It Is A Very Blessed & Glorious Monday Morning, dear friends!

I truly hope you are having a very good Monday morning. I know this morning is much better than yesterday. Yesterday, I came to you with tears of sorrow. I must apologize I probably sounded like a babbling idoit or witch (in this case). But the news I received from WordPress truly upset me. It was a miracle that Annie came by and was able to finish up yesterday. I know she was also furious with WordPress and upset because I was. I know we have our disagreements at times but I am so fortunate to have her as a friend. I know you might think it is silly the way I reacted because this is “just” a website. But I feel very differently about it. To me, it is a work of love. I love the Goddess and I made a commitment to her. I cannot falter on the commitment. When I closed the old group on Yuku, I was off the internet for about two months. During those months, I was very depressed and felt like I didn’t have a friend in the world. Then one day something told me to get back on my computer. So I did. I realized what was missing in my life and what truly made me happy. It was spreading the message of the Goddess and my fellowship with other Pagans. As I started to look around for a place to start a new site, I was lost. The a voice in my ear whispered, “blog, do a blog.” I believe I was led to WordPress to start up a new Witches Of The Craft. I didn’t know anything about blogging.  I believe the Goddess took me by the hand and showed me. It was the Goddess’ love that built this site. You see that is why this is more to me than just a “website.” It is my commitment to Her that I must fulfill and continue. It is my love for you that I must continue. I have looked around the internet. There really isn’t anymore Pagan communities left on the net. That is another reason we must survive. All of the Pagan leaders, teachers and individuals, past and present, have brought the Craft this far. We must continue their work. Witchcraft must be brought to the forefront of mainstream Religion. The Pagan groups, blogs, websites that exist now, we must support all of them. Because together, we will bring Witchcraft back to its rightful place in history. Fifty years from now, our great-grandchildren will look back and see our painful past. They will also see were we persevered, fought on and made the Craft one of the foremost Religions in the world. For our children and their children, we must continue the fight. I have come to realize with the Goddess all things are possible.

When I left the site yesterday, my heart was breaking. I turned to the Goddess and let my soul and mind rest. I decided the fate of this site was in Her hands. If it was meant to be, it would. If we have gone as far as we were suppose to go, then I would accept it. Today, is a brand new day. My prayers are being answered and the Goddess’ will is being done. I come to you today with tears of joy. In one day, we have received enough donations to meet our domain payment. All things are possible with the Goddess. Thank you so much. I still can’t believe it. You are so wonderful and loving. I can never thank you enough. You are truly the greatest friends the WOTC and I have ever had. I consider each of you more than friends, you are my family. I wouldn’t know what to do if I couldn’t get up every morning and talk to you. I can feel your presence and your love. This is our home and it will continue to be our home, THANK YOU! I wish I could give each of you a great big hug. But unfortunately, I can’t. I am hoping you can feel my heart. It is singing with joy and gratitude.

I guess I better stop for now, I am starting to sound mushy. You will never see me mushy except on a day like today. It is a glorious and blessed Monday for the WOTC!

Please Remember We Need Your Help

Before I go, I would like to remind you that we need your help. As Lady A stated earlier WordPress has changed their policies in regards to domains. Last year at the time of purchase, if we did not renew our domain we would go back to our old addy on WordPress. This year at time of renewal the policy has changed. Now if we do not renew our domain, we will be off the internet. If you go to http://witchesofthecraft.com on Dec. 2nd, you will find nothing except a blank page. We will be gone forever.

You can imagine we are upset at this change in policy. We have had a very bad year as well as everyone else, thanks to the economy. Lady A had a severe illness, we have the animal refuge, utilities, insurance and various other expenses. This renewal business comes at a very bad time. None of us at the WOTC has the money to renew our domain. We need your help. We need your donations to keep us on the internet and pay our domain bill.

As you scroll through the pages, remember if our domain is not renewed. Those pages you are viewing will not be there Dec. 2nd. Please any amount you can afford to give, we would be appreciate it.

Good Sunday Morning, my beloved friends and family!

 

I hope everyone is having a super fantastic Sunday. I wish I could say I was. I have just received very bad news from WordPress and the WOTC needs help. The WOTC has always had our own domain name no matter where we went. The reason behind that is were no other group or site can try to past themselves off as us. We have worked very hard to have the reputation we have. I don’t want anyone else to ride in on our coattails and pretend to be us. So that is the reason behind us always purchasing our own domain. But WordPress is different from any other site we have ever dealt with. On the other sites, if we did not renew our domain, we would still be on the net (but not as witchesofthecraft.com). We would just be witchesofthecraft/msn.com for example. But at WordPress, if we do not renew by December 2, we will no longer be on the net. Poof! we are gone. I know WordPress has changed quite a few things and this is one of them. When we purchased the domain here, we were told if we decided not to renew we would go back to our old addy with them. Now if we do not renew, we will disappear from the net totally. All the hard work and information, we have put on this site will be gone, forever. If I had not just received this notice, I would be looking for a new home. But in the length of time we have, I don’t have time to do it.

So I am about to become a nervous wreck. We are about to lose everything. I am about to lose my baby. Oh, it breaks my heart. I call the WOTC my baby because I have poured blood, sweat and tears into this site as always. I have endured a lot and most of it you don’t know anything about. But we have made it through all the rough times up until now.

I personally don’t have the money and I hate like heck to ask for donations but I am desperate. I have had an extensive illness as you know. The other people that work here all volunteer their time because most of them are laid off. We love what we do. Doing this for you, is the reason we get up every morning. How many other Pagan sites do you see putting out a daily publication? None, except us. We love doing this. As far as I am concerned I am doing what the Goddess intended for me to do. Spreading Her message and teachings to you. So I am now forced to humbly ask for your help.

Please, please help save the WOTC!

It doesn’t matter how much you can give, every penny helps. All I ask is that you please help save the WOTC.

Please, I am asking from the bottom of heart for your help. I have never been so humble in my life as I am right now. This is my passion, you are my family and the reason we do this every day. Please don’t let our mission and message fall by the wayside. We have to Dec. 2nd. If we don’t have enough to renew our domain with WordPress, I will let you know Dec. 1st. Then we will say goodbye forever. Oh, Goddess this can’t happen, I pray.

Good Monday Morning, dear, dear friends! I hope you are having a fantastic day. I was sitting here thinking, wouldn’t it be great if we had the ability to add our voice to these posts! There are ways I want to say things that just don’t could across in type. The “Good” Monday Morning, I would love to be able to say it like Robin Williams did in “Good Morning Vietnam.” I don’t know if you have ever watched that movie or not. But I loved the way he said “good morning” to rouse the troops. It would be great to hear each of you making your comments instead of reading them. Heck, it would be great if we could all talk on this blog! I wonder if WordPress can do anything about that, lol!

I thought I would drop you a quick note to let you know nothing was wrong yesterday. We just took a well deserved day off. Since my illness, everyone has been in overdrive. Working their rumps off and doing such a great job. Annie ran the blog like a pro, the guys kept the animals superiorly. They just worked the little beehinds off and deserved the day off. I rested, they rested and we all are refreshed and ready to go. I know we should have told you but it was a spur of the moment deal. That is the way I generally operate, never plan nothing, just do it, now!

Ok, that’s out of the way, one more thing………

Important Announcements, Please Read

I have two fantastic announcements to make to you. As you have probably noticed we have took on the responsibility of posting all the daily info now for the Southern Hemisphere. We tried two different way in this group for this to work without a lot of hunting and aggravation on the part of our followers. To no avail could we get it to work here. Our solution, was to take one of my graphic groups, link it to this site and use if for the Southern postings each day. The linking of the two sites was successful. Now the U. S. daily horoscopes, tarot, runes, etc., will remain here. For everyone in the Southern part, you will go to the top menu. There you will find the link, “Southern Hemisphere Divination.” Click there and it will take you to your daily postings. The daily horoscopes, tarot, runes, moon phase and etc., are the only thing on that site. To come back to the WOTC, you will notice right above the categories over there, is a banner to the main group. Click there and you are brought back here. We decided this is the only way to handle this undertaking. We were looking through the postings and in the main section, there was Horoscopes for Sept. 29 then right behind it was Sept. 30. To us, that would lead to too much confusion, plus aggravation. As far as the jokes, cartoons, quizzes, Daily OM, Daily Motivator and etc., we will do just one daily posting for these. You will be able to find those postings on this group. We had no request from the Southern Hemisphere for these. So they will stay here and one daily posting of each of those mentioned done. I believe everyone will find this more desirable and easily navigated.

The next topic, I have been wanting to discuss with you is The Apothecary. As you know, we started out opening the Apothecary here on WordPress.  The only catch was there had to be daily posting done in the site also. If the posting stopped, the site would be closed. Plus the site had to be more informative than retail, which we didn’t like. We wanted to showcase the merchandise were we could sell it. The purpose of opening the site was to raise money for our organization. Producing more information than showing the products wasn’t going to make us money.  For the last four or five days, we have completely stopped posting over there. We have searched the net and found a site that will allow us to post as much merchandise as we want and it is free. I have been working on it every spare minute I get. It will be done shortly and when it is we will give you the addy to it. We will also have a banner link to it on the main page. The site is turning out to be unbelievable. It is going to be too pretty to be a retail store, lol! I am sure you will enjoy it and we haven’t forgot the promise we made about your purchasing from it. We get it set up, you will get the discounts and coupons we originally promised you.

Those are the only things right now we have to tell you. We are sorry for all the recent confusion on the site. It takes us a while to get our poop together but we eventually do. Remember to watch for the opening of the Apothecary.

Ok, Now Let’s Talk, lol!

I wasn’t going to waste writing three or four paragraphs and then they just disappear. That was what was happening yesterday. I was never so angry in my life. I was actually running early, in a good mood, sit down and nothing!!! What little posting (I think two or three posts) I got done, took about five minutes to posts. Then they would just disappear. I tried to tell you that I was going to do the daily posts at The Apothecary while it was working. I went to link and when I did the message just disappeared. I don’t know what is going on. I know this is about the second time this has happened.

I got bored with nothing to do and when over to Blogger to check that site out.  I actually got to playing and made a Witches Of The Craft over there. I was fuming, I tell you. I had it all laid out in my mind. I was going to combine the Apothecary with the WOTC. I had it planned were I could do my daily postings and then on the other side have our store. To me, at the time, it wasn’t a bad idea. I have played with Blogger’s design and the tools they offer are really pretty cool. I know they offer javascript and WordPress doesn’t.  JavaScript allows you to put on some really nice graphics and images. WordPress doesn’t allow it because they say javascript is too easy to put a virus in, which is bull. A smart hacker can put a virus in any script they want too, html, java, etc.

I am beginning to wonder if all of the problems we are experiencing is due to The Apothecary. Before we ever opened it, I went to the WordPress forums and asked them if you could sell on WordPress. Instead of answering the question like a human being, they deleted the post. I got to doing some research on the net about selling on WordPress since nobody here wanted to answer me. I ran across one or two articles that said you couldn’t. Then I ran across hundreds of articles that said you could. Come to find out, WordPress has a strict policy about selling merchandise on their site. It is a no, no! But they admit theirself, that is a site does daily postings then they can’t do a thing about them selling. I am beginning to wonder if the part about “they can’t do a thing about it” is a crock of crap. I read were individuals were pointing out certain sites selling. WordPress would respond, “Aren’t they doing daily postings?” Perhaps WordPress fixes it were you can’t do the daily postings, thus getting rid of that site.  Or perhaps they force, you out. Everything has run through my mind. I know at Blogger, they don’t mind if you sell. They are giving small business in Kentucky free sites to sell and promote their stores. That is a big deal on TV, Google and the KY government have agreed to give small businesses free websites for a year. It’s not a bad deal at all, I checked into it and after the year, you only pay a dollar a month for the site. I know it would cut down on some of our expenses greatly.

As far as The Apothecary goes, I don’t know what is wrong with the merchandise already on there. We have not sold anything at all. We have not made one cent off of it. Instead, it is starting to put us in the hole. We have people over there but they are enjoying the postings. Well that’s great but The Apothecary was suppose to be our way of raising  money were we wouldn’t have to ask for donations. Instead you will notice the donation button is back up on this site. I honestly don’t know if it is worth the effort anymore. I have seriously thought of moving it. Put it on a site were we could advertise it and then maybe it might make a dollar or two. Our expenses run us a total of $590.00 a month, might as well say $600.00. So you see that is why we need the donations. And I didn’t even mention the animal refuge. We use to like to donate to the local food pantries but that has had to cease. The economy just sucks for everyone right now. But that was the purpose of us opening The Apothecary, to make money were we could meet all of our obligations. And I wouldn’t have to continuously ask for donations or have a button on the site. That grips my rump, I feel like we are always begging. I hate that more than anything. It also get me that we can be self-sufficient by opening up a shop. We have always received donations from local folks. We still do or else we wouldn’t be on the net right now. But they have had to cut their donations back. They explain, when times get better, they will get back to their usual donation amounts. So you see we are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I am glad the people at the Apothecary are enjoying the postings. But it is suppose to make us money were we can survive. I really think I am going to go ahead with my Blogger idea. Google will advertise, promote and put the site in all the major search engines for free. What Google is offering right now for small businesses is too good to pass up. I seriously believe I would be crazy not to take advantage of what Google is offering. What do you think?

Checking To See If WordPress Is Normal

I don’t know what has been wrong with WordPress today. I checked the forums and apparently it is not only this site but everybody else. Posts taking 5 minutes to post, just disappearing or half of the post showing up. Nobody has an explanation but the bloggers are just a little niffed! I know I am in the niffed bunch. A whole day wasted and I have accomplished nothing. When I don’t put info on here, I am afraid I am going to lose you. I don’t want to lose any of my dear friends. I hope you understand today was not my fault. I am sorry it has been such an inconvenience for you. And I am sorry it has been such a pain in the butt for me.

Good Wednesday afternoon, dear friends! I am pooped! Feeding baby bobcats every two hours. When are you suppose to get any sleep? They are cute and adorable. I feed them and then I play, and I play some more. Next thing I know, it is 45 minutes away from the next feeding. Oh, boy, playing a Mother Bobcat is rough, rough, rough (oh, excuse me that’s a doggie, lol!). But very rewarding.

Jealous of his affair with Leucothoe, a Babylonian princess, Clytia told her strict father of it, whereupon he buried his daughter alive. As for Clytia, she eventually wasted away gazing at Helios, whereupon she was transformed into a sunflower, which still follows the movement of the sun with its head.

Good Saturday Afternoon, my luvs! Today Is Shot To….

Good Saturday Afternoon, my luvs! I hope you are having a fantastic day. Me? Ha! Since the day is shot to hell, I will tell you about it (lucky dog, you, lol!). We have had a prowler around the house for some time now. It has just been getting worse and worse. The past week the prowler has been coming right up to the bedroom window. Thursday night, I was asleep and Kiki was standing on my side, snarling, growling and foaming at the mouth. Now imagine a Pomeranian foaming at the mouth 😦 . Hubby got the gun and went outside. He saw someone running out in the field. So last night, I said the hell with it. I closed the glass window and the storm also. Well about 2:30 a.m., this morning all hell broke loose. Kiki went crazy, barking, growling and all over me. Then a huge rock came through one of our bedroom windows. Instead of screaming, I waded through the glass and pointed a shotgun out the window. The prowler wasn’t too quick or else he expected me to be screaming my lungs out. Anyway, he was were I could get good aim on him and I told him to hit the ground or else I was going to put him there. By this time hubby was out the door and had a rifle on him. He had also called 911. Sheriff and a couple of deputies came out. They said they had been having a problem with a prowler out in this area. Bet they don’t no more, lol! After they left, I stayed up picking the glass out of my feet. I really didn’t have that much to pick out. Thank goodness. Because of the animals, I shut the door and we all went and slept in a different bedroom.

Well being in a different bedroom, the sun sure did come up early this morning. I had Kiki curled up on a pillow beside me. Stinker was keeping my feet warm. Razzy was bringing me sheets of paper. Yeah, paper! She caught me cleaning out my purse and putting receipts in a pile to throw away. Razzy got to playing in the receipts and I made her a paper ball. Well ever since then, she wants paper balls made out of every piece of paper she sees. After going to bed at 5:00 a.m., I was up at 6:30 a.m., making paper balls.

I got up made about 4 paper balls, put some coffee on and cleaned the house up. Then when I sit down to do the blog, Kiki got sick. She stays on the bed most of the time. I felt this little paw tap me on my elbow. Before I could catch her, she was in my lap. She was shaking like the devil. I just dropped everything it scared me to death. Come to find out after about an hour, I found out it was her anal glands. We went to the bathroom and I cleaned out her anal glands and her rump. What a lovely job, NOT! After that everything was fine. I gave her some doggy treats and she laid down in her bed and went to sleep. I am pissed off. We went to the vet about a week ago. They supposedly checked her anal glands and they were “so” empty! Right, her poor little old glands were full. I am going to call the vet Monday and tell him exactly why I am changing vets!

While I am at it, I had a talk with Anastasia about the post she made. I kindly explained to her that I did not appreciate it at all. She was not to talk to our followers and friends like that. Ya’ll deserve much more respect that. It was a person’s freewill to come and go as they wished. And it was none of her business why anyone left. I told her to stick to writing what she was suppose to and never make a post like that again. I got one comment that interested me. The comment suggested I go check out another community to see what they were doing. I loved the community but WordPress’ format is not set up like that. Someone has specially designed that format for them. There is no way, you could have ten different groups under this main one. First the storage would be a huge issue. Next, WordPress just wouldn’t allow it. So if I wanted to do something like that, I would have to change host’s and move everything again. I appreciate the comment and I love the site you recommended. But unfortunately, it just won’t work here. Anastasia doesn’t understand that the WOTC has always been a library for Witchcraft. We provide the most current, accurate information that we can find for the new comer to the Craft or the Seasoned Practitioner. We have always operated this way and it seems to have worked for us. I figure right now school is starting back and life is hectic for everyone. When Winter sits in, everything would be back to normal. Like the rest of us, she needs to learn patience, lol! Which ain’t easy at times!

Another aid to eyesight is the plant known as eyebright, or euphrasy, whose astringency is such that it is still used to treat weeping or infected eyes. Eyebright is furthermore said to sharpen one’s insight, leading to intellectual or spiritual illumination.

Good Morning My Dearest Of Friends!


Good morning, dearies! Well it is still morning to me, lol! I have been on the blog off and on since 8:00 a.m., this morning. I have been drumming up some other Pagan blogs to link with and also be put in their search engines. See there is never a dull moment. I have decided one thing though, I hate like heck using my Microsoft Word Processor. I can get everything looking perfect then I bring it over here to the blog, it looks like crap! I think I spent an hour fixing the new “Astral Projection” section I put up. I finally got it right, finally! A tip for anyone using WordPress blogs, you have to use only the type you are allowed. I have found Arial works best, now that was the “tip of the day,” lol!

I do have good news though. We are starting to receive donations toward our server bill. For those of you, you don’t know how much it means to me. You are very caring, loving and supportive friends. I can never think you enough. When this drive is over, I plan to thank each one of you publicly. I feel you deserve to be recognized as special friends of the WOTC.

Even though that is fantastic news, we still need donations. You don’t know how much I hate to keep bringing this up, I really do. But you don’t know how much I want the WOTC to stay on the internet. The WOTC does the Goddess’ work. I have always believed the Goddess has had a hand in everything the WOTC does. I believe She has always instructed me on how to spread the truth about our Religion, Witchcraft. To some this might seem crazy, but you have to know the Goddess. She is a wonderful divine being, full of love and compassion. I have prayed to Her and asked Her to help the WOTC remain on the internet. All my means are exhausted and She knows it. I know the Goddess is answering my prayers by the donations we have already received. I have faith She will move even more hearts to make a donation. No matter how great or small, it all adds up believe me.

You know what I am about. You know what the WOTC is about. You know there is not that many Pagan blogs, websites or groups left anymore. This is a very sad thing, once the Pagan community thrived. Now it seems they have all disappeared. I have fought tooth and nail for years for the WOTC. I still have fight in me but I need your help, my friend. Just a little help to keep us on the net, were the WOTC won’t fall beside the wayside. The WOTC has an important mission in the Pagan community. You can help us achieve it. Just by giving us a helping hand.

I have been artistic this morning. I made up a small banner that says, “I (heart) the WOTC.”  I am going to post them throughout the daily posts. Not too many now I promise you. Just in case, you can’t find the button to donate the banner will be linked directly to the page.

 Perhaps you think I am harping on this and I might be. But this is not only important to you but also your children and their children. This is our Religion, our Traditions, our Beliefs, to be passed on and on. But if there is no one there to share our Religion with others, where does that leave our Religion?

Good & Blessed Sunday To All Our Dear Friends!

Good Sunday Morning/Afternoon to all of our dear friends! I hope everyone has had a beautiful weekend so far. I must apologize for not being online for the past two days, well really one. Yesterday, I did what I have planned on doing Friday but couldn’t. I couldn’t because our service provider dropped our service. Why? Because we couldn’t pay our bill. I talked and talked till I was blue in the face and got an extension on the bill. We now have to the second week in August to pay it. I only bought us sometime. We don’t have the money to pay it, at this time the contributions are extremely low and we are flat broke. Being flat broke is a very horrible feeling. I keep hoping and praying for a way to pay all our bills to turn up. But to this date, nothing!

 

Then when I finally did get on the internet, I started changing the graphics on the blog. I had made a header (since I had a lot of free time Friday) for the blog. I admit it looked good. Some of you might have saw it. It was on the group for awhile. I had changed the background, everything looked fantastic. Then the type/font wouldn’t show up. Well come to find out, you have to buy a kit from WordPress for $30 that allows you to change the color of the font. $30! Heck it might as well be $30,000! Another pipe dream shot all to heck!

 

The facts are the facts and I know no one likes them. But it has come down to this….the last two days you have experienced with this blog will be permanent. We have to come up with some donations to be able to stay on the net. We are a legitimate non-profit organization. Everyone seems to enjoy the message we are spreading. We just sincerely need some help now. Have you ever been in a situation were you could use a little helping hand? That is where we are right now, we need a little helping hand. If not, we will be off the internet.

 

There is a PayPal button in the upper right-hand corner. We also have a donate page with our fiscal address on it. You don’t have to donate huge amounts, every nickel, dime, penny counts right now. We are searching everywhere we can for just change. I think so far we have collected $2.01 and a fuzz ball, lol! If you want to see us stay on the net, if you like the daily information we provide you with, then please give what you can.

A Word Please…..

Just wanted to let you know WordPress is having a hissy this morning.  I am having difficulty get my info to post. And as far as a pic on the front page, forget it. I have tried it four times and it takes minutes and minutes and nothing. So there won’t be a front pic today. But there will be info, one way or the other, lol!
