Special Kitties of the Day for March 21

Mr. Tinkles, Garfield, the Cat of the Day
Name: Mr. Tinkles, Garfield
Age: One and a half years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Persian, Exotic short hair
Home: Burbank, California, USA
Ihave two beautiful kittens. Well, not kittens anymore, but for me they are! Here are some of their pictures and I hope you enjoy. They are one and a half years old brothers from the same littler. One is a completely white from head to tail, and the other one is an Orange persian. Garfield is the Orange and Mr. Tinkles (who got his name from the movie “Cats and Dogs”) is white.

Even though they are brothers, the sure have different personalities. Garfield is more outgoing and more friendly! More a people’s cat and according to himself the king! of the house.

The other one is more shy and not so much a people’s cat. Only with my partner is he not shy. Both cats are sweet boys and we just love them to death.

Mr. Tinkles, the white cat, is shy with other people except with us. He’s a sweet loving cat and loves to play with stick that has a feather. He always tries to take it with him and hide it. He also loves playing with the sheets and he has a weird way of drinking water. He likes to lay on the floor and drink it while kicking the water container. He loves to pay with his brother Garfield and he loves to sleep during the day in my underwear drawer. He is a big jumper and can jump really high if he wants too.

Garfield is the orange one, and is more energetic, extremely playful and he thinks he is the king of the house. He loves to run around the house with his brother. He loves getting pampered and loves getting into closets and boxes. He’s a loving cat and every time I get home. he’s waiting for me. He also loves to pose for pictures and he knows it when people take pictures of him. He loves to play with the stick and the feather thing, they both goes nuts over that.

As you see even though they are brothers, they sure have different personalities but one thing is certain. They love each other and I don’t think they can ever be apart from each other and US!

Doggie of the Day for Wednesday, March 21

Mollie, the Dog of the Day
Name: Mollie
Age: Eight years old
Gender: Female Breed: Akita
Home: Coupeville, Washington, USA
This is Mollie. She is a sweet and loyal dog. Mollie is always glad to see me and she has both dog and cat friends. When she’s not out hiking in the woods, she works out at Whidbey General Hospital in cardiac rehab (okay, she only sat on the non-moving treadmill for for a photo op. I have a friend that works there).

She’s been to the Canine College and knows how to speak, sit, stay, come, lie down, shake, and roll over. When she gets really excited she will run in circles and/or howl. She likes to bite fish oil caps and eat cheese. When she’s excited she gives you little nips. Mollie is 8 years old but has a youthful appearance.

She lets me check her ears for infection and she likes to hold my hand with her mouth. Mollie is very personable and will work the crowd whenever she can.

Hello World! It’s Wednesday Again! Wishing You A Very Wondrous Day, dear friends!

Spring Images, Pics, Comments, Graphics, Photos
Good morning/afternoon, dear ones! I hope you are having a fantastic day so far. I am in a very good mood today! Spring is in the Air, It is a Beautiful Day and this idiot with a blocked phone number keeps calling, lol! I keep answering it and the connection is so bad you can’t hear anything at all. Most of the time, I don’t answer blocked phone numbers. I use to get a lot of breathers that had blocked phone numbers and that will definitely quit making you answer the phone. I never figured out what the joy was in calling someone and breathing anyway. I wasn’t for sure if I was supposed to get something out of it or the person breathing was. So to sit matters straight, I put a small hex on the breather and now no more breather, lmao! I don’t know if the poor person swallowed their tongue or not and I really don’t care. But I have more important things to do than answer the phone and hear that crap. My husband has always said it was my fault because I leave the blinds up at night sometimes. But heck, I live out in the boonies. Who is going to be looking in, the bears? If these bears know how to use the phone, I am moving, lol! That’s it, period! No more boonies for me, lol! See I told you I was in a good mood.

I hope you all have a fabulous day and remember it is only two more days to the weekend!

Love ya,

Lady A

Special Kitty of the Day for Spring Equinox!

Za'rour, the Cat of the Day
Name: Za’rour
Age: Eight months old
Gender: Male
Kind: Orange Tabby
Home: Damascus, Syria
Hi there, my name is Za’rour and my name is Arabic for “Hawthorn.” When I first heard this name I told myself “what kind of name is that???” then I understood that the sound of my name is similar to the Arabic translation for “Mischievous.” Still, I do not know how my parents chose this name, I mean I am so kind and gentle, my voice is hardly heard too, and I do not disturb them at all, unlike my cat-friend who keeps nagging and running around the house. Humans are strange.

Anyways, let me tell you more about me, I remember being so skinny and weak before, but now I am so fluffy, healthy and handsome. I also remember having a family of four cute sisters but now all I care about is my human family, especially mommy who loves me so much to the extent that she is ready to wake up when I do just to play and cuddle with me, although she works so much and she’s most of the time tired, I really appreciate that.

I also love the fact that she always gives me treats when I behave, and man those Salmon treats are sooo delicious.

In a nutshell, I live a life that most of other cats would envy, I am pampered, taken-care of – although I hate the bathing and nail-clipping part of the care I get – and I would never think of leaving this wonderful family I have.

Ah, What A Special Little Lad Decked Out In His Irish Finery!

Cyrus, the Cat of the Day
Name: Cyrus
Age: Two years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Domestic Medium, Long Hair
Home: Mexico
Cyrus came as a stray… and from day one it was like if he’d lived here all along. He got along totally awesomely with adults, kids and even dogs… small ones anyway, and was a total dream cat.

He appeared one day out of nowhere, and I felt sad and fed him once, well… I guess he liked it and stayed. He was an outside cat, by his own insistence, and often times I had to go look for him, only to find him in the next block in the house in the exact location as ours… I guess he “almost” got it right, just missed by a block!

Such a sweet kitty… as you can see by the picture, he didn’t even mind the hat one bit! He seems happy at his new home, so I did not try to convince him to come back to mine. I have two Huskies who are not exactly ‘cat-friendly’ but at his new home he is fed and loved. As he picked my house in the first place when he was a stray, I couldn’t feel too possessive when he decided to move in on the next block. He is such a friendly cat that he charmed them at once, and is well loved there. And as you can see, he is a very cute Leprecat, a good tempered kitty, and wishes everyone a Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!

March 15 – Daily Feast

March 15 – Daily Feast

Why judge yourself by what someone else is saying? They only know what they think. Can we fit our lives into the narrow confines of theirs? We can search our own souls. And most likely, we will find that we have connections uniquely our own – deeper in many ways than those with whom we would like to be in accord. But there’s no way we can whip ourselves into being like someone else. We can only make ourselves better. Regardless of how we have been conditioned to think, we know right from wrong. It is innate and speaks loud enough that if we want to hear it, we will. The only thing that keeps us from hearing is the clamor of voices outside ourselves – and they have no other purpose but to destroy. Don’t dally with trouble. Refuse to be a part of anything you would not look at in the light.

Precious Pup of the Day for March 15th

Freya, the Dog of the Day
Name: Freya
Age: Six years old
Gender: Female Breed: American Eskimo Dog
Home: Valley Stream, New York, USA
I was mourning the loss of my dog (an American Eskimo – fourteen years old) for two weeks six year ago, when my friends bought me a three-month-old dog, Freya. She is so good with me and stays by my side all day. I am home every day because of my disability. She helps me to get through the days. I love her.

Freya is extremely affectionate. When I don’t feel well, she sense it and will curl up next to me and stroke me with her paw. She is so intuitive. I have problems with my legs and she will lay next to me and lick my legs. When she is happy to see someone she doesn’t bark she “croons” in such a way to say “I’m happy to see you!” Freya isn’t much of a trick girl. She is all about family. She loves to push her toys across the floor with her nose and then pops it in the air with her nose. She makes us smile every day!

Today’s Affirmation for March 15th

I am determined to live the full breadth of life’s road as well as its length. There may be important things nestling in the hedgerows or lying neglected on the verge.

Today’s Thought for March 15th

Once we have found the true path, destiny unfolds before us like a red carpet.

Today’s Meditation for March 15th

Conversations with Destiny

Communicating with a future self can calm the anxieties we experience in the face of the unknown. Close your eyes and imagine that standing before you is an eighty-year-old, who looks strangely like you. Encouraged by the reassuring look in their eyes, you introduce yourself. They tell you that they are the embodiment of your destiny. You converse with them, asking for advice about your life’s direction. After the conversation your future self hugs you, whispering words of encouragement into your ear before slipping into the distance. Comforted by their words, you walk forward into your future with greater confidence and trust.

Good Glorious Tuesday Morning to all my dear Friends!

Today’s Affirmation for March 13th

No one outside myself can rule me inwardly. Knowing this I become wholly free.

Today’s Thought for March 13th

“Sow an act, and you reap a habit. Sow a habit, and you reap a character. Sow a character, and you reap a destiny.”

Today’s Meditation for March 13th

A Game of Chess

When faced with difficult choices, view the situation as if it was a game of chess. Imagine those involved as pieces on the chess board. Assume the role of one of the players and meditate on the current state of play. From this position the dynamics of the situation may become clearer, enabling you to see the options open to you and to make a wiser choice.

Ok, Who Sent In Their Familiar’s Pic, lol? Special Kitty of the Day for March 11th

Morli, the Cat of the Day
Name: Morli
Age: Four years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Domestic Cat
Home: Glauchau, Germany
This is my cat Morli. She is a beautiful domestic cat. Her fur color is black, with some white hairs. She loves to cuddle. Most of the time, she is with me on the sofa. Morli is a very shy cat. In summer she catches mice and birds often, and is a good hunter in our garden. She is afraid of other animals, though, very afraid. She likes to sharpen her claws, but always does it on a tree. Morli is very clean and grooms often. She loves to sleep in her basket in the basement, when I am not home to be on the sofa with her. I love Morli.

Calendar of the Moon for March 11th

Calendar of the Moon
11 Nion/Anthesterion

Anthesteria Day 1: Pithogia

Color: Purple
Element: Earth
Altar: On a purple cloth set a bottle of wine that has not yet been opened (preferably last year’s homemade), a chalice of water, many cups, a wreath of pruned grapevines, and three purple candles. All should enter the sanctuary bearing the model of a Greek ship with purple sails, entwined with grapevines, which should be carried with all ceremony to the altar and set thereon.
Offerings: Libations of wine to Dionysos. Opening yourself to experiencing Him.
Daily Meal: Goat or lamb. Lentils. Greek food. Wine.

Pithogia Invocation:

Behold the ship of Dionysos!
He sails into each safe harbor
Like a wind of change that cannot be denied.
Be warned, you who have become
Too comfortable, for he will cast up
Your safe life and show you
All the thorns you have pretended not to see.
Honor the god of the Lesser Madness
Lest the Greater Madness swallow you whole!
Taste his gift and wonder, that raw juice
Left to age can slowly ferment
And turn into that which gives delight
And terror both.
Tremble, for he is coming for you!
Whether you drink his gift
Or give it back to him,
It matters not; your days of
Blind unquestioning comfort
Are numbered none, and end today.

(Each comes forward and selects a cup, into which is poured equal parts water and wine. Each may taste of the wine, if they wish, and then pour out the rest as a libation, or they may pour it out entirely. As the pour the libation, each says, “Io Dionysos!” The ship remains in the sanctuary for three days, until Anthesteria is over.)

Chant:
Flower of the vine
King of the wine
Dancer in the soul
We gladly pay your toll

Special Kitty of the Day for March 10th

Zazou, the Cat of the Day
Name: Zazou
Age: Seven years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Tuxedo Longhair
Home: Belgium
This is our beauty, our tuxie Zazou!! Two years after we got out cat Inka, we realized that our house and our hearts were big enough for another cat!

We went to a cat shelter where we found Zazou! She was not beautiful at all then, since she had just had kittens, was malnourished and covered with fleas. The shelter owner told us she had been delivered to the door of the shelter in a closed icebox, together with her kittens. Luckily the dog of the house heard this, or every cat in the box would have died! Zazou, sadly, was the only survivor.

We chose her because as soon I sat down on a chair which stood in the middle of the cat place, she jumped on my lap and started purring! I have no idea how we came on her name, it just popped in our mind and we loved it right away! Zazou is a very sweet and friendly cat! She gets along with all three other cats we have! At first she was allowed to play in the garden, just her sisters. But we saw she always ran right to our backyard neighbor’s, and would go in the stables. That neighbor is a mean man, because once, even after more than a week, he never told us he had locked up our cat in there. Only after he accused her of damaging the oldtimer cars which were also there, did he call us to come and get her. After this scenario happened twice, we didn’t allow her outside anymore for her own safety. Together with our Snoopy she is now a happy indoor cat.

Zazou loves wet food and loves playing with little fake fur mice; but she is sooo lazy! She wants the mice to come to her instead of chasing them! She is very shy towards others, especially loud people, but once she trusts you, she is the sweetest cat you’ll ever know!

March 8 – Daily Feast

Nature has her indecisive moments. A ma ga nu go gv, the season when new life springs up, may come early with its wildflowers and blossoming trees. She is known for her adolescent behavior, all smiles and flowers in her hair, only to be in tears in a few minutes. We think, this is it, we will never change our opinion. No, we will not be moved, we will cling to this one idea and time cannot erode any part of it. There can be no parting with this idea, nothing and no one can make us think differently. Spring may hint that she is here – so we can relax. But she is never adamant that she will not change. It is only the human being that claims such powers. But the power that keeps us moving and changing and becoming better is not our power but Galun lati.

The Most Laid Back Doggie of the “YEAR” for March 8th

Tyson, the Dog of the Day
Name: Tyson
Age: Four years old
Gender: Male Breed: Golden Retriever
Home: Delaware, USA
Our dog Tyson is a big boy, he weighs 120 pounds! Some people think he is half horse. He acts like the biggest baby, though. He came into our home to join our female golden and they are great friends now. We know he does need to lose some weight, but in general he is a very large-boned dog for his breed!

Tyson loves carrying bones around; he can’t go in or out of the house without his bone. He loves attention and can’t stand it when he’s not getting any. He is such a wonderful dog with a great personality. He has brought so much joy into our home.

He loves to come and put his head on your lap and his paw on your leg. He does know how to ‘shake’ especially if you have a treat for him. If he gets mad at us he gives us ‘dirty looks’, He has a stubborn personality sometimes. He is also very playful with his sister, our other golden retriever Dixie. He really enjoys going to the dog park, too. His sense of smell is incredible! We love him so much and are so happy that he came into our lives.

Daily Motivator for March 7th – Grab the opportunity

Grab the opportunity

The problems will only get bigger if you run from them or hide from them. The way to truly make a problem go away is to work through it.

By acknowledging that there’s a problem, you express an initial degree of confidence in your ability to handle it. By digging in and going to work on the problem, you set success in motion.

You don’t want to obsess over the problems, but you don’t want to ignore them either. The best approach is a realistic, confident, active approach.

In each problem there is real opportunity for the creation of meaningful value. So it just makes sense to be eager and enthusiastic and positive about bringing that value to life.

When you deal with difficult problems you must make difficult and painful choices. Yet as painful as those choices may be, ignoring the problem will eventually lead to much, much more pain.

When you spot a problem, get quickly, confidently and effectively out in front of it, and do what you do best. Grab the opportunity that’s in the problem, and be the one who brings that opportunity to life.

— Ralph Marston

March 6 – Daily Feast

March 6 – Daily Feast

Remember when you do anything, there will be someone that will find fault, no matter what you do. The pleasure of an unhappy person is to find something wrong in others to salve his own discontent. The Cherokees believe that tests sharpen their wit and help them a s qua dv, win or triumph over opposite powers. It would be beneath them to accept criticism as something they must overcome. The Cherokees flick it off like to is, pesky mosquitos. We all try to understand our differences of opinion, to care what effect we cause in other people. But the bane of anyone’s existence is ignorance – our own. We want more than anything to correct what we know is wrong. And what we find wrong in others may be a reflection of our own wrongs.

Kozy Kitten of the Day for March 6th

Chuck, the Cat of the Day
Name: Chuck
Age: Five years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Orange Tabby
Home: Gloversville, New York, USA
This is Chuck. He loves sleeping in high places, and also trying to eat my food. He shares his home with his two sisters Inky and Flower, so he is outnumbered by the girls! He is five years old and is an orange tabby. He loves to chase his sisters around and follow my boyfriend and I like he’s our shadow. He is very friendly and loves people. He greets you at the door when you get home and walks us to the door when we go to leave. He loves to drink from the sink, until his sisters realize what he is doing and they push him out of the way. When he’s not following us around, he likes to hang out on top of my boyfriend’s bookcase.

He loves to play in bags and boxes and we cut holes in the boxes because he likes to stick his paw through the hole to attack his sisters!!! He is the sweetest cat ever!
