Can’t Do Tomorrow’s Posts Today

Until it gets below 85⁰F in my small office area I can’t work. When I left my office space around 12:30 PM CDT it was overly warm. After quickly taking our fur kids out and feeding them I had to do some work in the kitchen that couldn’t wait until tomorrow when it should be about 30⁰F cooler. I sat down to begin doing WOTC work and started getting very sweaty and a headache. At this point I’ve already drank ½ gallon of water after my ½ bottle of raspberry ice tea (it’s my caffeine for the entire day) so I thought I was well hydrated. I looked at the small thermometer on my desk which read 95⁰F in my little office area. Guess what? That’s way to hot to be sitting with a computer tower trying to run. I’m sorry but I am done for today. The heat index is not supposed to go below 100⁰F until 10 PM or so tonight!

Some Tips to Help Animals Through The Heat

I have been working with dogs for 41 years and other animals for about 14 years after I earned my veterinary assistant certificate. The heat effects animals of all kinds even those in the water like fish. While we cannot do much for our wild animal friends or fish in lakes or other water ways or reptiles we can for domestic pets and companions.

If you do not have air conditioning or even a little window one the heat will affect all those in your home, then homes that do have them. It is just as important if not more so for them to have fresh cold water to drink as neither cats nor dogs have sweat glands anywhere but on their tongues. I make ice cubes with thinning down leftover meat of any kind juices. Whatever amount I have left over after a meal I add just as much plain water to it than pour that into ice cube trays. After they have frozen, I take them out of the trays and place them in a plastic bag that closes tightly or an airtight container and put it in the freezer. No matter what time of the year it is if one of our fur kids is not drinking enough I either give them a couple of ice cubes too much on or melt a few cubes into a small bowl of water. As for their plain water I change it about every hour and add regular ice cubes to it so they can cool down. If you sprinkle 1/8 of a teaspoon of salt per 10 pounds of weight on your companions’ snacks or food in the morning and evening this will help to get them to drink some more also. My Cleo and Star, both small dogs, will lick the salt off my hand and then immediately go for a long drink of water. Have a fan on the floor pointing towards your companion’s favorite place to lay to help keep them cool.

For the domestic animals that are always outside like cows or horses or goats or sheep or chickens or whatever make sure they have enough shade to be in and that however you provide them with water that it is full and in proper working order. Please check on them as often as you can every day in the extremely hot or cold weather.

Good Day WOTC Family and Friends! iT IS A mURPHY’S laW daY FOR me

UGH… I can’t even type right this morning.

Anywho…I will be getting the regular posts up, but they may not follow the normal sequence of posting because as temperatures soar into triple digits today, I got an email stating that, we will have more rolling brown outs. For those not familiar with what a rolling brown out is let me try to explain. When a lot of extra electricity is being used for say fans and air conditioners the electric company cuts power down in one area and puts it back up only to less it somewhere else. The reason they do this is so the entire City of Ottawa, IL or whatever city or town or village does not overload the power grid and everyone electrical power goes out and stays out until the company can fix transformers and other important stuff.

Yesterday when I came back to finish doing posts it was a yucky time. My computer was going soooo slooow the post was time out meaning I got a message asking if I wanted to wait or reload the page and try again, well words to the effect LOL. After trying to get up just one post for 20 minutes I gave up because I was so dan frustrated that all the post if they went up would be filled with my negative energy and I rather keep you from feeling it. These are times I wish our landlord would have solar power for our home then we’d be off the grid and my computer wouldn’t be finicky.

Well here goes today’s attempts to get posts done. Wish me luck and patience.

Stay safe and cool. Drink extra good for hydration fluids! Check on elder friends, family, and neighbors. If your area has one use a cool station if it is too hot in your home.

Blessings of good health from WOTC to you and yours during this heat wave and always.

Good Day WOTC Family and Friends! along with a PSA

Thanks to rolling brown outs and allergies I didn’t make it back to my computer yesterday to get today’s posts up. As Big Dawg and I have to go deliver court papers this morning before it gets too hot, I am unsure when today’s posts will be finished. All I know is I plan to do them when I get home.

For those with heat index warning please heed them, drink extra water or sports drinks or even vitamin water to stay hydrated if you have to be outside. Stay away from any kind of tea as it will make you urinate more which can dehydrate you quicker. Also, the sugars, real or artificial, in soda hardly do anything to help your hydration level same with coffee and other caffeinated beverages. This biggest dehydrator in these types of temperatures in alcohol in any form including beer.

I apologize for not getting this PSA up when the southern USA was going through their heat wave earlier this month. From the news up here in the Midwest it sounds like y’all are still in recorded breaking high temperatures. I know places all over our beautiful Mother Earth are suffering this year with above average temps thanks to an El Nino.

Stay cool as possible, drink extra water and/or sports drinks, and check on your neighbors who maybe elderly or have young children to make sure everything is ok and they have enough to drink.

Queen of Fire – Minor Arcana Court Card

I. The Explanation of Queen of Fire Osho Zen Tarot

The Queen of Fire Osho Zen is so rich, so much a queen, that she can afford to give. She did not even have the concept of stockpiling or storing it for later use. She dispersed wealth immeasurably, welcoming everyone to share the wealth, fertility, and light that surrounded her.

If you draw this card, you are also able to share your love, joy, and laughter. And while sharing, you find yourself becoming fuller. There is no need to go anywhere or to make any special effort. You find yourself able to enjoy sensual pleasures without possessiveness or attachment, being able to have children or creating new projects with a sense of balance and creativity. Everything around you seems to be “connected”. Enjoy it, bury yourself in it, and let wealth flow in you and around you.

II. The Energy of Queen of Fire Osho Zen Tarot Based on Osho’s Teachings

As you move above to the fourth center – that is the heart – your whole life becomes a sharing of love. The third center has created the abundance of love. By reaching to the third center in meditation, you have become so overflowing with love, with compassion, and you want to share. It happens at the fourth center, the heart. That’s why even in the ordinary world people think love comes out of the heart. For them it is just hearsay, they have heard it; they don’t know it because they have never reached to their heart.

But the meditator finally reaches to the heart. As he has reached to the center of his being – the third center – suddenly an explosion of love and compassion and joy and blissfulness and benediction has arisen in him with such a force that it hits his heart and opens the heart. The heart is just in the middle of all your seven centers – three centers below, three centers above. You have come exactly to the middle.

Saille or Sail

Pronunciation – Sahl-yuh

Tree Association – willow

Meaning – Balance, intuition, closely connected to the moon’s cycles, perfect timing (astrologically), sentimental feelings, the flow of water, and tides. Willow trees (often found near water) and the moon are closely linked due to their connection with water. Saille is also associated with divination and intuition. Keeping your connection to your Self open and healthy is an empowering trait and very valued.

If reversed – You’re feeling defeated, distracted, or lost. Use your knowledge and intuition to guide yourself back to alignment.

Inscription and Magical Uses – Wonderful for Moon Water, moon magic, cyclical intentions, or working with the element water. Allow the flexibility of the willow tree to influence your spiritual life. Let yourself be a bit more fluid; keep yourself and intuition open.

Hexagram Eighteen/18

Ku / Repairing the Damage

Winds sweep through the Mountain valley:
The Superior Person sweeps away corruption and stagnation by stirring up the people and strengthening their spirit.

Supreme success.
Before crossing to the far shore, consider the move for three days.
After crossing, devote three days of hard labor to damage control.

SITUATION ANALYSIS:

You are blessed with an opportunity to resuscitate that which others have abandoned as beyond repair.
This ruin wasn’t caused by evil intention, but by indifference to decay.
Just by addressing yourself to the problem, you exhibit a new awareness, a fresh perspective.
This is a time of recovery, renewal, regeneration.

Numerology

From numerscope.com

Eight

Eight, as one of the core numerological numbers, is an indication of a dominant element, practicality, materialism and everlasting self-confidence. You are born to be a winner. Life is a battlefield for you, and all life’s benefits are the trophies. It does not matter if it is your battlefield or not, and which team takes the lead. You have the intention, and you have the goal. So the opportunity to achieve it will occur as well. You will provide it yourself, by any means. Therefore, those who try to resist your actions run the risk of breaking their necks.

Positive qualities

The positive qualities of the Eight are perseverance, courage and a great business instinct. People of your type control everything that happens in our world. No task is impossible for you, no obstacle invincible. You clearly see every next step both on your path and on the path of progress. Therefore, you know exactly what and when you should do.

You are reliable and impartial. You act tough, but always fair. If you take someone under your wing, this lucky person can consider their life to be well-off, and protection from any problems is guaranteed.

Negative qualities

The most obvious negative qualities of the Eight are arrogance, haughtiness and their habit of putting a slight upon the people who are in a dependent position. Well, there is also a couple of canonical vices like wrath and pride.

All these are the indispensable features of your business life, so they do not cause misunderstanding among colleagues and subordinates. In everyday life, however, such manifestations spoil your image adding some rough and unpleasant features to it. Learning to control yourself, so as not to abuse the family’s angelic patience, would be useful.

You can ask the Greek Goddess Aphrodite for help in this spell as She rules over self-acceptance and physical beauty. I think She’s the perfect Deity to help you with your spell to lose weight.

  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • A length of blue ribbon
  • Piece of dried apple
  • Vanilla oil (or pure extract)

Lay out your supplies and hold your hands over everything. Ask Aphrodite for Her help with these words:

I ask you Aphrodite to bless this ritual

To bring me beauty, strength and love of myself

Help me shed my extra pounds

To be slim as well as healthy and true.

Bundle everything together and wrap ribbon around the charm, leaving enough to let it hang from. Dab a little vanilla oil on it and you’re done.

Now put it somewhere that you’re likely to see it in the kitchen but not out in the open. In a cabinet or in the fridge, hanging by the ribbon (don’t just set it on the shelf). Remember your dedication to lose weight every time you see the charm. Every night before you go to bed, say a little prayer to Aphrodite for resolve the next day.

Good Day WOTC Family and Friends!

The start of another work week for some and the end for others. Enjoy Monday it doesn’t have to live up to the stereotype of a bad day. It can be whatever type of day you want it to be good or bad or indifferent.

Mine is going to be a fantastic day – the Sun is shining; Big Dawg and I only have four people to try to serve legal papers to and then the rest of the day will be ours to spend with our fur kids. Only drawback today is grass and corn pollen are very high where we live so unless I want to be down from my allergies again, I can’t take a very long walk in the woods and definitely cannot work in the yard 😣.

I was down all Saturday afternoon and evening, slept 11 hours, which was a good thing for my fibromyalgia to go out of the super flare I was in from lack of sleep, and felt miserable all day. Found out I was allergic to corn pollen as places we had to drive through miles and miles of corn fields left me with an asthma attack. But now that I know about this, I wear a mask or turn on the Jeep’s air conditioning for a bit as we drive through them. Within about 5 minutes in any direction, we go from home we have corn and soybean fields. Don’t get me wrong I love living in a rural area for all the wildlife and wooded areas I just don’t like the allergies that go with it. For every bad in life I always try to find the good in it also. Our physical life needs to be balanced just as our metaphysical and spiritual life needs to be.

Wishing all of you dear Sisters, Brothers, and Friends a wonderful Monday!!

All Signs

This is a great week for productivity because people are pumped and ready to work. Then, oh joy, the weekend morphs into the perfect time to socialize and enjoy romantic date nights, sports outings plus urban explorations and picnics at the beach. Summer is upon us, along with scant clothing and bathing suits. Alas – no puffer coat under which to hide! This harsh reality prompted a 180 with my food intake. No dairy. No carbs. No fruits. No herbaceous vegetables. No meat. No chicken. No fish. Every morning with shaky anticipation, I face that moment of truth. I step on those bathroom scales hoping for a magical transformation. (Surely intention counts for something?) Of course, I weigh myself before putting on moisturizer and make-up, and I empty my head of all thoughts.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

This is a productive week for those who work in the entertainment world, show business, the hospitality industry, the world of sports and anything related to children. Not only will you accomplish a lot, you will enjoy doing so. Take it easy on Monday because on that day, you have to compromise with others. For the rest of the week however, look for ways to boost your earnings. Delegate to others. Roll up your sleeves and dig in. After working hard this week, you’re ready to reward yourself with a fun-filled weekend, possibly even a mini vacation? Make plans for some fun outings because romance will dazzle. This is a particularly strong week for those of you involved in creative projects.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

This is a productive week! Since you have a strong focus on home, family and real estate, this is likely where you will put a lot of effort. You might tackle home repairs or do some serious redecorating projects. Fortunately, you have positive gusto and optimism because lucky Jupiter is in your sign, which will help you to get a lot done. Nevertheless, this is also a playful, fun-loving week for you! On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, be accommodating because the Moon is opposite your sign, which means you have to go more than halfway when dealing with others. No biggie. Interaction with a parent could be significant this week. Have fun on the weekend!

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

It’s time to put your big girl pants on and get to work. The pace will be busy this week but you will be stimulated by it. Plan on short trips, errands, appointments plus discussions with others, especially relatives and siblings. Interactions with others will be smooth and friendly – no worries! You might tackle some home repairs. Meanwhile, figure out how to cope with interruptions on the home front due to visiting guests, residential moves or DIY projects. This weekend is a wonderful time to socialize; nevertheless, because the Moon is opposite your sign – be sweet talking and accommodating. After all, your objective is to be happy and have a good time.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

A busy week! This is an excellent time for business and commerce, plus financial negotiations. In fact, you can attract money to you this week. You will be busy with appointments, short trips and errands. It’s a strong week if you are in sales, marketing, teaching, acting or writing because you will say what you mean and mean what you say. Respect your moneymaking ideas. Expect to spend money on beautiful things for yourself and loved ones. You might even make money related to the arts, antiques and beautiful objects. Socialize and enjoy the company of others this weekend. Be ready to help someone.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Timing is everything. Right now, many things are in your favour. The Sun and Venus are in your sign. Mercury is also in your sign until Friday; and until June of next year, lucky Jupiter is sitting at the top of your chart. (Like, wow.) This is a major bonus and happens only once every 12 years. Jupiter will attract work-related travel and increased dealings with other cultures and countries. It’s a time for promotions at work, public recognition and enjoying some increased respect and esteem from your peers. All these astrological aspects combine to make this a winning time for you! Knowing this, don’t waste this opportunity. Go after what you want!

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

This year and well into next year, marvellous opportunities to travel and educate yourself will expand your world. You can also explore avenues in publishing, the media, medicine and the law. This week in particular, you will be happy to work behind the scenes and keep a low profile. A secret love affair is possible. On Friday, Mercury enters your sign to join fiery Mars, which means you will be more confident to speak up and assert yourself. The pace of your days will accelerate. Midweek will be busy; however, by Friday, you might want to cocoon at home to gather your strength for an exciting, dazzling weekend!

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

This is a popular time for you because there are three planets in your House of Friendships. This means you will enjoy hanging out with friends more than usual. In particular, you might hang out with younger people as well as creative, artistic types. A platonic relationship might turn romantic? This is also an excellent time for you to think about your future goals. For example, you might seek out feedback from a friend about what you want to do in your future. Since this is also a time when you have increased involvement with clubs and organizations, perhaps a colleague will have ideas for you? It’s very easy to get the support of others now – both practical and financial.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

It’s time for you to take a bow. Once a year, for four weeks, the Sun sits at the top of your chart, and when this occurs, it symbolizes that the Sun is shining down on you and thrusting you in a spotlight. Furthermore, this spotlight is flattering, which means others – especially bosses, parents and people in authority – see you as capable, competent and super effective. (Even if you don’t do anything special.) Consider this a bonus from the heavens. But note: this is a real phenomenon that is taking place. Knowing this, you can make things happen! This means that starting this week until August 22, you can demand the advantage and go after what you want because people are impressed with you! Use this.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You’ll be happy to hear that this is the time to expand your experience of the world. Obviously, the ideal choice would be to travel somewhere, especially to travel somewhere new and exciting. If you can’t travel, you can certainly be a tourist in your own town. Go places you’ve never been before. Explore new shops, new restaurants, new neighbourhoods. Meanwhile, on Friday, Mercury moves to the top of your chart, which increases your interest in your professional life and your desire to undertake new studies that can boost your career. It’s a good time to talk to bosses, employers or anyone who can help you. Your ambition is aroused and you’re full of ideas!

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

In the next few weeks, you will have an increasing desire to be more in touch with your inner self. This might even lead to behaviour that you don’t understand. You might feel some compulsions that steer you in new directions. You definitely want to experience life on a feeling level – not just an intellectual understanding. As a result, you might encounter someone that produces a need within you for psychological self-inquiry. You might also be more concerned with finances and shared property or the wealth of your partner. You will also have a strong desire to study, learn and travel. This is important stuff.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This is the only time all year when the Sun is opposite your sign. Furthermore, both Mercury and Venus are also opposite your sign, which increases your focus on your closest relationships. You feel you’re getting to know this person better. Perhaps you have new and fresh observations? Venus will make these relationships warmer and cozier. Meanwhile, energetic Mars is in a sexy part of your chart — so many of you are getting really cozy. (Say no more.) If you are living with a partner or spouse, this influence combines beautifully with the fact that this year and well into next year, is a wonderful time for you to improve family relationships – as well as your home. Bonus!

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

This week you’re swinging into work mode. You’ve decided it’s time to roll up your sleeves and dig in. You have your own To Do list about you what you want to accomplish – and you will do it. Venus will help you to get along with coworkers, friends and colleagues who might be of assistance. This is good. Admittedly, with Mars opposite your sign, you might feel more aggressive than usual with partners and close friends. Conflict is possible. But if you channel your energy into work (whether you get paid for it or not), this will be a gratifying experience for you. You will feel a personal sense of reward as well as pleasure from seeing the results of your efforts. Even your health will get a boost!

Good Day WOTC Family and Friends!

This is me and proud of it!

I came out of the broom closet about 4 decades ago. I don’t just talk the talk of being a witch/pagan I always try to walk the walk.

Sorry for the missing days but living in a rural area it takes longer to fix things. I will get the missing birthday horoscopes up today along with some of today’s daily and tomorrow’s posts. I am also not going to have specific posting times for today like I usually do because I am playing catch up.

Good Day WOTC Family and Friends!

Even though it does not say it in the picture this is an Irish blessing I heard often from my maternal grandma in English and Gaelic. Granted it came about after Christians decided that witches and pagans were someone to torture and kill but the words in Gaelic do not translate to well so this blessing was as close as it could be.

I would like to add this to it:

May only positive energy and the blessing of the Great Mother and Great Father surround you anywhere you go every day.
