Seedy Spellwork

After carving up those pumpkins, don’t just throw the seeds away or eat them all. In each little pumpkin seed lies a large store of natural energy. Save seeds to bring magick to your life year-round. They’re great for increasing strength, promoting prosperity, encouraging health, and enhancing growth and expansion. Grind them to include in incense and magickal powders, carry one in your pock for a good luck talisman, or tie a few inside a small square of fabric to make a charm to promote peace and balance in the home. You can even use pumpkin seeds to create your own set of biodegradable runes—just use a pen and some natural ink to make the glyphs.

Witch To Witch – Goofer Dust Questions?

We have had a few questions in regards to Goofer Dust. Mainly, how do you make it and then what do you use it for.  I have attempted to answer some of these concerns below. If you have any further question, drop us a note.

Goofer Dust

Traditionally this powder is put wherever the person has to walk through it. It causes extreme discomfort and is used to drive people away. So, if you want to get your spouse out of the house, put Goofer Dust where he or she must walk through it. So you don’t get into the stuff yourself, carefully sprinkle a small amount in and around his or her shoes. Sprinkle a little under his or her pillow.

This powder can be used in other spells to rid yourself of any unwanted person. An alternative to using it the traditional way is to place some Goofer Dust in a box. Then, place a picture of your victim alone in the box and bury it.

Goofer Dust recipes vary. Here is one of my favorite:

Goofer Dust Recipe

1 part Graveyard dust (taken from the grave of a murderer at midnight)

1 part Sulphur

1 part Ashes from a fire

1 part powdered Bones (Bone Meal)

1 part powdered Snake Skin

1 part Iron filings

In short the ingredients are thing designed to poison and kill the victim by means of magick. When it is blessed and carried in a bag with you, it becomes a protective agent.

FIRE OF LUST POTION

FIRE OF LUST POTION

Items needed:

1 ounce bourbon

1 ounce vodka

3 ounces slow gin

Orange juice

1 pinch allspice

Add the first three ingredients in order to a tall glass of ice.
Fill the glass with orange juice and add a pinch of allspice. As you stir, chant:

“Fire of lust and fire of passion
Bring to me some satisfaction
Lust unbridled I desire,
Bring me now what I require”

Share the drink with the person you desire.

The following comprises a few ideas  as to what foods and seasonings may be incorporated into meals to accomplish your goals. As you expand upon this list—and you will–just one note of caution: Some herbs are poisonous! With that in mind, please check a reliable herbal before incorporating any substance with which you’re unfamiliar.

Basil:  Season foods with this herb to loosen a partner’s hold on the money and force him or her to spend some on you.

Bread braid:  As it’s pulled apart and consumed, bread baked in this form can be used to separate lovers and break up relationships.

Cayenne pepper: Commonly known as the “hot food powder of the culinary world,” this little gem works wonders when it comes to getting your way. Be sure to apply it liberally.

Cinnamon:  Fold and mix this into recipes to induce and secure love. (Pies, rolls, cakes, cookies, and wine are good options.) Sprinkle it on top of beverages to obtain money.

Clove:  Long known for its powers of seduction, add ground or powdered clove to hot beverages and desserts to induce lust. (Once you’ve got the target in the position desired, add it to massage oil to really liven things up!)

Ginger: Add this to foods to increase sexual endurance and stamina.

Kava-Kava root:  This peppery-tasting substance induces a natural state of euphoria and relaxes the judgment centers, making them open to suggestion. The key, though, is that it must be fresh or freshly dried. And since it’s most effective when added to a butter or milk base, it’s the perfect addition to egg nog, cream sauces, or gravies.

Mint:  Incorporate to cool anger and force your target to chill out—even if you’re the one at fault.

Nuts:  Want to plant the seeds of your desires in the target’s head and make them think it was their idea? Just add any type of nut to the food you’re serving. Nuts may also be used to plant seeds of doubt.

Potato:  It a target is standing in the way of what you want, carve his or her initials in a potato, then cut it into small pieces before cooking and serving. (It’s also useful to add a dollar sign to the carving if your target is being stingy with money.)

Saltpeter:  A pinch of this added to any food will definitely keep any lover from straying. It’s important to note, however, that while your lover won’t stray, he or she won’t be able to perform with you either.

Sesame seeds;  Because these are sacred to both Ganesha and Hecate, they are excellent additions when used to remove obstacles and get what you want.

Putting The Dirt To Work

When working with dirt, there is no need to cleanse it, charge it or do anything else you might do when using another ingredient in your spells or rituals. Why? Because the Earth is very old, ancient in fact, making it very stable. The Earth has collected all the consciousness of those who have walked here before us. The Earth has collected their knowledge and their power. If you had collected the dirt from a cemetery, it would contain all the energies and qualities of the person whose final resting place you got the dirt from. Altogether, you have already made a magickal operation. Now to apply it.

There are several ways you can do this, but they all start out the same. You just need to decide which dirt samples to combine. You can mix as many or as few as you like, the only rule being that the combination must be to your benefit and not harm you in any way at all.

Once you’ve decided this, the only left is to figure out exactly how you intend to apply the dirt. There is no right or wrong way and that you can’t mess it up.  Just be comfortable with the method you choose and let the dirt go to work.

Here are a few ideas on applying your dirt:

Sprinkling:  The easiest and quicest way to incorporate the dirt’s energies into your life is to sprinkle it along the bottom of your walls, under your throw rugs, along the outside of your house and then at the end of your property. Be sure to include all door mats and around the front porch. The only problem with its presence inside the house is the vacuum cleaner. Just be aware that you’ll have to replace the dirt every time you clean.

Charm Bags:  The bag can be made out of the traditional red flannel, leather, beadwork or any material that you prefer. The dirt is combined with snippets of your hair and fingernail clippings. By doing this, it indicates that you are the person to benefit from the spell. You can also include any other items that you might consider important to your spell working. The mixture is then placed in the bag, which is then worn around the neck or placed some where on the body. The bags can contain nail and hair clippings from other family members also. If you decide to do this, the bag should be buried rather than worn and rest close to the front step of the home as possible.

Good Luck Bottles:  Some knows these as Witches’ Bottles, which means you will have to have a jar with a tightly, secured lid.  The dirt mixture is placed in the bottom of the container and sprinkled with herbs that vibrate to good fortune (cinnamon, basil, lavender, as excellent herbs to use, the combination brings love, money and spiritual protection.)  Fish hooks are also added to hook good luck for you, as are nine dimes in payment to the spirit world for its protection and rewards.  Once the jar is at least half full, it should be filled to the top with your urine, capped tightly, and buried on your property.  Again bury this close to the front door as possible.

Plain old rice powder enhances sexual attractiveness in women and virility in men. It also heightens passions for both: use by itself as dusting powder or as the preferred basis for other love powders. Sprinkle it between your sheets.

This is a very ancient formula. Some recommend mixing it in food or water, as a love philter. Mistletoe has toxic properties–perhaps this is taking too much of a chance with romance. However, grind dried elecampane, mistletoe and vervain into a fine powder.

*Use it as drawing powder
 
*Decorate an altar
 
*Dress a candle
 
*Carry it in a charm bag
 
If your heart is set on that love potion, a safer and perhaps even more powerful method of drawing on the powder of the herbal blend is to substitute the flower essence remedies made from each plant. Add a few drops of each to champagne or sparkling water.

A modern Syrian custom suggests that an Evil Eye afflicted ailing child drink water blended from seven distinct wells or cisterns. It can be difficult to locate one well or cistern. As if you didn’t have enough trouble, now you have to locate seven? Update the spell, itself an adaption. There is a very anicent pan-Semitic belief in the magickal healing power of water blended from seven springs. When the springs became unavailable cisterns were substituted.
 
1. Blend seven different bottled spring waters, each from a distinct source.
 
2. Give the child a glass to drink and apply a compress soaked in the blended water, too.

* 2-4 Cups of Spring Water, as a base
* 1 Tble. Powdered Iron or Iron Shavings
* 1 tsp. Vervain
* 2 Tble. Sea Salt
* 2 Tble. of each frankincense & Myrrh
· A pinch of Wolf’s hair from a live, shedding Wolf (ask a local Zoo keeper)

* The Great Outdoors (This could be your back yard, a park, or forest — anyplace where the wishing powder will land on the earth when you release it).
* Anything else you feel you need to personalize your wish.You will need to craft the wishing powder ahead of time. You can either do this at home in a Circle or, if you don’t mind taking your mortal and pestle along with you, you can make it outside where you plan to use it.
(This isn’t too hard to do if you’re staying in your own backyard).
 
2 parts sage
1 part sandalwood
1 part Tonka beans
 
Grind, mix, and empower.
If you’re feeling adventurous, customize your wishing powder to the wish you’ll be making. (Example: Crushed rose petals for bringing love into your life).
Find a spot to make our wishes from. Take a handful of the wishing powder and begin concentrating on your wishes.(Please do not put yourself in danger to make a wish. A wish is just as powerful whether it’s made standing on a rock on the side of a steep hill or standing in a field). Put your energy and wish into the powder you are holding. When it feels like you can no longer hold the energy, let it fly. As the powder settles to the ground, visualize your wishes joining with the Earth,
gaining power and strength. As always, remember the Rule of Three when making your wish. After putting the energy out there, it’s impossible to call it back.
Remember the old saying, “Be careful what you wish for, you may get it.” If you are worried about where to get Tonka Beans (as needed for the above wishing spell). You can do an easy search for them through any search engine to find them. Vanilla Beans/pods are a Substitute

LOVE POTION TEA

1 pinch of rosemary
2 teaspoons of black ordinary breakfast tea
3 pinches thyme
3 pinches nutmeg
3 fresh mint leaves
6 fresh rose petals
6 lemon leaves
3 cups pure spring water
Sugar to taste
Honey
 
To make another person fall in love with you, brew this tea on a Friday during a waxing moon. Waxing = moving from dark or no moon to fullPlace all ingredients in an earthenware or copper tea kettle.
Boil three cups of pure spring water and add to the kettle. Sweeten with sugar and honey, if desired.
Before drinking, recite this magical rhyme:
 
BY LIGHT OF MOON WAXING BREW THIS TEA TO MAKE [lover’s name] DESIRE ME.
 
Drink some of the tea and say:
 
GODDESS OF LOVE HEAR NOW MY PLEA
LET [lover’s name] DESIRE ME!
SO MOTE IT BE
 
On the following Friday, brew another pot of the love potion tea and give some to the person you want to love you. He or she will soon begin to fall in love with you.

One part sandalwood oil
One part patchouli oil
One part clove bud oil
One part frankincense oil
One part nutmeg oil
 
You will also need a green candle, parchment, a pen and dragon’s blood ink.
You may also use a green or gold ink pen.
On the waxing or full moon, fold all the herbs into the cloth and tie a ribbon around it and place it on your altar.
Combine the oils together and place the bottle on your altar.
On the parchment draw the symbol for Jupiter, a money symbol (like a dollar sign or the
symbol for the pound or a rune for prosperity). Also make a general list of all the things
you’d like to gain from your new job. Take the green candle and with a pen, tack or crystal,
carve the word “Prosperity” into the wax. Anoint the candle with some of the oil and allow it
to burn out. Wear the remainder of the oil as a perfume, add it to a bath or put a drop or two
on your application or resume. Sleep with the sachet under your pillow for at least a week.
You should see results in 1-3 months.

Magick Potion to Heal a Broken Heart

This eases the pain of losing the one you love and helps heal your heart.

Items You Will Need:

  • A small piece or rose quartz
  • A glass jar or bottle, preferably green with a lid or stopper
  • 9 ounces of olive, almond or grape seed oil
  • 6 drops of rose, jasmine or ylang-ylang essential oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried chamomile leaves

Best Time To Cast:

  • Begin on the new moon and continue for as long as necessary.

The Spell

Collect the ingredient needed for this magick balm. Wash the rose quartz and the jar with mild soap and water. Cast a circle around the area where you will do your spell. Pour the olive, almond, or grape seed oil into the jar. Add the essential oil and inhale the fragrance, allowing it to relax your mind. Crush the chamomile leaves very fine and sprinkle them in the oil. Add the rose quartz. Cap the jar and inhale it three times to blend and charge the ingredients. Open the circle.

Before going to bed, pour a little of the magick balm into your palm and dip your index finger in it. Then rub the oil on your skin at your heart center. Feel it gently soothing the pain. Take several slow, deep breath, inhaling the pleasant scent, letting it calm your thoughts and emotions. Repeat each night and each morning until your sadness diminishes.
