The idea bred false conclusions
And a fateful contract
Signed in blood
Ancient text with ancient rite
Demon summoning
Lonely crossroads
It sounded easy
No payment due
Saved until a future day
Bargaining with your soul
What’s the value
None can say
They rather trade it away
Earthly pleasures
They’re easy to see
Wealth, fame, power
Living life so lavishly
Yet time
Time’s a mortal enemy
Try not to think
That eternal damnation
A constant cycle of cremation
But only after pain
And so much suffering
Distract yourself
Try not to see
Deal with it eventually
You want it now
Everything
Eternal youth and diamond rings
Pleasures only flesh can bring
Forgotten was the ancient spell
Your private highway
Your road to hell
Tied now to the hourglass
Amazing run will travel fast
The pact fulfilled
The payment due
Now he comes
Comes for you
Look on the bright side, at least Mondays only happen once a week. Once a week is more than enough.
If Monday was a movie, it would be very long and boring. No one would ever want to watch it.
Sunday and Monday are in a fight. Who wins? Sunday. Monday is a weekday.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, I blinked, Monday. The weekend goes by way too fast.
Ok so this is very dry humor today. Enjoy your week.

Hello dear Sisters, Brothers, and Friends! I am still waiting for further votes to know how you all would like the regular daily posts to come to your email’s inbox.
Please take a couple of minutes out of your busy day to tell me what you want. For today I am going by the votes I tallied early Sunday morning before getting things ready for my grandson’s birthday party Sunday afternoon.
I am a little confused, which is easily done lately, by the two people who have voted on Saturday, August 12th as they both said they want individual posts for everything but also want to daily and birthday horoscopes as well as the current moon phase and northern hemisphere’s planetary positions in 2 combined posts. If the votes are reading this, could you please clarify that for me separate posts for everything or the 2 combined posts and everything else separate?
Off to do tomorrow’s posts before leaving to go to the doctor for my yearly checkup…oh what fun…not! I wish you all a great Monday!
I’m fighting a head cold that came with a really horrible headache. When I get up enough energy to boil some water and add eucalyptus to it for putting my head over it should help a lot with clearing my sinuses. Than hopefully I can hold my heavy head up long enough to do the regular posts for Tuesday.
I have this hanging up in my home office now along side a picture of Lady Abyss and it has really made me think how I go about working on all things connected to WOTC’s website, WOTC’s School of Witchcraft along with its monthly get together, answering emails, and WOTC’s Lady Carla Beltane’s Grimoire on Patreon. It made me realize I had moved my focus to how make I was making from all of it on a monthly basis instead of continuing to do the posts ectara as a labor of love and to carry on the work Lady Abyss started over 2 decades ago to let society know that being pagan and/or a witch is an OK thing. By spreading fact instead of fiction about witchcraft and pagan spiritual and magickal paths in general.
May the Gods and Goddesses bless you and yours with all good things in your life.

Information on divination with candles both tapers and seven day novena candles.
The art of Ceromancy or divination with candles has different kinds to it. The studying of the pictures candle wax makes in water OR th way a candle burns. The way a candle burns is actually called Lychnomancy or La Lingus Delle Candelle, “the language of the candle.”
As this is about Ceromancy this is what I will dicuss first then I will discuss Lychnomancy later on. Ceromancy is when the witch lights a candle and then drips wax from the candle into a bowl of water. Then the witch would search for images that form in the wax in the water. It’s that easy.
One can probably use the candle color that is suitable depending on the question. Pink for love, green for cash, brown for your home, etc.. Although it was traditional for you to use darker candles because the darker candle wax is easier to see in the water.
One Italian System of ceromancy is recorded in Judika Illes, The Element Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells, 2004 (p. 307)
Bind two tapers–not dripless beeswax candles. Place standing in a bowl of water. Place in the water, nettle leaves, cumin seeds, three rose hips, and a couple of sprigs of rue.
Light the candles. Observe the wax dripping into the water that is chilly. Interpret any contours formed by the hot wax solidifing from the cold water. The best interpretation of what a shape is and what it means is up to you.

It’s Friday night which means I’m pounding shots at the club and getting crazy til the break of dawn. Except by pounding shots, I mean drinking SleepyTime tea. By the club, I mean my couch. By getting crazy, I mean watching Good Eats. And by break of dawn, I mean 10:30 ish.
Me: “This Friday night is lit! *sips wine, continues to fold laundry
What goes by slower than a boring movie? Friday afternoon.
The highlight of Friday night when you’re a parent is the 5 minutes between putting your kids to bed and passing out on your own.

It has been long week but we got a lot accomplished at home. Big Dawg had a good week with serving papers and we have put him getting attacked last week behind us. I got more stuff done on Patreon come check it out Wotc’s Lady Carla Beltane’s Grimoire
I have not finished the ritual yet for the super, blue Moon that fall on August 30th. I will be up next week. I just start the ritual tier this week but have not got one live yet. Coming soon there will also be some more free things on Patreon. Well, it is time to go do a bunch of laundry.
Have a fantastic Friday!
Calliope whispered,
Her back screaming, on fire
Flesh tightening, twisting
She grimaced and pulled closer
A pillar and her strong grip
The only things between alive and not
“Help me”
An unbearable weight
Pulling, swinging, no warning
Every fiber a candle wick
And bleeding, she feels the slick
What’s happening to me?
Trying hard just to focus
“Someone, anyone, please”
Lungs collapsing
Every breath excruciating pain
She cries out to the dark night
No help from the forest
Or the water below
The witching hour long past
“I can’t hold on”
A knotted rope around her chest
The mocking weight hung below
When suddenly and terribly, it came
First, an icy wind slithered up her legs
Hungrily licking at her wounds
Lusting at the raw sweetness of agony
“I….I can’t breathe”
And then everything gathered whiteness
Sight growing dim, must be dying
Vengeful girls gathered all around
Surrounded, and then a great sound
Something wicked now commencing
A shining darkness come to play
“Help”
A hunting party, that’s what they say
Message of death to a witch, this day
Her fondness for circumstance, it was
Wrong place, wrong time
A bridge, a rope, a sack of stone
How long could she hold on?
“It wasn’t me”
And now, there’s no one listening
The angry mob of menacing girls
Peddling their false justice off an interstate
But for one, things moved too slow
Her stone pitch, right down the middle
That probably broke a rib.
“!a!a!a!a!a!a!a!”
And how the laughter did flow
The taunts, and a surging crowd
Her pain threshold now crossed
The great iceberg cleaves with a fierce crashing
Waves churning, wind rising
And then, when eyes start glowing
“Enough!”
To the skies, Calliope whispered
And how they did swell and rumble
Blue lightning flashed, icy rain erupting
And suddenly, the heat escaped
Water freezing, blood pumping
A soulless cold spread like a plague
“I’m coming”
Rise she did, as a ghost on the wind
Up, up, and finally over the rail
No one’s laughing now, no one at all
One hand reaches angrily into the wind
Hammering gusts, mean girls running
Nowhere to go, black ice forming
“Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha !!!!”
Frozen bolts burst from her hands
She lashes out with the whip of winter
Oh the delicious screaming and wailing
But none escaping, each sees her eyes
Powerless as their souls ripped away
Leftovers fed to the damned
“Hmh”
The realization of painful exhilaration
It’s another long moment of finally being over
And tomorrow she’ll be far away
Start again, somewhere new, just like before
Maybe this time she can stay Calliope
And keep her secret Ice Witch away
“Maybe…”

Wow I had to remove some tag words because of mixes up between WOTC’s School of Witchcraft and my sister’s school of witchcraft. After finding out there is over 5,000 pages of just tags words saved, some with nothing connected to them, I am slowly weeding through them all to only keep pertinent ones. This is one of those things where slow and sure will win the race just like in the story “The Turtle and The Hare.” Do you recall this from your or your descendants’ childhoods? In it the Turtle keeps going at its normal pace of running while the Hare thinks it has the race in its pocket and stops to take a nap which winds up being its downfall to losing the race. While we might want to finish some tasks fast it doesn’t mean they will be done well or completely. Such as when I sit down to bring you all the regular daily posts. I have learned over the past couple of months that it is not important how much I make from WOTC but what is important is the content of what I post daily.

Ever have one of those days that you wake up feeling totally yucky and tired even after a full night’s sleep? Well today is one of those days for me. I tried to take a nap before working but as it is already so late that I couldn’t fall asleep knowing I hadn’t gotten the posts done that you count on me for. So, here I am finally and will get as much done for the tomorrow’s previews as I can.
Wishing you all a day filled with good health, a little me time, and all good things happening for you.

Another day of riding in the Jeep for a few hours after I try to get WOTC stuff done. I am catching up on emails as quickly as I can.
For those who subscribe to Life in The Craft magazine via Patreon I am sorry but there will be no more issues I do not have the time for all the research and everything else to do the magazine justice. I am switching the Spell tier on Patreon to $3.00 USD per month so you will be able to get a spell once a week in place of the magazine. This is a $2.00 discount from where the spell tier cost per month is now. All spells that are already on Patreon will be switched to this new tier between today and tomorrow. The name of this special tier will still be “Luxury Witch” only for those who subscribed to Life in The Craft magazine before August 7, 2023.

A beautiful morning here after much needed rain last night. Today will take us a little way from home to serve paperwork but that’s ok. It means I have time to catch up with emails, work on the rest of the July issue of Life in The Craft magazine, and maybe do a few household chores. Wishing you all a great Monday!
(YOU CAN COPY AND PASTE ANY COROSPONDENCES AND SPELLS POSTED TO A DOCUMENT TO PRINT AND/OR SAVE ON YOUR COMPUTER)
The chant below brings swift justice to those who treat you unfairly. Take caution in using it, though, especially if you have also behaved inappropriately. Hecate’s justice knows no bounds. She sees to it that all involved get precisely what they deserve.
“Hecate, Dark One, hear my plea,
Bring justice now, I ask of Thee!
Right the wrongs that have been done,
Avenge me now, oh Mighty One.
Turn misfortune back to those
Who cause my problems and my woes.
And heap upon them karmic debt
Lest they all too soon forget
Their wrongful actions, words, and deeds
Don’t let them get away scot-free.
Bring them forth from where they hide,
Bring swift justice ~ wield your knife.
Hasten, Dark One; hear my plea ~
Do what it is I ask of Thee.”
Excerpt from
Everyday Magic: Spells & Rituals for Modern Living by Dorothy Morrison
Hecate, Goddess of darkest night,
Send my troubles all to flight,
Burn them in thy sacred fires,
And replace them with my heart’s desire!
May the circle never be broken,
May the earth always be whole,
May the rattle ever be shaken,
May Hecate live in my soul.
Hecate’s power,
Dark Moon Hour,
Fire to Banish and
Magick to flow.
Come Goddesses of fire and water,
Goddesses of earth and air.
Give your blessings to this altar,
Give a listen to our prayers.
Goddess, let all good blessings come to thee,
Love and money fair to see.
Let all happiness and love,
Be heaped upon thee from above.
Bring in, bring in, as the Moon doth swell,
Whatever Thou neediest to keep thee well.
Hecate, Crone Goddess, Keep me whole,
Let thy wisdom fill my soul.

Hello everyone! Starting today I will do the tomorrow posts in the morning after the today’s Some Humor for Your Day post because I started back sliding again on the regular daily posts as I would to the today’s post than take a long break and something always happens around our home, or it is time to go help Big Dawg with his job. So, be sure to watch the dates and days when you read the Daily and Birthday Horoscopes, Moon’s Current Phase and Northern Hemisphere’s Planetary Positions and Some of the Witchcraft/Magickal Correspondence and a Spell for.

All of today’s regular daily posts will be live as soon as I get my body and mind in gear from relaxing to work mode. It’s gloomy and rainy, which is the type of day I enjoy kicking back with a cup of coffee or tea and reading a good book.
The rest of Life in The Craft magazine’s July issue will be available on Patreon by the evening of Monday, August 7th. As compensation for me not getting it out on time, I have made a few of the spells available to the nagazine’s subscribers available for free until Saturday, August 12th.
