Spell to Protect One from Spirits or Demons

Cast a circle of salt on the ground and step into it.

“I call upon the knights of
the past, all knights of the
ancient law.
Please hear me dead
knights of the English
tongue.
Hear me all knights who
were lost in battle, who’s
blades did good.

Hear me all knights of old,
hear me all knights of lost
souls. I invoke thee this
night.
I summon thee to my aid.
Your body is gone now but a
spirit you be.
Hear me dead knights I
invoke thee. By your
blade of the spirit I invoke
you. By all your might I invoke
you. By your spirit I invoke
you. I summon thee and enlist
each of thee.

I invoke all you dead
knights that were lost.
Hear my pleas and fight at
my side. Protect me from
spirits harm. Fight my
battles I say to thee. Hear
me spirits of lost knights,
come to my aid, come to my
side. Protect me from spirits
harm. Protect me from
spirits light. I invoke you. I
invoke you. I invoke you.
Let my army be done.
Let it be
Let it be…

Flowers/Plants: Dinosaur Evergreens Thought Extinct for 2Mil Years Discovered by Park Ranger, 90-Tree Grove is ‘Find of the Century’

From Australia comes a story too cool to believe. Like a vegetable version of Jurassic Park or King Kong, a copse of pine trees from a species that evolved in the Cretaceous Era were found high in the mountains.

These living fossils, to use the classic phrase, survived both the comet impact and subsequent global firestorm that killed the dinosaurs, as well as two intervening ice ages to make it to our time, and Australian botanists are treating the specimens as a top-secret national treasure.

The Wollemi pine evolved 91 million years ago and went extinct according to the fossil record 2 million years ago, but in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, a stand of 90 specimens were found high in the more remote peaks in 1994.

It helps the story that the Wollemi doesn’t look much like any pine tree you’ve seen in the woods by your house. Sporting Granny Smith apple-green foliage that grows in a pattern similar to a fern, it has a covering of bark reminiscent of Coco-puffs.

“Wollemi Pine seedlings and saplings grow less than one centimeter a year. They won’t mature until they can reach the rainforest canopy and access the sunlight above,” research scientist Berin Mackenzie told national news, adding that they grow extremely slowly.

All Signs

This week the Sun and Mercury are in Pisces, which means for the next several weeks, we will all feel otherworldly and a bit fey. Our clairvoyant senses will be heightened. (It will be subtle but it will be there.) Because of this, it’s important to be attentive and listen to that “little voice in your head”. Don’t discount your ability to sense things that are not based on analysis because we receive information in many ways. This is the perfect time to ponder the wisdom of Albert Einstein, who was a Pisces. He said: “Imagination is everything. It’s a preview of life’s coming attractions.” He also said, “Once you can accept the universe as matter expanding into nothing – that is something; wearing stripes with plaids comes easy.” (Einstein never saw spandex.)

Aries (March 21-April 19)

In All Signs above, I mention we will feel otherworldly and that our clairvoyant powers will be stronger in the next several weeks. This applies to you even more so! Therefore, respect your “Spidey sense” because messages from the universe through ideas, intuitions and dreams will be floating through your mind and your sensory perceptions. Make a mental note of any conclusions you may come to or important ideas because these might be a clue for your future. Meanwhile, your interactions with friends, groups and organizations will be vigourous and successful. People welcome your input. (A flirtation with a friend is possible.)

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

You’re entering a popular four weeks ahead – no question. Quite likely, many of you will be more involved with younger people than usual. You might also take on a leadership role in a club or an organization. This same window of time is a good opportunity for you to share your hopes and dreams for the future with someone to get their feedback. This could be helpful for you. It’s tough to operate in a vacuum. Feedback can be reassuring and confidence building. Fortunately, your ambition is strong now and will stay that way for the next several weeks. Furthermore, authority figures will look kindly on you. (So kindly that some of you will begin a romance with a boss.)

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

It’s important to know when an opportunity is available to you. So often we don’t know this. It’s like having a valuable diamond hidden in your home but you don’t know it. Obviously, it will do you no good. For the next four weeks (and this happens only once a year), the Sun is sitting at the top of your chart, symbolically casting you in a spotlight that is flattering to you. This means others, especially bosses and people in authority will admire you. They see you as competent, capable and effective (even if you don’t do anything different). Hello? This is an advantage! It means now is the time to advance your cause or make your pitch because the odds are with you. Ya think?

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

You will feel a strong urge to travel or do something different in the next few weeks. If you can travel – great. If you can’t travel, you can still do something to create a sense of adventure and greater stimulation in your life. Be a tourist in your own neighbourhood. Go places you’ve never been before. Visit stores, museums, parks, galleries as well as the theatre, bowling alleys, pubs and give yourself a new experience. You will also enjoy increasing your knowledge through books or film. Some of you might learn new things by talking to people from other backgrounds. Make the most of this chance to enrich your experience of your world!

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Life has some challenges for you now with Mars opposite your sign. For example, relations with friends and partners might be a bit testy. Nevertheless, right now, Jupiter is at the top of your chart (which occurs only once every 12 years) and this boosts your reputation in the eyes of others. You look successful! For the next few weeks, your focus on inheritances, wills, shared property, insurance issues and taxes will be stronger. Now is the time to sort out these details and get on top of whatever can affect your wealth directly or indirectly. Fortunately, Venus will enrich your closest relationships, which is like a little gift coming your way.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

For the next four weeks, the Sun is opposite your sign, and because the Sun represents energy, and it is now as far away from you as it can get all year (in your chart) — this means your energy will be flagging. You will need more sleep. However, this polarized position of the Sun will also give you greater objectivity to see your role in your closest relationships and partnerships. This is an advantage! You will see ways to improve these relations. (Obviously, you can only change your behaviour – not the behaviour of others.) Meanwhile, you’re keen to work; and luckily, coworkers will be supportive, which can make all the difference.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Starting this week, you’re gung-ho to be productive. You want to work hard to get as much done as possible. Furthermore, you want your actions to count, which is why you want to work effectively and efficiently. And you will do this, which means it will be easier than usual for you to accomplish a lot. Believe that you have this ability! However, it’s not all work and no play. Oh no. Venus and Mars want you to grab opportunities to schmooze and enjoy sports events, the arts, the theatre, the entertainment world and fun times with others, including playful activities with children. It’s time to work hard and party hard!

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

It’s going to be play city for your sign for the next four weeks. Grab something sexy and exciting to wear. Accept all invitations to party and schmooze with others. Enjoy social outings and fun times with friends as well as playful times with kids. Sports and the arts will particularly appeal. This is the perfect time for a vacation. Meanwhile, many of you will also make improvements on the home front and beautify where you live through redecorating projects or buying something attractive for your home. You will also enjoy entertaining at home in the next few weeks. Live it up!

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Home, family and your private life will become your primary focus in the next four weeks. In fact, many of you will be involved more than usual with a parent. This is also the perfect time to tackle home repairs and DIY projects because you want to create a solid base that you can count on for yourself and your family in the future. Daily interactions with neighbours, siblings and relatives will be positive because you will appreciate the affection and love that exists all around you. Be careful because you might come on like gangbusters with Mars in your House of Communications. (Great for sales, teaching and acting.)

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

The pace of your days will accelerate in the next four weeks because suddenly, you have a busy agenda! Your schedule is full of errands and appointments. In addition, you might see neighbours, relatives and siblings more than usual. Plus, many of you are reading, writing and studying more as well. All of this adds up to a busy pace that will be stimulating and exciting! Quite likely, you will shop more than usual, especially for beautiful things for yourself and favourite people. (Fun little gifts.) Fortunately, you have the motivation to work hard to boost your earnings. A winning combination!

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Without question, your focus will be on money, earnings, cash flow and also your possessions and assets in the next four weeks. You might be thinking of changing jobs? You might be thinking of how to boost your earnings? You certainly will have moneymaking ideas. This is the time for you to act if you’re thinking of checking out new ways to earn money because several reasons are present, which will help in your success. It is totally appropriate for you to do this right now because fair Venus in your own sign makes you look very attractive to others; and fiery Mars in your sign as well will make you appear proactive, decisive and confident. Therefore, if this is something you’re thinking of doing – do it in the next four to six weeks. Definitely.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Well, it’s all about you, dear Pisces because the Sun is in your sign now for the next four weeks, giving you a chance to replenish and recharge yourself for the rest of the year. This will build your confidence, and it will also attract people and favourable situations to you. Furthermore, Mercury in your sign will make you eager to share your ideas with others and talk to people about what you want and what interests you. Fortunately, with lucky Jupiter in your House of Communications, you are positive thinking and upbeat! Admittedly, Venus and Mars are hiding in your chart, promoting secret activities – among them, secret love affairs. This might also mean that someone out there does not have your best interests at heart. So, if you’re in a situation and you suspect something fishy is going on – it is. Trust your Spidey sense.

Incantation to Protect Against Demons

From an ancient Chaldean Magical Tablet we have this incantation against the entrance of Demons (and other bad spirits) into the house.

Talisman, talisman,
boundary that cannot be taken away,
boundary that the Gods cannot pass,
barrier immovable,
which is opposed to malevolence!
Whether it be a wicked Utuq,
a wicked Alal,
a wicked Gigim,
a wicked god,
a wicked Maskim,
a phantom, a spectre,
a vampire,
an incubus,
a succubus,
a nightmare,
may the barrier of the god Ea stop him!

Note: This spell can be enhanced if used in conjunction with protective herbs and/or salt spread across the threshold and window sills, and also if protective symbols (such as the one shown here) or runes are written or drawn on doors and windows.

Excavation of Artemis temple reveals evidence of animal sacrifices

Archaeologists excavating a temple complex at the Artemis Amarynthos sanctuary have uncovered evidence of animal sacrificial rites and new insights into the temple configuration.

The Artemis Amarynthos sanctuary is located in Amarynthos on the Greek island of Euboea.

During antiquity, the sanctuary was the centre of worship in dedication to Artemis (the goddess of the hunt, wild animals, and nature) in Northern Greece, and served as the annual pilgrimage destination from Eretria during the Amarysia festival procession.

Excavations at the sanctuary have been ongoing for the past four years, with this season’s dig uncovering further remains of a temple dated to the 7th century BC during the Archaic Period.

According to the researchers, the temple has an apsidal floor plan and measures 34 metres in length, which coincidentally corresponds to 100 feet in the Greek metric system. Archaeologists found hearths or altars where animals were sacrificed to honour Artemis, in addition to layers of ash and calcined animal bones.

In traditional animal sacrifices, the animal was led in procession to the altar and click here to read the rest of this article (source: heritagedaily.com)

The Moon’s current phase for today and tonight is a Waxing Gibbous phase. Visible through most of the night sky setting a few hours before sunrise. This phase is when the moon is more than 50% illuminated but not yet a Full Moon. The phase lasts about 7 days with the moon becoming more illuminated each day until the Full Moon. This September Full Moon will be the forth and final supermoon of 2023.

During a Waxing Gibbous the moon rises in the east in mid-afternoon and is high in the eastern sky at sunset. The word Gibbous first appeared in the 14th century and has its roots in the Latin word “gibbosus” meaning humpbacked.

Gebo – “Gift”

Gebo is the rune of gifts. It’s a positive symbol that indicates you are in the possession of many gifts and talents or that someone will bestow upon you bountiful blessings. It also relates to generosity, balance, and positive relationships. It has no inverted meaning.

KEYWORDS: Generosity, partnership, gifts

Witches’ Rune

The Moon

Long term changes are coming, transitions and changes, hidden agendas – secrets, imagination, feminine energies.

Rune Name: Moon
Think: Things are a little bit loony. The moon waxes and wanes in cycles and the full moon looks like a circle in the sky.
Remember: Negative. Past cycles are repeating themselves. However, pay attention to your intuition. Your dreams may have special messages for you during this time. There may be much secrecy and mystery going on. The moon can be a motherly, nurturing influence who gives advice that simply must be followed.

B – Beith

Beith, or Beth, corresponds to the letter B in the alphabet, and is associated with the Birch tree. When this symbol is used, it is representative of new beginnings, change, release, and rebirth. In some traditions, it also has connections with purification.

Birch trees are hardy. They’ll grow just about anywhere, including on bare soil. Because they tend to grow in clusters, what may be just one or two seedlings now can be practically an entire forest in a few decades. In addition to being a sturdy sort of tree, the Birch is useful. In days gone by, it was used for infants’ cradles, and is still harvested today to make cabinets and furniture.

From a magical perspective, there are a number of uses for Birch. The branches are traditionally incorporated into the construction of a besom, and are used for the bristles. Use the white outer bark in ritual in place of paper or parchment–just be sure you only harvest the bark from a fallen Birch tree, not a living one. Ancient herbalists discovered that various parts of this tree can be used for medicinal purposes. Bark was once brewed into a tea to fight fevers, and the leaves were used alternately as a laxative and a diuretic, depending on how they were prepared.

Beith Correspondences

Mundane Aspects: When this symbol appears, it means it’s time to get rid of all those negative influences you’ve been carrying around with you. Figure out what things are bad in your life, which relationships are toxic, and find a way to leave them behind. Instead of being dragged down by the negative, focus on the positive things you have in your life, the blessings and abundance. Use these things as a focus, rather than the harmful or damaging ones.

Magical Aspects: Consider the property of renewal and rebirth, as demonstrated by the Birch. Use this as a tool for spiritual and emotional regrowth, and developing your own ability to regenerate where there has been emptiness or devastation.

Healing Spell

Feeling under the weather? There’s a spell for that and the best part is, all you need is an open mind and positive outlook. You can heal yourself.

How to Perform It:

You’ll just need your hands for this one and a positive mindset. It’s very important that you clear your mind and ask the universe for it’s healing properties.

Take your hands and place them on your body where you need healing energy. This is similar to Reiki. Focus and imagine the universe’s loving energy flowing into your body delivering that healing.
