Eating Disorder Banishing Spell

For maximum effect, this spell should coincide with a waning moon.

1. Add essential oil of fennel to olive oil or create infused oil of fennel.

2. Dress a small black candle with this oil.

3. Hold the (unlit) candle in your hands and visualize your pain and bad habits flowing from your body into the candle. Try to purge yourself of all negative urges and emotions, at least momentarily.

4. When you feel this has been accomplished, put the candle down and pick up a moonstone in your left hand, and a clear quartz in your right.

5. Bury the candle, not too close to your home. (If it is buried on your property, make it the furthest point from the house.) Place the crystals in a pretty charm bag and keep them with you constantly, cleansing them frequently and recharging when needed.

BANISHING SPELL TO STOP HARM

This will protect without causing the person bound any harm.
It is not a dark spell but a very potent protective one.
You may use a different oil if you wish to use as a banishing oil.
Rosemary may be substituted for Rue.
Materials: 1 black taper or image candle (gender depends on who you are trying to bind) nail
black cloth a large piece of black cloth red ribbon cotton needle and thread
Banishing oil loose tobacco A small mirror that can stand by itself
If you can obtain hair or nail clippings from the person or a picture, you can use it in this spell.
Fold the felt in half and cut out a rough shape of the person you want to bind.
Make the figure large enough so that you will be able to stuff it after you have sewn it together.
Sew the pieces of the poppet together, leaving a hole through which you can stuff the poppet.
Fill it with cotton and tobacco, and if you have the hair or nail clippings of the person, add those to it.
Once it is filled, sew the opening closed. If you have a picture of the person,
staple or sew it to the front of the poppet.
Next, care the name of the person onto the black candle with the nail and add these runes:
Thuraz, Isa, Eihwas, a dark filled in circle to represent the dark moon,
bars like you will see in a jail, and a widdershins (anticlockwise) spiral.
Anoint the candle and the poppet with the oil.
Cast a circle, invoke the elements, God or Goddess you are working with.
Light the altar candles.
Light the black candle and adjust the mirror so that flame is reflected in the glass.
Hold the poppet out in front of you and say:
“Creature of cloth thou art,
Creature of flesh and blood you be.
I name you (name of the person you are binding).
No more shall you do me harm.
No more shall you repeat false tales.
No more shall you interfere in my life, nor in the lives of my loved ones.
By the power of the Gods and by my will, So mote it be!”
Draw an invoking pentagram over the poppet.
Now take the ribbon and begin to wrap the poppet like a mummy,
leaving no space unwrapped. Say:
“I bind your feet from bringing harm to me.
I bind your hands from reaching out to harm me.
I bind your mouth from spreading false tales to harm me.
I bind your mind from sending energy to harm me.
If you do so continue, let all negative energy be cast and reflected directly at you!”
Tie off the ribbon and hold the poppet in front of the mirror while you visualize all negative
energy this person has sent to you being reflected back at them.
Wrap the poppet in the black cloth and tie with another length of ribbon. Say:
“Great Mother, I have bound this person
from harming me and my loved ones.
By the powers of three times three
By Earth and Fire, Air and Sea
I fix this spell, then set it free
Twill give no harm to return to me
As I will, So mote it be!”
Let the candle burn out while the poppet sits at its base, then take the poppet
and the remains of the candle far from your home and bury it deep in the ground
or toss it in the ocean and walk away without looking back.

A “KITCHEN WITCH” REVERSING SPELL

The following ingredients are needed

three red candles
(if possible) 1 black
candle if you can’t get a black candle without raising
eyebrows, go ahead and get a brand new black permanent
marker. Do not use this marker for anything else but this
type of spell if you can help it.)
rue
oil or get hold of some bulk rue … and a small bottle of
olive oil.A small candle holder and a clean piece of paper and a red
pen to write with are the next things.(again, a new pen if
possible, saving it for this type of spell. A good thing to
do is to get a variety of colored pens to save for doing
specific spells

You can do this whenever you feel the things in your life are not going the direction you’d wish

Melt the black wax of the candle in a double boiler and dip the lower half of the red candles in it, making the black wax coat the bottom half. Or, if you must, cover the lower half of the red candles with the black magic marker.

On a night where you can block everyone out for a while, take a bath with either sea salt or regular salt (1 tsp is enough) and a bit of rue oil or rue (cut or ground, doesn’t matter). Do not towel dry yourself, go ahead and air dry. (You can wear whatever you normally wear to do spells, but you definitely want to air dry.)

Then, get out the rue oil or, in a small bowl, mix 3 tablespoons of ground or cut rue and 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil. Coat one candle with the oil or oil-herb mixture, anointing from the middle out, going counter clockwise. Do the bottom half first, then the top. You’ll be doing this spell over three consecutive nights, so save the rest of the candles and the oil in a safe place.

On the piece of paper, write down what you’d like to see reversed from you; i.e. bad luck in love, financial problems, trouble from an anemy, inability to find what you need in your life, etc. Get thoughtful and make sure it’s something you really want to send away.

Place the piece of paper under the candle holder (it would probably be smart to put this in a pie plate or some other fireproof container), charge the candle with your desire to see these things or trends gone, and light the candle, using a lighter only (no matches).

Do this again for the next two nights, and once you’re done, burn the piece of paper, seeing your life as if a weight lifted from it.

If there’s any leftover wax, collect it in a brown paper bag and bury that someplace far from you, or throw in a trash can across town! Then forget about it, don’t worry over it, just know it worked.

You can do this whenever you feel the things in your life are not going the direction you’d wish, and different candle colors can be used for specific reversals. This is for general, overall reversals.

Today’s Meditation for October 26th – Autumn candle meditation

New Age Comments & Graphics

Autumn candle meditation

The season I like best is autumn. When the weather is fine, I like to go outside, enjoying the last warm rays of a sun that is quickly loosing its strength, and watching the changing colours and the winds that carry away the leaves from the trees. When the weather is rainy, however, I like to do an autumn candle meditation.
For this meditation, you need: a rainy day, at least half an hour of time when you will not be disturbed and a comfortable chair that faces a window with a good view. I like to do this in the attic where the rain is drumming on the roof light, or in a place where I can look out into the garden. You also need a cup of hot tea, maybe a blanket and of course a candle.

Prepare your tea, and make yourself comfortable, facing the window. Start the meditation by lighting the candle. Be calm and relaxed. If you want to, focus on your breath for a few minutes in order to relax. Then, allow yourself to watch the autumn rain. Enjoy the warmth of your tea. Let everything else go. No hurry, no planning, no reflection – just let everything else go. Whenever your mind wanders back to something that happened yesterday, just bring it back to the moment. Whenever you start thinking about something you will have to do tomorrow, just come back to the present moment. Be present. Whenever you feel anger, fear, stress, let it go and come back to the present moment. Just be.
End the meditation by blowing out the candle

Five-Candle Spell for Creativity (Blood/Harvest Moon)

The purpose of this spell is to enhance and excite your creativity through ritual and dream.

You will need your wand, a ballpoint pen, two green candles, two red candles, a white candle and music conductive to dream magick.

After dark, draw a magick circle and call in the Elements. Write Copper/Venus on one green candle, and write Lead/Saturn on the other green candle. Write Tin/Jupiter on one red candle and Iron/Mars on the other one. Then, write Quicksilver/Mecury on the white candle. Imagine a pentacle on your altar, and at the top of the pentacle place the white candle and its holder. On the arm and leg on the left side, place the two green candles and on the right side place the red candles. As you light each candle, repeat:

“Copper tin, lead, iron, and mercury
Come empower my divine creativity.”

Turn on the music. Use your magick wand to draw a clockwise line of light around the parameter of the pentacle, connecting all of the candles together. As you do so, say:

“Copper, tin, lead iron and mercury
Let this star shine with divine creativity.”

Let the candles burn safely down and leave the circle until the morning. Play your dream magick music as you drift off to sleep. Give yourself the suggestion that your dreams will be especially creative tonight. In the morning, write down any dreams you have, bid farewell to the Elements, and pull up the circle.

White Light Meditation (Blood/Harvest Moon)

White Light Meditation

(Blood/Harvest Moon)

Before you go to sleep, turn on soft instrumental music. Lie back and get comfortable. Slowly inhale, filling your insides with air. Hold your breath momentarily before exhaling until all the air has left your lungs. Do several more deep breaths, each time becoming more relaxed and aware of your inner sensations.

Let your mind move like a spotlight searching out any negative energy that you may be harboring from the day. Gather up all these troubled feelings and move them downward into your legs and feet. With your mind, open up the drain at the tips of your big toes, and begin letting all those negative feelings drain out of you.

Now plug up the hold in your feet and open a larger hole located on the top of your head. Steams of white light pour into the crown of your head and begin pouring down into your throat and heart areas. Soon your entire body is filled with this white light that can transform into anything you need from courage to love. As you drift to sleep, imagine being filled with this white light.

Elemental Shape-Shifting (Blood/Harvest Moon)

Elemental Shape-Shifting

(Blood Moon)

In this spell, you will use the different elements to help you shift shapes into different animals and magickal beings.

You will need a clear quartz crystal, cedar incense, a green candle and a chalice of water. Begin by staring deep within the crystal. Merge (become one) with it and say:

Elemental powers of earth

Transform and shift within me

So Mote It Be!

Light the incense, and merge with the smoke as it glides lightly through the air, while you say:

Elemental powers of air

Transform and shift within me

So Mote It Be!

Light the candle and merge into the flame as you say:

Elemental powers of fire

Transform and shift within me

So Mote It Be!

Stare deep within the chalice of water. Merge with it and say:

Elemental powers of water

Transform and shift within me

So Mote It Be!

Lie back and meditate as the power of the elements shifts you into different animals. You become a bear emerging from its cave, a bird spreading its wings on the wind, a dragon breathing fire out of its nostrils, and a water sprite frolicking in the mist of a waterfall.

Blood/Harvest Moon Ritual Mist

Blood/Harvest Moon Ritual Mist

Use this mist to fill you with the vitality of the Goddess.

You will need one cup of distilled water, three drops of lavender essential oil, one drop of rose essential oil, one drop of chamomile essential oil, and a white candle. Mix all the ingredients together in a spray bottle. As you shake the bottle, chant:

Great Goddess of eternal life
Invigorate this liquid with your divine light.

Light the candle and place the bottle of mist in front of the candle so that the light shines through it. Stare deep into the liquid and merge with it. Energize the mist with the vitality and divine life force of the bright Goddess. Close your eyes and spray the mist over your face. As your spray it on yourself, sense the light of the Goddess glowing within you and all around you.

Blood (Harvest) Moon Ritual

Blood Moon Ritual

The Blood Moon is the last of the harvest moons, and the one closest to Samhain, the time when the veil between this world and the Otherworld is the thinnest. Also known as “moon of the changing season” and “failing leaf moon” the Blood Moon represents the death of one cycle and the birth of a new cycle. Blood is the life force that flows through your physical body. The Blood Moon ritual gives you the opportunity to give thanks and celebrate this life force.

For this ritual, you will need a white candle, a red candle, a red apple, a chalice full of cranberry juice, and three daffodil bulbs.

Draw a magick circle and call in the elements. Light the white candle and say:

I light this candle for eternal light.

Light the red candle and say:

I light this candle for eternal life.

Give thanks to the Goddess before eating the apple:

Divine Lady, I thank you for your gift of life.

Place any seeds from the apple on the altar. Take the chalice of juice and go to each of the four directions while calling out:

Oh great and mighty one, ruler of eternal life

Our blood runs together as One on this sacred night.

Thank the Goddess and bid farewell to the elements. Pull up the circle and in the morning, take the three daffodil bulbs and plant them into the ground. They represent the eternal life of the divine Goddess being renewed for the next year. Return the apple seeds to the earth.

Season Ritual

Season Ritual
By: Willow Myst, White Moon School

This is a ritual for Hallows. I was thinking that, if he’s willing, my husband and I could do this together, late at night after our
children are done with trick or treat and fast asleep.

Intent: Banish our fears and inspire our hopes for the new year
Need: Jack-O-Lantern already lit
black and white candles
Paper and pen/pencil for each person
Bowl of cooked pumpkin seeds (from Jack-O-Lantern)
Cauldron/pot for burning paper

Fold papers in half lengthwise. Then on the left half, write fears you’d like to banish and on the right half write your hopes for the future. Then light the black candle to represent banishing the fears. Tear the sheet in half and take the fear half and light it on fire from the Jack-O-Lantern. Light the white candle to represent your hopes. If you are doing this with a partner, take turns reading out loud your hopes and eat a pumpkin seed for each one. Hang your lists of hopes somewhere you can read them everyday.

About the Author: Willow Myst is a mother of two wonderful children and currently studying to become a Priestess of the Order of the White Moon.

Lady A’s Spell Of The Day for Oct. 11th: Turn The Tables Spell

Is someone making your life difficult? Turn the tables on that person with the spell below.

Best time to perform this spell:

  • Anytime

Items you will need:

  • A candle
  • A candle holder
  • A small mirror
  • A photo of your tormentor (if possible)
  • Matches

  • Place the candle in its holder and set it on top of the photo at one end of a table. If you can’t obtain a photo, inscribe your enemy’s name on the candle – the candle represents the person who’s causing you trouble.
  • Light the candle, then seat yourself at the other end of the table.
  • Hold the mirror so that it reflects the flame and say aloud:

“Behold this mirror is my shield. Your wicked way will be revealed. Any evil that you do will instantly turn back on you.”

  • Imagine the mirror deflecting harm away from you and back onto the other person.
  • When you’ve finished, snuff out the candle.
  • Hang the mirror on the outside of the door to your home or office to ward off unwanted energies.
  • Melt the candle completely and bury the residue along with the photo far from your home.

Charging a Smudge Stick or Herbs

Whether you make your own smudge stick, use a prepared one or are planning to burn herbs in a bowl, you can endow them with power.

If you are using a smudge stick, hold it between your hands. If you are using a bowl, place your herbs in the bowl and hold this during the ritual.

In this ritual, we will use the six directions recognized by the Native North Americans:  the four main compass points, then downwards and finally upwards. Begin in the East, important to Native North Americans as the direction of dawn. Indeed a number of western practitioners start traditional magickal rituals by facing the East and opening the watchtowers here. Start with the North for security. If indoors, ventilate the room well.

  • Stand so that there is space round you.
  • Light a circle of red or natural beeswax candles in deep holders, one at each main direction and one in the center to ignite the smudge. If this is part of a ritual outdoors, you can visualize a ring of fire and omit the candles except for the one used to light the smudge. If you do light directional candles, light the central candle and then the candle of the East, South and so on. During the ritual you can move and stand by each, facing outwards in the appropriate direction of you wish.
  • Light the smudge from the central candle. Standing in the center of your fire wheel, face first the East, the direction of Dawn and Spring. Raise your stick or bowl and say:

“I greet the freshness of Dawn and brightness of the new morning. Fill, I ask, tee my sacred herbs with new life and swiftness of purpose.”

  • Turn next to the South, direction of Moon and Summer. Lite your smudge stick or bowl upwards and say:

“I greet the brilliance of noon and its radiant fire. Fill, I ask, these my sacred herbs with inspiration, integrity and courage.”

  • Face the West, direction of Dusk and Autumn and once more raise your smudge tools, saying:

“I greet the deepening skies and the first star of evening. Fill, I ask, thee my sacred herbs with love and healing.”

  • Face the North, direction of Midnight and Winter. Life your stick or bowl, saying:

“I welcome the darkness and the time of quiet repose.. Fill these sacred herbs with acceptance of what cannot be changed and with the wisdom of the ancestors.”

  • Standing still in the center of your actual or visualized fire circle, next to the central candle, lower the smudge towards the Earth and say:

“Kind Mother Earth, bless your own sacred herbs and absorb all that is not worthy of beauty in this wand of herbs and in my intentions.”

  • Finally, lift your stick or bowl high in the air, saying:

“Father Sky, bless these sacred herbs that my wishes and prayers may rise and be transformed into whatever is right and of worth.”

  • Some practitioners end with Mother Earth, or you can vary it according to the nature of the ritual.
  • As well as charging your herbs with power, you can create a complete ritual by facing and invoking the six directions with your smudge and then smudging yourself as a means of empowerment or protection. Alternatively, you can empower a symbol by carrying it to each of the four directions in turn and smudging it while declaring the purpose of the ritual.
  • You can end by lowering it to the Earth and smudging it there, and finally raising it upwards and releasing the energies in the smudge skywards.

Lighting Smudge

  • Use long matches or a candle but do not get wax on the smudge.
  • Light the tip of the smudge.
  • Let the flame die down and then blow the stick until the end glows red and smoke begins to curl upwards. Take time to get it really smoking well, especially outdoors on damp days.
  • If you are using candles at the quarters of a circle in ritual, you can briefly hold the smudge into each flame in turn as you address the quarters.
  • Keep a fire source like a candle in a safe holder near where you are smudging. If the stick goes out, you can relight it any time during the ritual, adding a blessing at the same time.

Lady A’s Spell of the Day for Oct. 4th – Clear The Air

Clear The Air Ritual

An argument or upsetting experience has left bad vibes in your living space. To rid your home of disruptive energy, perform this cleansing ritual.

What you will need:

  • A broom
  • A bowl
  • Water
  • Sea salt
  • Sage (bundled, loose or incense)
  • A fireproof holder that you can carry easily
  • Matches

Best time to perform this ritual: Any time

If possible, open the windows and doors. Start sweeping your home with a broom – not just the floor, but the air as well. Wave the broom through the entire area, side to side, up and down, until you feel you’ve whisked away the emotional dirt. Sprinkle a little in each corner of your home, then flick some water in the center of each room.

Finally, put the sage into the holder and light it. Blow out the flames and let it smoke. Carry the burning sage from room to room, allowing its cleansing smoke to clear the air and restore peace to your home.
