THE WILLOW KNOT SPELL
To win the love of a young lady, according to the old Gypsy Witch lore, a young man must go into the woods on Saint Johns Day (mid- summer) and find some willow twigs that have grown together into a knot. With a sharp, white handled knife, he must cut the twigs, put them into his mouth, and repeat the following incantation with his eyes closed.

First, gather a fresh rose and two red candles, and find out the time of sunrise the next morning. Just before you go to sleep, place a red candle on each side of the rose. The next morning at sunrise, take the rose outside or sit by an open window facing east, keeping the rose in front of you. Inhale the perfume and say aloud:
THIS RED ROSE IF FOR TRUE
LOVE TRUE LOVE COME TO ME.
Now go back indoors and put the rose in it’s original position. Light the candles and imagine love burning in the heart of the one you long for. Keep the candles lit day and night until the rose fades (if they are extinguished, the incantation will be broken). When the rose is dead, pinch out the candles and bury the rose.

5 Facts for Successful Spellcasting:
Passion fuels a successful spell; doubt can kill it.
Spells can be performed almost anywhere — though I don’t recommend attempting
it while in the midst of rush-hour traffic! You do need to work without being
disturbed when you cast a spell. So find a quiet and private place, preferably
outdoors.
Once you’ve cast a spell, don’t talk about it — or even think about it — for
24 hours!
An old axiom says that spells should rhyme. A rhymed spell has rhythm and
joyfulness in it, it’s easy to remember and repeat, and the repetition itself
creates an altered, magical consciousness.
A spell is only used to control yourself, never another or Nature and remember,
you should not do spellwork on someone else’s behalf without their permission.

Spells and spell casting
When talking about spells and spell casting you can get into some sticky
situations. No other subject can cause so many divisions in the pagan
community.
It seems that there are as many different ways and ethical practices as
there are gods and goddesses in the universe. If you take into
consideration that spells and the way you cast them is what makes them
effective it begins to make perfect sense why.
In effective spell casting there are three very important ingredients that
you must have, resolve, focus, and comfort.
Without resolve there can be no change, it is your commitment to an action
that is the basis of a spell. You have to really want it! Without a genuine
intention to effect a change you are casting magic to the wind, cluttering
up an otherwise flowing universe. Spells without resolve can be detrimental
undirected or worse misdirected energy is free to change unknown
situations.
Make sure you really want the change you are trying to make. When you get
it, it’s yours. This is where a little divination would come in handy to
make sure you will be truly happy with the outcome of your spell.
Focus, direction, or meditation, how good can aim? The focus of your spell
casting is as important as the resolve to make a change. If you can’t see
the broad side of a barn you will not have the ability to effect a change
on it. You have to be able to taste it! If you physically build a dog
house, you have to have some idea what it will look like when you are done.
A spell is like a dog house, if you don’t know what it’s supposed to look
like when your done, you could very well end up with a failed attempt or
worse. You have to belive it’s possible. If you can’t belive that something
is possible it’s not. Anything is possible if you truly belive it can
happen. If you belive you can make a change and you know how the change
will take place and you can picture the end result of your spell, you are
there.
Comfort is easy, if you can’t ethically accept the responsibility for your
spell or there is something that bothers you about what you are trying to
do or how you are going about it, don’t. You are the power in your spell,
you are the creator and the control.
Poor comfort will mess up your focus and your resolve. Without comfort you
will have a very poor spell at best.
SPELL WORKING

Because of the very nature of magick, each working should be highly
individualized and personal. Even if following a traditional spell, it should
be tailored to your specific needs to be most effective for you.
Understanding the basics of spell construction will enable you to formulate
your own specific, effective spells for any purpose you desire.
Preliminary planning is necessary. The very first step is to decide precisely
what your desired end result is to be. Before you can start, you must decide
where you are going. You must be very explicit.
It is important, also, that you choose your time carefully. You should take
into consideration all astrological implications, energy currents and moon
phases.
The moon is the astronomical body closest to us and, therefore, has a profound
influence upon us, it is very important to choose a time when the moon is in
an astrological sign which is appropriate for your working.
For example:
Aries/action – enthusiasm
Taurus/renewal – sensuality
Gemini/communication – curiosity
Cancer/emotion – nurturing
Leo/vitality – determined
Virgo/organizing – studious
Libra/balance – cooperation
Scorpio/sexual – philosophical
Sagitarius/strength – humour
Capricorn/authority – ambitious
Aquarius/innovation – social
Pisces/sensitivity – idealistic.
Bear in mind that magickal workings for gain, increase or bringing things to
you, should be initiated when the moon is waxing (from dark to full); when
the moon is waning (from full to dark), it is time for magickal workings of
decrease or sending away.
The highest energy occurs at the full moon and, therefore, this is the most
powerful time for magickal workings. The new moon is the next most powerful
time for magick.
Whenever possible, follow nature’s natural energy currents. There is a
natural time for starting things (a planting time), for maturing things (a
growing time), for reaping things ( a harvest time) and, of course, a time for
rest and planning.
Flowing with these currents will make your magickal work much easier. remember
to plan your project for a time of uninterrupted privacy. It is important
that you have no distractions. Generally speaking, it is best to work as late
at night as possible. A time when there is less frantic energy is most
appropriate. You might consider midnight or later.
In choosing a place to do your magickal working pay particular attention to
your needs, for you must be comfortable. Your place should be private, quiet
and secure. If at all possible, set aside a special place for this purpose
only. An unused room, a special corner of your bedroom, a quiet, secluded
spot in your garden. A place that is yours. A place that you can come to
whenever need arises and that is as free from intrusion of others as possible.
Prior to the night of your magickal working, gather together the things that
you will need. All of the things used are tools. They have no inherent
magick. They are to help you create a mood. If correctly made and used, they
will trigger primitive responses from deep within you. They should be chosen
with care. Consider the purpose of your ritual and choose your tools
accordingly. If your magick is to be sexual, your candles, oils, incenses and
so forth, should bring forth a sexual response. If the desired result of your
magick is tranquillity, then the tools should make you feel calm, peaceful and
serene. Any candles you might use should not have commercially added
fragrances as these may not be appropriate for your working.
Prior to your ritual, prepare yourself and your equipment by any means
necessary to clean and purify. Historically, people have fasted, followed
meticulous and detailed bathing practices, practiced chastity and used many
other methods.
Most often a ritual bath is the preferred method. A bath frequently utilizing
candlelight, fragrant herbs, bath salts or sensuous oils. A sumptuous hot
bath, special bathing preparations and appropriate lighting, combined, can
create the soothing effect which will help in the very important step of
relaxing and clearing the mind completely of all mundane thoughts and
experiences of the day. Your ritual bath should, also, begin to set the
specific vibrations conducive to your purpose into motion. You must not only
cleanse and purify but must, also, begin to create the type of energy
necessary. Once your purification process has been accomplished, you are now
ready to begin. Proceed to the special place you have previously chosen in
which to perform your magick. If at all possible, you should make use of the
primitive responses set into motion by a well chosen piece of music. Your
music should start slowly and build to a rousing climax.
THREE TIMES THREE SPELL
To have someone see his errors
This is a three times three spell to use on people who were corrupt in their ways. It has no negative consequence unless you think ill of the person while casting the spell.
Wind in the north, run through the trees
Three times three, let them see, let them see
Sands of the east, rich soils beneath
Three times three, set them free, set them free
Fires in the south, awaken from sleep
Three times three, let them see, let them see
Water of the west, flow to the seas
Three times three, set them free, set them free
It works best if you have something representing that person, like a strand of their hair or a fingernail.
The spell may not work instantaneously, you may have to repeat it for the person to see error in their ways.
Here is another good spell for getting rid of an unwanted suitor.
Take a small square of paper and write on it the name of the annoying would-be lover. Use black ink for this. Many Gypsies also say that it is best to use one of the old “dip” pens and ink, rather than a modern ballpoint, but you could experiment. Let the ink dry; don’t blot it.
Then light a white candle and burn the piece of paper in its flame while thinking of the person running away from you. Catch the ashes in something (burning the paper over an ashtray is a good idea) and carry them out to a hillside (you can do this by putting them in a small plastic bag, similar). There you must place the ashes on the upturned palm of your right hand and hold it up, saying:
Winds of the North, East, South and West,
Carry these affections to where they’ll be best.
Let her/his heart be open and free,
And let her/his mind be away from me.
Then blow on the ashes so that they scatter to the winds.

Sweet basil (1tbsp of basil in right hand.)
Pine incense (Pass the basil over the altar candles and the green candle and incense 3 times and sprinkle basil around the green candle.)

White altar candles anointed w/ sandalwood oil
5 pennies, 4 old, 1 new.
Salt Water
Orange candle anointed w/ basil oil
Parchment
Pine incense
On a waxing moon, set the altar in the east of your circle. This will need to be left up for a full waxing cycle. You will need easy access to a door. Take a new penny in your hand, Circle the altar deosil and say
“Bring to me what I see By thy power, Hecate,”
Spin rapidly deosil and go outside and toss the new penny in the air. Wherever it lands, bury all 5 pennies, saying:
“I give thee money – Hecate Return to me prosperity. I give thee five Return by three As I will So mote it be.”Return to your altar and snuff out the candles. Next week, at the same day and time, return to your altar with your talisman bag and the parchment. Light the orange candle. Visualize money flowing onto the altar. Unearth the coins and bring them to the altar. Wash them in the chalice water to purify them. Pass them through the incense smoke and the fire from the orange candle. Place each coin in the talisman pouch, old coins first. Add nine pieces of rock salt, close the mouth of the talisman pouch and face east and say:
“Bring to me what I see By thy power Hecate. Altar power Must it be Earth and Air Fire and Sea Bring to me What I see By thy power Hecate.”Place the bag inside your cloting and wear it every day for 7 days. Leave it on your altar every night visualizing prosperity. On the 7th day, hide it in the eastern portion of your house.
Items needed:
5 old pennies
5 dimes
5 quarters (or, five each of three denominations of your country’s coin currency, if outside the United States)
5 kernels of dried corn
5 sesame seeds
5 cinnamon sticks
5 cloves
5 whole allspice
5 pecans
Place each item into a thin, tall bottle, such as a spice bottle. Cap it tightly. Shake the bottle with your projective hand for five minutes while chanting these or similar words:
Herbs and silver,
Copper and grain;
Work to increase My money gain.
Place the money spell bottle on a table somewhere in your house. Leave your prse, pocketbook, wallet and/or checkbook near the bottle when at home. Allow money to come into your life.

SELF EMPOWERMENT SPELL
This is a fairly simple spell, and of course you should change it according to your tastes.
–1 white candle (probably the bigger the better)
–mirror
The candle should be cleansed before you begin, and could be infused with white energy, the energy of love and strength. Meditate upon your intentions before you begin. why do you need to empower yourself? Is it because you wish to realize the beauty within yourself, or you wish others to see the beauty or strength you know that lies within you.
This spell also works best if you do a cleansing of yourself, whether it is bath or shower or just visualize all of the negativity that you are carrying with you washing away.
The candle should be placed in front of the mirror, and the mirror should face you. Light the candle. Feel the positive energy emanating from the candle.
If you worship a deity, call upon them to help you.
Chant or say a prayer. This is an example:
I walk in beauty with the Goddess.
I am strength. I am beauty. I am will. I am love.
She is within me. All who see me, know Her.

Distance Healing Note: this ritual is an action whose end result affects another. Please make sure the recipient of these healing energies actually wants them. Preparation You will need 3 candles, incense, a picture of the recipient (if you have one, great, if not, write the recipients name on a piece of paper, and visualize him/her), and a quartz crystal (optional). The candles should be Blue, White, and Pink. The incense should be composed of one part ginger and one part rosemary. The Ritual Light the candles in a semi-circle in front of you. Place the incense off to one side, and place the picture inside the semi-circle, facing you, with the crystal sitting on it. Center yourself. Inhale the incense, and gather your energies. When you feel you have reached the maximum amount of energy you can hold, release it by directing it to the recipient. Directing it through a piece of quartz enhances the distance the energy can travel and not lose force.
MAGICKAL FEEL BETTER TOKEN
This is a spell you can do extremely quickly and it is surprisingly effective.
Use it when a friend is feeling down or sick. There are no special ingredients
except for:
A small piece of paper (post-it note size, torn from a piece of loose leaf is
fine)3 different colored pens.
On the paper, write “Magickal Feel Better Token” in the different colored inks. Then outline the words in the pens, curving around the letters. Around the words, put interesting symbols, hearts, swirls, starts, etc.. While you are
doing this, the good intentions you have will flow into the paper. When you are done, add a little boost by envisioning your healing power flowing into the
paper. It thereby becomes a charm.
SYMPATHETIC SORCERY FOR ILL HEALTH
Cut your fingernails and trim your hair. The nail and hair clippings should then be either buried or thrown into a stream, river or running water. The water will wash the illness away.
Materials: A bright red or orange candle, a spicy incense, a glass of clear pure cold water, and a bowl of sea salt. If is sunny out you may want to start the spell by going outside for a few minutes and breathing in some fresh air. Sit in front of the candle and say:
“Give me energy to happily complete the task I have been given to do.
I will feel better for having done it. The completion of the task will be my reward.”
Sprinkle the sea salt around the candle and say,
“Give me strength, O sacred Earth.”
Pass your hand near the candle and say
“Give me strength O sacred Fire.”
Pass your hand through the smoke of the incense and say,
“Give me strength, O sacred Air.”
Drink the water down and say
“Give me strength O sacred water.”
Now immediately get up and go do your task.
SPELL TO HEAL OLD WOUNDS AND MAKE A FRESH START
Perform on an incoming tide, when the moon’s new hold a silver coin,
2 seashells, and Vervain leaves in your hand and hold it towards the sea and
ask for the moon’s blessing.
Then drink a toast to the sea and moon. Focus on your purpose and throw 1 shell as far as you can into the ocean (while chanting your wish). With the other, write your wish and your name in the sand below the tide mark.
Wrap the shell and coin in the Vervain leaves and count seven waves hitting the shore, and bury it in the middle of your message.
As you wait for the tide, chant:
“Tide and time receive my wish
And grant me new beginnings”
