Hi

I’m in the emergency room because I was up most of the night coughing and having a hard time breathing. All variants of COVID-19 have been ruled out. I just have run of the mill pneumonia. The doctors are saying they want to keep me overnight for breathing treatments and IV antibiotics. Well I won’t be working the carnival again this week because both myself and my fiancée collapsed yesterday afternoon with heat exhaustion. We wound up going to an Urgent Care facility and the doctor there strongly recommended we stay indoors in air conditioning for the next few days. The temperatures here are in the high 80s to mid 90s F with a high humidity and dew point all the makings for a high Heat Index Temperature. Plus I picked up a lovely chest cold somehow. My magickal companion, Starbabie, and my fiancée two dogs are happy we are home instead od having to be away “forever” in their minds. The bad part is we are losing money we really need for paying bills. In a way I am glad we are home bound because it gives me the time to bring you a more through Daily Divination Journal, I just got a new tarot deck that i am looking forward to using today, and other posts on various topics. I will get the Daily Divination Journal up a later today as I can barely keep my eyes open right now.

A Basic Guide to Working with the Elements

There a four basic elements most Wiches work with Air, Fire, Water and Earth. There is also a fifth Spirit
which we commune with and use on a daily bases.

When working with and using the elements for spellcraft and rituals please make sure to always dismiss
them and tell them to go back from where they came with your thanks. Not doing so can cause some
strange things to happen where ever you may have used them, i.e. in your home electronics might act up,
feeling a draft for no reason, hearing water running when none is, etc.

Spirit is used any time you call upon a God and/or Goddess and/or an Archangel for help with something.
This element does not usually cause anything strange to happen if you do not send it back. You still should
thank whom ever you called upon to lend power and help to whatever you are doing.

The element of Air is most commonly called upon when needing help with somethig that is intelligents, i.e.
home work, getting a job done by a deadline, some times just thinking straight, etc.

The element of Water is most commonly used when dealing with something involving emotions. By this I do

The four basic elements of Air, Water, Fire and Earth can be used together for certain types of spell work and
each should always be represented on your Altar when preforming any type of Ritual. The fifth Element of
Spirit is always a guiding force during Rituals and should also be represented on your Altar.

Examples of what can be used to represent the Elements on your Altar:

Air set in the East – a feather, hatched wild birds egg, incenses or yellow candle, bird’s nest

Water set in the West – a bowl of tap water or rain water or melted snow (this is usually used in
transformation work), bowl of sea salt or blue candle

Fire set in the South – a red candle or if outside and/or if you have a fireplace on a south wall a real wood
burning fire is possible

Earth set in the North – a bowl of regular table salt, a bowl of dirt from your yard or a green candle

Spirit set in either the Northeast or Nortwest (I always set mine in the Northeast as I feel Spirit and Air
usually work together) – an Angel and/or Goddess and/or God statue or white candle. SPirit can also be
represented by having something in the Northest to represt Goddess (female aspect) and something in the
Northwest to represent God (the male aspect. NOt all witches or traditions of witchcraft work with the duality
of all things also known as the female and male aspects.

A Way to Get Energized

Sometimes we do not need a speel or full ritual to connect with and use magick. As the following will show.

I have a very busy life with working with the carnvil in the summer, running our online coven, mentoring witches, besides taking care of home, hubby, my familiar and our two other dogs. So there are many times my physical energy levels is almost at zero. I have found that calling upon Ra, the Ancients Egyptian Sun God, to fill me with his energy is a way to go to make it through a day.

When the Sun is out and I can see it, in others words a clear or partily cloudy day, I just stand outside and face Ra. I then ask him to please fill me with his warmth and energy. After I see red through my eyelids I know he has done his best for me at that time. I thank him for his gift and continue on with my day feeling filled with energy.

When I cannot see the Sun outdoors it gets a little more complicated. To fix this, I have a picture I took of the Sun on a cloudless day on my cell phone. I bring the picture up and ask Ra for his warmth and energy to come from his picture into me. This way does take longer about seven to ten minutes as opposed to only about three to five minutes when I can see Ra directly. When I feel myself full of his energy I thank him for his gift and go on with my day.

This is a simple thing to do and good for us too as we each need a lot of Vitamin D daily. I have read a couple of studies that stated spending twenty minutes a day with no sunblock on your face or a hat covering it up will give you all the Vitamin D you need that day. The reason to do it daily is our bodies does not store this vitamin. This is just a suggestion and not meant in any way as medical advice. Check with your personal health care giver before letting Ra bless you for the twenty minutes.

It should also be done to a black stone weekly if it has been empowered to collect negative energies to ensure it is always at its peak of power to collect negativity before it gets overloaded and leaks onto and/or into you and.or someone else.

What you will need:

The object to be cleansed

Small bowl of water

Regular table salt without Iodine if possible

Feather

White candle

Small white cloth

How to cleanse any object:

Fill in the blanks with the proper element or object depending on where the blank is in the sentence.

If you are cleansing a stone, crystal, gem, semi-precious gem the wording it change to say for each element, “______ I ask you to remove all energies but mine and the _______.”

Add the salt to the water. place the object in the salt water with your power hand (the hand you write with). Then say three times, ” Earth and Water I ask you to remove all energy but my own from this ______”. Take it out of the salt water with your power hand. WARNING: Some gems and crystals should not be left sitting in any type of water. For those things sparingly sprinkle them with the salt water (Earth/Water Element) on all sides.

Place the object on the white cloth. With your power hand pick up the feather. Wave it over the stone saying three times, “Air I ask you to remove all energy but my own from this _______”. Turn the object over and repeat until all outside surface has been done.

Light the white candle then pick the object up in your power hand. Move the object over the top of the flame (being careful not to burn yourself) saying three times, “Fire I ask you to remove all outside energies from this ________”. Turn the stone over and repeat until all outside surface has been done.. Place the object back on the white cloth and blow out the candle.

The white cloth represents Spirit. While an object is laying on the cloth cover it with part of the cloth. Say over it three times, “Spirit I ask you to remove all energies but my own from this ______.”
