The Witches Magick for Oct. 17th – Silver Moon Spell

magick21

Silver Moon Spell

This spell is called the Silver Moon Spell. Use it when you want to attract abundance.

You Will Need:

Your magickal broom

Cauldron/metal bowl

Fresh Water

Silver Coin

The spell should be done during the Full Moon.

Choose an outdoor space where you have a clear view of the moon, without any trees or houses blocking it.

Sweep your magickal space with the broom, and create your circle using natural Elements such as stones or twigs.

Fill the cauldron half full with water and position it so that the light of the Full Moon reflects in the water that is in the cauldron.

Drop the silver coin into the cauldron.

Gently sweep your hands just above the surface of the water, you are gathering the silver of the Moon.

As you do this, say the following

“Lovely Lady Of The Moon,
Bring to me your wealth right soon.
“Fill my hands with Your silver and gold,
all you give my hands will hold.”

Concentrate deeply on your needs, and focus on the thought of the endless abundance that exists. Focus on attracting a piece of that abundance to you.

When you have finished your spell, pour out the water onto the ground. Take the silver coin and keep it in your pocket until your fortunes begin to change.

God and Goddess, Quiet My Mind

pagan

God and Goddess
Help me to quiet my mind
And calm my Spirit
Let me seek my calm
And grounded center
And connect with the Earth
Let me be as one with the Elements
In their calmest forms—

The still pool
The soothing wind in the leaves
The crackle of the home fire burning
And let me be at peace
Quiet the voices that haunt me
And cease my circular thoughts
So I might think, and rest, and be

God and Goddess
Help me to quiet my mind
And calm my Spirit.

So Mote It Be

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – October 16

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – October 16

“Many religions have been brought to this land. And the way my religion is, they teach me, and they taught me, and told me to respect all religions. And I still do that.”

–Horace Axtell, NEZ PERCE

The Creator put on this Earth many different religions which represent different roads to walk to God. All religions are right and good if the path is the path to God. Should we be judging which road is better or worse than the other? When we accept each other’s way we can stand in a circle, hold hands and listen to each other as we pray to God. Let us be more accepting of the religions of others.

Great Spirit – God, Grandfather, Grandmother, Lord – let me know peace.

‘Hail to thee white swan on the river. Present life, tide turner, moving
through the streams of life, all hail.
Mother of old and new days, to you, through you, this night we cling to
your aura.
Pure reflection, total in belief, touched by Your presence, I am in your
power and wisdom.
I praise Your power, your peace, my power, my peace.
I am strong, I praise, I bless.’

Replace the bowl on your altar. Stand for a few moments while appreciating the power of the Moon.

Communicate with Her now. Tell Her your problems, wishes and anything you wish to tell her. When you are finished say:

All honor and love to the wonderful Goddess, for She is the power behind all powers, the Goddess behind all gods, the Eternal Life behind death. I see Her loving face within the moon and rejoice. All Hail Queen of the heavens and the earth, the eternal on of Wisdom!”

Raise the chalice to toast her and say:

To Diana and all the Goddesses!”

Close the circle when done.

A Full Moon Ritual For Energy

A Full Moon Ritual For Energy

A ritual to be used on the full moon to charge you up.

Use this ritual to bring specific lunar energies into your life. It should be carried out on the evening of the full moon or as close as you can. When calling for help to finish things left undone, but you can use the same method and much of the ritual for any of the full moons. You can also use this ritual without focusing on a specific full moon, for bringing plans to fruition or for an extra surge of energy when you need it to overcome an obstacle or seize an opportunity.
* Light a row of three silver candles, two of the same size for the waxing and waning phases and one much larger in the centre for the full moon.
* Light three sticks of jasmine or mimosa incense.
* Take a branch from a willow or any other tree or plant that grows near water, and on it hang three silver baubles; one should be very large. If you have no baubles, make discs from silver foil. Silver is the colour and metal of the Moon. Add nine tiny, silver-coloured bells, hung with thread.
* If the full moon is visible, use a hand mirror, silver if possible, to direct its light toward the tree or plant, saying:
Isis, mother of the Moon, your power this night bring to me soon.
Your silver radiance on me shine, your fertile light now strengthen mine.
Full moon, full glory, fill my heart, your loving wisdom to me impart.
Mother Isis, your child I call, uplift and guide me lest I fall.
(You can, instead of Isis, choose your own Moon goddess if you prefer or just invoke the Moon mother.)
* Now with silver thread or ribbons, bind the tree and the baubles with nine loose knots, saying: I bind your tree with tasks undone, Maiden, Mother, not yet Crone. I bind your strength my race not won, I take the power and it is done.
* Moon Magick *
*Pull all your knots undone, one after the other, and shake the tree, ring the bells and the energy is released.
* Leave the candles to burn down in a safe place. Leave the branch or plant still hung with silver baubles and bells throughout the week of the full moon and use the week to focus on your specific Moon theme. Sit, if you can, for a few minutes each night by silver candlelight and see yourself surrounded by an orb of silver light. Maximize the possibilities in your everyday world. You can adapt the words to suit the different months and, if you wish, rest an appropriate symbol in the branch, tied on with silver ribbon, for example, a toy horse during the month Equos, for travel and the expansion of horizons, mental as well as physical.

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aries Horoscopes (Oct. 18th)

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aries Horoscopes

Discover the energies at play for your sign during this fiery Full Moon…

Jeff Jawer    Jeff Jawer on the topics of lunar eclipse, horoscopes, full moon, eclipse, astrology, aries

This opposition of the independent Aries Moon and the accommodating Libra Sun on October 18, 2013, at 7:38 p.m. EDT, is a contrast between self-interest and putting others first. But it’s also a Lunar Eclipse that reminds us to let go of habits that keep us isolated from others. Going it alone is often commendable as a signal of individuality and strength, yet the message here is that while engaging with others adds complexity to our lives, there’s much more to be gained than lost.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

This Full Moon in your fiery sign is a Lunar Eclipse that signals the need to take a step back, breathe deeply and turn down the heat of your emotions. Passion is a wonderful thing but pushing too hard and too fast is more likely to produce panic than progress. The counsel and support of an objective individual can help you to let go of an old habit that’s keeping you from heading in an exciting new direction.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

This impulsive Aries Full Moon lands in your 12th House of Secrets to arouse feelings of restlessness and rebellion. You may be in the mood to break some rules, which is both exciting and risky. If you’re going to ride this wave of boldness, do something original and creative that makes you feel stronger. Taking chances in a positive direction will produce less trouble and be more rewarding than being angry.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

The impatient Aries Full Moon eclipse could shake relationships with friends and colleagues. It lands in your 11th House of Groups where pressures could rise within organizations and among teammates. If you’re battling over an old issue, it’s time to change the playing field so that these habitual irritations finally end. Breaking patterns and, perhaps, ending alliances may be the way to do it.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

Professional matters could take a sudden turn with this fiery Aries Full Moon eclipse in your 10th House of Career. If you’ve pushed too hard or are burdened by new responsibilities, you may need to seek support in meeting them. Slowing down, changing directions and getting help from others will reduce stress. If you’re initiating a bold business move, making adjustments could be your key to success.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22)

Plans for travel could shift with this Full Moon eclipse in your 9th House of Faraway Places. Careful preparation is a good way to avoid complications. This part of your chart is also about learning and beliefs, so you might have to adjust your educational plans to reach your long-term goals. Going faster at this time could simply take you further off course, so slow down and think twice before making a major decision.

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22)

This fiery Aries Full Moon eclipse lands in your 8th House of Deep Sharing where it can shake up a key personal or professional relationship. Don’t let overhyped enthusiasm lead to impulsive behavior because the outcome may be very far from your expectations. Reaching out and making connections is fine as long as you keep a flexible attitude that allows you to make adjustments or back out if it’s not working.

Libra (Sept. 23 – Oct. 22)

Keeping the peace in partnerships might not be easy with this fiery Aries Full Moon eclipse in your 7th House of Relationships. It could be that you’re getting bored with a personal or professional alliance that’s just not going anywhere. It’s worth standing and fighting, though, if you can find a fresh perspective on the situation. If not, it might be time to cut your losses and seek alliances with more amenable people.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21)

Your work life could be altered with this restless Aries Full Moon eclipse in your 6th House of Employment. Pushing harder to get new projects off the ground may not get them going any faster. It’s smarter to develop your skills and refine systems to make them more efficient than to race ahead without building a solid foundation. Brilliant ideas may arise in an instant but turning them into reality takes time.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21)

Your desire to play and take risks tends to increase with this fiery Aries Full Moon in your 5th House of Romance and Self-Expression. But this Sun-Moon opposition is also a Lunar Eclipse, which can turn what sounds like a fun idea into one you’d rather avoid. The point is to be a little less impulsive in your pursuit of pleasure and in your professional presentations. Be sure to lay a solid foundation before taking a leap.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19)

Domestic issues could heat up with this fiery Aries Full Moon in your 4th House of Home and Family. This event is also a Lunar Eclipse that’s more about cleaning up the past than pushing forward with new projects and plans. Dealing with unfinished personal business requires a fresh approach to be successful. Persistence may be one of your strengths, but innovation and adaptability will be more useful to you now.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18)

Brilliant ideas could be popping with the innovative Aries Full Moon in your 3rd House of Information. Enthusiastic conversations might assure you that you’re on the right track. However, this event is also a Lunar Eclipse in the communications area of your chart that could lead to sudden changes of mind. Double check data and agreements with others to make sure that what’s been said before still holds true.

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20)

Money matters could change suddenly with this Aries Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in your 2nd House of Assets. This is not the ideal time to make some fast cash so be leery about any get rich quick schemes. On the plus side, this is an opportunity to clean up unfinished financial issues like reducing debt or other economic obligations. Going leaner in spending now will provide you with more resources when you need them later.

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – October 14

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – October 14

“Each soul must meet the morning sun, the new sweet earth and the Great Silence alone!”

–Ohiyesa (Dr. Charles A. Eastman), SANTEE SIOUX

The most important thing we can do during the course of the day is pray in the morning. There is a special time in the morning that has great power. This is the exact time the sun is rising. During the rising of the sun, everything on the Earth is waking up. Animals, plants, birds and humans will be blessed at the rising of the sun. This is a special time to help us prepare for the day. During this time we ask the Creator to bless our day. We ask Him to guide us, to protect us and to give us courage to overcome the day’s obstacles. Doing this everyday will give us knowledge of God’s will for us.

Grandfather, Grandmother, guide my path. Let my thinking be guided by You.

I Don’t Suppose You Ever Heard The Phrase, “As Above, So Below?”

cat

As Above, So Below

Perhaps you’ve heard the saying “As above, so below.” What does this mean? Basically, this phrase, common among witches, reminds you that everything in this world is part of a pattern that’s reflected elsewhere in the universe and the astral plane. And, vice versa, everything in the rest of the universe and the astral plane has some shadowy symbology in the here-and-now. This point is very important to spiritual seekers: it allows for the possibility that there is something magickal but substantive “out there” that may be seen and interpreted. It also provides some measure of hope that those mysteries, which have been around for a very long time, will slowly be revealed and understood.

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – October 10

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – October 10

“I think that’s what unity is – knowing one another and coming together and working with no conflict.”

–Chief Alan Wilson, HAIDA

When we are aligned with spiritual values, we cannot be in fear or conflict. When we are aligned to spiritual values, we have the Creator whispering solutions in our ears. Unity is one of the spiritual values. When we value unity we value solutions. If we think this way, then we have no conflict within ourselves.

Great Spirit, let me see through Your eyes.
