own life or in the external world, and it can be quite useful if followed to its natural conclusion—finding a solution and applying it. However, many of us don’t get that far, and we find that complaining has become an end in itself. In small doses, this is not a big problem, but if complaining has become a huge part of our identities, it may be time to take a good look at how we are spending our energy.

Complaining is a person’s way of acknowledging that they are not happy with the way things are. In a metaphorical way, when we complain or criticize, we are tearing down an undesirable structure in order to make room for something new. But if all we do is tear down, never bothering to summon the creative energy required to create something new, we are not fulfilling the process. In fact, we are at risk for becoming a stagnant and destructive force in our own lives and in the lives of the people we love. Another issue with complaining is that we sometimes tend to focus on other people, whom we can’t change, as a way of deflecting attention from the one person we can change—ourselves. So transforming complaining into something useful is a twofold process that begins with turning our critical eye to look at things we can actually do something about, and then taking positive action.

When we find ourselves complaining, the last thing we need to do is get down on ourselves. Instead, we can begin by noticing that we are in the mode of wanting to make some changes. But rather than lashing out at somebody or an organization, we can look for an appropriate place to channel this energy—not our neighbor’s house, but possibly parts of our own. Finally, we can ask ourselves the positive question of what we would like to create in the place of whatever it is we want to tear down. When we do this, we channel a negative habit into a creative process, thus using our energy to change the world around us in a positive way.

Today’s I Ching Hexagram for September 8 is 6: Conflict

6: Conflict

Hexagram 6

General Meaning:   Conflict arises when a person is convinced that he or she is entitled to something and then meets with opposition. In such cases, the wiser choice is not to push things to the bitter end, because knocking heads only perpetuates bad will. Creative solutions that meet others halfway are more valuable and longer lasting than victories achieved through force.

Conflicts in which one party is not sincere inevitably lead to subterfuge and distortions. In such situations, those of strong character keep a clear head, protect their own integrity and look out for their own interests, even while seeking compromise. Often this means finding a fair-minded mediator who can help settle matters.

In such times of conflict and turmoil, new ventures and new initiatives are to be avoided.

This is a good time to examine the sincerity of your own motives and those around you. Seek advice or arbitration from an impartial and mature advisor. Consider everything carefully before making any major decisions. It may be time to compromise. And try to clarify roles and responsibilities going forward, so as to avoid conflict in the future

Lighten Up With A Little Humor – “But First” Syndrome

“BUT FIRST” Syndrome

“I call it “But First” Syndrome. You know. It’s when you decide to do the laundry. So you start down the stairs with the laundry, but then see the newspapers on the table. OK, you’ll do the laundry.

BUT FIRST you decide to put the newspapers away. So on your way in to put the newspapers away, you notice the mail on the table. OK, you’ll put the newspapers away.

BUT FIRST you’ll pay that bill that needs to be paid. So you look for the checkbook. Oops…there’s the empty glass from yesterday on the coffee table. OK, you’ll pay the bill.

BUT FIRST you need to put the glass in the sink. You head for the kitchen. Darn it, there’s the remote for the TV. What’s it doing here? Okay, you’ll put the glass in the sink.

BUT FIRST you need to put the remote away. Head for the TV room. Aaagh! Stepped on the cat. Cat needs to be fed. Okay, you’ll put the remote away.

BUT FIRST you need to feed the cat… So, here’s what happens at the end of the day: Laundry is not done, newspapers are still on the floor, glass is on the table, bills are unpaid, checkbook is still lost, and the cat ate the remote control …

And, when you try to figure out how come nothing got done all day, you are baffled because …..you KNOW you were BUSY ALL DAY!!

That’s the “BUT FIRST” Syndrome.”

Today’s I Ching Hexagram for Sept. 5 is 40: Deliverance

40: Deliverance

Hexagram 40

General Meaning:  After a thunderstorm, or any period of extreme tension, a period of new clarity and fresh opportunity follows. The storm has the effect of clearing the air and suddenly reducing atmospheric tension. Deliverance is at hand. In the wake of a storm on land, deliverance appears in the form of new color and life, which bursts forth in all the fields and flowers. In the wake of a storm at sea, deliverance takes the form of land itself.

In the field of human relations, the rain of forgiveness washes the human landscape clean after a period of conflict and enmity. Great clarity of purpose and renewed vigor can follow the healing of old wounds. But care must be taken not to re-open such wounds by moving too quickly. In the same way, it is important to return to normalcy before moving ahead with new plans after periods of stress.

Following the resolution of a difficult situation, your first priority, should be to return to normal conditions as quickly as possible. Breathe a sigh of relief, but don’t relax completely. It would be a mistake to re-awaken the sleeping dogs of the immediate past before the new situation has crystallized. Look ahead. Attend to any residual matters that need resolution, and do so as quickly as possible. Make a clean sweep of the past, move deliberately and the future will bring good fortune.

A Quick Note…..

In case you are wondering what is taking me so long, I have rheumatoid arthritis in my hands. We were never able to get the A/C fixed in here. Thus the hot weather plays a number on my hands. It has been in the 0-‘x with heat indexes in the triple digits. My poor, old hands can only take so much. I have heard several comments from my friends around here. But if you don’t keep moving, you will be so stiff that your fingers will never move.

Well I wanted to let you know why I was moving so slow today. Hopefully, we will get the A/C fixed, the swelling in my knuckles will go down and everything will be lovely! I can always hope, lol!

Off to do some more…………..

I Must Apologize for Yesterday, my dear friends!

I cannot begin to apologize enough for yesterday, dear friends. I am so, so sorry. Even though it was not my fault, I am still sorry. Do you remember me telling you about the construction crew that was laying down the fiber optic wire? That screwy bunch tore up everything. After they fixed everything and we thought things were back to normal. There was a second crew to the bunch that showed up, OH, BROTHER! This bunch was worse than the first. They had to come up to the house and work on the pole that bring the lights, cable & phone into the building. No one told us they were coming. I heard beating and pounding. I looked out the window and there were two numb-skulls beating on our power pole. I asked them what they were doing. They told me they had to fix the fiber optic hook-up to the house. Secretly to myself, I said, “oh, shit!” And I was right. They went so far as to knock our little metal pole down. The pole is about four foot tall and they beat it till it was laying flat on the ground. We were without power, cable and phone all day. Well I will take that back, we had power, cable and phone for about thirty minutes. Then it when out for the rest of the day. I was so mad, I couldn’t see straight. So we ended up leaving because all the crews from the lights and cable had to come out and fix everything. One of the foremen told me, they would be so glad when this bunch of contractors left the area. I told him, “me and you both!”

As you can tell, I played with some graphics I had saved on my computer. That was what I was going to do yesterday. But I got everything done, real quick this morning. Now, I am ready to get back to business. Ooops! I need to look out the window and make sure the coast is clear, lol! It is, so let’s get on with the show………….

Again, I am sorry about yesterday,

Have a Very Blessed Day, dear friends!

Luv & Hugs,

Lady A

Your Charm for August 31 is The Hand

Your Charm for Today

Today’s Meaning:

The hand indicates you will need to extend effort to protect this aspect from outside influences. The devices attached indicate you will need tools to be successful in your protection.

General Description:

The use of a representation of the Hand as a talisman can be traced back to at least 800 years B.C., when it was used as a charm against enchantment. Many varieties of the Hand exist; in some the elaboration is very marked, each devise represents some particular charm. Life size models of these Hands were supposed to guard the house against all the influences of magic and evil, and smaller replicas protected their wearers from every description of harm. The extended thumb and first two fingers, the third and fourth fingers closed, is the position still assumed during the benediction in some Christian Churches of today.

Today’s I Ching Hexagram for August 30 is 31: Mutual Attraction

31: Mutual Attraction

Hexagram 31

General Meaning:  The attraction of yin and yang is the powerful and fundamental force. The image of this hexagram is that of the attraction between a man and a woman in the courtship stage. In response to the magnetic attraction between them, the masculine principle (the creative, outgoing) seizes the initiative and submits to the feminine (the receptive, sensitive). When the assertive is able to defer to the receptive, and when the receptive accepts responsibility and exercises quiet leadership, an exciting and profitable union is the result. This brings good fortune, for all success depends upon the magnetic effect of mutual attraction.

Consistency is important in matters of mutual attraction, for this is what separates courtship from seduction.

If you are by nature an instigator, it is good to take the initiative. But you need to remain sensitive, and highly principled, and avoid the temptation to be manipulative. Let the power of mutual attraction pull you along. If you are the receptive one, keep your mind innocent and free of pride, so that you may remain open to good advice or helpful assistance. When your influence arises from innocence, an even more powerful magnetic force is at work for you.

Remaining open to the forces of attraction brings good fortune. Closing yourself to them heralds the dying of the soul. Learn to yield to the natural tugs and pulls of the heart.

Today’s I Ching Hexagram for August 29 is 56: The Wanderer

56: The Wanderer

Hexagram 56

General Meaning:  A seasoned traveler knows that a special kind of decorum is called for when one ventures far from home. He or she must develop a yielding nature outwardly, so that the ‘local contact’ or host can open doors and prevent unseemly errors. But inwardly, the wanderer knows that it is sometimes impossible to discern the true intentions of strangers — are they hostile, friendly or merely opportunistic?

The twin houses of mystery and discovery rule any journey. Each new day is launched on a fresh landscape, one that reaches out to grab our full attention. Though new adventures are a great teacher — and often a great equalizer — there is an art to living lightly in a strange land. Mindfulness and discernment become the keys not only to success, but also to survival.

If you are entering a new environment of any sort attempt to be sincere, flexible and undemanding, rather than obstinate. Let go of old attitudes and habits that could encumber you, or make you overly conspicuous. The onset of a great journey is not a favorable time to enter into binding agreements, or to start new enterprises.
