…

The Moon phase for October 7th, 2026 is a Waning Crescent phase. This is the phase where the moon is less than 50% illuminated but has not yet reached 0% illumination (which would be a New Moon).

In this part of the moon cycle, it is getting closer and closer to the Sun as viewed from Earth and the night side of the Moon is facing earth with a decreasingly thin crescent being illuminated.

The waning (shrinking) crescement Moon will rise at around midnight, transit the meridian after sunrise, before setting after noon. This phase is best viewed 1-2 hours before sunrise and is a great time to see the features of the Moon’s surface. Along the illuminated crescent you can see the craters and mountains of the moon casting long shadows.

The Waxing Gibbous phase, like all moon phases, will last for just over 7 days. The actual length will vary because of the elliptical shaped orbit of the moon. During this Waxing Gibbous phase the moon will rise in the east in the mid- to late-afternoon and will be high in the eastern sky at sunset.

Assuming it’s a clear night, the Waxing Gibbous moon will then be visible through most of the night before setting just before sunrise.

Queen of Pentacle – Major Arcana

I. The meaning of the Queen of Pentacles Shadowscapes Tarot

Queen of Pentacles Shadowscapes Tarot has always desired to look after and nurture others. She was full of generosity and possessed a warm soul. Her arms spread in a fan shape around her body which reminds us of the embodiment of Durga, the ten-hand goddess of Hinduism, representing the feminine creative energy source. She is a devoted, protective, trustworthy and honest person. She always upheld the safety of the material she held and her position in society.

Queen of Pentacles Shadowscapes Tarot will always be willing to give her support to anyone who asks for it. She holds the power of the old Oak tree, which she herself sees as part of her body (or which itself is a part of her). She is always willing to share this source of power, a source of gold energy that comes from life and the warmth of the sun itself, crept in the branches and transform it into the purest energy.

“Take it, always take it with you and remember, I am always with you!” She whispered, plucking a leaf from a nearby branch. Everything rustled around the song around her. They murmured and hissed hundreds of voices at once, a strange combination of the secrets she was holding.

Phagos

Teaching, education, mastery, virtuosity, legacy

Tree: Beech (Fagus spp.)

Letter: Ph or F

Phagos is a reminder of the mental discipline it takes in the process of acquiring knowledge. When you get to the point of knowing a subject so well, you can teach it effortlessly, then you have mastered the subject on the mental plane, which reverberates through the other planes. Saturated knowledge is knowing a thing inside and out. Those who believe in reincarnation believe this is the kind of knowledge that does not go away when you shed one mortal body for the next one: for instance, a skilled midwife will stand a good chance of coming back as a competent ob/gyn who stumbles upon their talent in a seemingly random way. Or a lute player may be reborn and pick up the guitar at age twelve and learn it faster than any other kid in their class because of knowledge picked up in past lifetimes.

Teaching and inspiring others to master a subject is the physical manifestation of knowledge, or in old terminology, the Word made flesh. Beech tree bark makes a primitive form of paper. Phagos implies the written word and the transmission of knowledge through our uniquely human invention: writing.

Teachers and teaching are often undervalued in the modern West, with denigrations such as “those who can, do; those who can’t, teach,” being thrown about by the arrogant who have never been able to translate their mental skill in a way that consistently inspires others to learn. Bad teachers abound, and they can be bad for any number or reasons: some choose teaching when they have no passion for it, some want the glory of being labeled a teacher. Everybody knows that a good teacher is worth their weight in gold when it comes to the transmission of knowledge, and that a bad teacher is hardly worth the powder to blow them to hell, and often what a teacher is paid has nothing to do with what they’re worth. If you have a good teacher, let them know. Learn all you can while you are able to do so with the best teachers you can find (we live in the age of the internet, and a huge number of great teachers “live” there). Concentrate on a small number of subjects until you gain complete mastery, because you will take that knowledge with you long after your current flesh body dies. If you know a subject well enough to teach it, this Ogham is encouraging you to spread the wealth of your knowledge with other humans in a direct and potentially physical way such as writing.

Being a Libra born on October 6th…

Astrological symbol: Scales. This symbolizes tact, balance, stability out of two forces and sense of justice. It influences people born between September 23 and October 22 when the Sun is in Libra, the seventh zodiac sign.

The Libra Constellation is spread on an area of 538 sq degrees between Virgo to the West and Scorpio to the East. Its visible latitudes are +65° to -90° and it has no first magnitude stars.

The Greeks name it Zichos while the Italians prefer their own Bilancia, however the origin of the October 6 zodiac sign, the Scales, is the Latin Libra.

Opposite sign: Aries. This suggests orderliness and courage and shows how Aries natives are thought to represent and have everything Libra sun sign people ever wanted.

Modality: Cardinal. Shows how much bravery and challenge exists in the lives of those born on October 6 and how goal-driven they are in general.

Ruling house: The seventh house. This means that Libras are placed in a house which puts great interest on partnerships and the importance of having the best people around. This is somehow the life quest of Libras and the point that when achieved can bring the most satisfactions.

Ruling body: Venus. This connection seems to suggest aesthetics and optimism. Venus is one of the planets with double rulership, over Taurus and Libra. This also shows a focus on sincerity.

Element: Air. This element suggests an emotional experimentation of life through each of its stages and a sense of approachability throughout for people born under the October 6 zodiac sign. When associated with the other three elements, it either heats, dissipates or smothers them.

Lucky day: Wednesday. This weekday is ruled by Mercury symbolizing reason and consciousness. It reflects upon the fair nature of Libra people and the orderly flow of this day.

Lucky numbers: 1, 4, 10, 16, 25.

Motto: “I balance!”

People born on October 6 are caring and understanding and everyone around them can count on their helping hand. They appreciate small gestures and good entertainment and they are in general happy with the life they have. They are thoughtful and dislike shallow people above anything else. They feel most at ease when in the company of their partners and if this happens in a quiet evening, even better.

Positive Traits: These natives are circumspect and rational when it comes to their long term objectives and the cohesion of what they’ve built around them but can be highly utopian and avant-garde with other people. They share their ideas and eagerness rapidly but they are also the ones to come with the rational path and enlist the obstacles on the way. They are efficient and accommodating and often surprise others with their stubbornness.

Negative Traits: To chill and stop over thinking is one thing Libra needs to learn. Worrying only makes them act hastily. Those born on this day are distressed and over thinking at times. They are sometimes subjective and egotistic despite their fame of being the most helpful and accepting people. They also have their moments of being way too belittling and fastidious.

Love and Compatibility: Lovers born on October 6 are romantic and affectionate. They seek for a lifetime partner to whom they can commit and create a balanced and accomplishing relationship. They are attracted to enthusiastic and imaginative people that are as reliable as they are. You can conquer the heart of Libra if you are trustworthy and energetic. When they are single they are in no hurry to enter a relationship if they don’t feel it’s the right thing to do, they focus instead on their own self development.

Their love affairs grow from strong friendships. They need time to know the person likely to stay beside them and although they are not usually a passionate lover their loyalty and honesty compensate. They are very kind souls and this won’t remain unnoticed by the important persons around them in life. They will lead a great inner home happiness governed by domestic responsibility and good judgment. They are most compatible with those born on the 1st, 6th, 9th, 10th, 15th, 18th, 19th, 24th and 27th.

October 6 Zodiac people are very attached to the other two air signs: Gemini and Aquarius as they tend to share the same vision of life. In life, Libra is in a constant search for an active and visionary partner to expand their horizon and the one to offer them this is the native in Aquarius. The lover in Libra is thought to be least compatible with Aries. As for the rest of compatibilities between the other star signs and Libra, you know what they say, stars predispose but people dispose.

Lucky color: Blue is the color said to be representative for Libra people born with October 6. Other colors representative for Libra are pink and green.

Representative birthstone: The birthstone that is representative for Libras with October 6 is the rare and gentle Opal. Another precious stone considered beneficial for Libra natives is Jade. It represents practical wits.

Symbolic metal: Bronze is the metal of preference for Libra natives, especially those born under the October 6. Another metal considered beneficial for Libra natives is Copper.

Characteristics: October 6 Zodiac belongs to the second decan of LIBRA (October 3-October 13). This decan is strongly influenced by the planet Uranus. This is representative for people who are affectionate and understanding just like Libra and curious and enthusiastic just like Uranus. This period is said to temper the characteristics of the Libra zodiac sign.

Statistics Say: In the Gregorian Calendar, October 6 is the 279th day of the year or the 280th day in leap years, while until the end of the year there are 86 days left. The thirty sixth day of autumn, this is also the Memorial Day for the Martyrs of Arad in Hungary.

Libra is the fifth zodiac sign in order from most common to least commonly met. Odd numbered sign, it is of positive meaning and considered to carry a masculine symbolism. This portrays extrovert people who are amicable and very open. An archetype used to describe this sign is the Flirt. Libra is reckoned as the sing carrying the best chances for a happy marriage.

Most Powerful Addiction Spell

WOTC’s Lady Carla Beltane’s Grimoire

Sep 9, 2023

Edit

(SIDE NOTE from Lady Carla Beltane: Normally I would not post something on here that I post on the WOTC website but as this may be needed by someone who doesnot follow witchesofthecrsft.com I decided to post it here also.

No one can stop an addiction unless they truly want to. I am speaking from experience not just quoting something I read. I have been smoking cigarettes on and off since 10 1/2 years old. I have quit numerous times including all 6 times I have been pregnant and nursing the baby and at other times in my life but as soon as I hit a rough spot the first thing, I reach for is a cigarette. Now being in my mid-sixties and wanting to see even my youngest grandchild grow into adulthood along with dancing at all 10 of my grandchildren’s weddings I am trying to quit for good. This was the furthest thing from my mind today as I was looking for a spell to share with you but as I was looking for an animal type of spell this addiction spell kind of jumped out at me. As I have written a few spells and even a couple of rituals to stop smoking along with trying herbal remedies and other ways to give up cigarettes my intentions were not as dedicated to this life changing task as I thought they were. So, I feel it is time to try what someone else has written but tweak it to fit the addiction I want to stop once and for all. )

INSENCE:

Rose (or choice) (Sandalwood incense can also be used as a substitute for any other type of incense.)
White Sage

MEDICINE BAG:

Green

INK:

Doves Blood and quile (please do not seek out a dead Dove as it might have died for some type of bird illness that could be transferred to you or from an abundance of fleas. For me I will be using Dragon Blood ink that is available through Amazon and other online retailers.)

SEALS:

Figure 25- Greater Keys of Solomon, First Mars
Figure 26- Greater Keys of Solomon Mars

PROTECTIVE SALT ( I will give the repice for making sacred white and black salt in the “Spell For” post tomorrow.)

Casting Directions for ‘Most Powerful Addiction Spell’

This is extremely serious work and extremely taxing. IT SHOULD BE DONE IN A PROTECTIVE CIRCLE. When dealing with addiction you’re coping with the physical, spiritual, and emotional being of the person that is afflicted. It’s an disease.

To cast your circle. Light a white candle at the middle of the area you will be working in. Take salt and do a circle big enough for you to work in in a clock wise direction. I usually start in the South. When finished with your circle call from the 4 Arch Angles Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, and Raphael to protect you will doing your job. Face South and telephone in Michael to join you. I say the name three times and wait until I feel his presence before calling in the next Angel. Telephone in Uriel facing West, Raphael facing North, and Gabriel facing East. Finish by confronting South again. You’re now ready to start the work.

Charge your Green Candle by employing the healing oil of your choice. I usually begin at the top and work my way down to the middle and then begin again at the bottom and work my way into the centre charging the candle with the intention to cure. Light the candle.

Clean each and every rock with the power of Air, Water, Earth, and Fire. I usually run the stone through the light of the White Candle cleansing it by Fire, utilize White Sage Smoke to cleans it by Air, Water to cleans it by Water, and Salt to cleans it by Earth.

You can consecrate each stone with the healing oil you have selected. Holding it in your hand (the one you write with) and focusing on the purpose of each stone will help charge it. I also concentrate on the person I am doing it for. Place each stone in the Green Medicine Bag when completed.

I use the Seals of King Solomon for the purpose of this bag but if you’ve got another healing seal that you prefer it can also be used. You may draw the seals on parchment with Doves Blood Ink. Make the seals small enough to fit in the bag or you may chose to set them on the bag its self.

Wile producing this spell I found some information on Demons that are associated with alcoholism according to King Solomon. Deception is the first named Demon and has a corresponding Angle called Lamechalal that stops its progress. Strife is the next Demon but she is frusterated by Baruchiachel. Klothod is the third Demon but is frusterated by Marmarath. The fourth Demon was not appointed but gave a description and corresponding Angle. ” I cause men to forget their sobriety and moderation. I part them and divide them into parties; for Strife follows me hand in hand. I rend the husband from the sharer of the bed, andB children from parents, and brother.” ” I have an Angle that frusterates me, The Great Balthial.” The fifth Demon is called Power but is fruterated by Asteraoth. The sixth Demon is called Error and is frusterated by Uriel. The seventh Demon is known as Spartan and it makes people worst than they had been to begin with It’s frusterated with a Locust. I got a part of Locust jewelry for this purpose.

I would also include the names of the Angles which fight the Demons on parchment in this bag with a request to each of them to frusterate and cast out the Demons.

I’m doing this work and it’s a LONG PROCESS. The materials are often tough TO FIND but woth it. THE DEMONS WILL SENCE YOU GETTING READY TO CAST THEM OUT SO BE PREPAIRED. I’ve undergone ANGER, DOUBT, all kinds of attacks wile doing this work or preparing to do it. I’ve had people report FEAR because the Demons have been disturbed and know they will soon be cast out. It’s very important that the person you’re preparing this bag for continue to go to what program they are attending. THIS BAG WILL HELP THEM but there has to be effort on their part too.

Bring All the Elements into Every Room in Your Home or Office

WOTC’s Lady Carla Beltane’s Grimoire

Aug 3, 2023

Edit

I am mainly an Earth and Kitchen Witch, so I like to have something related to my eclectic pagan path in every room of my home including my basement and enclosed front porch. As I have visitors that I have to keep my spiritual path on the down low with I use the following ideas to still have my home be my quiet, protected place.

I use different style, clear glass containers to match the rooms decor. In these I place some stones for Earth, a seashell for Water, a matchstick for Fire, and a small feather for Air. I suggest putting the feather on the bottom or somewhere close to the middle of the other objects, so it does not get blown away. Then as most people believe in angels in one form or another, I place a small angel statue next to the container holding the other elements for Spirit.

I bless each clear glass container by saying, “Earth, Air, Fire, and Water please bring me what I need from you each day. I charge you to help protect my home.” I repeat this nine times over each clear glass container in the room it belongs in and finish with, “These are my words, this is my will, so mote it be.”

For each angel statue I bless it by saying, “Please help me have clear thoughts and sight to stay on my true-life path. Help me to remember to be kind to everyone I come in contact with no matter how they may treat and/or talk me. “I repeat this nine times over each angel in the room it belongs in and finish with, “These are my words, this is my will, so mote it be.”

If you want, you can included a black stone in each container and make one to carry in a pocket or purse with PUT AH written on it. PUT AH stands for the following:

Patience

Understanding

Tolerance

Acceptance

Harmony

To charge each stone with these attributes say this spell nine times while holding it in your power hand (the hand you write with):

I ask for patience, understanding, and tolerance

for better acceptance of people, places, situations, they way people talk to or about me

so I can live in better harmony within myself, my home, work, and world.

These are my words, this is my will, so mote it be

The reason I say the blessings and spells nines time each is to make it strong as it comes out to three times three.

HARE

Although hares and rabbits look similar, they have very different symbolism. A hare is bigger than a rabbit, has longer ears, and possesses more powerful hind legs. The two most abundant kinds are the European Brown Hare and the Snowshoe Hare. The Snowshoe Hare is strongly linked to the Snowy Owl population, such that when hare populations are down, the owls stop breeding, and even die from starvation. The hare is more solitary and tougher than the rabbit. Hares don’t live in warrens or have maternity nests. The young hares are born so well-developed that they can fend for themselves within a few hours of their birth.

The hare is associated with a number of myths from many different cultures. The Algonquin tribe honored the Great Hare as a demiurge, a role in the creation of the world. The Egyptians also saw the hare involved in a creation story. For them, the hare came to mean procreation, and then immorality. While the hare is often associated with impatience and haste (like the “Tortoise and the Hare” fable), it’s important to note that other cultures, like the Goths, saw the hare as fleet and swift, and symbols of diligence. This reflects the attitudes of medieval hunters, who viewed hares as a challenge to catch.

Hare people are considered sensitive and artistic, and also linked with ambition, fitness, and virtue. However, the hare is not just associated with positive things. Hares are also thought of as greedy and selfish, even a bad example for people. Hare is seen as a jokester, linked with trickery and fraud. Even those with hare medicine are clever, often unreliable, and frequently thinking of themselves.

Although hare has some qualities that are less than redeeming, there are things he can teach us. Because they move in leaping and hopping motions, those with rabbit and hare totems can expect changes in their own lives in the same kind of movement. Hare can also aid people in recognizing the signs around them by attuning to lunar cycles and understanding the tides of movement in their own lives.

COLL/CALL

C, sometimes read as K, is Coll, which is the Hazel tree. August is known as the Hazel Moon, because this is when Hazel nuts appear on the trees–the world Coll translates to “the life force inside you”, and what better symbol of life than the nut itself? Hazel is associated with wisdom and creativity and knowledge. Sometimes it is connected in Celtic lore with magical springs, sacred wells, and divination.

Hazel was a handy tree to have around. It was used by many English pilgrims to make staffs for use upon the road–not only was it a sturdy walking stick, it also provided a modicum of self-defense for weary travelers. Certainly, it could have been used as well for ritual. Hazel was used in weaving of baskets by medieval folk, and the leaves were fed to cattle because it was believed this would increase the cow’s supply of milk.

In the Irish myth cycles, there is a tale that nine hazel nuts dropped into a sacred pool. A salmon came along in the pool and gobbled up the nuts, which then imbued him with wisdom. A variation of the story appears in the legend of Finn Mac Cumhail, who ate the salmon and then took on the knowledge and wisdom of the fish. Note that Mac Cumhail is often translated as Mac Coll.

Coll Correspondences

Mundane Aspects: Take advantage of your own artistry or creativity, and share your knowledge with others so they too can practice these arts. Lead by example, and teach those who wish to learn. Find inspiration for your creative gifts, whatever your talent may be.

Magical Aspects: Let the divine guide you in your creative journey. Speak to the gods through your art, and be rewarded with inspiration. If you’re stuck in a creative rut, call upon the Divine to send you a Muse.

FIVE

The most vibrant, freedom-loving of all numbers in numerology

A DYNAMIC FORCE

The 5 is unpredictable, always in motion, and constantly in search of change.

Although it is molded from an almost equal mix of freedom-loving and loyal characteristics, the 5 is slightly more daring, and there is nothing submissive about it.

The 5 is extremely independent in mind and soul.

Many 5s choose careers that require travel or otherwise offer a regular change of environment. People working in the travel industry, small business owners, independent consultants, lawyers, and those in sales often have the 5 in their core numbers.

The 5 can adjust quickly to pretty much anything coming their way.

Perhaps the most dominating trait of the 5 is the uncompromising demand for freedom in thought and action.

On the negative side, the 5 can be selfish, thoughtless, and irresponsible.
