| Name: | Levi |
Age: | Seven years old |
| Gender: | Male |
Kind: | Ragdoll |
| Home: | Victoria, British Columbia, Canada |
||
|
Levi is our blue mitted Ragdoll. Levi is very special to me, he follows us around like a dog, he even plays fetch! He loves his ragdoll brother Bailey and enjoys chasing him around all day. He also loves his treats and reminds me every day when I get home from work as he sits patiently in front of the treat cupboard until I give him one. He is so cute!
Levi is still the character, he and his younger brother, Bailey, love each other very much and get into all kinds of mischief… usually his brother’s fault. Levi is now seven years old and is still a kind little gentleman. We laugh because of our three cats (he also has an older sister, Maisy), Levi is the best behaved, he has never broken or damaged anything, he doesn’t start fights, he sits back and waits for the others to eat and then he will, his hair is short and neat so never needs to be groomed, and has never had any ‘accidents’ outside the litter box. He is very much loved by everyone in the family (furries and human). |

| Name: | Murphy |
Age: | Eleven years old |
| Gender: | Male |
Kind: | Cat |
| Home: | Erwitte, Germany |
||
|
In 2001 we saw Murphy sitting in the animals home in Lippstadt. It was in January when our last cat died after an operation. We were very sad and when Murphy looked at us we knew at once that he was the right cat for us.
After we get up in the mornings, Murphy wants to eat his catfood and he doesn’t stop miaowing till we feed him! He is always very hungry and likes eating very much. He likes to sleep in our beds. But in the living-room he must sleep in a basket under the table now, because he damaged our old sofa with his paws. Last year we had to buy a new sofa and Murphy isn’t allowed to sit on it. Murphy can go out whenever he likes. There big a hole for him in a cellar window. If we call him when he is outside, he’ll usually come very quickly. He wears a bell round his neck. But sometimes he kills little mice and little birds anyway. But he doesn’t eat them. After our holidays in summer, Murphy was very happy that we were back home, so he put a dead mouse on the floor in front of our bed. Murphy likes talking a lot. He doesn’t stop miaowing when he wants to get something. He is a good cat for us. |

| Name: | Garfield |
Age: | One year old |
| Gender: | Male |
Kind: | Scottish Fold |
| Home: | Provo, Utah, USA |
||
| My kitten, Garfield is special in many, many ways. First of all, he came from a litter of Scottish Folds that my daughters mama cat had in April of this year. He came to live with us when he was about eight weeks old. From the very beginning I knew he would be a handful! He’s very curious and wants to be involved in everything. He’s definitely a people cat. He lovesto play and he will play for hours. He has this one thing that he does that is so darn funny when he’s playing he will jump on his hind legs and spread his front legs out as if he was doing ‘karate’… The karate kitty! lolGarfield has a very precious personality, as well. He likes to snuggle (usually when he’s tired and worn out from playing). He will put his little face into my face or my husbands face and gently ‘head butt’ while purring. He gives us butterfly kisses with his nose and all we have to say to him is “Garf, give me a kiss” and he will! He’s so cute and we love him so much.
One day he learned a new little game that he’s now wanting to play quite often. It’s where he puts his paws and his head between the staircase rails and patiently waits for one of us to walk up the stairs. Once we get close to the top where he’s waiting he will begin to bat our heads! It’s hilarious! He can also entertain himself for long periods of time with a bottle cap, hair tie, M&M wrappers, pretty much anything is appealing to him! One other thing that he does that is somewhat unusual and I’ve never had any other of my cats do this is that when he’s eating his dry kitty chow he will gather up a few pieces in his mouth then he will jump over to my bed and spit them out, go back over to his dish and continue to do the same thing until he has a small little stash on my bed! No clue why he does this but it’s cute to watch him do it. |

| Name: | Sadie |
Age: | Four months old |
| Gender: | Female | Breed: | Rottweiler |
| Home: | Geneva, Illinois, USA | ||

Sadie is such a wonderful dog. We got her the week of Halloween because our old dog passed away. At first Sadie had potty training issues but she seems to be over that now, which we are very glad for. She loves food. Especially eggs and ham. I have never seen a dog so excited to eat plain dog food.
Her favorite thing to do is play tug of war. She has a problem with jumping on furniture. It is very funny. I run over to get her off of the couch and she will leap off. I know she does know she is not supposed to be on the furniture! She will also run around with things in her mouth (sometimes toys, sometimes things she is not supposed to have). Then we have to try and catch. It is actually sort of fun, though. She knows Sit and Shake already, and she absolutely loves people. I love her so so much! |

| Name: | Bella |
Age: | Two and a half years old |
| Gender: | Female | Breed: | Black Lab, Border Collie |
| Home: | New Jersey, USA | ||
|
This is Bella! She is almost three years old, and is a black lab/border collie mix (we think, as she is a mutt). She currently lives with her family in New Jersey, and she loves it here! She prefers her water with ice cubes in the summer time, as you can see, and has a good time with them.
Bella is a very special pet because she is incredibly sweet, and has a knack for making people feel better when they are sad. We got her to cheer up our older dog (who is now ten), and she does a fantastic job! She keeps him young with her youth and vigor, but also proves to be a wonderful napping companion. Bella is such a kind dog, and we have literally never heard her growl. She loves to curl up next to any of her humans and cuddle, and she loves going for car-rides and walks. Bella knows lots of tricks, such as the typical sit, shake, lie down, jump, speak, and roll over. She is also very good at catching treats in her mouth, and we like to challenge her by not throwing them directly to her. She is very affectionate around strangers, but she has a good sense of who is “good” and who is “bad.” Whenever we have guests over, she immediately warms to them, because she can tell that they are “good” people and friends of her humans. She has lots and lots of toys, because she likes to take them into our backyard and collect them all in one place and then bury them. Luckily for us, we know all her hiding spots (mostly), and she tends to forget where she puts them. Bella is also very brave. Unlike our older dog, who is terrified of rain, thunder, lightning, wind, etc., Bella seems almost fearless. However, she does not like the pool, which is very uncommon for a lab. We have taught her how to swim and where the steps are in case she is ever to fall in, but she continues to hate it, even after two very hot and humid summers. Despite her being black, she loves to spend summer days basking on our deck in the sun. At times, she seems almost cat-like, because of her hatred for water and the way that she stretches (she arches her back up in a cat-like fashion). She is also known to knead her bed before she lies down and walk in circles for a few minutes before finally deciding where to lie. Bella also has lots of very intricate dreams, and she snores quite loudly and often moves her legs, as if she is chasing something. We love Bella, and we hope you do too! |

Incense for Cats
Incense for Cats
Cats and magic have enjoyed a natural partnership throughout history. The Egyptians relied on feline cunning to destroy the rodents that plagued the Nile Valley granaries. Cats saved the population from starvation. Thereafter, cats were given a place of honor in Egypt.
The black jaguar of the Mayan people represented their most powerful deity and was the driving force behind their magic.
This is still true today. Giant ground pictures called intaglios, which are etched in to the Colorado basin of California, two mountain lions, each over a hindered feet long. According to the Mojave tribe, these are the tribal creator’s helpers.
Of course, no cat story would be complete without mentioning all the wonderful tales of Witches and their feline familiars.
One gem that has been handed down through English history is an incense recipe for cats:
3 teaspoons pine needles, dried and crushed
1 teaspoon frankincense
3 teaspoons catnip, dried and crushed
1/2-3/4 teaspoon gum arabic
Rain water to bind gun Arabic to the other ingredients.
Mix all ingredients together in a glass bowl. Burn on self-igniting charcoal. For your cat’s safety, burn this recipe before he or she comes in to play, or place the burner out of reach.

| Name: | Little Kitty |
Age: | Unknown |
| Gender: | Male |
Kind: | Tabby Siamese mix |
| Home: | Bailey, North Carolina, USA |
||
| Little Kitty (only name he ever answered to, so it stuck) found us about two years ago. He was just sitting outside the house and my son picked him up. He has been with us ever since. We began feeding him and allowed him to remain outside since that was his preference. When it turned cold, I couldn’t leave him outside so that began his wandering in and out. He has always gotten along with my other cats after slowly being introduced to the crew. When we first got him, as you can see, he was young enough so that his mature coloring had not yet fully grown in, so we just know he is somewhere over 2 1/2 years old, but are not sure.Last year, he got out of the house while I was away and had been hit by a car. It took him three days to make it back home. The trip to the vet produced both good and bad news. There was no major damage but he would no longer be able to protect himself properly. He had a broken hip, broken pelvis, multiple broken bones in his foot and damaged claws. He can walk, but he is limited in some activities and can no longer go outside. He was terrified of noises after the accident and would hide at the slightest sound. After much consistency and caution, he is now sitting in the window and only hiding when the offensive vacuum cleaner starts.
He is the most social cat I have ever seen with other cats. He plays with the new kitten and has taken her under his wing. He teaches her everything from the best places to sleep to ‘creatively acquiring’ treats. Helps her hunt, shares his toys and even allows her to play with his tail. He sleeps with the other cats and doesn’t mind at all being used for a pillow by any of them. His favorite places to sleep are my office chair, my spot on the bed, the window and the table I now keep beside my desk. That was the only way I could keep him off my computer! Although he doesn’t like to be held, he loves to have his belly rubbed, his chin scratched and to be close to me or another cat. I occasionally become a chew toy or pin cushion when he wants something. He’s talkative in a quiet way. Rarely meows, but when he does it is definitely something important! Like opening his window so he can get in it, his empty food dish or that it is time for treats. His most fascinating personality trait is that he is so protective! He sleeps between me and the door every night. He is usually within sight or within arm’s reach. He gets upset when he thinks that my orange tabby is a little rough with the kitten. Because he is so protective, I was concerned Little Kitty would be upset about the kitten, but he has turned out to be more of a “daddy” than anything else. He has even started fights with my orange tabby over the kitten! He is loved and he knows it! |

My Black Kitty
My Black Kitty
![]()
Author: Zodiac
I remember the first time I got a black cat. I was three or four years old and my uncle worked at a dairy farm. One day he found a black cat trying to steal some of the cream. He brought me out to his place to work and I took the cat home.
Although the cat was a she, I named it “Tio” which means “Uncle” in Spanish. I loved my black kitty with all my heart. My mother recalls times when I was clumsily carrying Tio around and the cat would scratch me because I was being too rough. Despite my crying, I told her not to yell at Tio.
Unfortunately it turned out that my father was allergic to the cat. Although he liked Tio too, we had to give the cat away. I cried and cried. My tender four-year-old heart broken.
It would be 21 years before I would get another cat. This time a yellow beast for Christmas from my wife. I loved the new animal, but still longed for pet of my youth: a black cat.
Imagine my surprise when I went to the pound. The first thing I discovered was that black cats were hard to get adopted. The second thing that surprised me was that most shelters don’t adopt black cats during the month of October.
I had considered the superstition surrounded the black cat. How a black cat crossing your path is unlucky is a common theme in children’s cartoons. And as a joke, I even named my black cat “Dreizehn” meaning “Thirteen” in German. But I never imagined how seriously it was taken. There is something strange that in the modern day when people are taught not to judge by things like skin pigmentation that the black cat would be stigmatized. After all, any biologist could tell you that a cat’s colorations are caused by the same biochemicals. Why the hate?
Believe it or not, originally black cats were considered lucky. The Pagan Egyptians worshipped Bast a Goddess who would appear as a (you guessed it) black cat. When the animal “crossed your path”, it meant the Goddess was watching you and protecting you. One could tell the Goddess apart from other black cats because she would always appear as a completely solid black cat. (Dreizehn is not the Goddess. He has white hairs in his otherwise glossy coat, but I digress.)
The Pagan Egyptians decided not to take any chances. Killing a cat was illegal in those times. The crime was taken so seriously that the punishment was death. Moreover they built an entire city to the cats. Worshippers would travel from miles away to bring offerings of milk and food.
Okay so where did all this unlucky stuff come from? Well a new religion called “Christianity” began to move in to the region. To the Christians all Pagan deities were the Devil or his Demons. They began to convert the population and the old Gods began to be rejected. Now suddenly a black cat following you around was a Demon trying to drag you body back to the cult and your soul to Hell. Like the Egyptians, the Christians weren’t going to risk it – only this time they were out to get rid of black cats.
The poor animals were condemned all because of their fur.
It’s strange because a later cult called “Islam” would once again revere the cat, black ones included. When Mohammed wandered the lonely deserts it was the wild cats that kept him company. There are stories of Mohammed cutting the sleeves off of his robes rather than disturb his sleeping feline pets. And from what I understand, it is against Islamic law to chase a cat from a Mosque.
But these are the customs of the Middle East where most people consider themselves Muslims. Not the West where most people consider themselves Christians.
So the black cat has to live with its reputation as a partner in Satan’s conspiracy to pull us all down. Which is strange because I guess “Satanists” sacrifice black cats on Halloween. I put Satanists in quotes, because I’m pretty sure these people are mostly stupid, mean teenagers trying to look cool for their friends. And it makes me want to VOMIT.
It somehow seems unjust that I had to give up my black kitty when I was four and live the rest of my life with a broken heart meanwhile some turd out there is killing their cat for fun. (My good Christian neighbors would probably fall out of their chairs if they read that I a witch of all people was advising not to sacrifice animals. But I digress again.)
Today I own several cats. Dreizehn is not too different from any of them. Maybe more set in his ways. He really likes being a house cat. He has a set routine that he likes. Dreizehn wants his canned kitty food at the same time.
We used to take him to a vet that specializes in cats. They told us that he has some of the softest fur they’ve ever seen. He also has these gold eyes. Just like the in the kids cartoons, when he’s in the dark all you can see is the two quarter sized discs staring out at you.
And like the Halloween decoration, I’ve seen him arch his back and put out his claws – but that was usually because he was leaning in to one of my pats. And I’ve seen him snarl and hiss, but that’s because I was trying to move him from the softest, warmest place on the bed and he didn’t want to move. And I’ve seen him skulk in the shadows, but that’s because he was hiding from the dog. And just like every other cat I own, there are times when he coughs up hairballs and misses the litterbox. But none of these things has ever made me want to hurt him.
My Dreizehn kitty is a loyal friend and a great companion. He seems to sense when I’m sad and comes running to my lap when I’m down. Dreizehn came running in to greet my son when we first came home from the hospital. Dreizehn jumped in the crib, took that “I approve” cat look and just purred and purred. Even today when my son cries out in pain or sadness, the black cat is usually the first one on the scene.
He’s one of the best pets and best friends I’ve ever had. If more people could just look past the silly superstitions, they’d learn that too.

| Name: | Coupe |
Age: | Seven years old |
| Gender: | Male |
Kind: | Maine Coon mix |
| Home: | Sacramento, California, USA |
||
|
This is our huge cat, Coupe. Coupe’s mother was a pregnant stray that found us back in 2004. She gave birth to six kittens in our bathroom three weeks after we took her in. I wanted to keep one of the kittens (and their mom!) and chose Coupe because he was the only kitten of the six who didn’t scream his head off every time I picked him up. We found very good homes for the other kittens. Our neighbor took two of the kittens and we still see them regularly.
Our vet believes Coupe is part Maine Coon because of his size. He is extremely large and very heavy. He is not a very friendly cat, though. He is scared of just about everything and if he is outside he will viciously attack any dog that gets too close – including our own. He has even attacked me a few times when I’ve made a sudden noise by dropping something or closing a door too hard. My husband thinks Coupe has something mentally wrong with him – and maybe he does – but he’s a very nice cat when he’s calm. He loves to be pet (only his head and neck, though!) and have his shoulders massaged. Coupe has a very odd personality but we love him just the way he is. ![]() ![]() |

| Name: | Zephyrus |
Age: | Five years old |
| Gender: | Male |
Kind: | Cat |
| Home: | Waynesville, North Carolina, USA |
||
| Zephyrus lives at his very own bed and breakfast inn in the mountains of North Carolina, Iris Meadows Bed and Breakfast in Waynesville, which he adopted four and a half years ago. He is in charge of the gardens, mostly, where he plays and dozes and poses for guest photos. He often romps with his sister dog in the meadows. He spends his relaxing moments in the private innkeepers’ quarters as he is not allowed in guest areas because guests may have allergies or prefer not to have pets. That is also where he sleeps. Zephyrus was a very thin and hungry cat when he arrived. We first saw him nibbling on the leftover muffins and waffles that we toss into a far meadow for the birds. Gradually, he decided to stay.He also answers to “Zephy” and to “Mr. Z.” Yes, he has become quite a fixture here. He is very friendly with everyone now and playfully entertains everyone with his antics. He and our dog are great friends. He loves to ride so we advise guests to check for him in their car before departing. He keeps me company when I work in the gardens… he acts as if it is his job to scare off all the spiders and crawly critters for me. There is a particular guest he really likes, and he once brought her a live mouse… he kept placing his paw on its tail and releasing it in front of her so she would notice her “gift.”
This picture of him “Watching for Butterflies” won first place in our local animal rescue organization’s annual photo contest several years ago. His heart shaped tag reads “I have humans at the Inn at Iris Meadows” |

Kind: | Tuxedo |
| Home: | Raytown, Missouri, USA |

| Hello! My name is Frosty (formal name is Miss Frosty). My mommy gave me my name because of my white tummy – she says it looked like I walked through frost. She chose me because I’m so very cute. I had a brother, Mittens – we were born in the same litter. We don’t look alike, but he is my brother.When I came to live at my ‘fur’ever home, I met the cat who is my new big brother, Frisky (he’s a gray long haired cat). I love to play as you can see by the toy I’m holding in this picture. I also like to run and play chase with Frisky. Sometimes my mommy calls me a police car. You see, since I’m ‘black and white’ and run really, really fast, she thought that was a cute name for me. When I get tired, I like to curl up in my mommy’s lap. I’m pretty sure she likes it when I do that – I let her pet me and I purr really loud for her. Life is great at our house – there’s lots of love for me and Frisky. I’m so happy my mommy brought me home when I was just a little baby kitty! | |||
Can You Believe It Is Thursday Already?

Happy Thursday to all my dear friends! My hand is doing much better, so I figured I would whine at you a bit. I was totally amazed I haven’t written anything in about a week and I got a comment about me whining. Whining? What the hell am I whining about? I am nursing a sick hand. Good grief! Come to find out, it was from the same person that always writes to me about my whining. So I figure big deal, this person must really be a miserable person. I could go into preacher mode here but I won’t, lol!
I don’t know if you noticed or not but I am working on a new Goddess page, The Goddess Hecate. It was strange, I was working on the page and Kiki started raising heck. In case you are new to the blog, Kiki is my little Pomeranian familiar. Anyway, this was her bark that something was in the yard bark. So I got up to look and in the yard was a timber wolf. I liked to fell out in the floor. I went running through the house to the porch outside. I just had to see him. He came within about 100 feet from the porch. He was solid black and looked very mean and angry. Since it is unusual to see wolves during the day out in the open, I knew something had to be wrong. I first thought of him having rabies and what a brain I was for running out the door. But I took his appearance as a sign from Hecate. I wasn’t afraid of him at all. But then again, I haven’t run into a wild animal I am afraid of. I use caution around them and eventually I can become friends with them. Well when the wolf turned his side to me, I could see what the problem was. He was hurt on his side. My husband who run out behind me to see what the matter was immediately said, “Don’t you dare?” But as soon as my husband spoke, the wolf wandered off. I don’t know if the wolf comes back, I might try to help him. But the timber wolf is the meanest wolf there is. I don’t know just working on the page about Hecate and the wolf showing up, I sort of took it as a sign from Her. Perhaps She was happy I was finally doing a page on Her. Perhaps I am totally wrong and it was just a coincidence that the wolf showed up the same time I was doing Her page. But I thought it was unusual anyway. I have had other strange occurrences. I will tell you about them some other time. My hand is starting to act goofy, I can tell I have typed enough. I just had to share about the wolf showing up. I had a wolf-hybrid and I had to have her put to sleep after 15 years of companionship and love. So I love wolves.
Well I am going to go for now and get busy doing the Dailys. I would hate to think you fired me for not doing my job, lol. I hope you have a great Thursday.

Happy Wednesday, dear readers!

Even though neither one of these look like my cats, what can I say I love cats! My little baby, Razzy is turning into a Momma’s girl. She is so cute. I have been aiming to take a pic of her and put it on the blog. I just have to put the batteries in the camera, lol! We were playing in the floor last night. And Razzy is still not sure about my husband, she hopped up on the couch. When she did she ran right straight into hubby and she hissed at him. It was hilarious. She scared the crap out of him. He jumped ten feet off the couch, lol! But he didn’t appreciate it the way I did. I told him, she had been trying to get to know him but he didn’t want anything to do with her. So what did he expect. He is really pissed because I brought another animal into the house. We had both agreed that when Kiki and Stinky passed on, we wouldn’t have anymore. But that night I brought Razzy in, we had an argument. He got mad because I brought her in. Then I asked him what did he want me to do put her back outside? He was very compassionate about that, “NO! NO! NO!” What’s wrong with you, you want her to get ate too? I am sure you know the answer to that. I just know how to work hubby, hee, hee, hee! Thank goodness after all these years he hasn’t figured that out yet. But anyway, I am going to put some pics on here one way or the other.
Well I guess I better run for now. I hope you have a fantastic day.
Luv & Hugs,
Lady A
Good Thursday Morning Dearies!

I hope everyone is having a lovely Thursday so far. I am Spring Cleaning. I know it is a little late for Spring Cleaning but it is 105 outside. I just hate to see July and August if the temperatures are already like this. Alaska here I come! I started outside this morning. I went and bought a new water hose and also Round-Up. I was going strong at 5:30 a.m. I had to dodge two wildcats every time I made a move.
“AND HERE I MUST INTERJECT A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT’
I mentioned wildcats. I don’t know if you heard it on TV last night or not. But if you live in a wooded area were wildcats are known to roam, you need to be aware of this. There is a tick that lives on the wildcats. The ticks fall off the wildcats and gets on our indoor cats (only if you let them out). The ticks get on the indoor cats when they go outside. And give them “wildcat fever,” this is a fatal disease and there is no known cure for it. They said the cats get sick and they don’t know what it is till they do blood work. Then they find out the cats has “wildcat fever,” and it is too late, just a matter of time before the cat dies. They said the best way to avoid this is to keep your cats inside.
I caught hell last night for playing with two of my wildcats. But I don’t figure Stinker is in any danger. He is not close to them or around them. I am the one around them and I have always made it a practice to check myself for ticks.
Then I get throwed in my face perhaps I caught something from them. Remember when I had all the knots suddenly appearing on my head. Nobody knew what was causing the knots. Who knows I still have them popping out and (knock on wood) they haven’t killed me yet.
I love how this goes from me working my butt off to wildcat fever, Gee! Well I am going to go get me some more Cranberry juice (I have got to the point I crave this stuff, weird, huh?) and start posting. I hope everyone have a lovely day. Remember to keep your cats inside. Give’em a hug and kiss for me!
One more thing, you will notice there is a new post on the blog today, “Saint of the Day.” I have been asked by several Practitioners if I would include this daily and I said yes. So “Saint of the Day” will become a regular feature now. If you have anything you would like to see or request, just let me know and I will get it on here for you.
Wishing You A Very Blessed & Happy Saturday!

Good Afternoon my dearies! I know it is late in the afternoon but I am going to do things a little different today. I am going to just put on the horoscopes, tarot, I Ching and Runes. Then after that I am actually going to put on some interesting and useful info. That’ll be a first, lol! If you can’t poke fun at yourself, then no one can.
Hadn’t talked to everyone in a while, so I thought I would give you all a quick up-date. You know when I asked for your prayers for my son, his family and everyone else suffering from the flooding??? The water stopped 2 foot from getting into his house. I don’t want to toot your horn to soon because we had rain yesterday and it is also raining now. But I do have faith in you that as long as you continue to pray for him and everyone else, we will make it. May I ask you one more thing, there is a little boy who is in one of our hospitals about to die. The reason, his mother let him play in this nasty water, while she cleaned up some. I wish I knew the child’s name but I am not even suppose to know about this. So please pray for him and also pray for these parents around here that they exercise good judgement. The CDC came through here and tested the toxic levels in this nasty stuff. All the levels were off the chart. I believe if I had a kid right now about 5 or 6 and I had cleaning to do, I would nail him to the wall by his drawers.
But the water is starting to receded slowly but surely and I am sure life will return to normal. Now for my fun around here and oh, brother, has it been fun! NOT! Should I start with the idiot that is killing cats or the other idiots shooting coyote? Hmmmm……whatever is a Lady to do??? Let’s start with the cats. I had two cats that I was obviously crazy about. Either one of them were afraid of humans and now I wish they were and had never met me. I feel responsible because they lost their fear of humans. If they had just been kept wild then no one could have ever hurt them. The one that was pregnant was found dead in the field this morning. She had given birth to the kits several weeks ago and I was scared to death they would harm the momma cat. Sure enough, when they didn’t need her anymore they killed her. The big one that I wanted to keep so bad he was found dead in the field also, shot. I know who is doing it. I heard them talking one night while I was outside brushing KiKi. But hubby says without proof we can’t do anything. I don’t know what kind of proof I need? Get my camera and follow them out into the field. Then ask them to smile for the camera? That wouldn’t work at all. I would want to beat the hell out of them, then they would call the Law. But having dumped so many animals, I am sure they wouldn’t call the Law at all. I might end up like one of those animals out in the field. Now on to the people shooting coyotes. They move a trailer way out in the middle of the field. Right in the middle of every animals’ path you can imagine. Well I have been going out in the afternoon and looking at the coyotes with my field binoculars. (Yes, I hunt.) On the horizon, I saw pups a playing. It was hard to tell if they were coyote or wolf. Momma Whatever would never come up to see her babies play and check on them. But she wasn’t too far away, they all took off in a hurry. I asked the man who was doing the coyote hunting if he ran across a den of young coyotes/wolves, to let me know. I also asked him not to shoot all of them please. If it wasn’t too much trouble for him to bring me one. He did one better and made my day. He told me if they ran across a den he would send his boy over to get me and I could go with them to the den. I asked if I could take all of the pups with me. He looked at me like, “Why?” I told him I knew of enough Rescues that would take the other. There was no need to kill them all. He agreed with me. He even asked me if I wanted to go out in the future and collect the pups (if any) and turn them over to a rescue. I love animals, so what could I say, lol! But that did make my day. The man doing the coyote hunts use to come over while Mocha was alive. She was more Wolf than dog and she was a beautiful animal. But she was very protective of me and when the man came over, he always wanted to pet Mocha. I would tell her it was ok and she would let him pet her. So he knows I miss her and why I would want a coyote or wolf pup. Kiki would have to get use to it. Especially her not ruling the roost anymore, lol!
Have a great Saturday,
Lady A
