Hearing the Whisper

There is beauty and power when we listen to the whisper.

You may have noticed that if you want to speak to someone in a noisy, crowded room, the best thing to do is lean close and whisper. Yelling in an attempt to be louder than the room’s noise generally only hurts your throat and adds to the chaos. Similarly, that still, small voice within each of us does not try to compete with the mental chatter on the surface of our minds, nor does it attempt to overpower the volume of the raucous world outside. If we want to hear it, no matter what is going on around us or even inside us, we can always tune in to that soft voice underneath the surrounding noise.

It is generally true that the more insistent voices in our heads delivering messages that make us feel panicky or afraid are of questionable authority. They may be voices we internalized from childhood or from the culture, and as such they possess only half-truths. Their urgency stems from their disconnectedness from the center of our being, and their urgency is what catches our attention. The other voice that whispers reassurances that everything is fundamentally okay simply delivers its message with quiet confidence. Once we hear it, we know it speaks the truth. Generally, once we have heard what it has to say, a powerful sense of calm settles over our entire being, and the other voices and sounds, once so dominant, fade into the background, suddenly seeming small and far away.

We may find that our own communications in the world begin to be influenced by the quiet certainty of this voice. We may be less inclined to indulge in idle chatter as we become more interested in maintaining our connection to the whisper of truth that broadcasts its message like the sound of the wind shaking the leaves of a tree. As we align ourselves more with this quiet confidence, we become an extension of the whisper, penetrating the noise of the world and creating more peace, trust, and confidence.

On the day of the Sun whilst the Moon is waxing 1st day of the 1st
quarter,in the Season of Spring to Summers time. Take a virgin green cat
candle,anoint it with.

3 drops Bayberry
1 drop Cinnamon
2 drops Spanish Moss

Then, set it on a plate/holder container sit for a few minutes ‘seeing’
the event and knowing that a certain amount will come to you. call out 3
times over the Cat Candle while burning some incense of your choosing.

“Money Thrice by the Winds do come,
I draw it forth by Moon and Sun,
By Earth it Trickles to my Stead,
By Fire it Quickens and Rushes ahead,
Waves of Prosperity,Flow to me know,
Unto the Spell,Come Ye Anow!”

(State how much is needed)

Then light the Cat Candle from a flame other than a match,still
concentrating on the need to be made manifest. After 7 minutes extinguish
the Candle,do not blow out the Candle,and say…

“Bond and I to the Spell and Sea,
Bond am I to Magick and Fire,
Tis the Earth and the Lady and Lord,
That brings forth my Desire.’

Perform this Spell at the same time every day,all the way to the Full Moon
upon which to let the rest of the Candle burn all the Way down. Once done
bury the excess wax near the North root of an Old Oak tree,and also pour a
drink-offering to Lady and Lord for their help. Never speak of the Spell, it
should manifest within another 28 days.

I always address Deity by certain names,such as Brid,Freya,Othinn,Thor, as
an example. If you are uncertain whom to ask for aid,simply just say Lady
and Lord.

The destructive hand is one that never finds a friendly hand to shake. Its finger is always pointed at someone in an accusation. It is shaking in someone’s face in a threat. The destructive hand is forever lifted against anyone who differs, ready to strike in disagreement, always lifted for attention to let them tell the wrong someone has done.

The destructive hand tries desperately to hold another’s good luck back…..ready to sign a complaint…..forever in a gesture of disdain.

But pity the destructive hand. It will never know the tenderness of love nor find the clasp of friendship. It will never feel the sun warm on its palm while it lifts someone….or guide another to happier things…..or wave or cheer or praise and give thanks.

The destructive hand is the negative approach to all of life. It can never do anything but discourage and frighten. The positive approach to life is found in every gesture of the productive hand; it builds unbreakable structures, unbroken peace, and joy to soothe the most savage heart.

Many weak excuses come to mind to give us a right to self-pity – we don’t feel well, we haven’t slept in a week, or we simply don’t know what others expect of us. All these things can be true and all have a devastating effect, but we could have said we are in the midst of a pity celebration. Mind games tell us we need an excuse to keep from being overwhelmed with obligations. We don’t need any excuse to say we are simply not up to the challenges at this time. If people want to be offended it is their privilege, but right now self honesty and rest are more important.

This technique is similar to that used when you prepare your sacred space for magical working and employs the four Elements as a basis. Brass, was, and is, considered to be a conductor of subtle energies.

Items You Will Need:

  • White candle
  • Brass candlestick
  • Bowl filled with water
  • Sea salt in suitable container
  • Wand

The Spell:

  • Place the candle in the candlestick and light it.
  •   Dip your hands in the water then, without drying them, in the salt. Rub your hands together lightly until they feel slightly warm.
  •   Pick up your wand in your most powerful hand and touch the tip lightly to the brass candlestick. Then place the tip of the wand in your other hand, thus completing a circuit.
  •   Sit quietly and contemplate the candle, allowing energies to flow through you until such times as you either feel a change in energy within yourself or sense that you have no further need to continue. You may then use the energy that you have generated to meditate, heal or care for others

Your ego won’t make you stronger or more skilled or more capable or more  knowledgeable. Mostly, your ego will just get in the way of your true essence.

So choose to tap into your authentic power by choosing to let go of the  concerns of your ego. Step purposefully beyond those superficial concerns and  step up to a dramatically higher level of effectiveness.

Let go of your ego, and many of your fears and anxieties dissolve. Let go of  your ego, and the positive possibilities become more numerous, more powerful and  more accessible.

Without ego constantly dragging you down, you can focus on what truly  matters. You’ll find that one of the most powerful things you can do for  yourself is to get past your concerns for yourself.

Let go of your small ego and see life’s big, wonderful, valuable picture. Let  go of your ego, and let your true beauty and goodness soar.

We know without being told when we have acted unkindly or behaved unjustly toward another. Intolerance, whether it is personal superiority or religious bigotry, serves only to isolate us from the greatest joy in life – the sharing of ideals and happiness and friendship.

We must be patient and fair toward anyone whose opinions differ from our own. There is a much better chance of convincing those whom we hope to influence by being an example rather than a voice.

It is much easier to be led than to be pushed and not so hard to be tolerant when we recognize within ourselves the reasons we are not always tolerant.

It sometimes becomes habitual to be dissatisfied with everything we see others do. We don’t take time to understand and know the basis for their actions. We often fall short of listening to them long enough to understand, and their next words or actions may explain it.

We cannot afford to be intolerant, because no matter how good our ideas are, there is always a better one.

Guilt imagines that every eye and every mind judges. But guilt can be false – a thing of the conscience that becomes so real it rules our common sense. We are aware that all guilt is not false – but for most people the fear of someone thinking we are guilty is reason enough. What we do not realize is that it is our own thinking, our own emotion and fear that keep us weaving and dodging. A person trying to lose a few pounds feels guilty if someone see him eating. A prudent spender feels the weight of spending a dollar – and so goes the guilt which is not guilt at all but fear. From one fear comes a thousand things to get rid of – and false guilt should be the first.

One of the most well-known and widespread Pagan God images is the Green Man, also known as Jack-in-the-Green or The Man in the Oak. Let’s talk about ways to bring the spirit of Green Man into your life to help enhance growth, prosperity and abundance.

Deep down, I think humans understand that our personal abundance and prosperity depends on the fruitfulness of the earth. Even these days when we’ve covered half the earth with concrete, this truth still holds true. That must be why the foliate Green Man has been so prevalent through time as an ornament and even was carried over into church décor in medieval churches — because deep down, we know we need him, no matter what.

Green Man is a generous spirit. When working with him, showing generosity of your own will get his attention and bring his spirit into your life. Obviously, Green Man also is more likely to be joyous to share energy with people who care for the environment; he’s about growth, renewal and life. If you’re going to be working magick with Green Man, don’t be chucking your fast-food trash out your car window. Anything that you can do for the environment — even something small — will help to show the spirit of Green Man that you’re genuine and will help get your energies aligned with the energies of the green earth. Get a stainless steel water bottle to replaced your bottled water. How about offering your favorite tree some fertilizer? Respect for all living things is another great way to connect with this leafy spirit — catch a spider and release it outside instead of squashing it.

While at the garden center, if you see a potted plant knocked over, pick it up and scoop the soil back into the pot. Try donating your old clothese instead of throwing them away. You get the idea Generosity toward others and the environment are the kinds of things that Green Man smiles upon.

Now you are working in alignment with Green Man energy, and you’re ready to start working with him magickally to bring prosperity, abundance, and renewal into your life.
