Quiert

Delight, respite, celebration
Tree: Apple (Malus spp.)
Letter: Q

The apple is an ancient symbol of bounty, harmony, and completion. True to symbolism, Quiert indicates a time of well-deserved rest, or at least that you deserve rest even if you are unable to have enough of it. Constant activity goes against the flow of nature. Our society, which seeks to progress at an ever-faster pace until the human race metastasizes across the universe, has got it all wrong. Slowing down is the appropriate action in many cases, for instance after a period of activity or at the culmination of a big project.

There is great delight in the smallest periods of rest, whether that means taking the time to thank the person at the restaurant for making your sandwich (just because you paid for it with money does not mean verbal gratitude goes unappreciated) or to give a firm, polite “no” when someone deliberately or unwittingly threatens your peace of mind by asking too much of you. Quiert speaks of the sweetness of small human gestures and petite graces. Without them, civilization wouldn’t be quite so civilized, nor would it be as worthy of holding together.

Quiert might also indicate a longer resting/healing time for you or for someone else, or that rest is needed. Quiert says, “Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses. Observe. Live in the moment instead of always planning for the perfect future or reliving the past.” It is a marker of gratitude in general, and the slowness required to fully sense the world around us.

PERTH

Initiation, Something Concealed, A Secret Thing

Deep, inner trans formative powers are interacting, but what you are going to get out of them isn’t easy to recognize. An integrity – concealed, disguised, secretly hidden. After all, what is going to heal us and our soul is a deep mystery. On the side of the material world there probably will be surprises; unexpected profits are nothing to be excluded. Nothing less than a renewal your spirit is the risk you take. The old way found its end: You simply cannot repeat the old things any longer without suffering. However, you always have a chance: Either you see all negative as a “misfortune”, or you recognize the entire as a hindrance stretch, an inaugural way that you have to follow at this moment.

Coll

C, sometimes read as K, is Coll, which is the Hazel tree. August is known as the Hazel Moon, because this is when Hazel nuts appear on the trees–the world Coll translates to “the life force inside you”, and what better symbol of life than the nut itself? Hazel is associated with wisdom and creativity and knowledge. Sometimes it is connected in Celtic lore with magical springs, sacred wells, and divination.

Hazel was a handy tree to have around. It was used by many English pilgrims to make staffs for use upon the road–not only was it a sturdy walking stick, it also provided a modicum of self-defense for weary travelers. Certainly, it could have been used as well for ritual. Hazel was used in weaving of baskets by medieval folk, and the leaves were fed to cattle because it was believed this would increase the cow’s supply of milk.

In the Irish myth cycles, there is a tale that nine hazel nuts dropped into a sacred pool. A salmon came along in the pool and gobbled up the nuts, which then imbued him with wisdom. A variation of the story appears in the legend of Finn Mac Cumhail, who ate the salmon and then took on the knowledge and wisdom of the fish. Note that Mac Cumhail is often translated as Mac Coll.

Coll Correspondences

Mundane Aspects: Take advantage of your own artistry or creativity, and share your knowledge with others so they too can practice these arts. Lead by example, and teach those who wish to learn. Find inspiration for your creative gifts, whatever your talent may be.

Magical Aspects: Let the divine guide you in your creative journey. Speak to the gods through your art, and be rewarded with inspiration. If you’re stuck in a creative rut, call upon the Divine to send you a Muse.

Hexagram Forty-Eight/48

Ching / The Well

Deep Waters Penetrated and drawn to the surface:
The Superior Person refreshes the people with constant encouragement to help one another.

Encampments, settlements, walled cities, whole empires may rise and fall, yet the Well at the center endures, never drying to dust, never overflowing.
It served those before and will serve those after.
Again and again you may draw from the Well, but if the bucket breaks or the rope is too short there will be misfortune.

SITUATION ANALYSIS:

There is a Source common to us all.
Jung named it the Collective Unconscious.
Others hail it as God within.
Inside each of us are dreamlike symbols and archetypes, emotions and instincts that we share with every other human being.
When we feel a lonely separateness from others, it is not because this Well within has dried up, but because we have lost the means to reach its waters.
You need to reclaim the tools necessary to penetrate to the depths of your fellows.
Then the bonds you build will be as timeless and inexhaustible as the Well that nourishes them.

Seven

Positive qualities

The main strength of the Seven is the ability to think. Think for real. That is, they can set a question and then use logic, erudition and insight to find the answer.

In fact, quite a few are capable of doing such, which gives you a distinct advantage in most situations. It is quite natural that people regard you as a wise advisor.

Another positive quality is your inner tranquility. You can fire up and start yelling because of any trifle, but it is virtually impossible to bring you out of balance and make you lose your head.

Negative qualities

Clearly negative features of the Seven are their inherent cynicism, misanthropy, groundless suspicion and certain wildness in their behavior.

You do not care about what they think or say, so you do not give yourself trouble to show good manners, or even common courtesy. If you want to, you can “teach a lesson in etiquette” in such an insulting form that the other person will feel offended.

Moreover, you seize every moment to demonstrate your independence and unwillingness to be part of the crowd. So you will never become a darling of all hearts.

Muin

Pronunciation – M-win, Moon

Tree Association – Vine

Meaning – Goals are coming to fruition, persuasion, celebration, relaxing, harvesting, and play. Muin wonderfully symbolizes the metaphor of reaping what we’ve sown. Now is a time for pleasure, to rest, and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Vine produces grapes which creates wine that allows us to let go of self-conscience thoughts, allowing for creative inspiration, a relaxed altered consciousness, and revealing truths. It also represents deceit, fallacies, or denial of facts. Remember to continuously pursue the origin or source of any information you receive. Proceed with caution before acting on any facts or advice you’ve been given.

If reversed – a sign of extreme indulgence and serves as a reminder that outstanding achievements also require self-discipline. Watch for indications of dishonesty, misrepresentation, or tall tales.

Inscription and Magical Uses – Helpful when seeking creative inspiration, inner growth, seeking truth, spiritual wisdom, or for help with communication.

The Star – Major Arcana

The Star represents a strong connection to the Cosmos, an open gateway to understanding “the big picture.” It is an optimistic card that promises peace, harmony, and hope realized. For the full power of the forces behind The Star to be realized one must have faith and accept that in cosmic terms all things balance out; that disturbances are sometimes necessary to ensure overall harmony. The reward for such faith is vision on a Cosmic scale, and sense of well-being that may well radiate to those around you through your warm, untroubled heart.

Six

Positive qualities

The main virtue of the Six is true humanism and truly cordial attitude towards people. You can be a liquidator working for the government, or even a tax inspector, but, at the same time, stick to your ideas that human life is sacred, and the right of freedom of expression is undeniable.

Seriously, you are a really kind and sympathetic person capable of giving away your last possession to those who need it most. Your loved ones know that you are the person they can count on, always and everywhere.

Negative qualities

Weaknesses of the Six are, in most cases, their virtues that got out of control. Defending a friend, you can be cruel and merciless to an enemy. Your willingness to sacrifice your own interests for the sake of others may give rise to the desire for martyrdom, which is pride. The same is true about your confidence in the aptness of everything you are doing.

The latter can cause serious conflicts with the nearest and dearest. Ignoring all reasonable arguments, you can drive others crazy proving to them that you are interfering in their life and destroy their plans with the best of motives.

However, be aware that you can be negative yourself, so keep in mind that you are positive.

HARE

Although hares and rabbits look similar, they have very different symbolism. A hare is bigger than a rabbit, has longer ears, and possesses more powerful hind legs. The two most abundant kinds are the European Brown Hare and the Snowshoe Hare. The Snowshoe Hare is strongly linked to the Snowy Owl population, such that when hare populations are down, the owls stop breeding, and even die from starvation. The hare is more solitary and tougher than the rabbit. Hares don’t live in warrens or have maternity nests. The young hares are born so well-developed that they can fend for themselves within a few hours of their birth.

The hare is associated with a number of myths from many different cultures. The Algonquin tribe honored the Great Hare as a demiurge, a role in the creation of the world. The Egyptians also saw the hare involved in a creation story. For them, the hare came to mean procreation, and then immorality. While the hare is often associated with impatience and haste (like the “Tortoise and the Hare” fable), it’s important to note that other cultures, like the Goths, saw the hare as fleet and swift, and symbols of diligence. This reflects the attitudes of medieval hunters, who viewed hares as a challenge to catch.

Hare people are considered sensitive and artistic, and also linked with ambition, fitness, and virtue. However, the hare is not just associated with positive things. Hares are also thought of as greedy and selfish, even a bad example for people. Hare is seen as a jokester, linked with trickery and fraud. Even those with hare medicine are clever, often unreliable, and frequently thinking of themselves.

Although hare has some qualities that are less than redeeming, there are things he can teach us. Because they move in leaping and hopping motions, those with rabbit and hare totems can expect changes in their own lives in the same kind of movement. Hare can also aid people in recognizing the signs around them by attuning to lunar cycles and understanding the tides of movement in their own lives.

FIVE

The most vibrant, freedom-loving of all numbers in numerology

A DYNAMIC FORCE

The 5 is unpredictable, always in motion, and constantly in search of change.

Although it is molded from an almost equal mix of freedom-loving and loyal characteristics, the 5 is slightly more daring, and there is nothing submissive about it.

The 5 is extremely independent in mind and soul.

Many 5s choose careers that require travel or otherwise offer a regular change of environment. People working in the travel industry, small business owners, independent consultants, lawyers, and those in sales often have the 5 in their core numbers.

The 5 can adjust quickly to pretty much anything coming their way.

Perhaps the most dominating trait of the 5 is the uncompromising demand for freedom in thought and action.

On the negative side, the 5 can be selfish, thoughtless, and irresponsible.

7 of Pentacles – Minor Arcana

Upright meaning

In this card, we see a triangle in the center pointing upwards, framed by four pentagrams at the four corners, reaching the state of materialized spirituality and vice versa. The idea has applied to action and brought about money. This amount is used to fund research and search for information and to help people grow. This card evokes generosity, victorious sports performances, in-depth knowledge of the body, and cognitive-based physical strength. This could be a compassionate person, a patron, a genius businessman, or a global success of a company.

The 7 De Deniers shows that you have a strong desire to invest in things that will bring long-term benefits. You understand the importance of spending time and energy at the moment to reap the benefits in the longer term, and you are not necessarily looking for quick wins as such. You also want to focus your attention on the right areas that will allow you to get more for your money instead of wasting time on areas that…

Reversed meaning

The negative aspect focuses on the disconnection between body and soul, spiritual disdain and overestimation of material life, slavery, greed for money, multinational companies destroying the environment, drug organizations and pharmaceutical monopolies.

The 7 De Deniers in reverse tells that your efforts can be scattered right now, and you start wondering if you are investing in the right areas. You may bet for things that will not work. So, the opportunity here is to review your current and planned investments (cash and time investments) and make sure that you will receive a return. Let’s use a priority system to ensure that you do not waste time or money in areas that will bring little results.

Letter: E

Picture a tall tree that seems to tremble when blown by wind — that’s the quaking aspen. Like birch, aspen grows in groups, which brings to mind the comfort of being surrounded or power in numbers. Pulling this Ogham says that contemplating and respecting limits is the best strategy. For instance, when you are angry about something, allow yourself to fully admit and feel your rage, but bring down a limit when it comes to expressing rage. Honesty and analysis of your emotions, especially of anger, will transform anger into a tool for self-improvement instead of blind self-destruction.

Fear is another limiting force. An excess of fear can be crippling. When fear goes too far, the result is agoraphobia/severe anxiety…

Hexagram Twenty-Two/22

Name: Pi.

Keyphrase: Grace.

Formed By The Trigrams: Mountain over Fire.

General: Valuing beauty will enable you to cultivate your taste for harmony in all aspects of your life.

Love: Beauty is only skin deep – do not be taken in by superficial appearances. Look beneath the surface to see a person’s true character.

Business: If a business proposition looks too good to be true then it probably is. Make sure it’s exactly what it appears to be.

Personal: Enhance your inner beauty.

Overview: Pi is about observing natural grace and allowing that observation to inspire you to emulate it in life. Pi also is a warning not to be taken in by superficial beauty or appearance. Instead, make sure that what lies underneath the surface is more enduring. To neglect to do so may well lead to errors of judgment. Remember, the more enduring beauty is seen with the heart. Not with the eye.

Hexagram Twenty – 20

Kuan / Contemplation

The gentle Wind roams the Earth:
The Superior Person expands his sphere of influence as he expands his awareness.
Deeply devoted to his pursuit of clarity and wisdom, he is unconscious of the inspiring, positive example he is setting for others to emulate.

You have cleansed yourself; now stand ready to make your humble, devout offering.

SITUATION ANALYSIS:

The situation marks a rising to new heights.
As you climb for a better view of the panorama, you make yourself more conspicuous to those below.
This hexagram is also known as the Watchtower, because the shape formed by its lines resembles the ancient guardposts manned by Chinese soldiers.
These towers were placed on mountainsides to give a better vantage point.
To those below, the watchtowers served as landmarks to help them find their way.
The quality of your search for clarity in this situation serves as such a guidepost for others along the Way.

Three

Positive Qualities

The main strength of the Three is love of life and invincible optimism. It is almost impossible to make you doubt yourself or the importance of your role. Minor mishaps don’t count. You are sure that in the Fifth Act everything will fall into place, and the Ending will be incredible.

This carefree attitude is due to your expressiveness and artistry. Practical advice and comments like, “You can’t live like this!” cause your sincere puzzlement: “What else is life if not this?”

Negative Qualities

The weakness of the Three’s character is their tendency to become depressed whenever the Feast of Life stops for even a moment. It usually occurs in cases when the lack of attention and interaction take place.

Your selfishness makes you demand recognition and expressions of interest from anyone who contacts you in any way. As soon as the familiar ritual is broken – say, someone forgot to call you, or was reluctant to respond to your request – you immediately come to the conclusion that the world is falling apart, and your life is over.

Positive qualities

The positive qualities of the Four could be described as purely men’s virtues if thousands of women didn’t have them. This is high endurance, exceptional working ability, personal organization, commitment to principles and equanimity. You are firm in your beliefs, most important of which is that nothing in this world comes for free, and any reward is to be deserved.

That’s why people of your kind are the foundation of any society. They know what to do and can implement it in practice. There is nothing heroic in your manifestations, but all your life is a feat. As a consequence, only few admire you, but everyone respects you.

Negative qualities

When someone wants to point out the Four’s weakness, they first mention their stubbornness, slowness and tediousness. From a certain point of view, so it is: you always take your time not to make mistakes, and you’ll hold your ground up to the end without losing a chance to rub your opponent’s nose in their errors.

Moreover, you never hide your skeptical attitude towards rattle heads, shallow and irresponsible people. Therefore, you are often accused of being too suspicious, and your zero-tolerance of idleness and unwillingness to waste time on idle pleasures gives others a reason to consider you sullen and hard-grained.

Hexagram Twenty – Five/25

Wu Wang / Remaining Blameless

Thunder rolls beneath Heaven, as is its nature and place:
Sage rulers aligned themselves with the changing seasons, nurturing and guiding their subjects to do the same.

Exceptional Progress if you are mindful to keep out of the way of the natural Flow.
It would be a fatal error to try to alter its course.
This is a time of Being, not Doing.

SITUATION ANALYSIS:

This is thoroughly a matter of the heart.
If everything you attempt, no matter how carefully planned, ends in disarray, then examine your motives.
They are the cause of your predicament.
It isn’t that your motives aren’t pure — even the best intentions will fail under these circumstances.
What stymies you in this situation is that you have a motive at all.
Free yourself of all expectations, release any tenuous grip you may have, and roll with it.
This is totally out of your control.
There are higher powers and more elements affecting the outcome of this situation than you can imagine.
Get out of their way.

7 of Swords – Minor Arcana

Bad Feelings; snooping

A man is carrying away seven swords from an open chest just behind him. The lock on the chest is broken, so he is stealing what is not his. On a shelf above the chest, two tiny Fire dragons are screaming in anger. The little dragons try to warn him, but he refuses to listen. The thief has forced open the perilous box of universal, magickal knowledge within his subconscious mind and thinks to steal away with the power (swords) he found within. Only an initiate, who has studied and brought balance to all areas of his life, is given the key to open this perilous chest of wisdom and power. The thief has found a shortcut to gain what he wants without the work or dedication. He believes he is above the Law and will not suffer karmic consequences. However, he is wrong, for the Law will always be balanced, regardless of human desires to the contrary.

Divination Meaning: You are creating trouble through the wrong use of personal power. Failure of a plan may come about because of wrong motives. Do not snoop into the affairs of another; you will get burned. You feel cheated or wronged.

(One Person’s View) The Runes and The Elemental Links

Most people with even a smattering of knowledge of astrology will be aware of the elements of earth,
air, fire and water, and that three zodiac signs fit into each element. It should come as no surprise,
therefore, to learn that a rune also corresponds to each element.

What follows here are the most widely accepted linkages between the elements and four of the runes.
Also given are other runes which are said to link in with the element being discussed.

Earth

The element of earth is concerned with solid foundations, and with keeping in touch with reality. It
may be interesting to learn that Eihwaz, an earth rune, is sometimes called ‘the Rune of Death’ because
of the poisonous qualities of the yew tree with which it is associated.

Also associated with the earth element are Uruz, Wunjo, Berkana, Othila, Isa (which can also link
with the water element, ice being frozen water) and Jera. Isa, Eihwaz and Jera are also said to link
with the New Moon.

Water

Kaunaz is, surprisingly, a water rune. It relates to bonfires, but does not equate to the element of fire.
To the Vikings, bonfires were a physical light in the darkness, as well as symbolising inner knowledge
or enlightenment. It relates to emotions and intuition, and therefore its element is water. Some
runemasters will disagree here, preferring to keep Kaunaz with its symbol of fire.

Also associated with the water element are Perth, Lagu, Ing, Raido and Gebo. Hagalaz has
connections with ice, and so also correctly belongs with this element. Kaunaz, Raido and Gebo are
said to link with the waning of the moon. Gebo and Raido also link with the element of air.

Air

Ansuz, an air rune has a strong connection with Odin, who was considered to have discovered the
runes in the root of the Tree of the World, and as such has a link with the ash tree. He was also
considered to be the source of knowledge and inspiration and it therefore follows that Odin should be
described as the source of language, and the runes as a form of communication.

Ansuz relates to the element of air, to divine breath, to thought and to the power of the intellect.
Also associated with the element of air are Teiwaz, Berkana (which also links to earth having a
duality in element) and Ehwaz, which also link with the waxing of the moon. Algiz is also said to link
with the air element, as do Sowelu and Mannaz.

It should be noted that some runemasters suggest that Ansuz is more correctly linked with fire and
water rather than air.

Fire

Dagaz is a fire rune, and represents day, breakthrough. It is associated, too, with the dawn of the
world, since the earth was born in flames. Dagaz is considered to be the illuminator, the light, and as
such cannot be destroyed. It is the guardian by the doorway, a protective force against anything
harmful. Dagaz is another case of elemental duality, associated both with fire and air.

Also associated with the element of fire are Othila and Fehu, which also link with the full moon, and
with the element of earth – again, being dual in elemental nature. Thurisaz, Nauthiz and Eihwaz are
also said to link with fire, but it is worth noting that many runemasters consider Eihwaz as belonging

One Way of Reading Druid Ogham

What is Ogham?

Ogham is a divination system like Tarot cards or runes that is also a system of writing used by the ancient Celts known as Druids.  Ogham letters (also called Fews) are made up of simple lines that can be inscribed on any convenient surface.  They are read from the bottom up.

Each Ogham letter stands for a type of tree, and the characteristics of that tree (prickly like holly, flexible like willow) grant the Ogham its insights into human nature. Just as each Tarot card should be studied for its individual meaning and its relationship to other cards, Ogham were meant to be studied one by one. This website is the product of my own discursive meditations with Ogham.

Individual Ogham letters are often engraved on sticks or printed on cards in order to use them for divination. To read Ogham as one would read Tarot cards or runes, any number of spreads can be utilized from asking a simple yes or no question where you pull a single Ogham stick/card to complex interpretations of a dozen Oghams thrown on a table or on the ground reveal the future depending on the angles at which they fall. I personally prefer a simple three Ogham reading. I do it every day sometime in the morning. In my mind or out loud, I ask the Ogham: “What do I need to know in order to make the best out of today?” and then reach my hand into the box where I keep my Ogham tiles. Then I pick three of them and lay them side by side.

Ngetal

Healing, cleaning, cleansing, catharsis, paring down

Tree: Broom (Cytisus spp.)

Letter: Ng

Like when a fever breaks, broom signifies the end of a struggle and the subsequent ability to clear out the junk to make way for a newer, more positive approach. Walking a way from a bad habit or situation can be painful, but not necessarily so. It may also be gradual. Overall, Ngetal is the importance of getting rid of old junk and baggage (this could be actual clutter or psychological baggage, which of course are intimately linked) or it could mean the resolution of action against someone who has wronged you, whether it is forgiveness or cutting and clearing them out of your life. If it is forgiveness, Ngetal suggests it is coming from a genuine place of inner peace. Apologizing does not necessarily make you an apologist.

There is a process of analysis and reflection that eventually distances anger and enables you to feel it without being puppeted by it. Letting go of attachments that aren’t healthy, for instance, an obsession with being liked for the way you look, will help you develop in ways that fulfill your purpose in this life. Ngetal could signify you are beginning to release anxieties about what you have no control over, which will go a long way in healing your spirit.

Questions when you draw Ngetal:
-What bad habits do I have that I’d like to get rid of within the next year?
-Should I wholly forgive a person who is doing me wrong right now, cut them out of my life, or figure out a strategy that is somewhere in-between?

Wicca and Witchcraft – Witch’s Runes

Most Witches are aware that runes can be used for divination. Most practitioners have seen or used the well known Futhark (or Viking) runes, but did you know that there is actually a set of eight pictgraphic runes solely for use by Witches?

The Witch’s runes consist of eight pictographic stones: The Sun, moon, crossed spears, black rune, wave, ear of corn, rings and the birds.

Many Witches use both the Witch’s runes and the Futhark runes when divination is called for. To use the Witch’s Runes for divination purposes the runes are cast in the manner of dice, casting all of them at once.

New perspectives.

In perfect harmony, three dragons coil and turn through the skies, weaving strands of spiritual energy with their claws. The sky itself holds repeating patterns of spirals, symbolizing the primal matter of creation-destruction that is all around us. One dragon is blue; another is shades of red; the third , shades of green. Red symbolizes vibrant life energies and sexual drive; green the productiveness of the mind; blue, the watery instability of emotion. All these must be twined together in equal parts in order to temper and modify life experiences, so that what is out of balance (intemperate) can be corrected. An elongated, golden lemniscate (a figure eight) of eternal life twine through the spinning circle of dragons, representing that a balanced life cannot exist without the important element of spirit.

Divinatory Meaning: This card may presage a period of creative inspiration, or a time of harmony and peacefulness. Self-control and inner guidance will get you through difficulties. A trip gives you a new perspective on an old issue. You need to atapt to new circumstances.

Tinne/Teine

T stands for Tinne, or Teine, the Holly tree. This evergreen plant is connected to immortality, unity, courage, and the stability of hearth and home. Pronounced chihnn-uh by the Celts, the wood of the Holly was often used in the construction of weapons, and is known as a plant of warriors and protectors.

In the pre-Christian British Isles, the Holly was often associated with protection–planting a hedge around your home would keep malevolent spirits out, thanks in no small part to the sharp spikes on the leaves. In Celtic myth, the concept of the Holly King and the Oak King symbolizes the changing of the seasons, and the transition of the earth from the growing time to the dying season.

When Christianity moved into the Celtic lands, the new religion associated the Holly plant with the story of Jesus. The poky spikes on the leaves represent the crown of thorns worn by Jesus on the cross, and the bright red berries symbolize his blood.

Tinne Correspondences

Mundane Aspects: Hang a sprig of Holly in your home to protect your family in your absence. Soak the leaves in spring water under a full moon, and then use the water as a blessing for people or items you wish to protect. There is strength to be found in standing together, and ultimately protection comes from honor and trust.

Magical Aspects: Develop the ability to respond quickly and wisely to your intuition. Learn to overcome and adapt to new situations, and to respond immediately to changes in your spiritual environment. Trust your instinct, but don’t let your heart rule over your head.

Queen of Pentacles – Minor Arcana Court Card

Traditionally, representing the energy of a Queen, this feminine guardian is endowed with enormous good sense and problem solving energy, but she is not particularly entrepreneurial. She loves to advise, encourage, and empower those she gets involved with, studying their problems with them and setting them up to solve them. Traditionally, she was pictured as the Sibyl or Oracle, perhaps a Tarot reader, who made herself available to people in need, no matter what their social class or situation. In modern times, she will be found educating, healing, managing disaster aid programs or a charitable drive of some sort.
In every case, she does not see the benefits that exist in her life as belonging solely to her. She feels the needs of her people and will spend freely of her time, energy, skills, money to see that nobody is left out. For this, and because she likes to work in an atmosphere of beauty, enjoyment and abundance, she is sometimes accused of being extravagant. But she works hard, and she sees no reason to deny herself the rewards of a job well done. Everyone who comes in contact with her feels enriched by her enjoyment in living.

Hexagram Forty/40

Hsieh / Liberation

A Thunderous Cloudburst shatters the oppressive humidity:
The Superior Person knows the release in forgiveness, pardoning the faults of others and dealing gently with those who sin against him.

It pays to accept things as they are for now.
If there is nothing else to be gained, a return brings good fortune.
If there is something yet to be gained, act on it at once.

SITUATION ANALYSIS:

The relief you experience here is not your own personal pardon, but the release of others from your rigid expectations.
Like a hot air balloon, you will rise to new heights as you cast the heavy sandbags of resentments and restrictions away from you.
Feel the lightness of being that results from forgiving others and accepting them as they are.
Free yourself of the endless vigil of policing the behavior of others.
See them for who they are, not what they can or can’t do for you.

Queen of Rainbows – Flowering – Major Arcana

The Explanation of Queen of Rainbows Osho Zen Tarot

The Queen of Rainbows Osho Zen looks like an imaginary tree that is at its peak of flowering and freshness. She is very erotic, lively, and full of surprises. She snapped her fingers to the music of love, the zodiac necklace was cleverly placed so that the Venus symbol would be at her heart. Her sleeves contain lots of seeds, and when the wind blows through, the seeds will be scattered to take root where they may. She didn’t care whether they land on the soil or on the rocks – she just scattered them everywhere while enjoying life and love. Flowers fall on her from above, in harmony with her own flowering, and the stream of emotions swirled mischievously beneath the flower on which she sits.

You can feel blessings from everywhere like being in a flower garden at the moment. Welcome the bees and invite the birds to drink your nectar. Spread your joy around for all to share.

The Energy of Queen of Rainbows Osho Zen Tarot Based on Osho’s Teachings

Zen wants you living, living in abundance, living in totality, living intensely – not at the minimum as Christianity wants you, but at the maximum, overflowing. Your life should reach to others. Your blissfulness, your benediction, your ecstasy should not be contained within you like a seed. It should open like a flower and spread its fragrance to all and sundry – not only to the friends but to the strangers too.  This is real compassion, this is real love: sharing your enlightenment, sharing your dance of the beyond.

Mor

Change, shift, the sea, maps, realm of the subconscious, great undercurrents

Tree: Witch hazel (Hamamelis spp.)

Letter: X

“Sea change” is a term for profound or holistic change. Change is the foundation of existence. The interplay of opposing forces creates and destroys ad infinitum. Mor bookends the concept of change introduced by the first Ogham, Beith. The intention that sowed an action reaped a habit, the habit reaped a character, and the character reaped a destiny. The new track in space has been laid and change is inevitable.

When you draw Mor, look for the changes in and around you. These are not necessarily good or bad. Often, drawing this Ogham can mean something as basic as “oh look, the season of Spring is arriving”. Mor doesn’t have to indicate any kind of drama, although it could. Mor calls out to you to look at overarching influences, new factors or people, and to examine the permutations and possibilities of how they affect the environment.

Mor is a bird’s eye view of opposing forces in our lives rather than being upswept by the random forces that weave in and out of our daily existences. Understanding your own subconscious gives you the ability to calmly deal with challenges that come your way. The work you do on understanding yourself is the sails you build on your boat in the great sea of life. You still need to figure out which way the wind is blowing, of course, but knowing a thing or two about your own position, your tendencies, desires, faults, and strengths will give you the power you need to dodge rocks and survive storms.

Hexagram Seventeen/17

Sui / Following

Thunder beneath the Lake’s surface.
The Superior Person allows himself plenty of sheltered rest and recuperation while awaiting a clear sign to follow.

Supreme success.
No mistakes if you keep to your course.

SITUATION ANALYSIS:

Thunder from the Lake — the lulling, rhythmic roar of the faithful tide, eternally wearing away the stone of the shoreline, forever obedient to the phases of the moon.
The pull of the moon on the tide is the Following called for now.
As mighty as the tide is in its own right, it is ever the puppet of the invisible, irresistible gravity of the moon.
What cyclical forces pull you along?
Are you futilely attempting to resist a natural attraction?

Seventeen

It is spiritual growth, faith, and balance. It is also wealth or bankruptcy. It is an inner struggle to remain true to spiritual and moral values, while at the same time dedicating itself to the material world – one of the most conflicting numbers.

Four of Water

The explanation of Four of Water Osho Zen Tarot

The woman in Four of Water Osho Zen Tarot is showing a soft smile on her face. In fact, she was just observing what the mind was doing; not judging, not trying to stop nor analyzing them. She only saw them as passersby, like a ripple on the lake. And the antics of the mind are always hilarious, they keep jumping up and down, twisting in many ways, trying to attract attention and entice us into the game.

Being able to develop abilities in creating a distance from the mind is one of the great favors. Those are the things we do when we meditate, chant, or repeat an affirmation, but we only look at it, as if they belong to someone else’s mind. Right now, you are ready to create this distance, to watch the show without getting caught up in the drama. Let’s immerse yourself in the simple freedom of Turning In whenever possible and knack of meditation will develop and deepen in you.

The energy of Four of Water Osho Zen Tarot based on Osho’s teachings

Turning inwards is not a turning at all. Going inwards is not a going at all. Turning inwards simply means that you have been running after this desire and that, and you have been running and running and you have been coming again and again to frustration.

That each desire brings misery, that there is no fulfillment through desire. That you never reach anywhere, that contentment is impossible.

Seeing this truth, that running after desires takes you nowhere, you stop. Not that you make any effort to stop. If you make any effort to stop it is again running, in a subtle way. You are still desiring–maybe now it is desirelessness that you desire. If you are making an effort to go in, you are still going out. Any effort can only take you out, outwards.

All journeys are outward journeys, there is no inward journey. How can you journey inwards? You are already there, there is no point in going. When going stops, journeying disappears; when desiring is no more clouding your mind, you are in. This is called turning in. But it is not a turning at all, it is simply not going out.

Hexagram 61

Chung Fu / Inner Truth

The gentle Wind ripples the Lake’s surface:
The Superior Person finds common ground between points of contention, wearing away rigid perspectives that would lead to fatal error.

Pigs and fishes.
You may cross to the far shore.
Great fortune if you stay on course.

SITUATION ANALYSIS:

The subject of this hexagram discovers a key to Tranquility by first gaining insight into his own nature, then turning that vision outward.
By resolving inner conflicts and being at peace with himself, he learns to gain insight into others.
In effect, he enters another, sees with the other’s eyes, listens with the other’s ears, feels with the other’s heart.
He then returns to his own center, with new perspective and understanding.
