Today is going to be a little different, needless to say! We are totally unprepared (unlike if Lady Abyss was here). Lady A is currently nursing her hand again, the damn dummy! And I am not doing a thing behind her back because after she gets a fox loaded up, she will read all of this. As you all know Lady A can charm animals. We have had a pack of coyote dogs running the place. These dogs are very dangerous, they will even attack humans. They have been killing all our outside animals that just wander the property. Lady A got wind of a local cougar being near, she summoned it to do her bidding. You and I both know what that was. Well come to find out this cougar is a female and she is pregnant. Lady A decides she wants her to stay here where it is safe.
During our Mabon celebration, she took the cougar as a familiar. Apparently the cougar wanted to take her as its’ witch also. To make a long story short, Lady A sit down in front of the cougar and held out her hand. The cougar took its paw and cut Lady A’s hand. It cut it from one end to the other. We started to rush to her aid but she motioned for us to stop. She then picked up the cougar’s paw and placed it in her bloody hand, covering the paw in her blood. The cougar laid down like a cat and started licking the blood. You could see an immediate transformation come over that cougar. It rolled over on it’s belly for her to rub, it got up and give her the biggest, nastiest lick you have ever seen in your life. Both of them are now bonded. The cougar has it’s own enclosure. It comes and goes as it wishes and most important we are no longer scared to death of it. Mind you, we keep our distance but we aren’t scared to death of it.
Lady A should have went and got stitches but she reminded us that her fore-mothers didn’t go and get stitches when they made familiars. So we let her be. But she is off the computer keyboard for a change and it’s me again! Aren’t you so lucky, lmao!

Smell Good Tea Hair Rinse
Boil two cups of water on the stove, in a small pot. Add two of your favorite tea bags and turn burner to low, the lowest setting you can put it on, allowing tea to steep for at least a half hour. Remove tea bags and make sure that the water is still warm…but not hot! You don’t want to get burned. In the shower or over your sink, slowly pour the water right from the pot over your hair, massaging scalp as you do so. Allow the tea bags to dry and then tear the packets open, using the tea in your potpourri or in your compost!
The Father-Son Talk: Reincarnation

So one day I am minding my own business reading a magazine, when I hear my seventeen-year-old son come banging down the stairs. I mean, is there any other way a seventeen-year-old comes down the stairs? He walks right up to me and asks a question. Normally, I am quite immune to the questions my teen-age son asks of me. We have an agreement that he can ask me anything. However, this time I was a little startled.
“Dad, what does your faith tell you about reincarnation?” ” I mean what is it all about?”
I blinked several times at him going over the vast amounts of answers and ways I could answer him in my head. I caught myself just in the nick of time, as I was tempted to give a quick answer and be done with the subject. Upon pondering the question, I told him to let me think of how I could explain it to him, in terms he might understand and I would get back to him.
Very clever on my part, I must say myself.
However, I was now stuck pondering this and trying to coming up with an answer he would accept and one that made sense to him. I thought about it and asked the Goddess for the wisdom to explain this to my son in a good way that he might understand it.
I did think of a way to explain my thoughts and views on what I believe in regards to the subject. And with the help of the Goddess, I came up with a way to get the idea and the belief I share, to my son. This is what I told him…
Imagine that you are a thread pulled from the hem of the Lord’s garment and Lady’s gown. Imagine that our cosmos and all the planes or levels in our cosmos are similar to a train station. Now imagine that the Lord and Lady pull that thread from Their robes and They lean over and drop it into the train station. As the thread falls, They give it a name.
They give it your name.
You then awaken in the train station. There is a large round building with thousands of doors encircling the station. Each door has a name above it. You look around and you can see that there are hundreds and hundreds of train platforms as well.
Imagine that as you look around behind you, there is a door with your name on it. So you decide to go into that door. You open it and walk inside. Inside you see a vast room with rows and rows of empty shelves lining the walls.
Not really understanding what they are for, you leave your room and go back into the large train station.
A thought hits you that as long as you are in a train station you might as well ride a train. So you pick a train that is closest to you. You go out and stand on the platform and are then loaded onto a train that says “WOMAN” on the side. You sit down in the seat and the train leaves the station.
As the train pulls out and enters under a golden arch you are born as a woman. You live your life as a woman. You get to experience what it means to be a woman and all the mysteries of that life.
As the train runs the rails, so do the days of your life. During Midlife, the train does a u-turn and starts heading back to the train station. As your life as a woman starts to end, you enter back into the train station. You pass through the veil and can now see that you are seated back on the train as it pulls to a stop.
If you have learned what you needed to learn in that life as a woman, the conductor on the train will walk up and give you a trophy. You then get off the train with that trophy and enter the train station again.
You watch as other riders go into their own doors with their trophies. So you walk up to your door and go inside. Inside, you carefully take your trophy and put it on one of the shelves.
Looking at all that shelf space, it becomes apparent to you that you must ride many, many more trains.
So you set out to ride the trains. You ride the trains and come to know what it means to live as a man and a woman in different lives. You come to ride the trains and live as an animal and perhaps as a plant. You ride and you live all these different kinds of lives. You might even ride a train in which you are born as light or darkness.
Every time you ride and learn whatever that life had to teach you, a trophy was given as a testament to your newfound knowledge. Each time, you enter into your personal door and room and place your new trophy on the shelves there.
At some point you will ride every train in the station.
Some long trains and long lives. Some not so long and some very short. Some very difficult lives and some very easy. As you ride the trains you are filling up your shelves in your personal room. With trophy in hand you walk in to your room and place it on the very last spot, on the very last shelf. You look around and there is no more space. Perhaps not knowing what else to do, you leave your room to enter the train station again.
As you open the door you find yourself face to face with the God and Goddess. They greet you and lead you a place overlooking the train station. They point down at the people all running about on the floors below. The Lord and Lady then simply vanish leaving you to ponder the train station below you.
You look around and notice that you have a small thread hanging from your robes. You pull the thread and speak the name ‘John’ or perhaps ‘Mary’ as you drop it into the train station.
Then you watch and listen as they ride the trains…
At the end of my story my son stood there blinking at me in wonderment. “That’s so cool, Dad. I know exactly what you mean. That’s how you see reincarnation?”
“Really, really cool … can I have the keys to the car now?”

There will be something around here to actually do for a change. The only time something happens is when it is a holiday. The rest of the time you just hang from the ceiling out of boredom, lol!
I didn’t want to get off subject but I did. I started out to tell you today’s posts might be short. The reason, I have a doctor’s appointment to go too. So if I zip out of here real quick, you know what is going on. And of course, my little shadow, Mystie will be going with me. I think she thinks if she doesn’t go, I won’t go to the doctor appointments. Silly Girl!

For centuries, people have been turning to their beloved pooches for affection and companionship. And for good reason — dogs are incredibly perceptive and intelligent creatures. They may not understand the nuances of everyday life, of course, but dogs have an incredible ability to understand how their pet parents are feeling emotionally, and even physically. Indeed, they don’t call ‘em man’s best friend for nothing!

1. They Know if You’re Scared.
Heard something go bump in the night? Dogs can pick up on your fear, and will usually mimic your behavior. If you’d like to alleviate your dog’s fear, you need to alleviate your own first! One exception, though, would be the several breeds that have been, well, bred, to be guard dogs.
2. They Notice Inequality.
Dogs can tell if you’re playing favorites. Let’s say you have two dogs who both earned a treat for good behavior. If you give a treat to only one, the other will likely pick up on that, and believe she’s done something wrong. They can even stop cooperating all together. Perhaps there’s something us humans can learn from this!
3. They Know Whether or Not You’re Paying Attention.
Any pet parent with a sneaky pooch knows this one is totally true! The science backs it up, too: studies have shown that dogs are perfectly aware whether or not there are any people around, and will behave accordingly. Even the most well-behaved dog on the block can’t risk temptations when no humans are around to scold them.
4. They Can Tell if You’re Sick.
Dogs have long been prized — and put to work — for their keen sense of smell. Their noses are thousands of times stronger than the average human! Just as dogs are trained to sniff for drugs or explosives, dogs have also been successfully trained to pick up on the extremely subtle scents our bodies give off when we have cancer. Other dogs have been trained to alert their pet parents when they’re about to have a seizure minutes or even hours before an attack will happen– though it’s not entirely clear if this skill is related to dog’s sense of smell.
5. They Know If You’re Sad.
Does your dog somehow know just what to do when you’re not feeling so happy? You’re not imagining it — studies have shown that dogs can pick up on your sadness and are more likely to approach you. One such study placed two people, one crying and one quiet, in a room. Almost all of the dogs approached the crying person, and most of those did so with submissive body language — even if the crying person was a stranger to them. Researchers, though, aren’t entirely clear on whether this means that dogs fully understand empathy.

Buttocks: To keep someone from taking your job, place three pins each buttock cheek.
Hands: Insert pins here to keep the victim from stealing from you–this could include preventing the theft of your lover–and to sentence him or her to a life of poverty.
Head: Pins inserted in the area can cause confusion, disorientation, and depression.
Eyes: These are excellent inssertion points when the intent involves making the victim oblivious to your action.

This masked bandit can make you laugh with his antics, or make you angry when you realize he’s made off with your food! Raccoon is incredibly curious—to the point that he’ll walk into a potentially dangerous situation just to see what’s up. Like Raccoon, are there situations you’re barging into before you have all the information? Might want to re-think this one.
