It’s a great time for spells connected to love and abundance.

June’s Full Strawberry Moon will take place on June 21, 2024, the day following the Summer Solstice. When it comes to the Strawberry Moon’s spiritual meaning, it’s the time of the year to focus on love, abundance, and prosperity.

If that sounds similar to the Flower Moon, it’s because it is. Some of the themes that were just blooming then are coming into their peak now.

Full Moon spells, rituals, and correspondences for the Strawberry Moon are related to love and prosperity. In June 2024, the Full Moon is in Capricorn, so if there are some practical ways you can move forward on those goals, now is the time to put those ideas into place.

Why Is June’s Full Moon Called the Strawberry Moon?

We call it the Strawberry Moon because it is the name some Indigenous American tribes used to describe the time of the year when strawberries are ripe. Though, sometimes, the Moon itself looks slightly reddish.

June’s Moon may be the last Full Moon for spring, or in the case this year, the first Full Moon of summer. Many of its other names for this Moon are connected to the sense that everything is in flow and is coming to fruition.

June was named after the goddess Juno, the Roman Goddess of marriage and childbirth. And, according to NASA, “The tradition of calling the first month of marriage the “honeymoon” may be tied to this full Moon because of the custom of marrying in June or because the “Honey Moon” is the “sweetest” Moon of the year.” (Though, sometimes, the first full Moon following this would be in July.)

Simple Full Moon Ritual for the Strawberry Moon

Meditate or take a ritual bath to center and focus your energy on your intention. As the energy is more Earth-based this month, if you can meditate safely outside, you might find it more rewarding.

Cleanse the space using smoke from your preferred cleansing herb. Move the smoke around your altar in a clockwise manner. You may also create a circle using salt, flowers, or herbs. Create the circle in a clockwise fashion.

If you wish to charge Moon water, place water on your altar or where it will be bathed in the Moon’s light. Place any crystals you want to charge on your altar or where they will be under the moonlight.

Light the candles on your altar.

Use the journal prompts above or begin to journal about what you wish to let go of this Full Moon on one page. Write about what you wish to bring in on another. Do not judge yourself, simply let your intuition and higher self guide you. If you feel scattered, take a break to bring your focus back to your breath. Breathe slowly and mindfully, then begin again.

If you feel compelled to do so, you may burn the page containing what you wish to release. Do so in a fireproof bowl.

Stay in the calm, focused energy as long as desire, then thank the Moon, any deities you’ve worked with. In doing so, you will close the circle. If you have created a physical circle, remove it slowly and with intention in a counterclockwise fashion.

The Full Moon: Your Heart’s Desire Seek

A powerful energy for rituals of prophecy, divination and protection. Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

You’ll try hard to move ahead in these areas. Because of your enhanced public image, many of you will get a promotion at work, public recognition, and certainly, the esteem of your peers. This is a time of success! Many of you will travel more. However, some will instead use this opportunity to change your field of work to medicine, healing, the law, higher education and travel. If so, don’t expect a promotion. Gather ye rosebuds while ye may!

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Make sure your passport is up-to-date and your luggage is at hand because in the next 12 months, chances to travel will abound! In addition, you can explore opportunities in higher education, legal matters, publishing, the media and medicine (Think back to 2013-14. Were these activities stronger then?) In a nutshell, you’ll pursue activities that expand your experience of the world. Many of you will become more involved with foreign people or foreign countries. This is an excellent window for writing and publishing. You might also be interested in a human potential movement or a consciousness-raising group.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Your financial picture will improve in the next 12 months because lucky Jupiter is entering one of your Money Houses, specifically the House that deals with inheritances, shared property, anything that is jointly owned, plus the wealth and resources of others, especially your partner. For example, you might benefit indirectly because someone close to you gets richer. You will also attract money to you through financial institutions. It’s a great time to ask for a loan or a mortgage because people will be willing to help you. Some might experience a religious or spiritual regeneration, or explore the occult, or mystical literature because you want answers to hidden secrets.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

For the first time since 2013-14, lucky Jupiter will be opposite your sign for the next 12 months. This will improve your closest friendships and partnerships in a beautiful way. (Even with your enemies!) That’s why this is the best window in over a decade for Capricorns to get married. Since others benefit you this year, including members of the general public, it’s an excellent time to get professional help through experts like lawyers, doctors, consultants or astrologers. You might deepen a relationship with someone from another country or a different culture. Those who marry this year might marry someone slightly older or more established. Ka-ching!

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Jupiter changing signs this week is most fortuitous because in the bigger picture, you’re entering a two to three-year window where job changes and residential moves (perhaps both) – are highly likely. (Even if you don’t think so.) Meanwhile, as Jupiter moves into Cancer this week, it means that in the next 12 months (longer for some of you), you will have marvellous opportunities to improve your existing job or get a better job! For example, your dreadful boss might suddenly get transferred to Timbuktu. Your problems at work will be diminished. (But if you’re moving on to something better – who cares?) In a nutshell, this is your best time in over a decade to get a better job, improve your health and experience joy with your pets.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Lucky you! You can count on an exciting, promising year ahead because lucky Jupiter is now entering the most fun-filled part of your chart! In the next 12 months, you’ll enjoy sitting back and enjoying the good life. Your creative potential will be enormous. Your health will feel invigorated, and you’ll have an increased sense of well-being. Financial matters will improve. Vacations, travel for pleasure, romance and anything related to sports and the education or care of children will get a lovely benefit. Relations with others will improve tremendously. In fact, romance with someone from a radically different background or another country might occur. You won’t feel it’s necessary to hide from the world. You want greater freedom of self-expression!

The Moon phase for June 8th, 2025 is a Waxing Gibbous phase. This is the phase where the moon is more than 50% illuminated but has not yet reached 100% illumination (which would be a Full Moon).
