…

The Moon phase for October 6th, 2026 is a Waning Crescent phase. This is the phase where the moon is less than 50% illuminated but has not yet reached 0% illumination (which would be a New Moon).

In this part of the moon cycle, it is getting closer and closer to the Sun as viewed from Earth and the night side of the Moon is facing earth with a decreasingly thin crescent being illuminated.

The waning (shrinking) crescement Moon will rise at around midnight, transit the meridian after sunrise, before setting after noon. This phase is best viewed 1-2 hours before sunrise and is a great time to see the features of the Moon’s surface. Along the illuminated crescent you can see the craters and mountains of the moon casting long shadows.

The Waxing Gibbous phase, like all moon phases, will last for just over 7 days. The actual length will vary because of the elliptical shaped orbit of the moon. During this Waxing Gibbous phase the moon will rise in the east in the mid- to late-afternoon and will be high in the eastern sky at sunset.

Assuming it’s a clear night, the Waxing Gibbous moon will then be visible through most of the night before setting just before sunrise.

A Clean Break Source

This is the spell you need to make a clean break from something in your life you need to be rid of. This is more for making a break from a part of your life not a specific person. You would do better with a banishing spell for that.

Sprigs of rosemary

A dry stick, as thick at your little finger at least

Black string

White string

A large pot and spoon

Black candle

White Candle

Traditionally this spell would use a gong or a large, deep bell. Since most people don’t have one, we can improvise with a big pot. If you do have a large bell, feel free to use that instead.

Use the black string to tie a sprig of rosemary at one end of the stick, and then use white to do the same at the other end. Set this down between the two candles. Light the black candle, and say out loud what you are looking to break away from. Light the white candle, and say what you’re hoping to bring into your life instead.

Hold the stick above the flames, with the black end over the black candle and the white end over the white one. Keep it high enough to not catch on fire. Hold the ends in each hand and give it a sharp snap to break in half. Don’t worry if it doesn’t break evenly. It’s not important.

Hold your hands over the flames and repeat the 2 things again. Take the pot and spoon, again between the candles, and give it 4 hard whacks to clear the energy. Your break is now made. Leave the candles to burn out. Burn the sticks if you can, or else bury them outside.

…

The Moon phase for October 4th, 2026 is a Waning Crescent phase.

What to Wear: Go trendy, but not too flashy. Libra will be watching the crowd and silently critiquing everyone’s ability to keep up with style and elegance.

What to Eat: Keep it healthy — you don’t have to go as far as no carb, gluten-free and vegan, but some meatless dishes and low-fat fare will be greatly appreciated.

Who to Invite: Restrict your list to the more refined people in the crowd. Libra doesn’t like noise, arguments or lewd behavior … unless it’s in their bedroom.

Where to Go: The newest, trendiest club or restaurant you can find.

Your loved ones are thankful for your fairness and mood-changing abilities. Unlike others with the same zodiac sign, this Libra birthday person can be found around a lot of upbeat individuals, particularly at the local hangout spot.

You are a romantic source of pleasure but you are extremely sensitive, and it is so easy to hurt your feelings because of this. Those born on this October 2 birthday love nice things and the only way to have this is to spend money on it. You’d like to save for the rainy day, but you feel that you are saving by purchasing things that are on sale.

The October 2nd astrology also shows that you have a choice of careers. However, picking one particular profession could be an issue as you like being in the public eye.

This October 2 Libran birthday people are typically self-starters and are curious individuals. You love learning new things and will not hesitate to continue your education.
However, when you are in this stage of life, you are not, for the most part, friendly and friendships tend to suffer because of it. You tend to avoid places that are loud or places that have too many restrictions.

You turn heads as someone born on October 2. While in a partnership, you find yourself involved in making fantasies come true. Your appreciation for beauty is only a compliment to your romantic visions.

HARE

Although hares and rabbits look similar, they have very different symbolism. A hare is bigger than a rabbit, has longer ears, and possesses more powerful hind legs. The two most abundant kinds are the European Brown Hare and the Snowshoe Hare. The Snowshoe Hare is strongly linked to the Snowy Owl population, such that when hare populations are down, the owls stop breeding, and even die from starvation. The hare is more solitary and tougher than the rabbit. Hares don’t live in warrens or have maternity nests. The young hares are born so well-developed that they can fend for themselves within a few hours of their birth.

The hare is associated with a number of myths from many different cultures. The Algonquin tribe honored the Great Hare as a demiurge, a role in the creation of the world. The Egyptians also saw the hare involved in a creation story. For them, the hare came to mean procreation, and then immorality. While the hare is often associated with impatience and haste (like the “Tortoise and the Hare” fable), it’s important to note that other cultures, like the Goths, saw the hare as fleet and swift, and symbols of diligence. This reflects the attitudes of medieval hunters, who viewed hares as a challenge to catch.

Hare people are considered sensitive and artistic, and also linked with ambition, fitness, and virtue. However, the hare is not just associated with positive things. Hares are also thought of as greedy and selfish, even a bad example for people. Hare is seen as a jokester, linked with trickery and fraud. Even those with hare medicine are clever, often unreliable, and frequently thinking of themselves.

Although hare has some qualities that are less than redeeming, there are things he can teach us. Because they move in leaping and hopping motions, those with rabbit and hare totems can expect changes in their own lives in the same kind of movement. Hare can also aid people in recognizing the signs around them by attuning to lunar cycles and understanding the tides of movement in their own lives.

CROSSROADS

This rune indicates a more difficult path where things are not so easy.

The Crossroads represents not only quarrels and misunderstandings but also discipline and mastery over the self.

It is not necessarily bad luck, but rather slow, substantial gains.

The Crossroads suggest maintaining the status quo, understanding boundaries and limitations, make a sustained practical effort, practical matters and solid achievement.

Relationships may be on shaky ground when one of these elements is sacrificed at the expense of another.

This rune stresses basic concerns and could indicate feeling boxed in. There may even be a feeling of discouragement. But you will soon discover innate strength and resources giving your achievements more meaning.

COLL/CALL

C, sometimes read as K, is Coll, which is the Hazel tree. August is known as the Hazel Moon, because this is when Hazel nuts appear on the trees–the world Coll translates to “the life force inside you”, and what better symbol of life than the nut itself? Hazel is associated with wisdom and creativity and knowledge. Sometimes it is connected in Celtic lore with magical springs, sacred wells, and divination.

Hazel was a handy tree to have around. It was used by many English pilgrims to make staffs for use upon the road–not only was it a sturdy walking stick, it also provided a modicum of self-defense for weary travelers. Certainly, it could have been used as well for ritual. Hazel was used in weaving of baskets by medieval folk, and the leaves were fed to cattle because it was believed this would increase the cow’s supply of milk.

In the Irish myth cycles, there is a tale that nine hazel nuts dropped into a sacred pool. A salmon came along in the pool and gobbled up the nuts, which then imbued him with wisdom. A variation of the story appears in the legend of Finn Mac Cumhail, who ate the salmon and then took on the knowledge and wisdom of the fish. Note that Mac Cumhail is often translated as Mac Coll.

FIVE

The most vibrant, freedom-loving of all numbers in numerology

A DYNAMIC FORCE

The 5 is unpredictable, always in motion, and constantly in search of change.

Although it is molded from an almost equal mix of freedom-loving and loyal characteristics, the 5 is slightly more daring, and there is nothing submissive about it.

The 5 is extremely independent in mind and soul.

Many 5s choose careers that require travel or otherwise offer a regular change of environment. People working in the travel industry, small business owners, independent consultants, lawyers, and those in sales often have the 5 in their core numbers.

The 5 can adjust quickly to pretty much anything coming their way.

Perhaps the most dominating trait of the 5 is the uncompromising demand for freedom in thought and action.

On the negative side, the 5 can be selfish, thoughtless, and irresponsible.

As a Libra born on October 1st…

Astrological symbol: Scales. The sign of the Scales is influential for those born September 23 – October 21, when the Sun is considered to be in Libra. It is suggestive for knowledge, balance and justice.

The Libra Constellation is one of the twelve constellations of the zodiac, covering visible latitudes between +65° and -90°. It lies between Virgo to the West and Scorpio to the East on an area of only 538 square degrees. It has no first magnitude stars.

The name Libra comes from the Latin name for Scales, in Greek the sign for October 1 zodiac sign is called Zichos, while in Spanish and French they also call it Libra.

Opposite sign: Aries. This sign as the opposite or complementary of Libra reveals elegance and a daring state and shows how these two sun signs have similar goals in life but they reach to them differently.

Modality: Cardinal. This offers an insight in the structured nature of those born on October 1 and their cleanness and punctuality in life in general.

Ruling house: The seventh house. This placement suggests a space of partnership, altruism and balance achieved through cooperation. This is suggestive for the interests of Libras and for their behavior in life.

Ruling body: Venus. This planet reflects unification and passion. It also suggests the charm component. Venus represents feminine energy opposing the masculine energy of Mars.

Element: Air. This element symbolizes evolution and innovation and is considered to rule over the clever and open minded individuals born under the October 1 zodiac sign. Air also gets new meanings in association with fire, making things heat up, vaporizing water while earth seems to smother it.

Lucky day: Wednesday. This is a day ruled by Mercury, therefore deals with harmony and evaluation. It suggests the changeable nature of Libra natives.

 Lucky numbers: 2, 9, 11, 14, 27.

 Motto: “I balance!”

Positive Traits: These natives have a domestic nature in them that craves for peace and balance and also a powerful sense of justice. Therefore they seem to do what is expected of them all the time, first work than relaxation and seem to attain this way a satisfying sense of accomplishment with their lives. They are innovative and charming but they often let others follow their ideas because they are too cautious to take big leaps.

Negative Traits: Anxious and over thinking at times, these natives need to learn to stop worrying so much and stop making all kinds of scenarios. They want to be prepared but they often just end up being more stressed then necessary. They have this fame of being helpful but they can also be quite resentful and intolerant, especially with those people from whom they are not feeling they receive enough credit.

Love and Compatibility: Lovers born on October 1 are romantic and loyal. They are attracted to enthusiastic and imaginative people that are as reliable as they are. You can conquer the heart of Libra if you are as trustworthy and affectionate as they are. This single native is completely focusing energy on their personal development and is in no way in a hurry to enter a relationship if they don’t feel it’s the right thing to do.

They believe in love at first sight and don’t need much time to get attached to someone. They either like someone the moment they get in touch with him or her or they don’t. They are persons of extremes in love and sometimes this attitude will make them prone to disappointment. They are likely to fall in love at a young age as they are attractive and positive persons. Regarding their family life they will marry when they are completely ready and they will probably be a cool parent if they choose to have a one big family. They are most compatible with those born on 4th, 6th, 8th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 22nd, 24th, 26th, and 31st.

October 1 Zodiac people are very attached to the other two air signs: Gemini and Aquarius as they tend to share the same vision of life. In life, Libra is in a constant search for an active and visionary partner to expand their horizon and the one to offer them this is the native in Aquarius. The lover in Libra is thought to be least compatible with Aries. As for the rest of compatibilities between the other star signs and Libra, you know what they say, stars predispose but people dispose.

Japanese people love the dragonfly totem. The Navajo of the Native Americans recognizes them as a symbol of pure water and swiftness and activity.

Tinne or Teine

T stands for Tinne, or Teine, the Holly tree. This evergreen plant is connected to immortality, unity, courage, and the stability of hearth and home. Pronounced chihnn-uh by the Celts, the wood of the Holly was often used in the construction of weapons, and is known as a plant of warriors and protectors.

In the pre-Christian British Isles, the Holly was often associated with protection–planting a hedge around your home would keep malevolent spirits out, thanks in no small part to the sharp spikes on the leaves. In Celtic myth, the concept of the Holly King and the Oak King symbolizes the changing of the seasons, and the transition of the earth from the growing time to the dying season.

When Christianity moved into the Celtic lands, the new religion associated the Holly plant with the story of Jesus. The poky spikes on the leaves represent the crown of thorns worn by Jesus on the cross, and the bright red berries symbolize his blood.

Tinne Correspondences

Mundane Aspects: Hang a sprig of Holly in your home to protect your family in your absence. Soak the leaves in spring water under a full moon, and then use the water as a blessing for people or items you wish to protect. There is strength to be found in standing together, and ultimately protection comes from honor and trust.

Magical Aspects: Develop the ability to respond quickly and wisely to your intuition. Learn to overcome and adapt to new situations, and to respond immediately to changes in your spiritual environment. Trust your instinct, but don’t let your heart rule over your head.

Hexagram Five/5

Water Over Heaven Also called “Patience

Changing Lines in Hexagram #5

The lesson of hexagram number 5 is that good things come to those who wait. Patience requires both inner strength and a commitment to resist the temptation of acting prematurely. Often hardships will arise in the course of one’s time spent waiting. The message here is that those who endure these hardships, and “cross great streams” will emerge victorious. Do not be put off your path at this time.

(Side Note: Hexagram lines start at the bottom of the hexageram)

Changes in Line 1

“Waiting at the Field”

Patience is best exercised from a proper vantage point. Consider placing oneself in a position from where one can watch approaching events at a distance. Do not alter your daily routine, because there is much in it that will help you when events move more quickly.

Changes in Line 2

“Waiting by the Sea”

During tests of patience, it is easy to assume the worst. Such assumptions cause undue panic and grief and reduce one’s ability to think clearly and rationally. Remember that with patience comes perseverance. Do not be swayed by unwarranted fears of failure.

Changes in Line 3

“Waiting in the Marsh”

While waiting for events to happen, it is important to remain ready for action. Changes in this line represent a warning that things are not “at the ready” and your response may be too slow when the situation calls for action.

Changes in Line 4

“Waiting by Blood”

Changes in this line are a serious warning that you are not prepared for action that will soon be required of you. It is foolish to remain trapped in a position of weakness. You must urgently “climb out of the pit” you are in, and get yourself to a place where you are capable of action and change.

Changes in Line 5

“Waiting at the Feast”

Your perseverance brings good fortune, but the ultimate achievement still lies ahead. It is important to rest along the way. Enjoy the good things that life has to offer. You will need the strength for the challenge that still lies ahead.

Changes in Line 6

“Falling Down. / Visitors Arrive.”

There are two messages represented by this changing line: The first is a stern message that a serious failure is imminent. You stand at the edge of a pit, and it is quite sure that you will fall. The second message is more unusual: During your fall, “uninvited guests” will arrive. Treat them all well. For they are part of a larger plan that will help you immeasurably.
