Your Animal Spirit for December 2nd is the Cougar

Your Animal Spirit for Today

Cougar

Cougar has long been associated with leadership. Cougars are powerful, agile, and unhesitating. When Cougar attacks, he throws one hundred percent of himself into the pursuit. Although cougar is strong, he is also elusive —hard to spot in the wild—until he decides to pounce. His lesson to you today is one of being a balanced leader—not rushing into the attack, not always lurking in the brush.

Thank You Goddess For The Many Blessings You Have Given Us!

The most precious gift a person can ever be given is their family. I am very happy to report that my family in Illinois is fine. They have no home left but they did make it to a shelter in time and are fine. The  house they can rebuild but those precious children they cannot replace.

I want to thank you for all your concerns, blessings and prayers. It meant the world to me to see all of them this morning. The people in Brookport need our prayers and support. I cannot begin to tell you what it is like to see a once proud individual walking around just like a little lost pup. No expression, no color, just a blank lost look on his or her face. Everything they had is gone. I have been in two tornadoes myself but nothing like these people have experienced. I never lost any personal belongings or anything I could never replace. I can’t imagine having to start rebuilding my life over. The human spirit will prevail. With the help of the Goddess, they shall rise again like the mighty Phoenix. Humans are very resilient creatures as well as resourceful.

Oh, before I go, I live about three or four miles away from a plant where they use to enrich uranium. On the news last night, they finally said that the tornado had done damage to that plant “BUT”…….there was no radioactivity leaking from the building. That would have been great, seriously, I could have saved like crazy on my light bill. I would glow in the dark! Might as well laugh as cry about it.

Thank you again for being my friends and family.

I hope you have a very blessed day,

Luv & Hugs,

Lady A

I Am Sorry, I Hope You Can Understand.

Sorry Comments
I am sorry but I cannot do my job the way I am suppose too.  I have some family members that live in Brookport, Illinois. They are my cousin’s son, his family and two small babies. I can’t seem to get a hold of anyone. So I am going to drive out to my cousin’s house to see if they are all right. At least, this will ease my mind. I promise we will be back tomorrow in full force and delivering the quality of information you have come to expect from us. Till then…. Goddess Bless You & Keep You,Lady A

Good Afternoon, My Dear, Sweet Family!

Tornado Touched Down with winds of 145 mph killing 3 in Brookport, Illinois

It is so wonderful to be back online with you, my family. The last time I talked to you, I ended our conversation by saying, “The Tornado Warning Siren has just been set off.”  That day will definitely be a day to remember. We live in a very sparsely inhabited region. We have tornados touch down all around us. But thankfully for us, only old barns and abandoned buildings were destroyed.  The people in Brookport were not that lucky. Brookport is located right across the river from us. I don’t know if you have ever heard the old myth, a tornado will not cross water. Don’t believe it! I could see the tornado forming in Kentucky and my daddy had always told me that myth about tornadoes. So I figured the tornado was going to double back and that was going to be it. The winds kept building and building. The National Weather service said that the winds had got up to 75 miles an hour before it crossed the river. It was a huge tornado that struck this poor Illinois town. They won’t allow anyone in except for emergency personal and those who are cleaning up. Apparently there is nothing left of the town.

I know on the news they keep mentioning the larger towns in Illinois. Brookport was devastated and nothing but local people are helping. I know the government finally showed up but they are not telling the basic needs of this community. These people have lost everything. I guess because I got to see this monster that was going to demolish this poor town, I feel like this was way to close for comfort. These people need food, clothing, housing, personal items, basically they need everything.

The local news station (which I provided a link to) has a spot on it for donating to the Red Cross to help these people. The people that were hit by this tornado were nothing but good hard working individuals. They had worked for everything they had and now it is gone. If you would like to donate to the Red Cross, where the Red Cross can purchase the necessary items, please use the link below. I know the people of Brookport will appreciate all the help they can get within the next coming months.

WPSD Local 6

This page will tell you how you can donate, if you live somewhere in the area, where the drop off points are, everything you need to know to help.

Thank you!

Daily OM for December 4th – Now Is the Time

Now Is the Time

Bloom Where You Are Planted

by Madisyn Taylor

The time to blossom is now, not sometime in the future when you believe the stars will be aligned for you.

Having a vision for our future that differs from our current circumstances can be inspiring and exciting, but it can also keep us from fully committing to our present placement. We may become aware that this is happening when we notice our thoughts about the future distracting us from our participation in the moment. We may find upon searching our hearts that we are waiting for some future time or situation in order to self-actualize. This would be like a flower planted in North Dakota putting off blooming because it would prefer to do so in Illinois.

There are no guarantees in this life, so when we hold back we do so at the risk of never fully blossoming. This present moment always offers us the ground in which we can take root and open our hearts now. What this means is that we live fully, wherever we are, not hesitating because conditions are not perfect, or we might end up moving, or we haven’t found our life partner. This can be scary, because we might feel that we are giving up our cherished dreams if we do not agree to wait for them. But this notion that we have to hold back our life force now in order to find happiness later doesn’t really make sense. What might really be happening is that we are afraid to embrace this moment, and ourselves, just exactly as we are right now. This constitutes a tendency to hold back from fully loving ourselves, as we are, where we are.

We have a habit of presenting life with a set of conditions—ifs and whens that must be fulfilled before we will say yes to the gift of our lives. Now is the time for each of us to bloom where we are planted, overriding our tendency to hold back. Now is the time to say yes, to be brave and commit fully to ourselves, because until we do no one else will. Now is the time to be vulnerable, unfolding delicately yet fully into the space in which we find ourselves.

Daily OM

Good Saturday Morning, my dear, dear friends!

Good Morning, guys and gals! How’s it going so far? My morning has been super busy. I am starting to feel like myself again. And unfortunately everyone knows it, lol! Just kidding! I hate not being able to do things for myself. Especially having to depend on others to do things for me. I know they are very kind hearted to do what I need done. But it’s not the same, I want to get up and do it. I believe what I missed most was going down to the animal refuge every morning. That always starts my day off right.

Speaking of which, I know I am running late but it is not because I have been goofing off.  We went up in Illinois the other day and picked up a young momma cougar and her two babies. The first call we have ever got from Illinois and our first cougar. A first all the way around. We brought her back and I put her and her babies in their new home. She won’t let anyone come close to the enclosure except me. So I feed her every morning, clean out the cage and of course I have to play with the babies some. When the momma gets a little older and the babies bigger, I am going to have to find a safe place to release them. I know Kentucky has wildcats, bobcats but no cougars that I have actually seen. I can’t remember who it was but it was someone visiting me while I was down at the refuge. He told me about a cougar further down in Western Kentucky that was attacking cattle. Then he said a farmer came out and found the cougar on top of one of his horses. He said the cougar had almost tore off one side of the horse’s face. The farmer shot at it and missed but did manage to scare it off. The vet came out and managed to save the poor horse. But that man said there had been lots of reports of cougars around here. He told me I should be very careful at night when I come down to the refuge. I remember him saying, “You know a hungry cougar would knock you off your four-wheeler and eat you before you knew what happened. Now you be careful, gal!” I know I have heard some rumors of these supposedly cougars around here but something just don’t wash with me about the stories. Hmmm….

Oh, I have good news, I am training a new witch to help out with the postings. She will be mainly over the Southern Hemisphere section of the blog. I know those poor people feel totally neglected and I apologize for it. I was doing both sites till we got the cougar. Now my mornings are fairly full doing everything that needs to be done for her. The new witch’s name is Kathleen. She is a Hereditary witch and a Solitary. She has helped out here at the WOTC before. She use to reply to all the emails we receive. Now she understands my circumstances, she is willing to help out on the sites. I am very grateful for that. Now you will have three of us old broom riders you will have to put up with, lol!

Well the old broom rider is going to get on her broom and get busy. I hope everyone has a very blessed Saturday. If you are going out shopping, avoid the mobs at all costs, lol! No matter what your plans, enjoy the day.

Goddess Bless You & Yours,

Lady A

Wishing You Many Blessings This Super Sunday, My Friends!

Good Sunday Morning, dear friends! How is your day going so far? Mine! Great, I feel much better. I did nothing at all yesterday except watch  OnDemand with my husband all day. Good grief, we watched every new series that was out. I thought my eyes would burn out of my head. Kiki got all upset because her routine was screwed up and so did the other two. I didn’t think it would kill me to be nice and cooperate since he has waited on me hand and foot. :s!

I have one business issue I would like to address this morning. I have noticed in the back that our articles are being reblogged all over the net. Hey, I don’t care that is what we put the information out for, for you to use. It is free to use, always has been, always will be. But I would ask just one thing of you. If you have a blogroll, a link page or something like that could you at else mention us. I go out and submit this site to 500 search engines a month. I bust my butt to draw Pagans, Witches, Wiccans and other Tradition here. So you just mentioning us in a link or a blogroll, would be doing me a great service. In return, I will list your link or site on our site. It is only fair in my humble opinion. Just remember the info is free but it would be great to have a tiny mention in your blogroll or link page. Thank you, sweeties!

Bet you can’t guess the next thing on my mind, now can you, lol! I would not continue to urge you to get out and vote this year if I did not consider it very, very important. It is especially important to us as Pagans and those among us as women to vote, vote, vote! My husband and I were kidding, he said he was going to vote and go back and vote again. You know of course that is a joke. That is totally illegal. It is also criminal for anyone that is a registered voter this year to sit at home and not vote. It is one of your freedoms in this country and please get out and express that right. I feel so strongly this year that I believe our Religion is at stake and also I believe our rights as women are. As I mentioned before Romney has repeated over and over there is only one God perhaps but his God is not my God. If you are a Pagan, Witch, Wiccan, etc., you realize that also. He has mentioned there is a force that is taking over this country. It is moving like a wave to wipe out Religion as it is known in this country. Do I have to tell you what wave he is referring to? It is us and our Religion. Statistics show more people are leaving mainstream Religion and returning to the Ways of Old. We are the Ways of Old. We are the Old Religion. With Romney in the Presidential office, I am afraid our religious freedoms might be in jeopardy. Do you want to take that chance? I don’t. If that happens, I will not stand idly by and watch it happen. I don’t believe there are others reading this that will too. We will return to the time of our Ancestors. Fighting all over to retrieve what they have accomplished for us and what we have accomplished since then. Don’t sit home this election year, our freedom and rights are on the line here!

As far as women go, I have heard enough talk about men deciding what rape is and rape isn’t. What a women has the right to do with her own body? What man on this planet has the right to tell me what I can and cannot do with my own body? Not even my husband. My body is mine. My body is a temple of the Goddess. I believe the Goddess gives us free will to do with our bodies as we choose. The talk of rape and legitimate rape make me sick to my core. Rape is rape. If a woman is raped and then comes up pregnant. It is her right, not the government or anyone else’s place to say what she is to do with that fetus. It is her choice. Rape is a terrible crime. Who is to say that child might remind that woman of that terrible day every time she looks at it. That woman might not want to experience that the rest of her life. And the idoit that made the statement about legitimate rape, he ought to be ran out of the state of Illinois.

I watched the “Meet the Press” show on NBC this morning. There was a Republican representative on there clarifying the rape situation for us. He said that it was meant to be interpreted as “God would choose if those women who turn up pregnant from rape should carry the baby to term or not.” If the baby was meant to be from this horrible crime, she would carry it to full term. If not, then she would miscarry. WHAT THAT HELL? No, NOPE, No, NOPE, not for me. Nor is his God, my God. My God is a Goddess. She has given my body to me as a gift and as a temple. Rape is defiling the Temple of the Goddess. The people making these ridiculous statements don’t know what a woman suffers when she is raped. They have the nerve to make these statements. How dare they? If these people are elected to office, the women of this country will be set back 50 years as for as our rights go. We will no longer have the right to do with our bodies as we like. We will be told what to do. If this is not the hidden agenda, then why was it ever mentioned in the first place? You know yourself, this had to be discussed somewhere. The men making this statements don’t look smart enough to come up with these stupid and pathetic statements on their own. I believe some planned the idea in their little pea brains. Then to top it all off, Romney had an ad endorsing one of those candidate before he made his stupid remark. Romney did not pull his endorsement after the statement was made. He continues to run the ad and continues to endorse this candidate. What does that tell you? Perhaps I am coming down to hard on this issue. But I am a woman. I believe the Goddess gave me my body and it is MY TEMPLE. Not anyone else’s, nor is it anyone else’s business to tell me what to do with it. I am Pro Choice and I am not ashamed to say it because of the way I believe. You as Pagans, Witches, Wiccans and all the other Traditions in our Religion,  should also believe that our bodies are our own Temples. Are you going to stand by and let someone tell us how we should treat our bodies?  Our bodies that our Temples of our Goddess?

Vote! Vote! Vote!

Now that I am off my soapbox, I would like to thank all of you that have written to me at our site’s addy. I appreciate all of your good wishes and love. You don’t know how much it means to me. I can feel you love and warmth and it is indeed appreciated. I would also like to thank a very good friend that I will be writing a letter to today. This person is a good friend and a great supporter of the WOTC especially our animal refuge. He is helping spreading the word throughout California about our little old group in Kentucky. Which we deeply appreciate. KoolTrainer, I do not wish to embarrass you but I want to thank you for your  generous donations to our Refuge. I haven’t had the chance to email you. So this way, I was assured you would know I love you and thank you so much.

Well after having a wonderful blow-hard session here. I am off to work. I see Annie must be sleeping in again. She deserves a break. She has worked very hard and done an amazing job (even if she did try to adopt me out the other day, lol!). I hope everyone has a very enjoyable Sunday. Please stop and consider who you are voting for and most of all make plans to vote. This year is extremely important to us, our families and our Religion. Thank you for listening.

Love and Blessings to all,

Lady A

I would love it if you would reblog this everywhere on the net! People need to open their eyes and see what is at stake and what we have to lose this year!

Dog-gone Doggie of the Day for May 24th

Name: Tank
Age: One and a half years old
Gender: Male Breed: Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Home: Illinois, USA
This is Tank, and he’s a male Pembroke Welsh Corgi (that’s the kind without a tail) now living in Illinois. My family and I traveled 5 hours to meet our new member of the family! Every morning Tank greets us with a happy day with loud yawns and tons of kisses!

Tank was diagnosed with hip dysplasia, which is usually found in larger breed dogs, and has difficulty walking on his back paws, but he’s pulling through. He may not move as fast as he’d like to, but he keeps going, and stays cheerful about it all. Tank deserves to be honored for his bravery and positive courage! And of course, because we love him! He is the best dog for us.

In case you are wondering, what the heck happened to me……

Hello Images, Pics, Comments, Photos, Graphics
Good afternoon, my luvs! I must apologize for abruptly leaving the site while I was posting. I meant to say something to you this morning, in case this happened. But I didn’t. I don’t know if you have been watching the News or not. We have had some awful weather come through here recently. I know on the News it has been reported about the poor little town of Harrisburg, Ill., being tore all to pieces. It has a category 2 tornado hit during the early morning hours of Wednesday. Thirteen people were killed and I believe amongst them was one child. The child was throwed from the house and probably didn’t even know what happened. I know his parents are heartbroken but thankfully he didn’t suffer. They started picking up what was left of their lives yesterday. This little town is about 75 miles from me. Our local News station is collecting goods to take to Harrisburg, Sunday.

Closer to home, we have a main road which is a straight shot to Paducah. It is nice and paved and if you are in a hurry you can do about 100 mph, no problem. I know I have done it, lol! But that is another story. Anyway, the officials kept telling everyone to stay off this main road. Do not go on it, they kept repeating and repeating. Well come to find out today, a category 3 tornado had hit down there. The spot it hit was about three or four miles awa from our house. They said the winds were blowing 125 mph. I remember my hubby came in here and asked me, if I want to be awake when I got blowed away. When I got up, the house was a’rockin’ and the siding sound like it was just being peeled off (thank the Goddess it wasn’t though). After that morning wake-up call, things calmed down and I went back to sleep.

Today, started out as a beautiful day. I went to the mailbox this morning and it was already 65 degrees here. The Weather people had mentioned something about storms but I didn’t think a thing about it. So when I sit down to post, I had it in the back of my head that I might need to tell you if I disappeared, what was going on. But genius decided not to and of course, we had one super cell storm come through after another. When the first one hit, I just quit. I started shutting the computer down as fast as I could, unplugged it from the cable and the electricity, grabbed Kiki and headed to the closet. Razzy and Stinker were stuck up my butt, so they followed right behind me. We were all in the closet. I was about to burn up. Kiki, Razzy and Stinker all piled up on top of me. I just gathered my arms around all of them and held them. My husband had grabbed his laptop and he had it on the local radar. I got to listen to him give weather reports for about two hours. I know the wind was up and it sounded horrible.  I remember hearing the hail hit the house and then I heard a loud roar. It was a tornado going over the house. I thought it was time to kiss my ass good-bye.  But it seemed like it took forever for it to go over. We were extremely blessed nothing major was damaged. My husband said he felt the house move. Hell, I was scared to death and I had three critters who had their claws stuck in me so deep, I thought I was going to need stitches. When we finally did come out, I was never so glad to see the sun shining in my life. We walked around outside. The roof on the shed is missing and we have shingles gone, all the drain pipes are ripped off, and the patio furniture, who knows where it is!

See you thought I was out having a great time didn’t ya’? Instead, I was in the broom closet getting ready to find out if brooms can really fly, lol! I wanted to let you know that I wasn’t skipping out on my responsibilities. I have calmed down and I am going to do a little posting to relax me.

Before I go, I would like to ask a favor of you. Please keep the people of Illinois and Kentucky in your thoughts and prayers (especially Harrisburg). I would deeply appreciate it. Hopefully we can get back to normal tomorrow.

Luv & Hugs,

Lady A

Happy New Year’s Eve, dearies!

Miscellaneous New Year Comments
Guess What? Tomorrow’s New Year’s Day! But you already knew that didn’t you, lol!  If you have any party plans tonight away from your home, please be careful. Around here, they put on the News what time the police would be out checking for drunk drivers, hmm! They can’t report the crime that occurs here because this is a crime-free town. But they can tell the drunks what time the police are going to be out were they can avoid them. That’s great! Now why didn’t they tell all of us sober people what time the drunks were going to be out. That way we would avoid them! Makes sense to me. Our local News channel is a joke. They never report anything that happens here. If you want to know what is going on here, you watch the News channel in Illinois. I guess they want us to feel safe and sound in our little town. I do, I live 50 miles from our little, safe, crime-free town, lol! The place I live is out in th sticks. They just recently discovered us and put us on the map. We don’t have enough people out here to even be considered a town. We are a little spot in the road and if you blink, you missed it. The main attractions out here use to be a Post Office and a gas station. Then we had a Dollar General Store built. That has turned into our Country Wal-Mart. We look like a bunch of bee swarming the hive, lol! Makes you want to break out with the theme song to “Green Acres!”

Have a great New Year’s Eve!

CAR BLESSING

Before leaving on a lengthy journey, bless your car.

Walk around it clockwise and examine the body, the windows, the wheels, and so on. Imagine yourself storing up more and more energy within yourself with each breath that you take, then breathe out all of the energy, fixing it in each of the car’s part. Say aloud:

May the protection of the Lord and the Lady be in and about this vehicle,
that it may deliver us safe to our destination. So mote it be!”

Special Kitty of the Day for November 11th

Hairball, the Cat of the Day
Name: Hairball
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Kind: Maine Coon mix
Home: Illinois, USA
We found Hairball under our deck. He adopted us immediately, recognizing us as cat people who would spoil him shamelessly. We’re not sure how old he is, our guess is somewhere between four and five by now. He has two brothers to torment, Squirm (the Worm) and Spankenstein. He graciously allows us to live in his house.

Hairball is the “big brother” in our house. He loves to play with his little brother, Squirm. They chase each other around the house, while the “middle kid” Spankenstein watches them like they’re morons. Hairball like to chase the laser light point and can do a back flip when he feels like it. At night he sleeps on my feet. During the day, he’s on my lap… when he can push Spankenstein off. As you can see by the picture, he loves to squeeze himself into small spaces. He is happiest in a bag, under the foot stool or stuffed into a FedEx box. When we’re not home, he hangs out on top of our china cabinet, surveying his domain.

September 29 – Daily Feast

On rare occasions you may have felt a word drop into your heart that you knew meant something because it never faded and always stood as a reminder that something profound happened. You may not have understood then, but your mind has gone back to it numerous times, wondering what it meant. Years can pass between an event and the understanding of it. It may be we have to grow up to it, or our minds and spirits have to mature enough to see how it is to play out in our lives. It is little different from building a house, you can see the structure going up, but you know it can’t be used until it is finished. Sometimes ideas and visions need time to firm up before we can use them.

Welcome To The WOTC’s Magickal Deprived Weekend

Welcome friends, fellow practitioners and the curious to our “Magickal Deprived” Weekend! We all get caught up in the daily grim of life. We want to rush to a blog to find our horoscopes and perhaps a daily tarot or rune. But we forget what we are really all about, that is the MAGICK! The magick that draws us to these blogs, the magick that makes us want to know what is going to happen today. Will we have the power to change the fates? In our busy lives, unless you are a seasoned practitioner, you can forget items and ingredients that go into a spell. In fact, you can even forget spells.

This weekend, I am going to take you by the hand and whisk you off into my magickal world. A world full of mystery, potions, tinctures, ointments, spells, the Ancient Ways of teaching and most of all MAGICK! Hopefully on your journey with me, you will pick up some new ideas and also become refreshed and ready to conquer the world. Witches are to help better mankind, nature and our environment. We all work together, we can make this one hell of a beautiful world for our children.

But first, this witch has to hop on her broom and fly to Illinois to see my daughter and grandchild. Look over the information that is already posted. When I get back we will take a journey into what makes a witch, some tincture and ointment recipes and some old Celtic spells that are very useful for today. Have a great day and enjoy! Till then…….

Love to all,

Lady A
